– As the winner of the 2024 Booker Prize and because of pageviews [1], [2], [3], the author is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Theparties (talk) 21:07, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose more than 2 Harvey's, keep as is. Scuba 04:14, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose the author has only been steadily above the pageview threshold for WP:PT1 for [4] at this point... as recently as May 2024 the singer and writer were receiving the same amount of views.Let's let it simmer for a few more months to see if she maintains her current pageview advantage or comes back within the range where she may no longer qualify for WP:PT1. - Comment: see here for pageviews: you can compare several in one graph, and monthly gives a wider picture.
- Support move: although something odd happened to the page views in May, we have a Booker Prize winning writer, who will be notable for years even if she never writes another word; a Youtuber/singer with steady undistinguished pageviews; and an athlete last recorded as active in 2004. I think we can trust the trend in the page views, and common sense, and agree that the author is the primary topic. PamD 09:37, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Support Move : Although I don't see the "rush" to move this page, and main disambiguation status as more of a lifetime retrospective award, it strikes me as logical that there might as well be one dominant name per name disambiguation, for which a Booker Prize will drive a lot of traffic, and you can always change it a few years from now if the singer signs with Taylor Swift's A/R team. - Support, based on the following:
- long-standing notability / search frequency (wiki) since September 2018, whereas the pentathlete has never been as popular (byordersof magnitude) an the singer has only recently become famous-ish; but not to the same max / high pageview levels as writer.
- Cultural and Academic Impact based on success for their field; writer is a betty trask-winning booker-winning writer. growing catalog with critically acclaimed works, such as The Wilderness (shortlisted for the Orange Prize) and All Is Song. Her literary contributions have garnered prestigious awards and nominations, solidifying her lasting cultural significance. The athlete and singer, while accomplished, have not achieved similar levels of global or long-term recognition.
- Longevity and Body of Work spans multiple novels, each earning critical acclaim and awards, showcasing a sustained contribution to her field. In contrast, the athlete's career has limited prominence due to quitting after her strong 2003 performances and placing 25th at the 2004 olympics, possibly due to their age, and the singer's presence is tied to more transient popular appeal that hasn't been tested over longer periods of time. if singer ever becomes more acclaimed (like Katy Perry or Demi Lovato levels of popularity or w/e), then this can always be reversed or updated.
- Popularity Samantha Harvey (writer) is the most searched figure of the three on Google Trends, and even just Orbital has had higher average interest over time than the others.

- Oppose There's no need to change it. Multiple people under the same name, and she's not a household name like that. Doctorstrange617 (talk) 14:31, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. The amount of pageviews will likely significantly reduce in a few months. 750h+ 12:50, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
