I've noticed your request for translation (after the fact that I already started...). So I figured I let you know that I did attempt a translation of the article, as well as adding info of my own. Little-quiqueg 23:44, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, I've just noticed the translation effort there- great job! It's great to think the work I've done has been translated elsewhere. Would it be possible to say somewhere that the article is based on a translation from English? I would have done it in the edit summary, but maybe there's a template you can use on the article, or perhaps a banner to go on the talk page? J Milburn (talk) 09:41, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's brilliant- thanks very much. It's great to know the articles I have written can now also be read in other languages, thanks to people like you. J Milburn (talk) 11:20, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for translation

[edit]

Hello there. Here is my translation of the article from the Bulgarian Wikipedia.

" Криви камък is a beautiful peak in the Lulin mountain situated about 1-2 km to the north of the village of Lulin in the Pernik Province and 12 km to the southwest of the town of Bankya. Its altitude is 1227,78 metres. It is known for its clean air and wide view which towards the whole of Pernik, the villages around it and parts of Sofia to be seen."

I hope this is the article you were looking for. By the way is the novel you are reading Under the Yoke?--Avidius (talk) 21:28, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again! The novel deals with the events during the April Uprising especially around the town of Panagyurishte and Sopot. Byala Cherkva is the old name of Sopot and has nothing to do with the town of Byala Cherkva in Northern Bulgaria. So the peak Krivi Kamuk is probably a peak or a place in the Sredna Gora mountain but I can't find anything about it in the internet. However it definitely isn't the Krivi Kamuk peak in Lulin. I may be able to expand the article about the novel but I have exams soon and don't have the time for it. Cheers!--Avidius (talk) 08:38, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Saint-Louis, New Caledonia, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 18:10, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I saw your question on Laveol's page and will give you a fast answer, although I am sure that Laveol will answer you much better and much more clearly later :) The second article concerns ethnic Bulgarians who were born in the region of Macedonia while the first one concerns the so called "ethnic Macedonians" in Bulgaria. But as you know the Macedonian nation is a Serbian creation and all "Macedonians" are in fact Macedonians (Bulgarians), meaning Bulgarians who were born in that region but otherwise no different from the other Bulgarians. Thank God that the Romanians haven't created a new nation of the Hungarian minority there :):):) Best, --Gligan (talk) 11:44, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sam'al

[edit]

Hi Ksanyi, please look again at the article of Sam'al. It is not about the modern village, but about the archaeological site and kingdom you are describing. They only included the modern name of the site (Zincirli) as well. And please have a look at the pages of Ebla, Mari, Syria and Carchemish as well. All these were kingdoms (and much larger and more important than Sam'al at that) as well as archaeological sites, and they are all described on a single page. So please consider merging your article with Sam'al; you can easily expand the history section there with the info from the page you created. Hope this helps! -- Zoeperkoe (talk) 14:08, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 1912 Hungarian Men Water Polo Championship, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 1911 Hungarian Men Water Polo Championship. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 11:55, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ksanyi. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Henri-Louis-Philippe Mougin, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Henri-Louis-Philippe Mougin to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

Ways to improve Ngata people

[edit]

Hi, I'm Sfan00 IMG. Ksanyi, thanks for creating Ngata people!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. have you tried examining Ethnogrpahic collections?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

The article Louis Marchegay has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Deletion discussion about Anna utca

[edit]

Hello, Ksanyi,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Anna utca should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anna utca .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Ways to improve Saint George's Church, Brașov

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Ksanyi, thanks for creating Saint George's Church, Brașov!

Hello, Ksanyi. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Erzsébet Bajári, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

A tag has been placed on Big Flow Music requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Dear Boleyn, Thank you for all of the help. To be honest I thought it is helpful, if I translate from Hungarian Wikipedia. Hereinafter I will not translate full articles from Hungarian to English. Ksanyi (talk) 10:06, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't very helpful if the original material you're copying is completely unverified, but lots of them are sourced - you're just not copying the sources. For example, Herman Krupp and Bruno Abbatini both have references in their Hungarian articles, but you have copied them to English Wikipedia with no references. Boleyn (talk) 13:05, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sources which I do not include would come from Wikidata. E.G. Bruno's source is here: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q528684#sitelinks-wikipedia and Hermann Krupp's sources also come from Wikidata. Unfortunately I can not use that source still. Ksanyi (talk) 14:08, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:09, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Jan Korbička has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This musician biography article lacks in-depth sources to establish notability. After searching I found an article that discusses mainly the band and it's members, but does contain a section with this person's biography. The article's second reference mentions the musician only in passing. Otherwise I did not find any additional sources. Created on 14 November 2013.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
