CS1 error on Carter George

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Carter George, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 07:03, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Joey Daccord

[edit]

The article Joey Daccord you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Joey Daccord for comments about the article, and Talk:Joey Daccord/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article is eligible to appear in the "Did you know" section of the Main Page, you can nominate it within the next seven days. [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of United States national ice hockey team rosters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Squaw Valley. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Coachella Valley Firebirds

[edit]

(I dunno why im asking this but I'm doing it anyway)

Hello, if possible, can I make a Hershey Bears version of what you did with the 2023-24 Coachella Valley Firebirds season?? 45BearsFan (talk) 21:08, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure! The funny thing is, a actually based my 2022–23 Coachella Valley Firebirds season article off of the 2012–13 Hershey Bears season article, so it’s really coming full circle. The 2012–13 Hershey Bears article is really the one you should be looking at. XR228 (talk) 21:17, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Thanks! 45BearsFan (talk) 21:34, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bruins seasons FL nom

[edit]

Just a note - it seems the bot never added it to the FLC list, so I transcluded it and it's now under review. Someone's already suggested accessibility edits. The Kip (contribs) 03:35, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thanks. XR228 (talk) 03:37, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

List of Boston Bruins seasons

[edit]

This isn't a big issue, but the next time that you make a simple copy edit can you just tag it as that in the edit summary? Deadman137 (talk) 04:10, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I can. XR228 (talk) 04:30, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on List of Seattle Kraken broadcasters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Auto-updated F/GA list

[edit]

Just wondering if the auto-updated list should maybe be moved to a subpage, linked at the top of the old-style list - while the prior format had to be manually updated, it was also a bit more neatly-organized, with articles divided into categories and whatnot rather than just a large list of GAs. If you want, I can try to pilot the edit(s) and we can take a look at how it goes. The Kip (contribs) 19:49, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You do have a point; the former list was organized by teams, seasons, etc., and the JL-bot can't do that. I do feel that having a big list is cluttered. I think we could go with your idea, but we need to force everyone to add their new GAs/FAs/FLs/whatevers to the list when they have them. XR228 (talk) 20:14, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll go ahead and attempt it, will let you know how it goes. The Kip (contribs) 19:27, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Thanks. XR228 (talk) 19:30, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Seems to have worked, turns out @Kaiser matias actually already created a JL-Bot subpage a while back. Either way, I feel like the update's good - I'll take a closer look later, though. The Kip (contribs) 21:06, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. XR228 (talk) 22:39, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: Also, the List of NHL Awards Featured Topic isn't there. You should add something saying "For a complete list of recognized content, check out *link to subpage*" if you haven't already. XR228 (talk) 22:43, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Auto-updated page says the Featured Topic was demoted a while back. The Kip (contribs) 23:18, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Also, can I get your opinion on something unrelated? XR228 (talk) 23:58, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Go right ahead. The Kip (contribs) 01:07, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So, I've been working on a draft for a complete revamp of hockey mountain. I've only made the first part, but do you think it's good/feasible? It's in my sandbox. XR228 (talk) 01:15, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me, and I'm all for expanding the scope beyond HHOF. Getting all 1,000-gamer articles to GA may be slightly difficult, though - not all of them had supremely high-profile careers. The Kip (contribs) 02:46, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
True, hopefully people can figure it out. XR228 (talk) 03:26, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You already have the Hockey Barnstar, so here's another one for the metaphoric mantle, for your tireless and skilled work on hockey articles, and especially for bringing new energy to the WikiProject. This jaded 20-year veteran salutes you! Ravenswing 20:32, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As we can't self-award barnstars, figured I'd do this - you sure as hell deserve it! Great work overhauling/promoting tons of Kraken articles! The Kip (contribs) 09:30, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Main-page FLs

[edit]

Noticed/realized this from glancing at the JLBot-maintained articles page - don't forget to nominate your recently-promoted FLs to WP:TFLS! The VGK draft picks one was featured just a few days ago. The Kip (contribs) 06:41, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@The Kip: Honestly, my goal with the Seattle Kraken task force is to promote articles, but maybe I'll consider it. XR228 (talk) 17:03, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Philipp Grubauer

[edit]

Hey! I will be adding my review of Philipp Grubauer's article shortly. I am just busy IRL but I didn't want you to think I forgot about this. Two quick things I noticed right off the bat, you need a reference for the line Germany qualified for the quarterfinals, although they lost placed sixth and the picture used for the Seattle Kraken section is a bit too dark. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:06, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. No worries. I'll make the changes. XR228 (talk) 20:25, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I am so sorry but I think I have to pull out of doing the A-review. My life has been very busy since I started my PhD and I do not think I can dedicate time right now to doing an in-depth review. I am very sorry for this and best of luck. Hopefully life slows down soon! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:01, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@45BearsFan: Thanks! I see you've noticed my age ;). But to be fair, you're only a few years older than me. Also I've been wanting to tell you this for a while—Bears suck go Firebirds. XR228 (talk) 22:10, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on VGK broadcasters

[edit]

Howdy,

From your FL nom of the Kraken one, you seem to have a much greater aptitude for broadcaster pages - mind taking a look at List of Vegas Golden Knights broadcasters? For various reasons, I'm not the best at keeping up with them. I'm not necessarily looking to get this one to FL, but I'd like it to be functional/competent at the very least. The Kip (contribs) 05:12, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I'll give you an outline:
  • Lead
    • TV people
    • Radio people
    • TV and radio broadcast channels
  • TV
    • TV ratings, TV history, etc.
  • Radio
    • Radio ratings, radio history, affiliate radio stations, etc.
Also, add list of NHL broadcasters to the see also section. And cut down the number of external links; maybe turn them into sources for stuff. XR228 (talk) 05:39, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So yeah just add tables for the different TV/radio broadcasters in their respective sections. XR228 (talk) 06:13, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And prose to the lead. XR228 (talk) 20:16, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
