I did a little reading, and found that the "Criticism" section is inaccurate. While problems with the story, repetition, and controls were mentioned in reviews, they were usually considered minor, and the game was generally praised. I suggest that the section either be taken out or turned into a "Reaction" section with the proper positive/negative format. - Kalarchis05:21, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Transformers (game) redirects here. Since they're making the new Movie Game, maybe it's time Transformers (game) became a disambiguation page? I found this article looking for the the movie game information, I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few other people do too. The movie tie-in stuff is a "big deal" with a lot of attention right now. I have no idea how to do it, I'm not that fluent in wiki stuff... Theredcomet200003:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've made a start of one. I know there was also a game for the Spectrum, Commodore 64, and others released in the 1980s, and a Japanese-only PS2 game made, but I don't know if there are articles for them -- JediLofty User ¦ Talk08:28, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, I see that. Nice work. There's an article on Takara's Transformers game, it's the one called (2003) in the template at the bottom, although it seems "Transformers Tatakai" is the commonly used name for that product to distinguish it in the fandom? Regarding the C64/Spectrum game they're the same game just ports of each other, correct? I played the C64 game way back in the day and honestly it's not really notable (even for a primitive 80's computer game) to warrant an entire article, IMO. Maybe either a small blurb that it exists on the disambiguation page, or perhaps it would be better to expand the disambiguation page into an overview of Transformers games, with the more notable ones just getting a summary then a link to the main article and the non-notable ones just getting mentioned?
As far as this article is concerned, the "reaction" page lists "some critics" and then goes on to say that "fans" consider this the best TF game ever made. Not that I'm disagreeing with those points but I think we really need sources to show which fans, which critics, etc have made such claims. And of course we just had a slew of new games released, even if it was considered the best TF game ever, is it still? It's worded present-tense and may or may not be accurate. As per [WP:WEASEL], the "reaction" page to me reads more like what some particular fan thought or believes rather than being encyclopedic. I'm gonna go ahead and add some templates to that section so hopefully it can be improved upon. I'm also gonna try and Wikify some of the terms on the page for thoe unfamiliar with the subject matter (Unicron, G1, etc). Theredcomet200021:55, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
