Alaska panhandle merger
Hey, we seem to have left the Alaska panhandle NRHP list-article merger discussion unfinished. By my reading, there was consensus for regrouping Alaska boroughs into state sections, but then we didn't implement it i guess, or it was undone. Could you please comment, if you have further info, at Talk:National Register of Historic Places listings in the Alaska Panhandle, otherwise i believe i or someone should implement the Alaska division into 5 sections, which was the consensus by my read. I also asked Reywas92 to check in. --doncram (talk) 01:03, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Carter Cutlery logo removal
Hello, could you please undelete the image File:CarterCutlery Logo.jpg ? It was used in an published article about bladesmith Murray Carter and is now used for the same article on my page, where the article is undergoing revision (User:RobVandeB/Murray_Carter). I will provide it with the Non-free logo and Non-free fair use rationale templates. Thanks in advance! --RobVandeB (talk) 02:06, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi there Nyttend, you postponed the deletion of File:JimWilliamsAuthor.jpg so an OTRS member can check the file. Any updates on that? — ξxplicit 23:47, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, nothing happened; I asked Cirt, but s/he never responded. I'm not going to delete it, but I won't complain if you do or if someone else does. Nyttend (talk) 00:33, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Stained Glass Copyrights
I had the opportunity over the weekend to look at a variety of stained glass -- six different studios including both Charles Connick and Louis Tiffany, all created between 1900 and 1960. None of them had copyright notices. The Tiffany glass carried a typeset signature "TIFFANY STUDIO" about 1/2" high. The others were all script scrawled with a sharp point about 1/4" high -- hard to see even up close and personal. So your assumption that copyright would prove irrelevant was correct.Jim - Jameslwoodward (talk • contribs) 14:20, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Is there a particular reason the talk page for Michael Scott Paper Company was deleted? — Hunter Kahn 02:23, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Deleting empty categories
I keep on seeing various categories of mine coming up for deletion or being deleted because they are "empty". Which is funny, because when they're created, they're usually not empty.
What safeguards are there against people removing articles from a category causing it to be deleted? --MacRusgail (talk) 15:38, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Case in point - Neil Bennett (rugby union) was in the category you deleted, but it was removed because of vandalism by an anonymous contributor.--MacRusgail (talk) 15:44, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
In reply - Neil Bennett was formerly in Category:Manx rugby union players, which someone took upon themselves to remove from the article in question. I have since had to recreate this category, since you deleted it.
This is not the first time this has happened. For example, someone took umbrage to the fact I had categorised Abba Ahimeir, and others under Category:Israeli Fascists. This was renamed to Category:Fascists of British Palestine (fair enough, given it was pre-independence), and then deleted as empty by User:Anthony Appleyard!!! This is in spite of the fact that the people in question openly took inspiration from Mussolini, and described themselves as Fascist. Maybe the past is an uncomfortable place for some people, but we shouldn't hide it.
Why is there no safeguard against this? --MacRusgail (talk) 16:14, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Log cabins
Your question from awhile ago has stayed in my mind - I'm no expert on log cabins, but his area is said to be the home of the American log cabin. See File:MortonsenCabin.JPG for old (1600s), well fitting joints (unusual), 3 part structure with a wavy roof. In part I was reminded by File:Schorn Log Cabin.JPG by the same builder. FA nomination help
I listed at at FAC and opposed too - agree it needs lots of work - thanks for the heads up. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 13:41, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- Glad to help. I always try to get all the objections out of the way at PR or GAN, then FAC goes smoothly (or at least that's the plan). If you ever want to try anything at FAC, I would be glad to review it before hand - just let me know. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 17:57, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- Some of the covered bridge articles I have gotten to FA are not a lot longer than the Maria Stein church article. I can usually tell if I am going to get something to FA - I get what I can only describe as obsessed with it. Usually I am able to find enough material on it, though in some cases I am still looking. I think it is like St. Paul and the different gifts - everyone contributes in their own way and it takes everyone to make the encyclopedia. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:31, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks and sorry to hear about your relative. I think I can get the Ricketts Mansion to GA at least and should try for a DYK too - will add a brief Location section with a bit on the county and lake and geology, and a Description section about the architecture / house itself (probably with one of the HABS floor plan drawings). Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks - it is still not done. I am glad you got pictures of Racoon Creek - I have not forgotten the Centre County photo requests, just have not gotten there yet. Also realize I am supposed to be working on Penns Cave - whoops. Will add it back to my list - sorry. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 21:26, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Please bring your concerns to the talk page, instead of just deleting. All needed references are there. 155.188.183.6 (talk) 15:36, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Please bring your deletions to the talk page FIRST, you are regularly deleting important, relevant sourced information. Please stop. These items are worth discussing, but your repeated deletions of highly relevant information are not constructive. You are applying a different standard to this page than the standard that applies to other city pages. 71.64.2.120 (talk) 11:59, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
McClelland Homestead
I commented at t:tdyk about your new McClelland Homestead article; you may want to respond there. Just changing out word "renowned" to something used in the NRHP nom (assuming that is not actually used there) would probably make it fly for me. Is there not an online version of the NRHP document available, too? I verified it is not in the NPS Focus system, but i never figured out all the way, how to get into the newer PA state documents site. --doncram (talk) 17:39, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- i followed up there, with a negative view about the hook, sorry, but with suggested possible direction to go. --doncram (talk) 00:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, i don't think that "renowned" or "known" by the public is at all supported in the NRHP document. There's no evidence that anyone besides some staff doing a very local survey know anything about this place. Is it even known, by the public, that the place exists, or is NRHP-listed? But I don't want to argue, and i certainly don't want to torpedoe the dyk. By my commenting at first i was trying to be helpful to move it along for you, but it seems unhelpful for me to comment there further. Could you possibly ask someone else to follow up? Or maybe the alternative hook you suggested will fly. I'll try to indicate there that i will bow out. Sorry i could not be more help. --doncram (talk) 00:55, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Hey, i see, and am glad, that a DYK went through for McClelland. Also nice job with Turpin Site. I have absolutely never tried for a DYK with an archeological site; it looks hard to do a nice article like u managed there.
Update: About the same-name-same-county ones, i am still accumulating those here, including adding a Knox Cty, Ohio pair today. The dab created for that pair of nearby, apparently similar homes, is, essentially, a placeholder in lieu of creating articles or just one combo article about the pair of them. The placeholder prevents someone from accidentally creating an article about just one of them, unaware of the other, and it has merit of not being a stub article. As more have been turning up as i progress through NRHP dab cleanups, i am inclined to finish the NRHP dab cleanup and then raise the formatting issue question(s) for central discussion. This note just to let u know i haven't forgotten, and also to say that I am not fixed on how these should be done, despite my proceeding with one way of doing them pending discussion. cheers, :) --doncram (talk) 20:38, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
DYK nomination of St. Louis' Catholic Church (North Star, Ohio)
Hello! Your submission of St. Louis' Catholic Church (North Star, Ohio) at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Storye book (talk) 18:32, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the note and for the comment on the picture; I just realised that I need to run, so I'll fix the problem later this evening. Nyttend (talk) 21:05, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- I've corrected the problem. The issue was that (1) I misread the source, and (2) I forgot to place the citation to ref name=inventory after the hook statement. I've added the source and corrected the text accordingly. As a matter of fact, the statement is true; if you're interested, look at the images in Land of the Cross-Tipped Churches and you'll see the difference between this church and the others. Construction Business Owner and Pumps and Systems deletion
Hi, I tried making pages for the magazines "Construction Business Onwer" and "Pumps and Systems". The "Construction Business Owner" page was deleted for being a "non notable low circulation trade magazine" and "Pumps" was deleted for the same reason. If I tried to make pages for these magazines again, how should I go about writing them to where they are suitable for Wikipedia? I based my pages from "BPA Worldwide" since it's in the same business field as "Construction" and "Pumps". Thanks. Pumpsconstruction (talk) 16:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Template:External link
{{External link}} was not a valid CSD G4 as it was not the same template which was deleted on November 29, 2008 as I created that metatemplate from scratch while working with others on a way to standardise our external link templates. Please restore this template. Thanks. --Tothwolf (talk) 04:22, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'll trust you on that, but you happened to create a template that's identical to the one that was already deleted. Regardless of whether the material was reposted or independently recreated just as it was before, it's subject to deletion under G4. Would you like to improve on it somehow? If so, I can restore it and give you the coding. Nyttend (talk) 04:26, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- There is no way it could be identical. I created it from scratch during this discussion. Reusing the same name as a past template does not make for a G4. --Tothwolf (talk) 04:31, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Have you looked at the original code? As far as I can see, it's essentially the same thing. Nyttend (talk) 04:48, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, I've never seen it. I created the current version from scratch during the discussion I linked to so I would think it would be impossible for them to be identical. (You can reply here, I much prefer to keep discussions in one place.) --Tothwolf (talk) 04:53, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Are you going to restore this template and the /doc subpage? This was clearly a bad G4 tagging as G4 does not apply to something that merely has the same page name as something that was previously deleted (which is something to take up with UnitedStatesian later). --Tothwolf (talk) 20:04, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, because it had the same content as the previously deleted page. Nyttend (talk) 21:20, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- If I may, maybe you're only looking at the previews of the template revisions, which look fairly similar. The template that was discussed in the TfD had the content
[{{{1|{{{External URL}}}}}} {{{2|External link}}}]
, and it was deleted since it was an extremely trivial markup wrapper. Tothwolf's template was a 2k monster with lots of options, judging by the doc page, to which the reasoning from the TfD does not apply.
No opinion on the usefulness of the new template, I haven't read the discussion that the led to the this new version. Amalthea 21:54, 10 April 2010 (UTC)- Thanks, I was getting ready to ask someone to send me a copy of the template that previously lived at {{External link}} as I was sure it couldn't be identical to the meta-template I wrote in November 2009. The meta-template is intended to eventually be used to help standardise the mess of external link templates we use such as those in Category:External link templates. I held off converting a handful of templates such as {{Official}}, {{Freshmeat}}, etc in November due to the other stuff I had going on at the time... --Tothwolf (talk) 00:19, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Nomin talst
It would be nice if you could mention your intention to speedily delete some entry on some Mongolian band on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Central Asia beforehand. WP Central Asia has the resources to address your justified concerns. We had the same thing some time ago with the eventually restored article on Lipstick (Mongolian band) that actually did have some claim to relevance of its topic written into it in the form that you deleted. Anyway, you should restore the article on Nomin talst into my sandbox, so that I can see what to do about it. And it would be greatly appreciated if you could begin proper deletion discussions and announce them on our project page for all articles within the scope of Wikiproject Central Asia. Hi there,
first thanks for the message.
second, im a little confused with the licences (see below)
Licence | To Share | To Remix | Attribution | Share Alike | Noncommercial |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Description | To copy/distribute/transmit | Change/edit | credit the owner | share under the same licence | may not use for profit/to make money |
CC-BY | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
CC-BY-CA | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |

how come work cant be licenced so that money / a profit cant be made?

North Georgetown, Ohio Regularly Scheduled Events section deletion
I respectful question why this section was deleted. Your explanation was that "Wikipedia isn't the community events calendar"
I contend that other cities and municipalities have similar sections in their Wikipedia pages.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbon,_Ohio#Culture
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbus_Ohio#Fairs_and_festivals
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dayton,_Ohio#Entertainment
Why, then, is it inappropriate content for the North Georgetown, Ohio page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Georgetown,_Ohio ?
I ask that you please reconsider this deletion. These events are non-commercial in nature and are part of the community's lifestyle.
With sincerity... Dcpyatt (talk) 02:48, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Barnesville, Ohio corporation limits
Do you know whether or not Barnesville High School is within the corporation limits of Barnesville, Ohio? Also, how about Olney Friends School? I'm not sure where the corporation limits are exactly, but I have Quaker relatives who live really close to that school and the old Quaker Meeting House. Both the High School and the Olney Friends School have Barnesville mailing addresses, though that might not necessarily mean they are within the village's corporation limits. Anyway, I was just wondering. Well, next time I'm there I'll look to see where the official village corporation limit sign is located in relation to these two places. Note I moved this here and restored the section on Talk:Zion Reformed United Church of Christ this had over-written above. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 15:40, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Dear Nyttend
- Could you please tell me why you have deleted the page 'Pity the Fool', I really need to get this done and surprisingly its harder to set up a band page than a page describing my left foot. Please assist, really dont know what to do anymore — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danielptf (talk • contribs) 13:56, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

David Littell House location
The David Littell House page says that it is in Hanover Township, but you said, "Official location is Hookstown". Is Hookstown in Hanover Township? It looks like Hookstown is in Greene Township (according to its Wikipedia page and this Beaver County Pennsylvania Township Map). The house is located at 2039 Frankfort Road (Pennsylvania Route 18) between Harshaville and a little place called Mechanicsburg. I got a picture of the mailbox in front of the house, and those were the numbers, and these are the coordinates:40°33′24″N 80°24′15″W / 40.556728°N 80.404119°W. The Harshaville page says that it is in Raccoon Township, and this Beaver County Pennsylvania Township Map seems to indicate that Mechanicsburg is in Raccoon Township also. If that is so, then that would seem to mean that the David Littell House is in Raccoon Township also, wouldn't it? Anyway, the house is about seven miles from Hookstown, so it seems odd to put that on the Wikipedia page when there's a closer community (Harshaville), and it seems the Beaver County NRHP list may also be incorrect if the house is really located in Raccoon Township rather than Hanover Township. Leepaxton (talk) 20:23, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- If those coordinates are correct, then it is definitely in Hanover Township (very near the boundary with Raccoon Township). Hookstown is probably just the nearest incorporated place. --Polaron | Talk 21:34, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, Hookstown may be the nearest borough, but the house is about 6.8 miles from Hookstown, and only 1.2 miles from Harshaville (according to Google Maps). The house is only 0.6 miles to Mechanicsburg, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, but that community doesn't have a Wikipedia page to link to (yet), so I thought to link to the closest community that had a page (Harshaville) so that other people might have an easier time finding it (if they are interested in going there and seeing the house from the road, since it is on the National Register of Historic Places). I guess that's why I want to be so specific, and I try to include the most accurate coordinates and information along with the pictures I take. Those coordinates should be correct, because it should put you right on top of the house when using satellite view on Google Maps. Leepaxton (talk) 22:00, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hookstown isn't the nearest incorporated place, since all Pennsylvania townships are incorporated. Nyttend (talk) 22:49, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- True but not everyone thinks that way, most notably the U.S. Census Bureau, and probably whoever wrote up the NRHP nomination. In any case, Hookstown is obviously not the best location to use. Why not just use the township? --Polaron | Talk 22:54, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hookstown isn't the nearest incorporated place, since all Pennsylvania townships are incorporated. Nyttend (talk) 22:49, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well, just using the township seems somewhat general, and using Hookstown doesn't seem accurate enough. Harshaville exists and has a Wikipedia page, but I think I should edit the Harshaville page to say that it's in Hanover Township instead of Raccoon Township, as the page currently claims, because the map seems to indicate it's in Hanover Township. Argh, I shouldn't have initially believed a Wikipedia page without checking things elsewhere, haha! That's what threw me off course to begin with. Well, do you guys both agree that Harshaville is indeed in Hanover Township? If so, I will edit the Harshaville page to list its correct township location. Leepaxton (talk) 23:32, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

re: Sackville House
No, I'm not familiar with it. You've piqued my interest in it though. Did you check out East Wheeling? Maybe you did all of this research already...but I checked, and the Olin Fine Arts Center is located at 285 E. Wheeling St. and the Alumni House is at 335 E. Wheeling St.. So, the Sackville House at 309 E. Wheeling would be somewhere between those two buildings. It just so happens that there is a very nice Victorian-style houses between those buildings. If you check googlemaps, it's the grey-roofed one at the intersection of East Lane and East Wheeling. I wonder if that's it. I'll see if I can take a walk down there to see if that's it. (I don't often go down that way, but I'll make a special trip). --GrapedApe (talk) 04:08, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- Too bad about Sackville House. (I guess that saves me from having to walk all the way down there ;)) Although, it's possible that the National Register has the incorrect house number or address. The register lists McMillan Hall (Washington & Jefferson College) as being located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. If the Sackville House was listed in the 1976, I am a little skeptical of whether it was really demolished for the Olin Arts Center, which was built in the late 70s/early 80s. (BTW, next time you're in town, make sure you check out Shorty's Lunch.)--GrapedApe (talk) 04:46, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well, that is very disappointing. I guess I had a case of wishful thinking. Too bad.--GrapedApe (talk) 05:10, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Nearest cities
Ruhrfisch and I agreed that the "nearest city" bit in the infobox is unnecessary and removed them from all the state park and forest articles. So many of the parks are so far from an "official city". Giving the township(s) and county of the park seems to be the best way to pinpoint the location of the park. --Dincher (talk) 15:15, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- No problem and thanks for noticing. --Dincher (talk) 15:17, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

2 Zooks, not 3
In Eastern Chester County, I'll delete the first Zook. It's all explained on p.12 at https://www.dot7.state.pa.us/pdfs/H001607_01H.pdf. Listed in 1976, moved 300 feet and automatically delisted, and relisted in 200?. Please check if this seems at all controversial (the renumbering will be easy!). Smallbones (talk) 01:00, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- OK, got it. Will do a semi-stub within 24 hours. Renumbering (3 divisons of Chester County) in the intro is slightly more than I hoped for. Smallbones (talk) 01:17, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
For notifying User:SEWilco regarding the MfD I suspect it is a waste of time, but worth ending over backwards to be polite. As an aside, there was a tremendous amount of work involved in those pages -it's interesting to see behind the scenes at the work some editors have contributed.SPhilbrickT 15:19, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
DYK for Odd Fellows' Cemetery Mound
On April 29, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Odd Fellows' Cemetery Mound, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

I'm not going to argue with the deletion logic anymore (frankly, the whole thing has been a bit confusing to me anyway, lol), but just to point something out: you said multiple people have contributed to the archive page, but in fact, I'm the only one. SandyGeorgia and Dabomb87's only contributions have been regarding the deletion, and Fasach Nua made one comment about a photo... — Hunter Kahn 04:36, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Need help - a user just made an accusation that I am a meatpuppet
I hope you are up. In this article, Talk:Coffee Party USA, a user I had a confrontation today with made an accusation against me that I am a meatpuppet. See this [2]. I use IE6, XP and am sure if Wikipedia is automatically logging me out or if it's the browser. In the case he cited, I was working on Norman McFarland in my userspace when it logged me out. This happens periodically. I will be editting, issuing a warning or lose my roll-back rights because the of the log-out issue with either IE6 or Wikipedia. user:MookieG did three reverts of a warning issued by another editor on a different user talkpage. MookieG decided to revert three times the warning and upon the third time I issued him a generic standarized 3RR warning. He is retaliating. --Morenooso (talk) 05:03, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Please see the last section I added on the Coffee talkpage. There is another great example of when I got logged out and was in the process of issuing a warning. When I saw that I had been logged out, I logged back and placed/signed my username. My fingers are shaking right now. I can't believe MookieG and another editor is taking him to task on MookieG's page because he too issued MookieG a 3RR warning.
- On my talkpage, another editor warned me about MookieG. It appears he is very petty, obstinate and uncivil. Heck, we can be a little uncivil at times but he combines all three to bring out reactions in other editors. Then he fails to see the wake of his actions and chides the advice he is given. --Morenooso (talk) 05:39, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- In this MookieGDIFF, he accused me of sockpuppetry because Wikipedia logged me out. As per my explanation above, Wikipedia logs me out sometimes in the middle of edits, warning posts or whatever. In that diff, MookieG traced my IP address (due to the system logging me out) to the McFarland article I still have in my userspace. I guess while I was working on that article, the system logged me out. Unfortunately for MookieG, my IP address edit history is not long. It also showed one warning post I remembered as per my posted diff to the Coffee USA talkpage:
- One minute I reverted an anon IP, the next the system logged me out and I issued the warning from my IP address not knowing that the system logged me out. But, when I saw the resulting post on the anon IP talkpage, I decided to do "the right thing" or being thorough to log back in and sign my name with tildes.
- The trouble with MookieG started because I noticed that he reverted three times a warning left on User talk:TruthfulPerson's talkpage. MookieG tried to claim that his three reverts, shown in this HistoryDIFF, were just one "revert of a disputed non-applicable warning". However, as you can see by the history, it logs his three actions at three different times as "reverted"..
- When I noticed MookieG on his talkpage that I had added him to the edit-warring report (THISdiff), he went ballistic on that page and also his talkpage. After a while, I realized that it was futile trying to calm him down and that I should let be WP:COOL.
- Sometime during the night the system logged me off and I did a revert on the Coffee USA article. In its talkpageDIFF is where he accused me of sockpuppetry. He said that while he was stewing, he traced my IP back to the McFarland article I worked on in my userspace. In block letters his edit summary crucified me. Unfortunately for MookieG, he didn't know that you knew something about me pushing that article out as my first Wikipedia article.
- Coincidently last night, I was working in my userspace (you can check my contribs) on some stuff I am doing as a result of seeing a post Jimbo Wales put on Bianca Jagger's talkpage.
- On my talkpage, I documented the conversation I am having on Ged UK who also is an admin. Since it was late at night when I decided to work on Bianca's article, I looked around for an admin I knew who I could discuss the citations I planned. See User_talk:Morenooso#Help_with_Bianca_Jagger_article. I've seen Ged UK around and figured that since Bianca has a UK connection, he would be a perfect critic. In essence after looking at my intended citations and gameplan, he said to proceed and gave me advice to discuss my posts on Jagger's talkpage which I did. I provided 14 citations for various awards she told Jimbo about that he posted to her talkpage. I guess when Jimbo posts, that's all the WP:RS you need - if you get my drift.
- Any way, I was at a save point when I decided to look at my Watchlist and saw MookieG's edit summary. Man, oh man, I was livid last night. How dare he retaliate like that! And then in another subsequent post, he asked for an apology. That's when I posted on both Ged UK and your talkpages.
- At the same time, another editor on Coffee USA took MookieG to task for WP:OUTING on MookieG's talkpage. See DayewalkerDIFF. As you can from MookieG's subsequent post, he took exception to that too.
- The sad thing is Dayewalker earlier gave generic 3RR warning advice to MookieG for more than three edits/reverts on the Coffee USA article. In this postedDIFF, Dayewalker notified him that MookieG was at the 3RR threshold with his actions. MookieG did not take that earlier advice well either as you can see.
- Ged UK erased the section on Coffee USA talkpage in this redactedDIFF. Then he gently posted on MookieG's talkpage that MookieG should have WP:AGF. I guess earlier today, MookieG retired his talkpage.
- Funny thing is, because you and Ged UK were not around right away as I thought you both might be, I saw Materialscientist, another admin I know. In this myDIFF, I asked him to review my posted section on the Coffee USA talkpage. If after his review, I asked him to block me if he thought I was a sockpuppet. Like you, I consider him a friend and figured that if I was going to get blocked, I'd rather have a friend do it.
- I guess he found he innocent per MaterialscientistDIFF. I was very relieved but decided to take the day off and get my mind in good frame before coming back tonight.
- I'd like to thank you for your concern and follow-up. As I've told other admins, I expect no quarter from them regardless if we consider each other friends. As an admin, you/they have a job to uphold. Still, it's nice to know good guys are on Wikipedia. --Morenooso (talk) 05:28, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
Charles Watson-Wentworth, 2nd Marquess of Rockingham
Hi. I just noticed you removed a {{db-move}} template from Charles Watson-Wentworth, 2nd Marquess of Rockingham.[3] Can you please clarify if you were objecting to the move, or just making a neutral observation that there was no evidence of consensus?
The background to the move is a little odd as the editor that moved the article promptly replaced it with a redirect on the grounds that, even though it was a sourced article on a British Prime Minister, the subject was "not notable".[4] The original move was against naming convention guidelines (specifically WP:NCBRITPEER) without any prior discussion. Road Wizard (talk) 20:38, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification.[5] A requested move discussion has now started at Talk:Charles Watson-Wentworth so I expect the situation will be resolved in a few days. Road Wizard (talk) 21:06, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
United Brethren Church (Aurora, Nebraska)
Thanks for catching my coding error in Commons:Category:United Brethren Church (Aurora, Nebraska). Just out of curiosity, how on earth did you spot it? I looked at the old version of the page, and there wasn't anything obviously the matter with it; the only consequence of my leaving out the second close-bracket was that the particular supercategory didn't show up on the list.
Glad you spotted the error and fixed it, and embarrassed to have made it.
--Ammodramus (talk) 22:54, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, wait. I looked at the old version again, and saw the extra line of text at the top. I'm still impressed by the fact that you noticed it.
- Congrat'ns on the three soon-to-be-completed counties. I've got a one-site county waiting to edit and upload, but that doesn't count any more, alas. Unfortunately, most of the Nebraska counties with enough sites for a stand-alone list have at least one address-restricted site.

Actually
The possessive of a Catholic Church is incorrect as it is informal and usually not the full legal name of the church either as recorded the worldwide church and/or where the nonprofit incorporation documents are filed. I know this because I recently dealt with the issue. Moved any lawns lately? My windows still need cleaning and the pants pressing. . . --Morenooso (talk) 01:26, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Didn't you mention on RFD's talkpage you were out doing lawns the other day? I know I've been in a haze today because of a bug but remember that conversation. --Morenooso (talk) 01:31, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Re: Torre Futura coming over from the Spanish wiki
Good evening lawn "mover" you. Listen, while looking at the AfD for today, I discovered Torre Futura. I wish I had looked at its AfD listing because the first Keep had references. Any who, the article has a Spanish wiki page that has info that could be moved over here. Could you help with that? Thanks in advance. BTW, since you asked, do you chop wood? --Morenooso (talk) 06:09, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll take a look at it later. I may try to find an appropriate infobox and just translate and move stuff over. I was kind of hoping the infobox would port over too. Infoboxes, navboxes and blockquotes are my achilles' heel. --Morenooso (talk) 12:42, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I am puzzled as to why this image failed Wikipedia:NFCC #1 as stated in your deletion log summary. A rationale had been provided for each article, and as Adge Cutler is dead, no replacement can be found. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 13:04, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

WYSIWYG editor for Wikipedia
Do you know if there is a WYSIWYG editor for Wikipedia? Sometimes when I look at a long article I get lost in the combination of words and references which obscure what I am looking for or at. Sometimes it might be nice to edit an article offline (as in building one) although that might be a feature vandals would love too. --Morenooso (talk) 13:13, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Will do. Dang, Wikipedia just logged me out again. I just lost credit for the Hugh T. Rinehart House edit. I stepped away for five minutes and *poof* I was logged out. I *hate* when that happens. --Morenooso (talk) 14:40, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- BTW, I'm mulling it over, digesting the article, looking for refs to improve it and will nominate. It may look like I'm doing nothing but slugs have been known to overtake me in races they have given me a headstart. --Morenooso (talk) 15:02, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Do you know why it is also called the Ron McCarty House as per OHPO listing? --Morenooso (talk) 15:08, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Where is the best place for this conversation? Here on your page or mine? Probably mine, huh? I get lost easy too. Bears in the woods have been known to find me. BTW, we had an edit conflict on the section. I was copyeditting; saw a message; tried to save and saw you used first names. I guess that works but I went with last as MOS seems to prefer that. We can stay on my page after this post if you will watch it. I might one or two more questions after I look at its Yhits. --Morenooso (talk) 15:22, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Think I am done. There weren't many Yhits on this article (I thought more because Yahoo (Yhits) brought two pages). Here is the wikilinked hook I'm thinking of:
- DYK, Hugh T. Rinehart House was built by a justice of the peace is listed on the National Register of Historic Places because it is a well-preserved period house? --Morenooso (talk) 17:42, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

- Lookee here. --Morenooso (talk) 21:44, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- Do you know if the house is privately owned as per the one talkpage citation I found? If so, I think that the hook should read:
- DYK that a private home, Hugh T. Rinehart House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places?
- Otherwise, do you have an architecture friend, who could look over the article, and change the hook? I think that the "ordinary pic" could help sell the "private home" aspect of the hook. --Morenooso (talk) 03:23, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

- Hope you know my "coloring" comments are not directed toward you or anyone in anger or any other ill perceived manner. Last week a friend, who I love, sat me down, gave me some crayons and kind of asked me to color quietly. It was a very sweet moment I wish I have on tape because I would have posted it on Wikicommons for all to hear and see. I am very one-tracked minded and she cut to the heart of my problem that day. As best I can, I want to help with your noms. You have been very supportive of me and helped me along greatly with my editting skills. Those skills are still not up to RFD's and yours however, which is why I would rather stay in my userspace to do edits to your articles. I don't want them unnecessarily junked up. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Luxor Sekhmet New Kingdom.JPG Ambox warning pn.svg
A tag has been placed on File:Luxor Sekhmet New Kingdom.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:20, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- All that was deleted was the Wikipedia page for this image. It's hosted on Commons, so it's not supposed to have a page here; accordingly, I've deleted it under speedy deletion criterion F2. Go to the image; you'll see that it still displays as if nothing had ever been done to it. Nyttend (talk) 04:25, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, I do not even understand why I was notified in the first place, since I did not upload the image, but am glad to know that it will be retained. ----83d40m (talk) 07:56, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
DYK nomination for St. John's Catholic Church (Delphos, Ohio)
Hi. I have assessed your DYK nomination of St. John's Catholic Church (Delphos, Ohio) and believe there is a problem with the hook. Please see the discussion at the DYK nomination for details. If you believe you have addressed this problem feel free to let me know on my talk page and I will revisit the nomination. - DustFormsWords (talk) 08:25, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Page two of this NRHPpdf uses the words, elaborate and outstanding, and citing the word as such. Recommend changing the word unique to one of those words and the applicable DYK. --Morenooso (talk) 14:07, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Why? This MPS form doesn't address St. John's in Delphos (don't confuse it with St. John's in Maria Stein or St. John's in Fryburg) directly, so it's not going to be helpful. Delphos is not within the Land of the Cross-Tipped Churches. Nyttend (talk) 14:10, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- The report on several pages and on that paragraph used the words, thematic grouping, which made me feel it applied. I will now go back to my corner and color quietly. --Morenooso (talk) 14:25, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- I have responded to your arguments at the DYK nomination. Short version: I don't agree and I'm still not approving it. You are welcome to seek a second opinion, as I may be wrong, and of course your editing is generally excellent (as is this particular article) so please don't take it personally! - DustFormsWords (talk) 22:03, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- I have approved your most recent alternate hook. Thank you for your perserverance and congratulations on a solid article. - DustFormsWords (talk) 03:27, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- The report on several pages and on that paragraph used the words, thematic grouping, which made me feel it applied. I will now go back to my corner and color quietly. --Morenooso (talk) 14:25, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Luigi Amaducci import from Italian Wikipedia
His article on the Italian wiki has a nice template. See [Luigi Amaducci]. Their archbishop template is much better than the American one that uses "enthroned" IMHO. Luigi Amaducci is RFD's latest article. --Morenooso (talk) 13:45, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Talk:Highway 102 (Dundas, Ontario)
Could you please restore the CSD tag? It's a talk page that was not moved with the article to talk:Cootes Drive and it only has wikiproject tags. Simple housecleaning, and pointless to make into a redirect. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 20:57, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm confused; why do we need to get rid of it? It's common practice to retain talk pages for moved articles, either in their original state as redirects; how is this one different? Not complaining; I just don't see the reason why this needs to be done this way. Nyttend (talk) 20:59, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- I was only aware of this being done when comments have been made that are worth keeping the edit history for, otherwise it's pointless since nobody is going to be bedazzled when Talk:Highway 102 (Dundas, Ontario) goes missing. But I digress, I suppose it causes no harm either way. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢

File talk:2004 US elections purple counties.png restore request
You recently speedy-deleted File talk:2004 US elections purple counties.png per WP:CSD#G8 (as the image itself has been moved to Commons). However, the file's description box directly mentions the discussion of the image on its talk page, and said discussion is not present on Commons (the discussion page there is a redlink). This would seem to me to fall under the explicit exception to G8: "talk pages for images that exist on Wikimedia Commons". As such, could you please restore the page? If it would be more appropriate there, feel free to transwiki the talk page in question to Commons to go with the image. Thanks. John Darrow (talk) 10:16, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of File talk:Gstw.jpg
Hi there Nyttend, I see you deleted File talk:Gstw.jpg. I'm here asking you to restore the talk page and revert the speedy deletion request made by Burpelson AFB (talk · contribs) thereafter, as the talk page consists of an archived discussion regarding the suitability of the file that was obviously deleted. Thomas John McDonnell
Would you mind nominating Thomas John McDonnell for RFD? I put a hook on his talkpage. I gotta run. --Morenooso (talk) 15:24, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- I placed a non-free image file into his article. I believe the DYK hook should be:
- DYK, Thomas John McDonnell said a Pontifical High Mass for 3,000 people that was covered in the NY Times sport section?
- The reference for the sports section comes directly from the URL link which shows it appeared in that section. I tried to make it easy in defining the reference by including the words, sport section, that appears in the References section. I don't know it should be in the body of the article. What do you think? I think I got the non-free image rationale right. --Morenooso (talk) 22:40, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

The Ready Set AfD
I checked the AfD discussion and it seemed that three people thought it passed the first point of WP:MUSICBIO. It obviously doesn't or else those articles would have been referenced in the Wikipedia article. All that is linked is mostly trivial coverage or posts by him and his record company. I want to open up a deletion discussion again. --Russ is the sex (talk) 07:28, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I've noticed this site and it is very, very tempting. You may have noticed that I've had some down time, but that is pretty much over. The dinosaur site is within easy driving distance, and the problem has been only psychological: it's in metro NJ. I've gotten used to driving in Metro Pennsylvania, and in rural NJ, but those folks in Metro NJ drive crazy. So in short, expect the photo within 10 days. thanks for asking. Hello, I saw you removed my request for deletion on this image (the license plate). Image deletion review
The image File:Avey, Denis.jpg was deleted from the article Denis Avey. However, the rationale noted that it was a screen shot and was allowed per fair use for screen shots when they are used in conjunction with critical commentary about the TV show it came from. After that fact was added to the discussion with the original tagger, there was no response, so I assumed they were in agreement that it was OK. Can you check on this? Thanks. --Wikiwatcher1 (talk) 01:23, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Found a few dinosaurs there.
but unfortunately, no bones. This really was the only thing that really jumped out at the site. Mostly it looked like the neighborhood ravines that I played in as a kid. I did discover what is meant by a "Marl pit" - heavy wet clay. There might be some disagreement about including toys in a photo of the site... but I think they fit. At National Register of Historic Places listings in Camden County, New Jersey I'll use something a bit less over the top. At NHLs in NJ.perhaps a nature photo from the bottom of the pit. Advice would be welcome. Smallbones (talk) 20:03, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- Advice was good. I'll probably upload another photo from the bottom of the pit to Commons - 2 were "tied" in my estimation. But there is something about the toy dinosaurs at the site that really grabbed me. BTW, in the article, I think 1984 s/b 1934 (for the Boy Scout). If you can get pretty good info on the location of Abbott Farm Historic District near Trenton, I could probably find that, which would pretty much finish off the NHLs in NJ. Smallbones (talk) 22:41, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- 's/b" = "should be," but I was wrong, it's 1984. The Abbott Farm info should get me started - it looks fairly accessible - give me a week and some good weather. Thanks. Smallbones (talk) 04:25, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Misnamed disambiguation page
Hi, Nyttend. On this edit, you said that "this is simply a misnamed disambiguation page". I don't think that's the case, but if so, what would the correct name for it be? -- JHunterJ (talk) 20:59, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- co-locating from User talk:JHunterJ
- I'd say that the best title would be simply "RBE". The db-disambig is meant for situations where you have page "X" and page "X (disambiguation)". Nyttend (talk) 21:45, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- After I left this comment, I saw that you'd prodded it — overall, that's probably the best choice, since a disambiguation page with only one link really isn't helpful. Nyttend (talk) 21:46, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- We have page "X" and page "X (disambiguation)" now: RBE is a redirect to the primary (only) topic, and RBE (disambiguation) is a navigational page that serves no navigational purpose, which is why {{db-disambig}} applies: an orphaned disambiguation page which disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic). Prod is only a good second choice; speedying disambiguation pages that really aren't helpful is a better choice. Or, are you thinking of {{db-move}}? -- JHunterJ (talk) 22:00, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- If there were articles on both topics, I'd move the disambiguation page over the redirect. That's what I mean about it having the wrong name. Nyttend (talk) 22:11, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- Right, if it had two ambiguous articles to disambiguate and one of them wasn't primary (or if it had more than two articles to disambiguate), then it would have had a navigational purpose. Since it didn't, it was speedyable. -- JHunterJ (talk) 22:15, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Regarding CSD A7 on Nutrition for Learning
The Nutrition for Learning is a charitable organization, not a school, as is stated in the article: "Nutrtition for Learning is a registered charitable organization located in Kitchener, Ontario Canada. Nutrition for Learning became a registered charitable organization in 1997 and continues to support student nutrition programs in schools..." It's only sources (and as indicated in the talk page, the only sources I could find) are the webpage's own official page, and a non-profit registration with the Canadian government. Sources I found include twitter and facebook pages, and similar profiles created by the charity itself. That being said, if it still doesn't qualify under CSD, that's fine, just wanted to make sure. ialsoagree (talk) 06:44, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Peter C Mann
I've put the bio tag back. He's not an Olympic official, but an 'advisor'. And a search for '"Peter C Mann" -md -california -nutrition olympic' gives 6 hits - none of which appear relevant. This is a vanity page, in my opinion. (Taking -md out gives 10. No better. The -md was to remove a Dr Peter C Mann from the search.) Peridon (talk) 08:33, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Reasons for actions on deletion of files
Hi, I noticed that you reverted all of my deletion nominations on May 10. Please explain why in more detail. I am fully aware that this is not Wiki-Commons and also know that some files are uploaded directrly to En:Wikipedia instead of just being reflected here from Wiki-Commons itself. All of these deletions were not violating any rights they were merely being done because they were all nonsense images of colonial empires when maps are available that are accurate such as File:The British Empire.png and File:Spanish Empire Anachronous 0.PNG among others. Furthermore, none of those images were being used anywhere and were mostly, if not all, tests back in the day before the master images mentioned previously were created and uploaded and hense have no longer any value of any kind. Regards, Vadac (talk) 00:34, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your explanation. Would you please do the deletions the way you recomend as every time I try to do them here it always screws up in numerable ways. I partly listed those items for speedy deletions so that administrators would actually see them and something could be done about them because the system is very confusing for me and the last time I tried to do a deletion request here it didn't connect to the log at all and made some sort of box apear on June 13 last years??? I think it would be best for you to do the deletion nominations on those images and then you just tell me where to 'agree' on them. Thanks, Vadac (talk) 15:22, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

- I've been working on two cites that really play into his character or what he tried to do as a bishop. Reading his Sources section URLs, you will see that he helped grow the Sacramento diocese. He had several important interactions with Hispanics and the first will be positive with the second showing how that community may have not trusted him or the hierarchy. ----moreno oso (talk) 17:15, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Here's what I have but it probably can not be used because the paper did not have that info. See LastDIFF. The diocese kept part of the former seminary and made a concession to the committee but that's not recorded anywhere I know of. ----moreno oso (talk) 19:57, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Can you please explain why you deleted this article without dicussing it fairly to start with? I alreadty stated my arguements and without responding you deleted it in a matter of hours from when it was created. I don't think it's fair to do this, especially saying it does not state significance. Surely by reading the article you get some idea. Cexycy (talk) 18:52, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi
This is just a quick message to say that I've had to undo your edit here. I think you were maybe meaning that it has been declined for deletion, however if you click on the image you will see that the same person has just nominated it for deletion again? Just thought I'd explain why I've reverted the edit :) --5 albert square (talk) 04:13, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi again, sorry I just got told off for not assuming good faith when leaving the above message and when I reverted your edit on Ringo Brown. I can assure you I did assume good faith which is why I said so in the edit summary - sorry for any offence caused --5 albert square (talk) 04:40, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the messages on my talk page :). I'm going to check before I do this, is it ok to notify the person who uploaded the image that it's up for deletion? I think they were made aware of the previous deletion but as there's now no deletion template above Ringo Brown's head then they may not be aware of this particular attempt? I certainly can't see anything on their talk page to state that they've been made aware. All I was going to do is post something like "this is to let you know that the image you uploaded, Samclarke.jpg has been nominated for deletion, you can find full details of the nomination here". I'm asking because I really don't want a third warning template on my page, got enough of a fright seeing those two! :) --5 albert square (talk) 05:09, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Your assessment is not correct. When you removed the speedy you wrote Enough sources are present that this really shouldn't be deleted without an AFD. WP:BAND clearly stipulates the criteria for articles and this article, which has been deleted before, does not meet the criteria. I'll move it to a prod, but it should be a speedy based solely on lack of criteria, regardless of sources. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:45, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but you're mistaken. WP:BAND is very clear. The subject does not meet the criteria, The number of sources has nothing to do with the subject meeting or not meeting the critieria. Show mere where it says: article as multiple sources. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:51, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) may be notable if it meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician or ensemble itself and reliable.[note 1]
- This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media, and television documentaries[note 2] except for the following:
- Any reprints of press releases, other publications where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves, and all advertising that mentions the musician or ensemble, including manufacturers' advertising.[note 3]
- Works comprising merely trivial coverage, such as articles that simply report performance dates, release information or track listings, or the publications of contact and booking details in directories.
- Articles in a school or university newspaper (or similar) would generally be considered trivial but should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media, and television documentaries[note 2] except for the following:
- Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart.
- Has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one country.
- Has received non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.[note 4]
- Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).
- Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles.
- Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.
- Has won or been nominated for a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award.
- Has won or placed in a major music competition.
- Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g. a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album, etc. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that article.)
- Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network.
- Has been the subject of a half-hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network.
Note that members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases. Members of two notable bands are generally notable enough for their own article.

The city of Detroit document is here (the city recently reconfigured their website URL to www.detroitmi.gov). As far as I know, the house is individually designated by the city as a historic property (rather than as part of a district). Why did you delete the move template with the comment "We don't move redirects; we simply change their targets"? I'm not moving a redirect. I'm moving North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Aggies to North Carolina A&T Aggies, because the latter page is the more correct name, but is a redirect in the way. You have a knack for solving this type of problems. There seems to have been some misleading and old information placed in the Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania article that lead me to make some apparently incorrect rollbacks on changes made by User:Damuck57. Sort of...it's actually a bit from an opera:
Roughly: "In the name of God, in this 1299th year since Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us salvation, the first day of September, tenth indiction, this notary Amantio di Nicolao, of the city of Florence, writes the voluntary last will and testament of Buoso Donati..."
I picked it mainly because it's the lion's share of Ser Amantio's part. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa.
- It is indeed. My third-favorite, behind Falstaff and The Marriage of Figaro. Ever have a chance to see the Jack O'Brien production the Met mounted a couple of seasons back? - Better than a seventh sense, no? Anyhow, I'm AWBing talkpages and going to bed. The question is...what are you doing?
- Schicchi is loads of fun. And for some reason I've always loved the name "Ser Amantio di Nicolao", so when I decided on a username change that's what I went with. His may not be the biggest role in the piece, but every opera needs its supporting cast, no? :-) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:56, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

WYSWYG editor exists - User:Cacycle/wikEd
Haven't see you around, you must be at a Photofest taking pix again. I found a WYSWYG editor exists within Wikipedia. I recently switched to Firefox Portable because the new Wikipedia change was very slow in loading under IE8. While enabling Twain under the Gadgets tab of My Preferences, I saw a box for wikEd. I have been using it the last two days and it takes a bit to get used to. It puts some big blocks on any page you are editting (which is a minor headache IMHO) but it highlights text, citations, etc. You almost have to see it to believe it. I shrunk my edit box down to about 15 rows to keep everything on screen but that is also a minor pill if you ask me in terms of what you get. It seem to be a lot of bang for the buck. The only thing I don't like is that it offsets the edit box so I can't see the top of my screen where the Twain buttons are. Those buttons are handy for the welcoming function which I do alot of these days - next to looking for my "next great article I can recommend for a DYK". Man, oh man looking for articles is a blast. I float down the page looking for notable ones I can help promote. Thanks again for starting down this road. I am going to really put the wikEd to the test today as I am working on "next great new article" - User:Morenooso/Juan José Carbó workspace. I just saw another bug that happen on NawlinWiki's talkpage. If I grab something to paste into a talkpage like I just did with User:Morenooso/Juan José Carbó workspace, the markup is putting in huge letters. But if this thing works like a WYSIWYG editor, I will put up with minor stuff as I am building Carbó's article differently. I have all the citations offline in a Word doc. I wrote the article in a plain fashion and now am going back to do the citations. In the past as I mentioned to you, see black on black text with huge citation blockcites really wore out my eyes. I like my new method of typing plain text in the workspace article and building the ref offline because then I have it backed up. Firefox has a flaw or two too but it seems to be better than IE8. Firefox, however, sometimes times out too easily and I have lost data in the same manner as IE8. Well, I should be off as I need breakfast and then will commence work on Carbó's article. See ya! --moreno oso (talk) 14:41, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Userspace file
User talk:Morenooso/Precous Blood workspace is my possible additions for Precious Blood. The article is pretty tight. However, it would be difficult to rate above a C. I believe it needs at two to three copyedits and some more online citations. I was tempted to be WP:BOLD and rate B/Low but that might a little generous. It's C+/B- IMHO. ----moreno oso (talk) 09:51, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
User:Morenooso/Juan José Carbó workspace
Would you mind looking at this userspace file I am working on (User:Morenooso/Juan José Carbó workspace)? When I get home tonight, I want to finish off the citations from the Word doc I have offline. Then maybe on Monday you can do the DYK nom for it and perhaps think of some good hooks. It won't be much more than a Start class article unless the YtrikC_search bubbles up newspaper items on him. Mexico is pretty notorious for not being WP:RS if you know what I mean. BTW, one of my buddies at the dinner gave me the same opinion as my mechanic. He thinks the head is warped because he had a Toyota pickup do the same thing mine is doing. He recommended taking it Monday as he said I probably have like three or four more good drives out of it before it konks out. Going to be about a $650 bill. Just what I needed. This has really beat me down as prior to getting the minor treatment, I was hoofing by foot to take the bus places because I knew I didn't want to drive my truck too much until I got my mid-month direct allocation. Now, my first of the month allocation is shot. Two weeks, I didn't play my lotto numbers. First four out of the shoot were mine. That would been $500. My luck lately has been the pits. Ana Maria Canseco's PSA just ran as I am finishing this. She spoke in Spanish and mentioned that since becoming a citizen, she now is a participating American society member and encouraged Hispanics to get naturalized. ----moreno oso (talk) 13:55, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the copyedits. BTW, Deaths_in_2010 has his death date listed incorrectly. Someone used the newspaper/website date as the day. This translated Google translation shows the correct date as the 15th as per my proposed article. ----moreno oso (talk) 14:21, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
WikiProject tagging and Talk pages
Hey, i came across Talkpage-less Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Botkins, Ohio) and went to create a Talk page to add WikiProject NRHP tag and others. It shows you recently deleted the Talk page, though, which gave me pause. How come? I didn't create that one, which would be Talk:Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Botkins, Ohio). I think i have noticed you breaking out NRHP list-articles and not creating Talk pages for them, too, and wonder if that is accident or related. IMO, the WikiProject tagging is helpful and an important part of developing wikipedia; this has been driven home for me recently dealing with unreferenced BLP articles as part of wp:URBLP, where a recent focus has been upon attaching Wikiprojects to otherwise orphaned articles. Again I have no idea really what are your views, though, am just wondering what is up. Regards, --doncram (talk) 16:33, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Got ur note, in which you mentioned "the only edit was a Wildbot notice about a link to a disambiguation page. Upon seeing the note, I fixed the link and deleted the page; if I'd not deleted it, the bot would have noticed the fix and requested a G7 speedy, so there was no damage done by an early deletion." I'm not positive this is the same as what you've encountered, but i've been noticing Wildbot coming around to new pages or just-edited pages to add notice about ambiguous links. If you fix the ambiguous link, Wildbot comes back and just removes the notice. Or if u fix the ambiguous link and delete the Wildbot notice, then Wildbot doesn't come back. Not sure what happens if u just delete the Wildbot notice. Or if there was no Talk page to start with, i see. Then anyhow i would just add the wikiproject tags. About revising tags between Stub to Start, i do that whenever necessary for a DYK nom, but not really otherwise. For adding tags to articles i either use Stub or List if that is obvious, otherwise leaving rating blank. I am totally unclear on Start vs. C vs. other, so could not really help with those ones you're interested in having reviewed. Perhaps you could just delete the current ratings, and that would call attention of others. I believe Smallbones and/or some others are keeping the category of unrated NRHP articles close to zero. --doncram (talk) 01:32, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for followup. Then what happens if u just delete the Wildbot's first notice, and edit the Talk page to exist including appropriate Wikiproject tags. Or if Wildbot has added its new deletion proposal notice, do the same. I would surely hope that Wildbot would not come back. The Talk page needs to be created anyhow, and wikiproject tags added, so i would try that. --doncram (talk) 02:03, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- At Anna Town Hall, i was just trying by my edit there which did nothing to see if "what links here" from Shelby House would update. It did. Other Shelby County template places still show as linking to Shelby House, despite the template having been updated. I guess until they are edited, or i don't know what else. I was just trying to clear the links to the dab page, in part as it showed up in The Daily Disambig. Do you ever follow the Daily Disambig? It tends to be linking to new dab pages i have been working on, is a reminder to me to keep working on clearing dablinks. --doncram (talk) 03:15, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm looking for history on Adena Court Apartments in Zanesville, Ohio. I seen that you were the one that put the picture on the Wiki page, do you have any information on this apartment building? Census images
Can you come to my talk page, all the census images and New York Times public domain images are being renominated for deletion, this time the deleter is claiming the source statement is inadequate. I am not sure if he is demanding some sort of url to a website or is demanding that the source statement be formatted a particular way, maybe you can help sort things out. Links to the NYT archive exist but I think the name of the paper and the date suffice because links always change over the years. The NYT Times archive used to be hosted by Proquest and all those links are now dead. Each image already has the New York Times stamped on it as well as the date in text and on the images themselves. The images are used in the reference section for each biography with |url=media:xxxx . --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 07:34, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

You stated that this isn't a valid reason for a deletion. Since when is G3 not a valid reason? I didn't just want to use {{db-g3}} because it may not have been clear. So you declined the speedy deletion because the article is "totally different from the AFD version", something I can't verify, yet it has not a single source to establish notability. Since it has been under AfD I can't prod it. Would you care to create an AfD for it as it's pretty clear it should be deleted again?--137.122.49.102 (talk) 14:15, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

It appears that cited material to Stanley Joseph Ott was deleted by its creator. I hope I did not offend Tajm by what was added. However, it was cited by several sources and I had intended to expand the article tonight when I am done waiting for my truck to be examined. I am at a quandry as to what to do. I left a message on Tajm's talkpage asking why he deleted cited material. What do you think? The cited material was the crux of the DYK nom that appears on his and my talkpages. Peterson Blockhouse
Long story, that one. It was removed from Peterson in the 19th c. and converted to a stable on a farm, where it was overtaken by a barn. When the barn was demolished, they found the bottom storey of the blockhouse still intact. It was disassembled and put back in downtown Peterson, the second story was added and a new roof put on. Not in exactly the right spot, but reasonably close. Bill Whittaker (talk) 12:48, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Webster County Courthouse (Nebraska)
Thanks for the comment. I found the discrepancy as I was uploading my pictures: I generally check both the NRIS site, via the Elkman tool, and the Nebraska State Historical Society website, when I'm writing my descriptions. The latter gave 1914 as the date. Searched further, and found 1914 given on this USDA website (is that where you obtained the Calvin Beale image?); and, in the notes for an edition of One Of Ours, the statement: "In 1914-15 the frame courthouse that had served Red Cloud and Webster County since 1878 was torn down and replaced by a new three-story cream-and-brown brick structure".
Unfortunately, I didn't find an inscribed cornerstone on the actual building, and I was there on Memorial Day, so I couldn't look for a plaque inside. Also unfortunately, the NSHS hasn't put most of the Webster County nom forms online yet. I will write the person in charge of these things at NSHS and ask her to send me a copy; she's done so several times in the past. Pending that, I suspect that your hypothesis of an older contributing structure is the correct one.
--Ammodramus (talk) 15:20, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Your hypothesis re. a contributing building was correct—but there's also an apparent error involved. I got a copy of the nom form from the NSHS, and there are two years in the significant-dates column: 1887, the year of construction of the jail and jailer's quarters; and 1914, the year of the courthouse's construction. Looking through the form, I don't see any mention of 1883; I suspect that the date was entered incorrectly into the NRIS.
- Thanks for your suggestion that I contact nr_reference. I was preparing to do so when I discovered a complication.
- As I mentioned, the nom form lists two significant dates: 1914 and 1887. A closer look revealed that the latter date was in a different font than the rest of the form: probably, from a different typewriter. That leads me to wonder whether the form was originally filled out and submitted with the date 1883, which was then whited out and corrected on the NSHS's copy. Unfortunately, I don't know whether the NSHS submitted the change to the NPS; so the NRIS date may agree with the form that the NPS has on file.
- Given all this uncertainty, I won't contact nr_reference until the NSHS has posted the form online. However, I'll note it in WP:NRIS info issues.
- The Nebraska State Historical Society is making excellent progress putting nom forms online, but the work isn't yet complete, and most of Webster County isn't up yet. I made a contact at NSHS a while back, and she's told me that she'll e-mail me PDF's of nom forms from time to time, so long as I keep my requests at a reasonable level. That's how I got the one for the Webster County Courthouse. I'm hoping that they'll post the forms for the county soon, since there's a hatful of HD's in Red Cloud, and I need the forms to help me label the pictures I've taken there (and to find out what buildings I still need to photograph).
- Congrat'ns on Champaign County. Sympathize with you re. Carl Potter Mound. In Webster County, I investigated Guide Rock, a landform sacred to the Pawnee that gave its name to the nearby town, and that I'm thinking of using to illustrate Pike-Pawnee Village Site. Had there not been a sign, I'd have dismissed it as a moderately steep hill and nothing more. Of course, I lived in southern Arizona for some years, so have pretty high expectations for sacred mountains.
- Have just scrawled a note on my list of NRHP sites for Nuckolls County, and with luck will get there before too many months have elapsed. I see that there's a HD in Superior, one of whose boundaries is 5th; so the church might be in or near it.
Thnx :D

Casino article deleted
I'm a brand new user who is trying to figure out how to get started. I work for the Oklahoma Tourism Department and I'm trying to help bolster the information available about our cities and tourist attractions. I discovered a category of state parks the other day and was able to help add information about most of the parks listed. That led me to discovering a list of casinos in Oklahoma. The list is incomplete and of the long list that is shown, only three of the casinos linked to articles. I noticed that Winstar Casino (the 3rd largest casino in North America) was on the list but didn't have an article. I also noticed that the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was missing. So I decided this was a list that could use help and tried to help. I clicked on the first red link - Cherokee Casino (Roland) - and did my best to create an article using the Article Wizard. I included the number of slot machines, the square footage and other factual information. I cited http://www.travelok.com as a reference and added the retrieval date of today. Travelok.com is the official travel and tourism website of the State of Oklahoma. Within a few hours, it was marked for deletion because it was not considered notable. You deleted it before I could even find the message that it had been marked for deletion. I've read the links that I can find about notable businesses and I don't understand why this wouldn't qualify. I want to help provide additional information about Oklahoma's casinos and get the missing ones listed, but I don't want to waste my time. If things are shown in a list or category, are they notable enough to have an article? Would the casinos of Oklahoma be notable enough? Jkalkman (talk) 02:23, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Spero News
Hello Nyttend. You tagged for speedy deletion a new page I had just started on the website "Spero News". I ask that you undo this. Spero News is a website which turns up fairly high on Google searches for certain news items. Spero News does not divulge anything about its editorial policy or indeed its editorial board. I created the page as a stub, hoping that other wikipedia users would find out more about this organization and fill in the profile. The relevance of such an article doesn't need defending in my opinion. Spero News is a news outlet. If you do a couple of Google searches on it, you will find it used by sites such as Answers.com. The public needs to know who owns this site and what its editorial policies are.
I note from your user page that you consider yourself a conservative Christian. I therefore can't help but wonder whether your speedy deletion of this page was politically motivated.
Wwallacee (talk) 08:41, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Nyttend, in reply to your comments on my User talk page: the article was a stub. The whole point of a stub is to give other users a chance to contribute to it before it gets summarily trashed. The fact that you have edited articles on Catholic subjects before has no relevance here. The fact is that Spero News is a conservative Christian news site which does not identify itself as such, and the existence of a Wikipedia article about it would provide valuable context to any reader of theirs, thereby contributing to a more informed public. The fact that Spero News is a news source and that it ranks high in Google searches constitutes evidence that it is a noteworthy phenomenon. Please therefore undelete the article.Wwallacee (talk) 18:41, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
OK, I will see if I can find out more on my own. What kind of criteria would you want met to satisfy you that this is in fact a relevant entity? The New York Times includes Spero News in its "blogrunner" service, which means that Spero News content is actually posted on the New York Times website under a column entitled "Headlines Around the Web". Answer.com also uses Spero News content.Wwallacee (talk) 07:54, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
If you do a Wikipedia search for "Spero News", now that you have deleted the article from the main space, you'll see that dozens of Wikipedia pages cite Spero News in their references.Wwallacee (talk) 08:04, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I have updated the page on the User:Wwallacee space - here - adding more detail on who Spero News is, gleaned from the very few sources available. As to its relevance, I added a mention of its presence on the NY Times and Wall Street Journal websites.Wwallacee (talk) 09:13, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Please explain to me how a free equivalent picture for a promo picture can be provided for a car, which has never been displayed in public. Hektor (talk) 12:38, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- a) I guess it's the same in the US as in Europe, there are multiple generations of cars with the same name, you wouldn't illustrate the 2010 Camry with a picture of the 2005 Camry, or the Golf V with the Golf IV. File:2005–2008 Citroën C4 hatchback.jpg is not a reasonable replacement. The 2005 C4 has few elements in common with the 2011 C4, save the name. b) I think I have quite clearly written that the car has been presented, this means that pictures have been distributed to the press, but it has not been shown publicly. Saxbe building
It is certainly acceptable to add an image of a building to a bio article about a person and it could be acceptable to add it to the town's article as well. Use common sense. If it is an important building in town add it to the town. Very likely it should be added to his bio and some text about it should be added as well if you can find a mention in a WP:RS. If it is a National Register of Historic Places listing or a local landmark, make sure to add some text. Upload the photo to commons.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:49, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- The photo may also be useful at National Register of Historic Places listings in Champaign County, Ohio and National Register of Historic Places listings in Ohio and the building may have its own article that could use more good photos.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:20, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- Mechanicsburg, Ohio could sure use a photo of a NRHP listing.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:24, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for reviewing this article for WP:CSD and removing the tags. The article has been deleted before under CSD and I just restored the tags when the original author removed them. My thought was, given the article's history, it ought to have a review by an admin to decide the issue. - Ahunt (talk) 22:17, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
Proposed deletion
I proposed that someone delete this page that I created, but you denied, saying that people had "left messages for me." The same exact archive can be found here, which is why I wanted to delete the other one. Just thought I'd let you know. I think the first link mentioned should be deleted, because the second link mentioned is the same thing. The first link was my first attempt at making a talk page archive. I meant to make a sub page for my talk page, not my user page. I made the sub page for my talk page (see the second link), and now I want my messed-up user sub page talk archive deleted. Empryzia
You asked why Empryzia is a hoax. Have you tried googling the word, or any of the terms used in the article? I've restored the speedy tag on the basis that you made a mistake by removing it. If you're sure it's not a hoax please remove the tag and I'll prod it. andy (talk) 16:58, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but this is such a perverse point of view, and since you're an admin, I've raised it at WP:3O. I can't for the life of me see why anyone could think this might be a sensible article. Nothing personal. andy (talk) 22:20, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've just tagged Kickassia as a hoax. The article states that "The Republic of Kickassia is a usurpermicronation founded by Doug Walker and headquartered near Dayton, Nevada". Sounds reasonable - I know that odd things happen in Nevada so it's quite possible, but on balance I felt that nonsense words like Kickassia and usurpermicronation pointed to a hoax. I just don't understand the difference between this and "Empryzia is a medical condition in which the ailant has a certain blood condition, being Ousdahlnine, which is where the blood flows too swiftly". andy (talk) 22:40, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi, you deleted this image a few days ago as an unused non-free file. It had previously been used in The Hills article, and the image that replaced it has been deleted because of lack of licensing information. The File:HillsTitleCard.png appears to have had a rationale; if the file, and its rationale and licensing were valid could you please restore the file so that it can be used in the article. Thanks, snigbrook (talk) 21:16, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
It looks like the picture is copied from a publicity photograph, and probably small because it was copied from a newspaper or magazine. It also looks like the background has been replaced with a scaled down (and possibly cropped) version of the Goatse image, which is why I tagged it as vandalism. snigbrook (talk) 14:10, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Non-notable file
I've made a number edits to the Rivington / Horwich area articles and to be honest the File:Descendant chart of John Shaw and Elizabeth Willoughby.pdf is not that notable. All it does is show the descendants of a daughter of a baron. If you take good look at the people none of them come up to Wikipedia:Notability. Something like that belongs on some genealogy website not on Wikipedia. I know Rovington went too far by having deleted or tried to delete pages, images, etc. I think in this case it is justified to be deleted. – HLE (talk) 16:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Files don't have to be notable in and of themselves, nor do the contents of files have to be notable. I've deleted it, however, as original research which doesn't belong here. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 16:41, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

National Archive Search Results
Thanks for the previous help and advice, the message has greatly reassured me on those matters. I think I understand the method of keeping original work but have a couple of questions in order to be sure I have fully understood the information from you. Where the work contains primary sources that are verifiable through a search online with a summary at the national archives is this suitable as a secondary source? This may allow me to add to the Barons and other articles, for instance reference to records at the British National Archives? Would a search result from the national archives that gives a summary be classed as secondary and be suitable to be citations on wikipedia? I am also wondering if the FreeBMD site would be suitable as secondary source if no other is available? --PL.-Snr (talk) 00:16, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Orange County Science Fiction Club deletion
22:45, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Wesomniman (talk)
Hello, yesterday you deleted the page for the "Orange County Science Fiction Club". The club has been around for more than twenty-five years and has participated in many SF conventions. It is open to the public and people of all ages, have attended. Some members of the club are published authors. We have had award winning authors as guest speakers, many who return often to speak. Memebers who move away still stay in contact via the e-mail group. I feel the page should be undeleted, if possible. More information about the club will be added as time goes by to show how active it is. Thank you. Wesomniman. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wesomniman (talk • contribs) 21:38, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
The OCSFC is well known among in the local SF community. As mention in the article, the OCSFC for several years has had a presence at the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Societies annual convention LosCon. Members attend other conventions, then return and share what they learned. When we have a guest speaker of noteworthy the local papers are often informed. We are not a party club but a club that is serious about the genre of Science Fiction for it'e entertaiment value. I really think a page about the Orange County Science Fiction Club is valid. Thank you again, Wesomniman Wesomniman (talk) 00:28, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- I can understand your concern about frivolous pages. I am not sure how I can prove to you that we have a significance in th Science Fiction interest in the community. I know that you do not have the time for this, but if you Google "Orange County Science Fiction Club" you will see several pages of listings. In addition, the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society, one of the premiere and oldest existing SF Clubs consider us worthy of having a link on their Link Page. I am sorry for being persistent, but I do believe we meet the standards for a Wikipedia page. Thank you again, Wesomniman
Thank you for giving us a chance. I have asked the other club members to help make the page better. Wesomniman71.110.145.109 (talk) 02:17, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

FolderPlay
You have deleted a new page quoting A7.
But A& applies to persons and web content, and this is a page about a real widely used software product.
In addition, the complaint about lack of significance was contested, and in such case article cannot be deleted instantly.

Deletion review for FolderPlay
An editor has asked for a deletion review of FolderPlay. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. m656 (talk) 03:04, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
FolderPlay was deleted using "speedy deletion" despite the fact that "A7" does not belong with this type of article (software product). No comment was given to my objection and the article re-deleted for second time.
The speedy deletion was originally requested for an apparent "copyright issue", which since then was completely resolved. The second issue, notability, is not a reason for "speedy deletion" (it is only for biographies, but not for article about software). —Preceding unsigned comment added by M656 (talk • contribs) 03:09, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
By now five out of five editors agree that A7 does not apply (in discussion of deleting FolderPlay). Would it be possible to undelete the article FolderPlay?

SVT: The "Iowa Census Vandal"
Hi. I've found what I currently believe is an anonymous IP editor (173.31.144.162 (talk · contribs)) who has persistently and subtly vandalized over 20 articles, all regarding cities or counties in Iowa. The pattern that is emerging is that this editor changes demographic information, subtly adjusting various percentages of White, Black, Asian, and other ethnic groups. I've written more about it on my talk page and would appreciate any feedback on the situation which you'd care to give. Cheers! -- Bgpaulus (talk) 22:05, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Thoughts on unorganized territories
How do you think we should generally approach naming conventions for the various U.S. Census unorganized territories in the western states. They are county subdivisions, and the normal method for civil townships is to include the structure "County, State" after the primary name. However, Census naming is such that the county name is usually part of the primary name, as in West Adams Unorganized Territory, Adams County, North Dakota. In that case, disambiguation by county is already accomplished. The articles titles are at risk of becoming too long. What about West Adams Unorganized Territory, North Dakota or West Adams, Adams County, North Dakota. I'm partial to the 2nd option. It adheres to the current consensus convention on naming geographic locations, but is more concise. Unorganized Territory is really not needed in the article title, since is more of a descriptive term rather than part of the official name. For example, we don't title articles Bismarck City, North Dakota or Blackhawk Census Designated Place, South Dakota. Any thoughts?DCmacnut<> 20:00, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
File:Jim-Dale.JPG and others
I noticed you rejected the no permission deletion on this file and others with the edit summary "Per email contact with User:Spellcast, the WP uploader and the Flickr uploader are the same person". As I recall you pointed this earlier when their files were being reviewed, but per WP:CSD#F11. "Acceptable evidence of licensing normally consists of either a link to the source website where the license is stated, or a statement by the copyright holder e-mailed or forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org". The licensing is inconsistent with the website and there's no evidence of permission sent to OTRS. May I ask why you felt that an unlogged email was sufficient permission in this case? Township Opinion
I'm looking at tackling the Franklin Township, Portage County, Ohio article and am starting with history. The question is, how do we address where a township has been reduced in size from annexation in regards to historical events? For instance, many of the early events in the History of Kent, Ohio were actually in Franklin Township as the city did not exist as an incorporated municipality with its own boundaries and government until 1867. Do we just largely duplicate the history where the two overlap? That's what I'm thinking, but interested to hear your thoughts! :) --JonRidinger (talk) 06:37, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
