Actually, CT55555, I came here after seeing this article. Why you chose to use your talents writing about a TikTokker who could be gone tomorrow is baffling to me. Doesn't seem like a notable individual with any significance beyond a branded social media account that could be shut down at any time. Not lasting in any way and not worth your time and talent. I really mean this as a compliment to you but I find most articles about social media phenoms or YouTubers eventually end up at AFD. Liz ^{Read! Talk!} 20:05, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

I thought a lot before starting it, but really "public interest" is what drove me, I perceive there is high demand for people to understand this person and his motivations irrespective of his likability. Why would it get to AFD though? He's notable for multiple events, is making international news, is provoking conversations about criminal justice and social media algorithms. I think the project has a bias against notability for social media influencers and I personally don't like them, but I still think it's encyclopaedic. Indeed if coverage isn't sustained, that could be an argument, but it's too early to tell.

I hope people won't rush to delete, as I think as a society we are better off understanding people that are not easy to understand. Fingers crossed. CT55555(talk) 20:10, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

Oh, I write the featured content report for The Signpost, and I noted this as a good, if flawed (quite a rotation) image the moment I saw it, and put it on the list. Hi. That sounds like you had a stressful experience, I'm sorry to hear. I hope that wasn't why you stopped editing. I hope your health has improved.

I welcome any effort to improve the article. I am also partly curious to learn if you think I did what you wanted or not.

I fear the article is on a path to not passing, as two editors who I think are FAC regulars and persuasive consider Nila Reynolds book to not not good enough for a FAC source, and so much of the article relies on that to mean that rejecting her reliability (I assume) blocks the FAC pass. So I'm currently sitting with that disappointment and it does mean that you might put effort on to an article that might not make the bar.

Improvements are welcome.

@Voorts the feedback is helpful and I've been able to address most of it (except the sourcing issues) already. I am not sure what the problem is with using newspapers as sources. There's no issue with using newspapers per se, but I think that for this to be "broad in its coverage", there will need to be citation to some other secondary sources that discuss the article's subject. Hi CT55555. As Larataguera notes, the nom is ticking along more or less normally. More general reviews always help, but it is possible that what you have already, plus what is in the works, will be sufficient. It will need a source review, so I have listed it at Image and source check requests. That said, it may be worth asking one or two of the editors who commonly do source reviews - see the first table here or here - if they would take it on. Hi friend, indeed it didn't get promoted, mainly due to a lack fo consensus of the reliability of Nila Reynolds as a historian. I felt that I made a compelling rebuttal of that, but the conversation was closed within a few hours of my rebuttal before anyone got a chance to respond.

I decided to take a break from working on that article for now. I hope to made any further improvements I can and then see if those who did not find Reynolds to be reliable initially can be persuaded. If they can, great. If they cannot, then I'll happily leave it at GA. I'd rather it was a full GA than a cut down FA. Reynolds is the only source for a significant quantity of content.
