Question from Elfwego (08:47, 15 January 2025)

[edit]

Hello. I'm new and you are assigned as my mentor. How to go about creating citation? --Elfwego (talk) 08:47, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Elfwego Welcome to Wikipedia! For a beginners guide to citation see Wikipedia:Citing sources, keep in mind Wikipedia:Reliable sources policy while adding them.
For a more broader guide to how you can help out here, have a look at Help:Introduction. Hope that helps! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 09:54, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from ThaHistorico (06:55, 16 January 2025)

[edit]

I made an edit, and it was undid. Why? It was even undid in about 20 minutes after I edited it --ThaHistorico (talk) 06:55, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@ThaHistorico Your edit to Ankara-Samsun Motorway was reverted per WP:EXT policy by @Johnj1995:. I am not sure why your edit to Angel Delight was reverted. I have ping the editor who reverted it for their input. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 07:31, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can You give me a better understanding of what WP:EXT is? ThaHistorico (talk) 07:43, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@ThaHistorico I'm actually busy for the day or two, try asking at Wikipedia:Teahouse ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 07:46, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please one more question, This Johnj1995 of a person, he is the one that undid the two posts in question.
Is he an admin or something? Why was he monitoring me? What was his interest in two of my edits of difference topics? That he even undid it just few minutes after my edit. Please, I need advice. ThaHistorico (talk) 08:47, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Volunteers like me and you watch over the contributions of other fellow editors and find and revert cases that do not follow the WP:Policies and guidelines of Wikipedia, and cases of WP:Vandalism. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 09:04, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
But is it okay if I re-edit an "undid" edit? I'm trying not to disobey Wiki law ThaHistorico (talk) 09:16, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Keep in mind WP:Edit warring and WP:Dispute resolution. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 09:21, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

reign length

Yes, where we have information about reign lenght this is most relevant, with the date estimates following. This has been used on a bunch of other pages for ancient kings like pharahos and babylonian kings. It allows the viewer to get a fast impression how long he reigned and approximately when. You should restore it. Thanks for your input. Raven rs (talk) 03:05, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Raven rs I'm a bit confused. Could you provide some links to pages of diffs I have done? ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 11:23, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You can look at Sneferu and Khufu, or Ammi-Saduqa as three of many exampels. Raven rs (talk) 22:38, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Raven rs I did not edit any of the pages listed above, are you sure you are contacting the right person? ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 13:24, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, it was your BunnysBot, but Remsense may have done the edit. I edited "43 regnal years" to the reign of Hammurabi, with the dates below. Remsense didn't like that. Wrong person yes, sorry :)

Question from Awalen321 (07:50, 20 January 2025)

[edit]

Hi Bunny - I recently submitted an article for Reflex Aerospace, and it was rejected. I would love any feedback on how to adapt or adjust it to get it published. --Awalen321 (talk) 07:50, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Awalen321 The article seems to have been declined due to lack of reliable sources (see WP:RS). You also seem to have a Conflict of Interest with this subject, editing/creating the article as the employee of the company might come under pain editing, make sure you follow the rules and policies outlined under WP:COI, WP:PAID and WP:PROMO. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 13:28, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think there's any possibility of being able to get the article approved after edits? Or will my being an employee of the company negate the possibility entirely under the WP:COI? Awalen321 (talk) 14:35, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Awalen321 As long as you follow policies, use sources, and disclose your coi, I do not see any issue. Do for forget to disclose your coi or paid contributions. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:06, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I win! Woahglaceon (talk) 17:48, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Woahglaceon What an unpleasant comment: XfDs are not some kind of competition. As the editor who closed the discussion, I'd ask you to consider striking this. Cremastra (talk) 16:57, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
oh come on it was meant to be friendly :( Woahglaceon (talk) 18:37, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Woahglaceon everything we do here is an discussion for the betterment of the Wikipedia. There is no point of that comment ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 03:29, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You moved recently 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ... for replacing a centered precomposed ellipsis with three dots. The standard in mathematics is that an ellipsis after + must composed of centered dots (·). Please, move this article again by changing the three dots into three centered dots. (I did the change in the article body). Thanks in advance. D.Lazard (talk) 14:53, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@D.Lazard Apologies for the delayed response. The move seems to have been reversed by David Eppstein. It was asked at RMTR by @Hairy Dude citing MOS:ELLIPSES, it was also also an oversight on my end that the centered dots were intentional. I will keep an eye out for such errors from now. Sorry for the mistaken move! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 12:16, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
