Myra Williamson is a New Zealand politician, representing the New Zealand Labour Party as a Member of Parliament since the 2023 New Zealand general election.
Early life and career
[edit]Williamson was born and raised in Hamilton West.[1]
She was a member of the Waikato Public Law and Policy Research Unit at the University of Waikato.[2] While working at Waikato University's law faculty she was granted a Borrin Foundation Travel & Learning Award which she used to complete a Women's Leadership Development Programme at the Saïd Business School of Oxford University. Afterwards she became a legal advisor at the Waikato District Council.[3]

Williamson was selected by the Labour Party to contest the Hamilton West electorate at the 2023 election.[3] She was 62nd on the party list.
