[edit]Hello, I'm Bagumba. Your recent edit to the page Isaiah Thomas (basketball) appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. Speedy deletion nomination of Jack Hubbard (entrepreneur)
[edit]Hello Doctorstrange617,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jack Hubbard (entrepreneur) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
TheLongTone (talk) 13:48, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Sounds good. I contested the deletion because he's a public figure. He's a senior executive at one of the country's most notable nonprofit organizations and he's been quoted extensively because he co-founded a successful company. Feel free to tweak the content, but I definitely think he's worthy of a bio due to the many news citations. Doctorstrange617 (talk) 14:30, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Jack Hubbard (entrepreneur)
[edit]Hello, Doctorstrange617,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Jack Hubbard (entrepreneur) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jack Hubbard (entrepreneur) .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

Dan Backer
[edit]Please note that I have deleted the article you recreated on Dan Backer under the this speedy deletion criteria as substantially the same as the article that was deleted per this discussion. The recreated article failed to address any of the concerns raised in the deletion discussion, and actually contained less information and sources than the first article. If you are certain that you can create an article that addresses the points raised in the deletion discussion I strongly suggest you create the article in Draft space via the Articles for creation process and a neutral reviewer can move the article to main space if the notability and promotional concerns have been addressed.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 00:05, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- And, once again, it's ridiculous that the page was deleted. Which "notability" standards are not being met? He's been not only mentioned, but FEATURED as an expert, by the mainstream media numerous times. Not liberal or conservative blogs, but some of the most recognizable news outlets in the country. You do realize that that happens to fewer than one percent of Americans, right? What more do you want? It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, beyond the time spent creating a page for an undeniably PUBLIC FIGURE, but the level of scrutiny here is downright ridiculous. Speedy deletion nomination of Every Vote Counts
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Every Vote Counts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Military Veterans Advocacy
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Military Veterans Advocacy, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
Thank you for your new article on Military Veterans Advocacy, but note that other editors have questioned the group's notability for a Wikipedia article. For pointers, follow the links in the notice at the top of the page. I also suggest reading WP:REFBOMB as the article is loaded with many footnotes that are about things the group cares about, but not the group itself.

Alert
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Apparent misuse of a source
[edit]At Young Americans for Liberty you added the claim that "As of September 2020, YAL’s efforts had helped elect a total of 56 candidates to state legislatures across the United States." Your source was this. But what Drebes actually wrote was "According to their website, last cycle “Operation Win at the Door” knocked on more than 1.5 million doors and secured 56 victories." Note that the community's opinion of the Washington Examiner at [[Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources[edit]]] is "There is no consensus on the reliability of the Washington Examiner, but there is consensus that it should not be used to substantiate exceptional claims." And that claim is exceptional. Your Conservative Woman source is also useless, of course they'd back what YAL said and they offer no evidence. You've used a YAL speaker for the claim "Operation Win at the Door won 37 general election races across..." Purely promotional. Anyone can claim that the reason someone won was because they campaigned for that person. Note that the article is under the sanctions described above. It's only fair to give you a pass on this, but please be much more careful next time. Doug Weller talk 15:17, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

The article Archbridge Institute has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Promotional article. Originally sourced almost entirely to a string of passing mentions in the media, or to byline credits of people associated with Archbridge - but containing no independent RS information about Archbridge. A WP:BEFORE shows no independent third-party RS coverage of Archbridge that I could find that would pass WP:CORPDEPTH. To be kept, we would need independent third-party coverage in clear RSes that was actually about Archbridge itself, per WP:CORPDEPTH.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. David Gerard (talk) 19:58, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

English variation
[edit]Hello. In a recent edit to the page James Bond, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Canterbury Tail talk 16:43, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Doctorstrange617. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Doctorstrange617|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Amigao (talk) 21:36, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- This is not the case, and I would encourage you to asses the hundreds and hundreds of edits that I have made over the years on their merits, in good faith. We don't need to be adversaries, and there is no need for such accusations... Doctorstrange617 (talk) 22:09, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Dominic Ng, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. It is recommended that you also review WP:NNC. Amigao (talk) 22:23, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- The template removal was actually inadvertent, so apologies for that. However, the other editing was justified and I always share reasons for my edits Doctorstrange617 (talk) 23:39, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Dominic Ng, you may be blocked from editing. Please also see WP:NNC. Amigao (talk) 00:47, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- How am I being disruptive? Please stop riddling my talk page with these tags and just talk to me like a normal human being. All of my recent editing to that page is in line with the RFC discussion from January, and it seems like you're just intent on bringing negativity to that page. Let's be civil about this Doctorstrange617 (talk) 11:57, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit]This edit did not fix any grammar at all. Please familiarize yourself with the Wikipedia manual of style, especially the section at MOS:LQ. Placement of quote marks in relation to commas and periods is not a matter of grammar, but style, and Wikipedia uses a particular style, one that avoids putting anything insure the quote marks that was not in the original quoted material. Your edits were in error and have been reverted. oknazevad (talk) 18:51, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

[edit]In this edit, you cited a medical article called Are clinical tests useful for the diagnosis of lower extremity stress fractures?
for where London Breed lives. Since the source is unrelated to the claim, I've reverted it. Leijurv (talk) 17:30, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, thank you. It wasn't supposed to be that source, but appreciate your help. Doctorstrange617 (talk) 18:31, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
