Changes to bot - June 2024
[edit]Morning,
I'm seeking to make a few minor changes to the bot - these have been discussed to an extent at Wikipedia:Bot_requests#User:RetractionBot, v2, and on the bots talk page, however I wanted to add these to the approval just so they are logged, given the original scope was somewhat narrow.
- Change in code location - now at [1]
- Changing datasource to be retraction watch, see CrossRef Article
- Add support for {{Erratum}} and {{Expression of concern}} - these use exactly the same format/structure as the {{Retracted}}, so needed minimal code changes.
I believe these are all minor, uncontroversial changes, however wanted to note here and make sure this was not going to be an issue. Regards, Mdann52 (talk) 17:20, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ping TheSandDoctor per original approval, and Headbomb as BAG member who is farmiliar with edits to date. Mdann52 (talk) 17:27, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- All fine by me, but I'm the requester, so I'll let another BAG member thumbs up this. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 17:29, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Samwalton9 and Mdann52: go ahead. TheSandDoctor Talk 20:34, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
