Hey Bunnypranav, I see you're fastely accepting Pending edits on WP:AFC without losing quality of working and I hope you everytime successfully clearing backlogs of Pending Changes. Happy editing! --- Bhairava7 • (@píng mє-tαlk mє) 15:47, 5 December 2024 (UTC) |
- Hey @Bhairava7,
- Thanks for the barnstar. Honestly speaking, I did not expect any award for AfC of all stuff. I felt that AfC was my weakest area of contributions. Thanks again for your gratitude! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:51, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Followup from Page mover perms request regarding RMs
Moved from Page mover permision request with slight modification. Hey there, I saw you've been starting to help out with RMTR and RMs lately and wanted to welcome you :) I do have a small note, that I recommend to brush up on our WP:AT policies as this RM (and related RMTR request) was not a good RM request. Since the community puts a lot of trust in closers, especially with higher page mover permissions, we should have a good grasp on the core policies, especially since WP:PTOPIC is one of the most common contention in RMs. Feel free to reply if you have any question. Happy editing :) Raladic (talk) 19:11, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
Hey, I just came across an RM that you're involved in and noticed that you relisted it, but you were the person that opened the RM. Note that in general, relisting should be left to uninvolved editors per WP:RMRELIST. Just something to keep in mind for the future :)Raladic (talk) 21:35, 7 December 2024 (UTC)- Hey @Raladic, thanks for the welcome. I will definately look through the policies you mentioned. I now do realise that the RM I started was not that good, I should have suggested better titles.
- In your second comment, you mentioned an RM that I relisted, but it was opened by FromCzech, not me. The only RM I started that I can remember is the Von der Leyen one. Please reply if there is any confusion.
- I would like to ask you a question about closing RMs, as you are an experienced page mover. If it has not been 7 days since a relist, but there seems to be a clear consensus since the relist, is an early close advisable? ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 04:44, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, my bad on the second one, I missed that you were just relisting it, not the opener (the formatting of the line was deceiving and your name because of the pretty formatting popped into my eye, so I missed that it was another editor who opened the RM), so all good.
- As to your other question - Typically when we relist and it's the first relisting, we wait the 7 days (so basically it pops up again on the expired listings) unless a very clear consensus suddenly appears.
- So basically, if you relist and suddenly a few editors jump in and it becomes clear in a few days, yes, you can close early. Otherwise, just wait until it pops back into the queue of elapsed listings and if it's still unclear, you can either decide to close it as no consensus (best with a comment summarizing the state of the discussion that led you to see it as no consensus), or you can leave it there in the list for another closer to evaluate who may decide to relist a second time, or close it themself. That's also why some discussion end up in the backlog below when closers may not quite know what to do, so they may sit there idle for a few days longer on the off chance that more comments come in late, and then eventually typically get closed as no consensus if that was the state of the discussion. The other reason sometimes why something pops into the backlog is if it requires a lot of post-move cleanup like retargeting a lot of links due to primary page swaps and such that.
- Hope that helps, feel free to reach out with any more questions :) Raladic (talk) 05:17, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Raladic Thanks for the detailed response. Appreciate your help towards people willing to learn. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 05:31, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

What's the value of the other edits
Considering the issue of damage when the bot goes wrong, like here, what is the actual value of cosmetic edits like this one, or worse apparently wrong ones like this one? Fram (talk) 15:58, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Fram, thanks for quickly spotting and stopping the bot. I am sorry for the disruption caused. The page creation seems to have been caused by a misconfiguration in AWB, it is now fixed.
- I enabled the Skip if only cosmetic edits in AWB, but looks like it still occurs for some pages cosmetic edits are being done. I looks like I have to do some semi-automated supervised runs to see it's root cause.
- Again, I'm sorry for the disruption, and will ensure my best to prevent this in the future. Thanks! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 12:19, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
This as well seems totally useless. Fram (talk) 16:01, 11 December 2024 (UTC)

Blank articles
Hello bot operator -- You seem to somehow be creating blank pages in error. Please stop until you have fixed this problem, it is disruptive. Espresso Addict (talk) 16:34, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Espresso Addict,
- Thanks for the note, I am sorry for the late reply due to time zones and IRL. This seems due to a small misconfiguration in the AWB skip options on my end, which caused this blunder of creating pages. The error should now be fixed. Again, I'm really sorry for the disruption caused. Thanks! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 12:09, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
BunnysBot: Disambiguation pages
Hey there, I've noticed that while your bot is fixing the reflist error (003 for the CheckWiki project), it's adding the references heading and reflist tag despite disambiguation pages not supposing to have references anyway (WP:DDD; I use WPCleaner to fix that exact error usually which is how I came across this). Might want to make sure your bot is skipping over them if it detects a disambiguation page while going through the articles. Procyon117 (talk) 13:57, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the observation. I'll skip pages containing the dab templates. Recently my AWB config got messed up, (see above) the cause for such issues. @Procyon117 did you revert the changes already, or should I do it now? ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 14:00, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- I reverted the two most recent examples I came across, I'll have a look and see if there's any more. I'll reply to this message once I've found them all (at least, I hope so, since some disambiguation pages aren't labelled as such in the title). Procyon117 (talk) 14:03, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- No worries, I'll also have a look. Thanks again for the note! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 14:07, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- From a cursory look, those two were the only ones. Procyon117 (talk) 14:12, 12 December 2024 (UTC)

Request for reconsideration of requested move discussion closure
Question from ShareKnowledge Canada (15:06, 14 December 2024)
Hi. I have written an autobiography as a door-to-door salesman from age 8 until I retired in 2011. I would like to have a placement on your service to ensure its longevity when I am gone. How do I accomplish this? My book can be seen on my website at tonyhebert.com. It's free so there is no monetary gain for me I am merely supplying many life lessons I learned to help our youth and others as they also strive for success in life. My book is called "Finding My Power of Want". No other books like it anywhere explore this underlying life motivation. I look forward to your response. Tony --ShareKnowledge Canada (talk) 15:06, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @ShareKnowledge Canada,
- Autobiographies are often discouraged on Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.
- If you still want to publish your article and are confident it follows the policies of Wikipedia:Notability (people), Wikipedia:Reliable sources, Wikipedia:No original research, use the Wikipedia:Article wizard and submit a draft. A uninvolved reviewer then may or may not accept it depending on its content. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:11, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
Alternate titling during RM discussions
Hi there. During your relisting you proffered a different title that was already part of the original nom. May I suggest that you should avoid closing this discussion if you make such a question as it can appear as a form of a super vote. Mentioning this isn’t a bad idea, as sometimes when relishing you can see consensus leaning a specific way and want to call attention to it, but even in those cases I would discourage you from closing as it introduces your relisting comment as now being an involved editor versus uninvolved. TiggerJay (talk) 06:03, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Tiggerjay, sorry for the delayed response.
- I didn't clearly realize that the alt title was already mentioned in the nom, seeing some comments leaning to another title I thought I'd relist it to see which one is more preferred by the community. Now that I see it, I should have written the comment asking for clear opinion on which title is preferred, due to the almost split arguments. I have struck the comment which might look like a vote.
- Anyways, based on my limited activity at RM compared to other closers, this will probably be closed by someone else other than me. I'll still keep in mind to avoid this in-case any opposition due to my probable involvement might arise. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:05, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yep, no problem... I've seen things become contentious before with relisting comments being brought up at move reviews if the same person closes them, so I just wanted to caution you. TiggerJay (talk) 15:17, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:54, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

User right to blank their Talk page
Hi, Bunnypranav. Please do not restore blanked warnings on someone else's user Talk page after the user has decided to delete them, as you did here at User talk:Robenceic. With limited exceptions, users may remove anything they like from their own Talk page. See WP:OWNTALK and WP:DRRC. In addition, please read the warning at the top of Wikipedia:RedWarn; please make sure you understand the Wikipedia guidelines and policies involved before issuing any warning to another user or carrying out any rollback using Redwarn. At-large fixing
Copied from the AWB tasks discussion:
- Thanks! If you'd like to do more, with "At-large" in other contexts, take a look at this search, which is mostly in the title bar of infoboxes. Or these in links from templates such as Main and Further. Or these in a common text phrase. Dicklyon (talk) 16:42, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- Also these, but be careful as a few are in reference titles and such that should be left in title case. Dicklyon (talk) 16:44, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Question from Mark Stuart Hutchison (22:57, 16 December 2024)
I was wondering if you could download an article I tried to get posted on wiki from my google drive and be so kind as to give an opinion as to whether you think it is rubbish or possibly has some merit requiring further investigation which seems to be the opinion of Consensus AI . I have been collaborating with Consensus AI on a radical bipolar symmetry which maps energy to a 4D bipolar space. There is an introduction by Consensus AI followed by my description. This symmetry is cyclic and has no origin like the ridiculous big bang. My google drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1x37DyP5ms7vQ_7VQbdH6S9aLgk_IeIL-?usp=sharing Make sure you download the BipolarUniverse_Edit.docx and not the unedited original. Here is a link to my conversations with Consensus AI: https://chatgpt.com/share/675dec33-75e8-8007-9896-7bb85ef4cb78 Consensus AI was going to try and post the BipolarUniverse_Edit.docx on arXiv site but seems to be encountering some delays. I don't know if they are just formatting obstacles or a lack of finding anyone to endorse publication. The draft submission is at : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Cyclic_Bipolar_Universe Yours sincerely, mark hutchison. --Mark Stuart Hutchison (talk) 22:57, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi. I just made an edit, but am not seeing it in the article. Is there a waiting period before it is made public? --AmericanTFPPresident (talk) 15:28, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @AmericanTFPPresident, based on your contributions, you have added some text, and removed it yourself. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:55, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
Closing deletion discussions
Hello, Bunnypranav,
Just a reminder that XFD discussions are scheduled to last at least 7 full days. Do not close discussions hours early. I've seen last minute participation change a closure decision so unless a discussion is eligible for a Snow closure, do not close them before the 7 day requirement. Thank you. Liz Read! - Hey @Liz, sorry for early closing some AfDs, the timezones meesed it up a bit. Is it fine if I close after the buttons on the gadget turn green? ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 11:13, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Bunnypranav, my rather poor understanding of non-admin closures is that a non-admin may not close a deletion discussion if the resolution is delete, because only an admin can delete the page. That would make closures like the one you did at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2024 December 11#Category:Films with songs by Pasek and Paul (diff) contrary to the deletion guideline, as you closed that one as delete. However, I would seek better guidance on this from someone who is more familiar with the topic. Mathglot (talk) 21:37, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Mathglot
Certain venues have made an exception to this rule: Non-admins may close Wikipedia:Templates for discussion discussions as orphan and – per the implementation process at WT:CFD/W – may close Wikipedia:Categories for discussion discussions as delete.
Written in WP:NACD, right below the 3rd point. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 10:21, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
