PVVPVV (disambiguation) – Per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT, the abbreviation primarily refers to the Dutch politcal party Party for Freedom, and should redirect to it as such. Zinderboff(talk) 05:26, 11 November 2024 (UTC)— Relisting. Toadspike [Talk] 13:45, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is amusing, recently we had a move of ATM because it matched a commonplace financial meaning, but here we'd move PVV despite its commonplace financial meaning. --Joy (talk) 09:05, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Joy, is this a support? Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 18:43, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm not willing to support this because I don't like the idea of such general inconsistency.
Per WP:DPT, we can look at WikiNav for PVV and it says in October there were 342 views, and we could identify 212 clickstreams to the proposed primary topic, while 133 clicks were filtered. So ~62% viewers went there, which I don't think is strong enough for primary topic by usage, though it is in the borderline territory. (Also possibly some more went there from the filtered section, though it seems less likely that anonymization affects the top item.)
At the same time, 342+212=345, which is not a situation we often have - that means at least some viewers might have clicked, then went back and clicked again, which can be an indication that something was wrong in navigation up to that point.
All-time monthly page views indicate spikes in the last year, though not recently. Could the spikes be matching election times in the Netherlands?
A Google Books search does show a significant presence of the political party for me, too. It would be good to have someone analyze long-term significance of all the items in the list before we just go with the most popular option. --Joy (talk) 19:55, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We can't tell from [1] how well the finance meaning of PVV compares because we didn't have a topical redirect until I added it just now. Technically we also can't compare the overall traffic for the Party for Freedom to the overall traffic for the finance topic, either. --Joy (talk) 09:45, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
