Redirect / Flagicon
[edit]Hi. Your edits such as this one are considered disruptive by a number of users. Changing a link from Everton F.C. to Everton FC is pointless when the article is located at Everton F.C. - anything else requires a redirect. Also, the issue of whether or not to use national flags in infoboxes is unresolved, but for certain readers, their use can mean that the clubs column becomes taller than the apps and years columns. Flag icons are bad in infoboxes
[edit]Flag icons can be formatted to work in Mozilla, or Internet Explorer, but not both at the same time. I suggest you take any grievances to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football, but first have a read through the talk archives - we have discussed this a few times before. Cheers, aLii 22:43, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think Alii has already explained the issue. Plus, as Kevin McE told you, it is not for anyone to try to dictate what browser we all use. Regards. —Lesfer (t/c/@) 22:48, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Here's some examples that show the problem; example1 and example2. example1 doesn't work in Firefox and example2 doesn't work in IE. Some further information about infobox formatting can be found at Template talk:Infobox Football biography. aLii 22:59, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, can I ask you where did you get this info from? (It could be useful for future plans; the original numbers were taken from official website, by the way) Also, can you help me fill the rest of the statistics? Thanks in advance, HaGamal 22:01, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Assistance with Catalan language sources
[edit]Hi. I am not that familiar with Catalan language newspapers and my reading comprehension is less not as good as it is with Spanish. Could you please assist me in identifying sources for Oriol Sellarès Martínez in Catalan newspapers and magazines? --LauraHale (talk) 17:25, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Catalan culture challenge
[edit]I've seen on your userpage that you speak Catalan: From March 16 to April 15 we will be organising the Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start and improve the greatest number of articles about 50 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). I've seen you edit about sports, there are some people on the list that where sports people, like Ramallets. We look forward to seeing you! Andreu Fontàs - Reply
[edit]Hi there ZIGURAT, AL from Portugal here,
yes, indeed it seems bizarre, but i have heard that players like him or Oier Olazábal received medals for that edition of the Champions League without playing a minute, like Gabriel Milito who was out injured. However, i have no reliable source for this, it was a fellow user "specialized" in FC Barcelona who told me this, and since neither him or me are reliable sources that we know of, we must remove this you are 100% correct.
Sorry if my summary seemed exaggerated, i have already removed the contents in honours. Happy editing (i am leaving forever at the end of the week after eight years, but feel free to ask me anytime during that timeframe).
--84.90.219.128 (talk) 21:56, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
Iniesta's Goals
[edit]On the official website of the Spanish national team, he appears with 12 goals (1). Also see this articles: List of Spain international footballers and es:Anexo:Futbolistas de la selección de fútbol de España SoulGooner (talk) 19:43, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
[edit]Technically Partick is correct, since it was not incorporated into Glasgow until about 1910 (nearly 40 years after the match). Jmorrison230582 (talk) 09:25, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Claudio Bravo (footballer), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Hey there, glad to see you support Barça instead of Espanyol :D and my opinion on Mourinho's work at United is a positive one, as a manager he is really experienced and he should know how to reign in England with the talent United has, unlike LVG who was also a wise coach but mostly focused on youth talents such as Rashford, Tuanzebe, Borthwick-Jackson, Januzaj, Fosu-Mensah and Goss who couldn't really get the right results at some times. Hi Zigurat, It's me again. I have come up with a new idea to remodel the aforementioned article, I have noticed the list of players looks kinda messy and I would like to fix that by adding a table and a flag icon to the club's autonomous community, sort of like this:
Player | Club(s) | Year |
---|---|---|
Manucho | Valladolid | 2009–2010 |
Rayo Vallecano | 2012–2016 | |
Quinzinho | Rayo Vallecano | 1999–2000 |
In case of a note, I would locate it next to the player's name. If you approve, disapprove or want to slightly change my idea, please let me know at my talk page, Best of wishes. TheSoccerBoy (talk) 03:30, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I saw your message. Thanks for the heads up! TheSoccerBoy (talk) 17:39, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]What's up man, it's me again, i am aware that the message in responding to is over 2 years old.... just wanted to update my opinion on Mourinho's job at United.... Dreadful, fatal, and frustrating!!!!! Literally the most boring football I've seen and the most disappointing Man United in recent years, Solskjær a hero without a doubt! Barcelona youth players
[edit]Hello. Sorry I undid your last addition to Jon Toral with the comment "no such category". At the time you added it, there was no such category, but I see you've created it since. It has for a long time been the case that youth players are included in the main club category and we don't have separate categories for youth players. I've raised the general question of separate youth player categories at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#Youth player club categories, to see if that's still a consensus view. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:21, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Beyond your nice template, a player who plays 3 EFL Cup games is not conducive to winning that trophy? Come on Matty, are you a robot?
