Talk:Tim Hartnell
Date of return to Australia
[edit]I'd need to do some further investigation, but I believe the quoted date of return to Australia of 1984 is too early. Hartnell was still writing and editing books in the UK until well into 1985, and my recollection is that he didn't go back to Oz until at least 1986. Pixuk 18:02, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Tim moved back to Australia in 1984, but kept a flat in London and returned there several times a year. Tim ran Interface concurrently in London and Melbourne for several years. Tim registered the business name "Interface Publications" in Australia in 1983. Although the London and Melbourne operations had the same name, they were two separate businesses. The Australian version of Interface Publications still exists, though much changed now. I worked with Tim in 1984 at Interface Publications. He travelled frequently back to the UK but was based in Clayton, Victoria, in 1984 and he later moved to Chelsea, Victoria. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.167.188.113 (talk) 04:03, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
