Double List
Hello Editor, the List of Padma Shri award recipients (2020-2029) (created 2019) was already in existence and your list has the same name - List of Padma Shri award recipients (2020–2029) - a particularly strange occurrence, could be a software glitch. I am removing your list from the Padma Shri page and adding the first one as it is more prepared. I am actively working on the list; do join me there. Csgir (talk) 04:58, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- Same issue with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Padma_Bhushan_award_recipients_(2020-2029) (created 2019) and the new one - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Padma_Bhushan_award_recipients_(2020–2029) Csgir (talk) 07:42, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Csgir: It is not a software glitch. There is a difference of - and –. Per WP:MOS:DATERANGE, A simple year–year range is written using an en dash (
–
or{{ndash}}
) not an em dash, hyphen, or slash. So, the originally created articles have correct titles. Please shift the content accordingly and use the newly created by you as a redirect to these articles. Let me know if you need any help. - Vivvt (Talk) 07:59, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Suggestion needed for a number of Decorations & Medals of India Articles
Hi Vivvt,
I am a fairly new user. I came across the fact that you are a major contributor in number of Indian order and medals articles and lists and helped them achieve featured or good status. I would greatly appreciate your input in the following matters:
- Arjuna award is the only sports award article without much prose and poorly maintained lists. 899 individuals have been given the award from 1961 to 2020. Do you suggest creating a single comprehensive sort-able list like Padma Vibhushan or going Pamda Bhushan route with 7 decade-wise lists, with 6 of them containing roughly 150 awardees and 2020-29 list having 27 awardees
- I think its better to split it decade-wise.
- Any info relating to Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards: Sports ministry has number of times reiterated it to be on par with Arjuna awards. However no article or list exists on WP. It started in 1993 with roughly 4 to 6 receipts each year (except maybe for starting year when there were 23 awardees & 2017-10 awardees). The data collection fact is exacerbated by the fact that no central list of awardees exist, particularly names of awardees pre-2002. If you have sources, links - kindly guide me to them
- No. I dont have any sources for it as of now.
- Any guidance to what to add to Padma Shri and its list to bring on par with other Padma awards?
- Padma Shri has to go a long way I believe. Major concern that was raised during initial Padma Bhushan lists is that there are lot many red links. If the award is so significant, then all of its recipients were expected to have a wiki page. With more than 90 awards given per year, there are still many red links. This needs to be addressed which itself will take quite some time. Also, there are huge numbers of refusals, returns, and controversies related to PS especially. I have been collecting such details for very long time but its still incomplete as most of the details for older lists is still unavailable. Without adding these two things to the lists, it would not be comprehensive. Once we can find these details, I guess FL would be a very easy task.
- General guidance on whether possible and if so what steps to be taken to bring these and its lists to FL/GA status - Padma Shri, Arjuna Award, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, Dronacharya Award, Dhyan Chand Award?
- Except Shanti Swarup Awards, other lists are not ready and will take huge efforts to make them comprehensive.
- Over the last few days, I completely rewrote and expanded 45 times from its initial size List of Indian chess players. What improvements do you suggest I make to it, is it possible to take such a list to FL status?

- @Roller26: I will take a look at this list sometime later. - Vivvt (Talk) 21:03, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
