- Project news
- As a result of multiple delistings of several film GA/FAs this month, our project's featured content (excluding images) fell below 100 (there are currently 75 FAs and 33 FLs). For GAs, our project currently has 278. This month, we're going to have an article improvement drive. Imagine the impact on the project with over 240 members each improving just one article! This month, consider improving an article to GA or FA status. You can start with a current B-class article, a prior GA/FA, or even start with a Stub or Start-class article. There are many available resources to help you in improving articles including: lists of sources, example articles, or helpful editors. There are thousands of articles under our scope, and this month, consider improving just one to a higher class. If you do improve an article starting this month, please list it here. The results of July's efforts will gauge the interest for a project-wide contest for future months.
- There is currently a discussion on whether or not to include inflation figures for box office and budget figures in film articles. Consider joining the discussion as this could impact the majority of our film articles.
- Our project currently has over 55,500 film-related articles, with 53,300 that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class.
- Are you looking to get involved with more areas of the project? Remember to keep an eye on the announcements page, which constantly updates current articles that need assistance or are attempting to be upgraded in class. There are a variety of task forces open for various genre and regional film topics. If working on backlogs interest you, there are multiple articles that you could use your help.
- Spotlight Update: This month, no articles reached GA and FA status. In addition, several were delisted. If you are interested in returning these articles to GA/FA status, visit the review page and address the issues raised by the reviewers.
