Orphaned non-free image File:Vanamohini1941.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Vanamohini1941.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 23:42, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Stefan2: Isn't this one PD-India? —Vensatry (ping) 06:50, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
- It's not PD-US, as indicated on the file information page. Wikipedia only cares about whether something is PD-US or not. As the file isn't PD-US, it is an unfree file. I'm not sure whether it is PD-India or not. A poster for a film is not a "work of cinema", so the term might be life+60 years in India, per the rules for artistic works. Of course, some posters might be anonymous works. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:13, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Vanamohini1941.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Vanamohini1941.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 09:54, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Hey, still up on the offer to work on Rai's biography? If so, how do we go about it? -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 07:18, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- The article looks nearly comprehensive to me. What we really need at this stage is a little bit of expansion and some copy-edits to improve the prose. Let me know if we can work towards nominating the article directly for FAC. —Vensatry (ping) 18:05, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- I feel it still needs a fair bit of work. I'll start working on it shortly and maybe you can then see how else it can be improved. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 02:53, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Reliable Sources
Hello. I noticed you removed several thousands of characters from List of Cricket World Cup centuries which were citations and references claiming they were not reliable sources. On each and every cricket page of the cricket portal, ESPNcricinfo and Cricbuzz is used for reference and they are reliable sources. Correct me if I am mistaken. Regards.--Kashish Arora (talk) 11:10, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- I did not remove any content from the article. "Cricbuzz" doesn't come under WP:RS. So either use ESPNcricinfo or CricketArchive while contributing to cricket-related articles. —Vensatry (ping) 11:20, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Alright, but why did you remove the citations and ended up in writing mere links? That is a hard work by many people including me writing the publisher, accessdate, title and all. This is what I am talking about.--Kashish Arora (talk) 11:26, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- I removed those cricbuzz citations as it doesn't qualify WP:RS. Secondly, there is a tool to format the references, and you could see that I've used it in the same article. You should understand that everything cannot be done in a single edit. —Vensatry (ping) 16:04, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Hope you're well. I wonder if you could provide me some assistance. This article for a Tamil film releasing tomorrow is up for deletion. I wonder if you could clean up/expand this article to stop its deletion. It probably only needs a start class article. I may be troubling you severely with many issues since the past few weeks but all of them were unintentional. I want your help in this particular issue. I want to upload the free image of Rashi Khanna available here. But i don't know how to proceed. I approached Kailash29792 for help and his response was — "Though I've never uploaded an image from Bollywood Hungama, there's one advice I can give you: copy the syntax of another BH file on Commons". Can you help me in uploading it? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:09, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

A small query. Allu Arjun's image has been deleted on commons on the grounds of copy vio and now, i have two options of same method. One image is from Behindwoods and the same source in the past issued a declaration of consent for Karthi. The other is from Indiaglitz. Both will be used after cropping. My issue is, can i get the email ids of those websites to request permission for usage of the file. If it is successful, the image of N. T. Rama Rao Jr. can be uploaded. Please help me in this matter bu giving me their ids, the templates to request permission and the ones to declare consent (so that i can send them too for the perfect way of replying). 2015 World Cup
Hi Vensatry. I realized that you are a cricket fan, so I came to share my views with you. I am disturbed that India lost to Australia. What are your views on this match.
Thank you, Maheshreddy2 (talk) 09:00, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- The Indians are not to blame. It is the Aussies who chose to bat first that led us to our disadvantage. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:12, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- A bit of over-confidence I'd say. Chasing 300 plus under flood lights in Australian wickets is not an easy task. Had India faced a similar situation earlier in this tournament, it would've surely lost. —Vensatry (ping) 15:40, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- In the last four months, India have played four Tests and three ODIs against Australia. India didn't win any of them. It might be worth considering that right now, in Australian conditions on Australian conditions, Australia are simply a better team than India. Harrias talk 16:05, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Harrias: I can also remember that we lost against England in the tri-series. Prior to the tournament, nobody would've expected India to reach the semis. I think it's still a good tournament us. :) And on sunday, I want the kiwis to win. What say? —Vensatry (ping) 16:13, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was surprised with how well India did in the tournament. But in recent years they have upped their game for the big tournaments. I think they should be proud of getting to the semis, but not be too downhearted with losing to a strong Australian team. I will also be cheering NZ for the final, and I think with their bowlers, they have a good chance too! Harrias talk 19:01, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- But sadly that's not the case here in India. Media sucks big time here (#ShameOnTimesNow). As for NZ, yes they look very composed, and I'll not be too surprised if they win this time. But since the final is going to be played at Australia, anything can happen. —Vensatry (ping) 06:46, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
