Home Lander (talk) 01:44, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Home Lander: Actually, it's not that simple. My suspicions were raised by the tripping of the "RR vandalism" filter, which looks like an LTA filter, but I can find no documentation of an RR vandal anywhere at LTA. As for the two accounts, because I wasn't sure whether this was an LTA, I reported the two accounts to Bbb23 and asked for further advice. He ran Checkuser, confirmed the two accounts are connected (which we really already knew), and indeffed them both, saying he has no comment with respect to whether this is an LTA. Since this user never violated the sockpuppetry policy (possessing two accounts is not banned, provided you don't attempt to give the appearance of being multiple people, which this user never did), that was probably overkill. Not that I'll shed any tears or anything. Anyway, now I'm left with the fact that this edit looks good, but I'm not sure what the filter was actually designed prevent, so I'm not sure whether to make it for them. Can I get advice from Oshwah, Xaosflux, MusikAnimal, and/or Crow? —Compassionate727 (T·C) 02:28, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

- @Xaosflux: Did I actually name the user or provide a more detailed description of the filter anywhere? I thought I was careful not to do that... —Compassionate727 (T·C) 02:13, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Compassionate727: I was just explaining that "RR" was not the name of a banned user, it is something else. — xaosflux Talk 02:15, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- I see. The reason I thought it was because "RR vandalism" reminded me of "Fuerdai vandal", which is an LTA. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 02:22, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

- The filter was named "RR vandalism" probably because we thought it was an LTA at first, so we intentionally went with something vague. I've renamed it to "Ryan Ross vandalism" and made the filter public (just like the Harambe filter) — MusikAnimal talk 20:21, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

- I tried to replace the words "trans-exclusionary" with "gender-critical". According to Nina Paley, she identifies as a gender-critical radical feminist and says so in the reference cited. (#40) I also tried to insert the words "with penises" after "trans women" because Paley has stated that trans women with penises are male. This is noted in the reference #41. So the person who originally cited these references is misquoting / misrepresenting Nina Paley's position.

- Description
- This article says nothing about these:
When and where Adm. Denton went to flight school to become a naval aviator,
When and where he earned his wings, served as a squadron commander, etc.
How he ever became an admiral in the navy, as a naval aviator, without ever serving as the Commander of an Air Group (on an aircraft carrier), or the Commander of a Naval Air Station, or as the captain of any ship (such as a supply ship), or as the Executive Officer of an aircraft carrier, or as the Captain of an Aircraft Carrier. These are the necessities for promotion to flag rank.
In fact, Denton was in a P.O.W. camp for eight years, and he was promoted routinely just on his time in service and time in rank, and not for any service in positions of high command responsibility, such as being the captain of an aircraft carrier or the commander of a naval air station. He never won the Legion of Merit, which is a citation for service in commands of high responsibility.

@Plebs Tribune: To prevent disambiguation pages from becoming lists of every unimportant thing by a certain name in existence, the threshold for inclusion in a dab page is usually having an article of its own. I tried to add this to the talk page on hebephilia but it was automatically rejected.
Can we add a section about the evolutionary adaptiveness of hebephilia? The CAMH team have a very limited understanding of evolution and anthropology and fail to understand how adaptive it would have been for ancestral men to prefer pubescent girls over adult women.
In primitive foraging societies it's common practice for men to marry and have sex with pubescent girls. It's often claimed that although men in these societies marry young girls these marriages aren't consummated until the girls have completed puberty and they're about 16 or something but this is mostly just PC crap. The most common age girls are married in these societies is about 14 and it's common for men to have sex with girls as young as 12.
Napoleon Chagnon who studied the Yanomamo tribe reported that when girls get to about 12 and have grown breasts all the men in the tribe notice and the girls have to be guarded by their dads or husbands to prevent them getting raped or abducted by raiders. If a girl of this age hasn't got any male protectors she'll be continually sexually harassed and raped by the men and teenage boys. The anthropologist Kenneth Good had similar experiences with the Yanomamo. Good married a prepubertal girl and when she got to about 12 and was displaying breasts he had to guard her from the other men. On one occasion he angrily warned all the men to not touch her while he was away for a few months. They weren't going to wait until she was 16 or 18, she'd come up to puberty and had a pair of boobs so she was good to go in their eyes.
Blanchard actually spoke about this guarding of pubescent girls in one of his papers and tried to use it as evidence that hebephilic preferences are abnormal which makes no sense. The fact pubescent girls in these societies have to be closely guarded just demonstrates how sought after they are by the men and is actually evidence for the normality of hebephilic preferences.
This is nothing unique to the Yanomamo, the same thing happens in other Amazonian tribes such as the Aché, Pumé, Zoé, Kalapalo, and more. It was also observed in the Australian aborginal and Native American tribes before they were destroyed.
We may not approve of these practices in modern societies but they are simply part of the natural human mating system. Girls come up to puberty, sprout breasts to signal that they're approaching reproductive age and ready to start mating, the men then find them attractive, want to have sex with them, and fight each other to win possession of them. Once the girls start reproducing and start using up their reproductive capacity (usually by the late teens) the men start losing interest in them. The girls most sought after by the men are those that have come up to puberty and are ready to start mating but haven't yet started reproducing, which is generally girls about 12-16. Hebephilic and ephebophilic preferences are very natural for men and should not be considered abnormal. The reason they often are is I think a combination of modern taboos over sex with minors and a simple lack of understanding of how the natural human mating system works.
@PhilAdley: I know what caused this. I'm not allowed to tell you, because the filter is hidden, but the filter is working as intended. Anyway, I've added the content for you. I should warn you that the area you walking into (Pedophilia and Hebephilia) is a hornets' nest on Wikipedia. Regards, —Compassionate727 (T·C) 01:24, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

- Description
- I want to edit my last reply to this but it's automatically rejected.
- Ridiculous claims? Really? Please learn some anthropology.
- The evolutionary adaptiveness debate is already addressed in the article.
- "Blanchard cited recent research he had conducted regarding the alleged reproductive success of hebephiles, pedophiles and teleiophiles (individuals attracted primarily or exclusively to adults). The results indicated that teleiophiles had more children, and thus more adaptive success than hebephiles, while hebephiles had more success than pedophiles. From this, Blanchard concluded that "there is no empirical basis for the hypothesis that hebephilia was associated with increased reproductive success in the environment of evolutionary adaptedness. That speculative adaptationist argument against the inclusion of hebephilia in the DSM cannot be sustained."
- Oh, this is laughable. I don't think any serious person expects hebephilic preferences to be adaptive in modern societies. The issue is whether they were adaptive during our recent evolutionary history when we lived in small bands and teen pregnancy was the norm. The answer to that is a clear yes. Girls were typically claimed around puberty so men who didn't find pubescent girls highly attractive and weren't motivated to pursue and compete for them would have lost out to men who did. Filter is working as intended - you did not include a source, which is mandatory for this type of BLP content, and regardless, as the Nathaniel doesn't have an article on Wikipedia, and is unlikely to have an article on Wikipedia any time soon, he should not even be listed on that page. In this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chota the word Chota is also a slang in some countries (Argentina for example) for penis. The system is preventing me from adding this information.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.216.73.66 (talk)

- Frederick Trump (filter log)
- Description
- corrected "born as" surname to Drumpf. Added the category in which he immigrated as it is politically relevant to today's vernacular. Added the date of immigration. Explained reason for the name change from "Drumpf" to the Americanized version of "Trump."
Frederick Trump (born Friedrich Drumpf; 14 March 1869 – 30 May 1918) was a German-American businessman and the patriarch of the Trump family. Born in Kallstadt, in the Kingdom of Bavaria (now in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), he immigrated as an "undocumented alien child" to the United States at the age of 16, in 1885, and started working as a barber. Several years later, in 1891, he moved to the Northwest and "Americanized" his name from "Drumpf" to "Trump" due to anti-German hostilities. [empty ref tags removed]

- Comments
- Not done @Wodaji: The "Drumpf" name is already covered in the Frederick Trump#Surname section and has been discussed extensively on the talk page. The "undocumented alien child" claim would need to be cited to a reliable source. The article currently mentions his "immigration records", but if you think that's a mistake, you can bring it up (along with your sources) at Talk:Frederick Trump.
