Wikipedia:Meetup/Charleston Syllabus
Introduction
[edit]This page is a meetup for the edit-a-thon about the Charleston Syllabus occurring on June 22nd (and ongoing) at West Virginia University Libraries. This event is hosted by Kelly Doyle, WVU Libraries Wikipedian in Residence for Gender Equity. This event is meant to bring awareness to the Charleston Syllabus itself and to the one year anniversary of the Charleston church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. Additionally, WVU's Campus Read text for 2016-2016 is Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson. This text encourages readers to question the racial implications of the justice system in the United States.
