Coordinators' working group
Hi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators.
All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot (Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 05:24, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Rebeka Kim for deletion. Kolindigo (talk) 13:09, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
I have nominated Lee Dong-Won (figure skater) for deletion. Kolindigo (talk) 19:25, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
I couldn't find evidence of notability on the Google archives/books/scholar links, but you guys might feel the championships do it. Btw, you can get automatic notice of proposed deletions through WP:Article alerts. - Dank (push to talk) 22:05, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- McNab is a novice-level figure skater. According to this WikiProject's notability guidelines, she's not notable. Kolindigo (talk) 23:24, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. Any objection to letting the proposed deletion run a bit to see if there's been some significant mention in independent sources, or would you rather I go ahead and speedy it? - Dank (push to talk) 23:50, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Descriptions of jumps
On TV, I've never been able to discern the difference between a toe, a salchow, an Axel, etc. So I read the wiki descriptions of the six different kinds of jumps and I still cannot picture them at all. The descriptions are written for readers who already know what they are. Can somebody please, please write something - perhaps including links to videos - that clearly indicates to a non-skater just how each different jump is performed step-by-step and how a viewer of a competition can distinguish one from another. Thanks. Sbowers3 (talk) 02:51, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Tarasova and Gorelik
My friend (Luu) noticed that both Tatiana Tarasova and Aleksandr Gorelik articles name Gorelik as Tarasova's first partner, which isn't true. Her first parner was Aleksandr Tikhomirov (Александр Константинович Тихомиров), while Gorelik at 1964 European Championships competed with Tatiana Sharanova (Татьяна Шаранова). -- deerstop. 19:24, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- As for the sources, Tarasova states herself that Tikhomirov was her first partner in the book Chetyrie Vremeni Goda (1985): "мой первый партнер Александр Тихомиров" - "my first partner Aleksandr Tikhomirov". [1] -- deerstop. 17:37, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I see that noone cares about Tarasova, so I'll go ahead and be bold. :) -- deerstop. 19:25, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

GAN backlog reduction - Sports and recreation
As you may know, we currently have 400 good article nominations, with a large number of them being in the sports and recreation section. As such, the waiting time for this is especially long, much longer than it should be. As a result of this, I am asking each sports-related WikiProject to review two or three of these nominations. If this is abided by, then the backlog should be cleared quite quickly. Some projects nominate a lot but don't review, or vice-versa, and following this should help to provide a balance and make the waiting time much smaller so that our articles can actually get reviewed!
