There are sports fans and then there are sports fans. A wikipedia sports fan will inevitably edit the content of their favorite team. Manchester United FC has the distinct privilege of having a veteran superfan that has been nurturing the team article for two decades (since April of 2006). This weeks awardee, PeeJay (talk · contribs · count · logs), consistently and diligently contributes and protects and updates not only Man U's article but many many other English Football clubs and soccer related topics, as well as American Football teams. Conversations and discussions are always better when they are involved. Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 20:59, 26 November 2024 (UTC). Seconded by Hey man im josh.[reply]

Although Mb2437 (talk · contribs · count · logs) became a Wikipedia editor back in 2022, his participation accelerated in September of 2024. As a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Formula One, his focus has been on improving basic career facts for numerous racing car drivers at many various levels such as Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and the Karting European Championship. He wrote the leads and infoboxes for 85 Formula One drivers and added information to another 131 articles. With almost 80% of his edits to mainspace, he displays the qualities that earn this Award. If you are looking for a list of Cinematographers with vast references for each, go to Rusted AutoParts (talk · contribs · count · logs) home page. How about the last NHL game played by a hockey player? Same place. Various lists, by year and month, following Notability in the English Wikipedia, of the deaths of notable people that have occurred from the last decade to the present? Same. This editor has worked diligently since joining Wikipedia in 2006 by selecting a mixture of diverse subject matter. With over 130000 edits and almost 80% to mainspace he exemplifies a long term career commitment to a project he obviously enjoys! Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 17:07, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mindmatrix (talk · contribs · count · logs) is a self described audidactic meaning he is self-taught. With a steady edit history since 2005, he has created 648 pages basically focussed on his effort to improve Canada related info. The article Canadian Dental Care Plan is a good example. Additional work on many science, technology and cultural articles is also prevalent. With over 189000 edits and a whopping 80% to mainspace, his two decade-long career is praiseworthy. Articles and sections about how something appears in popular culture have always been a unencyclopedic mess of indiscriminate listings. That is beginning to change, thanks to TompaDompa (talk · contribs · count · logs). With their many good and featured articles and their over 40000 edits with an impressive 78% in mainspace, TompaDompa has massively improved our coverage of the topic area. Some of their best improvements include Mars in fiction, Venus in fiction, and Sun in fiction, all FAs. TompaDompa has had a very large impact on our science fiction coverage, and they deserve recognition. QuicoleJR (talk) 19:20, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded. Also an industrious, insightful and up front reviewer who is of great benefit to the FAC process. Gog the Mild (talk) 19:28, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support! I've always found their work to be impressive. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 20:49, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Vacant0 (talk · contribs · count · logs) for contributing massively to the Wikipedian coverage of Serbian politics. Since 2020, they have gotten 20 articles related to Serbian politics (such as 2022 Serbian general election and National Gathering (Serbia)) to good article status, with more as current nominees. Thanks to their focused contributions Wikipedia has amazing and informative coverage of Serbian government and politics. History6042 (talk) 20:13, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded. Vacant0 is a great contributor and deserves this award. QuicoleJR (talk) 20:17, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

High-quality content creation is very important. So is friendliness and a good sense of humor. Panini! (talk · contribs · count · logs) is one of our best contributors in both regards. On the content creation side, Panini! has 3 Featured Articles, a Featured List, and 20 good articles. An entire Good Topic for the Paper Mario series exists because of him. He has also created several new articles. On the social side of things, he created a guestbook scavenger hunt and an elaborate multi-page story about purchasing Wikipedia. He also adds a bit of humor and fun to nearly any discussion he is part of. Panini! is one of our best contributors, and he deserves this award. QuicoleJR (talk) 17:34, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As said, a high quality content creator, and also a helpful reviewer at both FAC and GAN. Would be a worthy recipient. Gog the Mild (talk) 18:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The more technical and scientific areas of the site often suffer from neglect and a lack of experts, so the experts we can get on board are extremely helpful. One of those experts is GeogSage (talk · contribs · count · logs), a geographer that has noticeably improved our information gathering by writing 34 brand-new articles and having the commitment to resolve major gaps in our coverage of Geography. They are also a very helpful part of the Vital Articles project. GeogSage has made significant impact on Wikipedia's study of lands, features and inhabitants and they deserve this award. QuicoleJR (talk) 14:55, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Support: anyone willing to wade into the bramble-bushes of Vital Articles has my respect. UndercoverClassicist T·C 19:46, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
