Caerphilly IP
Hi Musik, an IP hopper from Caerphilly, UK that I'd asked AIV to block a day or two ago, is continuing with the disruptions. You'd recommended page protection. Can you assist with this, please? I'm not keen on writing more RPP reports than I need to. I've already gotten Ozzy & Drix, Osmosis Jones, and Osmosis Jones (soundtrack) protected for 3 months each. I have a page protection request for Detention (TV series) sitting at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection#Detention (TV series), also asking for 3 month semi. That leaves The Legend of Korra, The Legend of Korra (season 1), The Legend of Korra (season 2), The Legend of Korra (season 3) in need of protection, along with anything else he chooses to vandalize. If you want to figure out a range block, some of the IPs used can be extracted from here. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:33, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- I'm going to have to sidestep this for now. This abuse is rather difficult to read into, in that it's not immediately obvious what exactly is disruptive and how I can prevent it apart from page protection. I don't see a range block working, there's a lot of ranges here, and they're fairly wide. Another admin who is used to performing range blocks may feel otherwise, however. Anyway, feel free to report at WP:RPP as needed, and I apologize that I am unable to help any further at this time. — MusikAnimal talk 15:35, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- When did immediacy become a criterion for whacking vandalism? This vandalism is immediately obvious. this vandalism is not immediately obvious, but the introduction of Powerpuff Girls characters into an unrelated article should absolutely be considered obvious vandalism. As should this edit even if it's not immediately obvious. If you won't block the individual IPs, and if you don't think a range block will be helpful, and if you're not willing to help with the very page protections you recommended, then would you consider actively not declining my Caerphilly-related AIV requests on the off-chance that another admin will choose to participate? That's not meant as a dig against you, rather that I spend an awful lot of time filing unnecessary reports and I need all the help I can get. Thanks, and please know that I don't harbor any pissy feelings toward you. :) Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:08, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- I meant that I can't help right now. Sorry to have mislead you. I did go ahead and semi The Legend of Korra (season 2) for three months. Going by the book, I don't see enough recent activity at The Legend of Korra to warrant protection. Feel free to make reports at RPP or AIV as necessary, I won't decline them. For the record, I'm guessing these disruptive edits you've linked are mixed in with what may be perceived as constructive edits, as I don't recall seeing anything of that nature. — MusikAnimal talk 17:23, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Ah. Thanks for the explanation, Musik, and the support. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:45, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

DYK for MTA Arts & Design
On 4 May 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article MTA Arts & Design, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the MTA Arts & Design-commissioned "Sky Reflector-Net" uses a 53-foot (16 m) skylight and hundreds of aluminium mirrors to bring sunlight into the Fulton Center transit hub? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/MTA Arts & Design. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Hey there, hope you are well. What do you suppose the protocol is for handling a GA review where the initiator has been indeffed as a sock? See Talk:Musical instrument/GA2. Someone opened this, I worked on addressing their concerns, and then I noticed they are indeffed. --Laser brain (talk) 19:50, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Laser brain: Oh dear! I would ask for second opinion, which is essentially relisting it, but other reviewers may be more keen to finish partially done reviews. Maybe. I'd volunteer to do takeover the review myself, as obviously this is a subject of interest, but unfortunately I'm swamped and don't have time for it right now. I'll be on holiday the latter half of the month, and if by early June you still don't have a new reviewer, let me know and I'll take it up! Cheers — MusikAnimal talk 19:57, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello from Tony Holkham
You blocked user 81.129.34.107 a couple of days ago. Judging by the edits and reverts, they have been replaced by 109.154.156.242. Same location of the two IP addresses. Can the latter be blocked as well or does it have to be reported? Regards, Tony Holkham (Talk) 09:23, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Tony Holkham: The original block on 81.129.34.107 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) is set to expire today I believe, so I only blocked 109.154.156.242 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) for 31 hours. I could extend it, but I'm more curious to see which IP they'll resume editing with, or if it will be yet another IP. Also to answer your question, you can always contact the blocking admin about anything, really, but block evasion especially since they are familiar with the original block. If they can't be reached, for something this obvious (the two IPs were making the exact same edits), reporting AIV is fine. More complex cases may require a sockpuppet investigation. — MusikAnimal talk 14:23, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. This is my first experience of sanctions against a disruptive editor who refuses to discuss problems. Tony Holkham (Talk) 14:27, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Zalingeishahpur
Hello MusikAnimal. Would you be able to please assist me with encouraging Zalingeishahpur (talk · contribs) to provide sources for their recent changes? My attempts to communicate have yet to be successful. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 16:35, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Yamaguchi先生! Well for starters, I see that their edits at Sargodha have not been reverted. If they are easily verifiable, or plausible in nature, you could add references or {{cn}} tags as necessary. If it's likely to be challenged it's probably best removed. As for their persistence, I'm not sure what else to do other than block at this point. They've been given ample warnings, all of them clearly stating they need to add sources. They haven't edited in over 6 hours though, so I won't block at this time. If it continues you can report to AIV or message me directly. Best — MusikAnimal talk 16:57, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you MusikAnimal. I have left one more (non-template) message for Zalingeishahpur [2] offering my assistance. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 17:16, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Oh so they did make an attempt to discuss, but were just logged out. That makes me less inclined to block, as I think it's clear they're editing in good faith, and are at least making an attempt to do it right. I like your approach. Hopefully we can work with them to implement their constructive changes but accompanied by sources. FYI, I always point new users to WP:INTREF, and not the walls of text you'll find at WP:V, WP:RS, etc. — MusikAnimal talk 18:17, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you MusikAnimal. I have left one more (non-template) message for Zalingeishahpur [2] offering my assistance. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 17:16, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for the pointer to WP:INTREF, I will bookmark that one. Unfortunately the problematic removal of citation templates followed by addition of uncited material continues. [3] I'm not sure how best to proceed, would attempts to further communicate be productive, should the page be semi-protected? Regards, Yamaguchi先生 16:04, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- In this case we have multiple anonymous users that are repeatedly adding the unsourced content, so semi-protection seems like the best preventive measure. I've gone with a 4-day duration. The user you have been communicating with is autoconfirmed, however, and hence will still be able to edit the page. So if they continue to disrupt in this way we may be forced to block them, as they have been warned repeatedly. Best — MusikAnimal talk 16:45, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you again for your help in this matter. I have left another note for Zalingeishahpur [4] but am beginning to lose hope at this point. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 21:20, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
Hello from 199.195.108.111
Accidental vandalism from this IP:
Hello, this is "199.195.108.111". I am a student of Pinnacle High School (Phoenix, Arizona) who is connected to the school wi-fi via a school laptop. It's likely the change made was from a random person here, but I think you are right in assuming that edit was a mistake.
I am a senior at this school now and in my first two years here the school's IP was blocked because it was a singular IP given to an institution. (I know there is a more specific name for that, but I honestly don't remember it.) I suggest that you block edits from this IP but allow users to sign in to circumvent the ban. Your profile states that you are an administrator so I hope you are able to look into this and take the right action.
I only became aware of you because there was an unusual notification at the top of a page after searching. I haven't told anyone about this yet so if you wish to continue a dialogue I can probably manage to keep in touch without someone else here interfering. 199.195.108.111 (talk) 19:43, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hello! At this time there's no reason to block your school's IP, the disruption is not out of hand. If we do block an IP, we don't normally do a "hard block", which would disallow logged in users from editing. So, if you'd like you can create an account to avoid future irrelevant notices like the one you saw today. After all, we want you to be able to edit too! — MusikAnimal talk 21:34, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
Maria Dakake
MusikAnimal, I am not sure why you deleted the Article for Maria Dakake that I put up. There are elements that repeat some information available on her faculty page at George Mason University. This is inevitable when providing basic facts regarding one's position and one's published works. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Quran Scholar (talk • contribs) 17:38, 6 May 2015 (UTC) So should I reference the page that you were worried I had copied. Would that suffice as a reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Quran Scholar (talk • contribs) 17:45, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Quran Scholar: Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Lists of published works is not a concern. I reviewed the deleted article, and confirmed that there was actual prose taken word for word from this website and possibly others.I have restored your article and put it at Draft:Maria Dakake with the copyrighted content removed. I've also set it up so that you can submit the article for review. A few notes: As I noted on your talk page, the article is unsourced. Having at least one reliable source is a requirement for articles on living persons. See Help:Introduction to referencing for how to add references. Finally, the tone of the article may sound a bit too promotional, at least without proper sourcing. Sentences like
recognized as a leader in the understanding of the development
will need references to support them. So, take your time to improve the article at Draft:Maria Dakake, and when you think it's ready click the big green button to submit it for review. From there, experienced editors will help you refine and get it published it to the Wikipedia mainspace. Hope this helps, and let me know if you have anymore questions! :) — MusikAnimal talk 05:00, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Why did you revert my change? "Amiibos" is not the official, correct pluralization of "amiibo", which is already plural. Go to the amiibo page, and you'll see that they never say "amiibos" on it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.55.254.106 (talk) 18:57, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Recent changes
- You can now make charts and maps on your wiki with the new "graph" tool. If you have an old browser, you will see images instead. It uses a tool called Vega; you can learn how to use it and write help pages for your wiki. You can use the Vega edit tool to make charts and copy the code to your wiki. Charts and maps use complex code and you should put them into templates. In the future, you will be able to create charts with VisualEditor. [8] [9] [10]
- You can apply for technical jobs to develop tools for the community. [11]
- The logos of all wikis are now in a new place. It will make pages load faster. You can still ask to change the logo. You can also use local CSS for brief changes. [12] [13]
Problems
- There was a problem that caused slow editing. [14]
- Pages were sometimes removed from your watchlist in VisualEditor. This problem is now fixed. [15]
Changes this week
- The new version of MediaWiki has been on test wikis and MediaWiki.org since May 6. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis from May 12. It will be on all Wikipedias from May 13 (calendar).
- You can now use data from Wikidata on more pages. The page doesn't need to be linked to the Wikidata item. It works on a few wikis and more wikis will be added soon. [16] [17]
- You should get fewer errors when you add files to Commons. [18]
- When you use an external link to link to a wiki page, VisualEditor now converts it to a wiki link. [19]
- When you add a link in VisualEditor, you see pages that match what you type. It is now easier to see where they match. [20]

westmallingah
Hi,I am writing on behalf of westmallingash, as you recently blocked our account as it is a shared account. My reasoning to making this account is that it would take a lot of time for me to make about 30 accounts, configure the accounts, make cards for them, than give them out; also if there is a problem with it when signing in, it is easier to manage instead of having to go onto each account and trying to see whats mis-configured or whatever the problem is. Please consider that I am a student so I am doing this in my free time, and it will take maybe even a day to do this, and I also am doing test at the moment, so the last thing I want to be doing at the moment. The education program is not the way forward for what we are doing and we do not have enough time to make our own accounts. I respect the policy and all but it would be to much to make individual accounts. Our school ip is blocked from editing on wiki without an account, this is because we use a proxy. Thank you for your time, please leave a comment on my page(dangray1) with your response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dangray1 (talk • contribs) 16:19, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
Hi. Sorry if I trod on your toes a bit! Obviously being the newest admin on the block I can't have had any experience at WP:RPP other than having kept an eye on it for years and seeing the fallout from my own requests. In the case of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, it looks like it ought to be a prime candidate for semi-protection, but when I spun through the edits, and cross compare it with the rough guide, it just didn't seem to be out of control enough. I think it's possibly years of experience with IPs changing articles I've taken to GA has shown me that popular culture topics that aren't obvious hate figures seem to not be prone to IP disruption as you might expect - or possibly its just my residual paranoia of having dealt with the Best known for IP. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:54, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: No worries my friend! Especially as a new admin I want to give you room to exercise your judgement, which I don't think is flawed at all. I'm not a wheel warrior, when things like that happen were I action at the same time another admin declines to action, I undo my action. Didn't mean to put you on the spot, either, just wanted to offer my two cents. Welcome aboard and looking forward to working with you! :) — MusikAnimal talk 18:08, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- Not a problem. And I'm sure you'd agree that as a new admin, erring on the side of not using the tools is exactly what should be done! Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 18:16, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- Absolutely! — MusikAnimal talk 18:17, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- If I recall, back last year or so Bearian and I used to protect-conflict on RFPP every few days. Occasionally we would agree, occasionally we would disagree (or protect the same article for different durations). It's funny how two people can have such different opinions on requests. Welcome aboard Ritchie333! --kelapstick(bainuu) 18:29, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- MelanieN (it's all her fault I've got the mop :-P) has suggested that protection is the nicest of the main tools, as its the only one you ever get thanked for, as I did for indefinitely semi'ing Dean Ambrose earlier today. Deleting tends to upset whoever wrote the article (unless they've abandoned it), and blocking just makes editors angry. It's interesting to see how other admins react on WP:RPP, I've been a bit more cautious and explained my rationale in a sentence or two, others just wade in and slap a "1 month pending changes" without so much as a by of leave. Can you mentor me?
Hi there! I find you being very kind and civil to users and I am taking that as an opportunity for me. I'v been around here for a while now, with a good understanding of basic Wikipedia policies. Still going around Wiki makes me feel new. Although not a new user I would love to have your help on getting to understand every (well, not every) ;) aspects of Wiki. I guess you are a developer.. I'm currently on my course in computer science too! If you can help me by monitoring my moves around here, what should I do more and what should I not, teaching me new stuffs, clearing my doubts etc,... But don't worry I won't cause any trouble for you... Can you?? Thanks in Advance.. --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 19:49, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Jaaron95: Sure! I'm always happy to help others. I don't offer a course or anything of the like, but if I happen to see something you could have done better, I'll let you know. I just looked over your last hundred or two contributions, most of it counter-vandalism. It all looks spot-on to me, great work if I must say so! However with this edit I would have gone in and correctly added a {{cn}} template which is what the user was trying to do. Either way the edit couldn't stand as is, so a good-faith revert was still appropriate. Vandal fighting is fun because you can make a real impact on the project and get to exercise some judgement of policies with these good-faith reverts. I often link to relevant policies/guidelines in the edit summaries to point the user in the right direction, but you don't have to do that. About the techy stuff... I can definitely guide you there if you ever need help. Once you grasp how the MediaWiki software works it's pretty fascinating. Anyway, I'm on holiday starting tomorrow through the rest of the month, so I won't be around much. When I return do feel free to reach out to me anytime, and don't feel like you're being overwhelming. In the meantime, keep up the good work! — MusikAnimal talk 02:56, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- @MusikAnimal: Thanks for your offer! I appreciate it... Is there a way where I can get some instant help from you? Being in almost opposite time zones, I think that'd be helpful! And enjoy your holidays!! Cheers!! --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 06:20, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello MusikAnimal, You recently made a temporary block on the above user, but this appears to be of no avail. There have been several instances of vandalism since, the last being a mass deletion of text on the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia which I have reversed. As this user is only engaged in disruption, is it not time for a longer ban? Best regards, David, David J Johnson (talk) 15:35, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Request (Whalestate)
Hey animal,
Duh I'm kind of jealous you went to Egypt, well slightly, sure you had a good time there though.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL INTENDED MOTIVATION FOR MY MESSAGING YOURSELF > I made a typo error in an editorial summary, would it be at all possible for you to go in and add the letter which I missed out from a word in there? I'm really finicky about these things. It's only the second typo I've made in 1,778 edits.
and
on your user page there is a thing which is photographs - shows < See another > and links to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListFiles/MusikAnimal could you please tell me about this? I'd like to get one.

Requested edit to Special:AbuseFilter/633
I noticed that Special:AbuseFilter/633 is missing some useful for tagging, which would be 'added link' and 'fixed'/'fixed content'. It's a relatively minor thing, but useful nevertheless. exoplanetaryscience (talk) 19:25, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Exoplanetaryscience: Are you sure those edit summaries are buttons on the mobile interface or app? — MusikAnimal talk 09:24, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware that this filter was made for mobile edit summaries. exoplanetaryscience (talk) 14:04, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes some edits have misleading edit summaries as a result of the mobile interface. So if there's a large change and the edit summary is "Fixed typo" it's not necessarily a vandal trying to fool the patrollers but rather they just hit a button. I've tried bringing this to WMF attention with no remedy. I will however work to clarify the intent of this tag. Cheers — MusikAnimal talk 20:45, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

2015 GA Cup
Greetings, all! We would like to announce the start of the 2nd GA Cup, a competition that seeks to encourage the reviewing of Good article nominations! Our inaugural competition, which ran from October 2014 to April 2015, was such a resounding success that we'd like to do it again. Currently, there are over 500 GANs ready to be reviewed; competitors in the previous GA Cup reviewed about 570 GAs, so we can again make a huge impact in helping editors improve articles in Wikipedia and decrease the traditionally long queue at GAN. The 2nd GA Cup will begin on July 1, 2015. As last time, five rounds are currently scheduled (which will bring the competition to a close on November 28, 2015), but this may change based on participant numbers. The judges learned a lot during the 1st GA Cup which exposed weaknesses in its system. Using both the feedback from last year's participants and the weaknesses discovered, we've revised the scoring system to make it more fair. The sign-up and submissions process will remain the same. We also are introducing three new judges: 3family6, Jaguar and MrWooHoo. So in total, there will be six judges. We hope this will allow the competition to run more smoothly. Sign-ups for the upcoming competition are currently open and will close on July 15, 2015. Everyone is welcome to join; new and old editors, so sign-up now! If you have any questions, take a look at the FAQ page and/or contact one of the judges. Cheers from 3family6, Dom497, Figureskatingfan, Jaguar and MrWooHoo, and TheQ Editor. |

VisualEditor News #3—2015
Since the last newsletter, the Editing Team has created new interfaces for the link and citation tools, as well as fixing many bugs and changing some elements of the design. Some of these bugs affected users of VisualEditor on mobile devices. Status reports are posted on Mediawiki.org. The worklist for April through June is available in Phabricator.
A test of VisualEditor's effect on new editors at the English Wikipedia has just completed the first phase. During this test, half of newly registered editors had VisualEditor automatically enabled, and half did not. The main goal of the study is to learn which group was more likely to save an edit and to make productive, unreverted edits. Initial results will be posted at Meta later this month.
Recent improvements
Auto-fill features for citations are available at a few Wikipedias through the citoid service. Citoid takes a URL or DOI for a reliable source, and returns a pre-filled, pre-formatted bibliographic citation. If Citoid is enabled on your wiki, then the design of the citation workflow changed during May. All citations are now created inside a single tool. Inside that tool, choose the tab you want (⧼citoid-citeFromIDDialog-mode-auto⧽, ⧼citoid-citeFromIDDialog-mode-manual⧽, or ⧼citoid-citeFromIDDialog-mode-reuse⧽). The cite button is now labeled with the word "⧼visualeditor-toolbar-cite-label⧽" rather than a book icon, and the autofill citation dialog now has a more meaningful label, "⧼Citoid-citeFromIDDialog-lookup-button⧽", for the submit button.
The link tool has been redesigned based on feedback from Wikipedia editors and user testing. It now has two separate sections: one for links to articles and one for external links. When you select a link, its pop-up context menu shows the name of the linked page, a thumbnail image from the linked page, Wikidata's description, and/or appropriate icons for disambiguation pages, redirect pages and empty pages. Search results have been reduced to the first five pages. Several bugs were fixed, including a dark highlight that appeared over the first match in the link inspector (T98085).
The special character inserter in VisualEditor now uses the same special character list as the wikitext editor. Admins at each wiki can also create a custom section for frequently used characters at the top of the list. Please read the instructions for customizing the list at mediawiki.org. Also, there is now a tooltip to describing each character in the special character inserter (T70425).
Several improvements have been made to templates. When you search for a template to insert, the list of results now contains descriptions of the templates. The parameter list inside the template dialog now remains open after inserting a parameter from the list, so that users don’t need to click on "⧼visualeditor-dialog-transclusion-add-param⧽" each time they want to add another parameter (T95696). The team added a new property for TemplateData, "Example", for template parameters. This optional, translatable property will show up when there is text describing how to use that parameter (T53049).
The design of the main toolbar and several other elements have changed slightly, to be consistent with the MediaWiki theme. In the Vector skin, individual items in the menu are separated visually by pale gray bars. Buttons and menus on the toolbar can now contain both an icon and a text label, rather than just one or the other. This new design feature is being used for the cite button on wikis where the Citoid service is enabled.
The team has released a long-desired improvement to the handling of non-existent images. If a non-existent image is linked in an article, then it is now visible in VisualEditor and can be selected, edited, replaced, or removed.
Let's work together
- Share your ideas and ask questions at mw:VisualEditor/Feedback.
- The weekly task triage meetings continue to be open to volunteers, each Wednesday at 12:00 (noon) PDT (19:00 UTC). Learn how to join the meetings and how to nominate bugs at mw:Talk:VisualEditor/Portal. You do not need to attend the meeting to nominate a bug for consideration as a Q4 blocker. Instead, go to Phabricator and "associate" the Editing team's Q4 blocker project with the bug.
- If your Wikivoyage, Wikibooks, Wikiversity, or other community wants to have VisualEditor made available by default to contributors, then please contact James Forrester.
- If you would like to request the Citoid automatic reference feature for your wiki, please post a request in the Citoid project on Phabricator. Include links to the TemplateData for the most important citation templates on your wiki.

- (talk page stalker)@Worldaffairssf: It isn't "your article", it's an article about your organisation on Wikipedia, the encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Also, I'm going to guess the main reason was because you just copied all the content off your website, which is why it was promotional, not neutral tone and also a copyright violation, per WP:COPYVIO. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:58, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
@Joseph2302: Actually, I didn't put the page up, so your right, not "my article", but an article about an organization with interested parties who want to know the article was deleted. Nobody copied "all the content" off the website, or it would have been a ridiculously long article. I don't know exactly what was on the page, but according to @MusikAnimal:, too much of the article was copied from the website's about page. Thank you, @MusikAnimal:, for politely and thoroughly explaining what was wrong with the article! I don't have plans to write an article for the company (i.e. managing the conflict of interest), but couldn't figure out how else to find out what the issue was with the article. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, would you be able to advise who the editor who created this page was. There is a ticket in one of the OTRS queues relating to this and someone impersonating (I hope) a user off-wiki. Amortias (T)(C) 19:42, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- No need to worry about this already been dealt with now. Amortias (T)(C) 21:38, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

- Either way the external link is clearly inappropriate. They've been warned, and continued to edit war. Blocked for 31 hours. — MusikAnimal talk 21:56, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Looks like we collided. I had just sent him off for perpetuity, but you won out. Let's see what happens when/if he returns. Favonian (talk) 22:02, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yes indefinitely is probably a better fit. Had I deemed it as advertising-only I would indef, but I don't think they're link spamming for HGTV, as if they were hired by them or something. The link is just inappropriately placed and clearly not being used as a reference to some content. The user name makes it seem like single-purpose but maybe they're just truly a big fan of living room designs... which is maybe assuming too much good faith... Tag on the edit warring and it seemed like just normal disruptive editing. Basically it's probably David Beals. — MusikAnimal talk 22:08, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- In which case he'll definitely be back. Lock-and-load! Favonian (talk) 22:15, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello from 50.5.29.82
Read this webpage about Christ Gospel. It explains how the leadership is extremely controlling. http://the-messenger-of-god.blogspot.com/2011/01/religious-cults.html June 12 201550.5.29.82 (talk) 16:10, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Blogs are not acceptable as references, we need something more reliable. I also think using the term "cult" is just too subjective or contentious to begin with. "Denomination" is accurate and more neutral, which we should aim to maintain. — MusikAnimal talk 16:50, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Suggestion for implementation of an option to be added to the "revert" tool
Hello, MusikAnimal .. It would be a handy option for an editor with the "revert" tool to be able to leave a message in a message box whenever the editor uses the revert tool. Currently, the "undo" tool allows for a message in a message box, but the revert tool does not allow for a message. Occasionally, when myself and other editors find ourselves having to use revert, we would like to be able to leave a message to explain why we reverted an edit, but we cannot leave a message because revert doesn't have that option. If you agree that having this option would be a good idea, please see what you can do to possibly contact the needed people who can make it happen. Thank you. Johnsmith2116 (talk) 18:23, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Johnsmith2116, sorry for the late reply! If by revert tool you mean rollback, than the inability to add your own edit summary is intentional. Rollback is meant to be a quick reversion of blatant vandalism, almost "procedural reverts", if you will. Anything else (with some exceptions) rollback should not be used. Twinkle and undo both offer the ability to use an edit summary. Hope this helps! — MusikAnimal talk 14:19, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello from Dael4
bob fitrakis page had major deletions
The page subject was fully aware of the page as it was and is the editor of the Columbus Free Press. He is a lawyer and has no contention as too copyrighted material from his paper to this page.
Please give me a heads up of what I can do to restore it. I am in contact with Dr. Fitrakis if you need any other permissions.

Hello from Genuine comrade
Hello, are you the one who made the artice. "Transition economy"? Because if you did, then what you wrote is wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Genuine comrade (talk • contribs) 17:03, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Genuine comrade: No, I did not create that article. You can see who contributed to the article by looking at the page history. Now, if you feel the information is incorrect, that is fine, but you should blank the page entirely. Instead, why not try to improve it? The better practice when you have concerns about an article is to discuss them on talk page. There other contributors to the article can chime in and together we can fix whatever is wrong. Thanks for your understanding, and let me know if you need help! — MusikAnimal talk 17:06, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- Well, can you tell whoever made the article, to talk to me? Tell him that the concept is wrong. I am new here, but I know the article is wrong. Because a "Transition" economy is a situation in which you can change your economic system from one type to any other type, not necessarily from planned to market. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Genuine comrade (talk • contribs) 17:13, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Genuine comrade: No sole person made the article. It, like the rest of the wiki, is a collaborative effort with many authors working together. Once again the article's talk page is the place to express your concerns. That is the best way to get in touch with other contributors to the article. Best — MusikAnimal talk 17:18, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
