- The bottom of the page contained [[Category:1914 births]][[Category:2005 deaths]][[Category:Armenian people]], and you removed that. Also, you're not supposed to put external links in articles, per WP:EL, and the information you were removing is actually fine for the article. Jackmcbarn (talk) 23:03, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

- Point out silliness in the definitions of discourse and there by rhetoric, Sourcing a 90s, Hard back, Merriam Webster as evidence and more jokingly implicating some big brotherly activity with your definitions. (who else would care)
- Date and time

- Comments
The definitions of discourse and there by rhetoric keep changing (rhetoric = the art of discourse, you line up with that ATM),
rhetoric (countable and uncountable, plural rhetorics)
Modern
"The art of using language, especially public speaking, as a means to persuade."
Classical
"Meaningless language with an exaggerated style intended to impress."
example, It’s only so much rhetoric.
Can we see both definitions represented equally in both places, links between discourse and discord highlighted and hot links to the rhetoricians that speak on discourse and rhetoric as they are not just relevant to the topic but components of its evolution, note modern "empty rhetoric" is now what classic "rhetoric" was and among logos, pathos, ethos, only logos is not "empty rhetoric" by current definition so not only is the classic closer to true the first use of "empty" would have been redundant, more so the roots (dis- away currere- run) seems closer to run away then to run too and fro but both stand to imply red hairing or other logical fallacies designed to distract from the point rather than addressing it, given the historical backing and obvious motives for a change in definition away from the classic anything short of equal representation of the above definitions will be implicating "some big brotherly activity" with your definitions. no jokes, sovos
fix it...

- YouTube videos tend to bring copyright problems. If you can provide evidence that the posting of the video on YouTube is authorized by the copyright owner of the musical work and the copyright owner of the video, then try finding an unrelated subject area that interests you and edit there for a few weeks first to establish that you understand policy, and it might let you through. - Description
- The conversation was clearly between two people on the same team to spread misinformation. A "good cop-bad cop"
routine where the bad cop pretends to be racist. Then the good cop pretends to be a member of the NGE using word like "believe" (which we don't use) and saying Malcolm X left the NOI and joined the Nation of Gods and Earths because he disagreed with what Elijah Muhammad taught. That's inaccurate historically and only meant to confuse. As NGE that is not allowed, and followed by a serious penalty.

- You have a blatant conflict of interest. You shouldn't write the Wikipedia article for a book you wrote. Also, were you to save the page, it would likely be speedily deleted for lack of notability and/or being overly promotional. Instead, you should post at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Arts and entertainment/Literature/Books requesting it be created. If you insist on trying to write it yourself, which will likely not be successful, you should do so with the Articles for Creation process, rather than trying to create it in article space immediately. - The broken link is the last of the External Links, "Rebuilding the Internet Without Censorship". What is the best practice for replacing broken links with alternative copies of the referent of the broken link? Archive.is was the first match, and there is no Google `cache:` available for the URL. Quinncom (talk) 18:59, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- When external links die, they should just be removed, per WP:ELDEAD. References are a different matter; in general, web.archive.org should be used to save them. Jackmcbarn (talk) 18:35, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Being a jazz composer of note who has taken many prominent teaching positions throughout the United States (including CSU Fullerton and the Frost School of Music in the University of Miami, I decided to edit the page to include this work, as it is promenently in 7/4). - As this page has undergone many edits and removals over the past while I spent the last several hours going through news stations' archives to find what was true, add it, set the record straight, and cite my findings. I felt this was most important because the two major editors going back and forth (myself and MUNSU themselves) are both biased in opposing directions. Rather than putting down what I felt I knew to be true, or removing what I felt was not true, I would state what could be found in third party sources. Though, in retrospect I admit the last criticism, about media censorship wasn't the best journalism and certainly didn't have the best sources. Rather, I had intended to head to the office tomorrow and see if I could dig up some public minutes or other press releases that would more clearly cite the gag-order politics. I intended this to be an ongoing project. If any of this has not been up to par, I apologize for the work I've put on someone else's plate in dealing with my mess.

- You are using Wikipedia from a shared or dynamic IP address. This means that at some point recently you were given an address that was used by a vandal several months ago. It's nothing to worry about - if you don't edit Wikipedia, you can ignore any messages that you receive. They do not impact your ability to browse the site. Also, please do not delete all of the messages a user has received when trying to leave them a new one. Someguy1221 (talk) 07:19, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

- Biography page of Brice S. Bowman (filter log)
- Description
- I was adding importing updates to my Filmography and making my bio more succinct. This was long over due and please allow the changes. I am frustrated how difficult it is to edit a page on wikipedia and because of this would have preferred in the past just to delete my page and asked how to do this but regretfully received email back stating it is not possible for one to delete one's own page. Consequently over time I try to make the page better and more accurate. Please contact me if you need verification from me on anything. Thank you.

What fool put such a filter on an article related to pornography?
- Date and time
- 07:36, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Comments
- Based only on the title of the filter, it appears the filter applies to all articles to prevent pornographic text from being added to non-pornographic articles. If you create an account and improve a couple dozen articles unrelated to erotic film, a lot of the filters will stop affecting you. Another thing you could try is discussing edits on the article's talk page first. --Damian Yerrick (talk) 23:25, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

- Description
- I was attempting to correct (or at least improve) the formatting of the results table; the entries for 100+ were flush against the left edge, pushing them out of the table. I added an extra space at the beginning of every line of the table to correct this.

- Walther P38 (filter log)
- Description
- I was trying to rewrite description of double-action/single-action mechanism of the Walther P38 in the "Design details" section of the page to make it flow better. The original passage seemed a little confusing so I tried to improve it. My edit would have read: "The shooter can chamber a round, use the de-cocking lever to safely lower the hammer without firing the round, and carry the weapon loaded. Pulling the trigger cocks the hammer and fires the first shot with double-action operation. The firing mechanism extracts and ejects the first spent round, cocks the hammer, and chambers a fresh round for single-action operation with each subsequent shot - all features found in many modern-day handguns."

- The filter didn't like your prodigious use of the word "cock". However, since that is actually appropriate in this situation, I have made the edit for you. Someguy1221 (talk) 07:44, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

- Description
- when adding a bash example to support the contents of the wikipage, I used <username> @ <example.com> (but then in regular email format) as an example of how to connect with a user on a certain host via ssh. Furthermore, when trying to add this example to this page I got the same warning that I'm trying to insert an e-mail in this page. Fixed the above example to be allowed on this page.

- Partly for this very reason, the email address filter is set to "warn only". If you think you have hit a false positive, you can simply hit "save page" a second time to bypass the filter. Someguy1221 (talk) 07:40, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

The youtube videos shows that Al Roker admits that he pooped his pants. -->}}
- You failed to actually cite any sources there. There is the additional, encyclopedic question of whether the fact Al pooped his pants is even worth mentioning. If you want to insist on this point, I recommend you use the talk page to seek consensus first. Someguy1221 (talk) 07:42, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

- Foals (filter log)
- Description
- Trying to add details about their forthcoming tour. The specific detail I tried to add was to the end of the 'Holy Fire' section, I appended "Foals have recently announced they will be touring in February 2014, supported by Cage The Elephant and That Fucking Tank".
I suspect it was the use of the 'F' word that triggered this.

- Because you didn't put a space or newline between the categories, the filter didn't recognise them as valid categories, and so (correctly) it tripped. Seems to be fixed now. Black Kite (talk) 11:37, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Filter was repaired before this report based on an examination of the log. I don't quite understand why this was filed, as the reporter was notified of the repair before he filed this, and no false positives occurred afterwards.—Kww(talk) 17:22, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
