Hello Timmyshin,
Waring:
User has been warned not to WP:CONTENTFORK when there is no justification to do so; the information already exists at Yongzheng Emperor#Yinzhen's quote. Yinzhen = Yongzheng Emperor in case people don't know. Timmyshin (talk) 10:50, 5 March 2018 (UTC). I understand that the article is in violation of wikipedia's contentforking policy. I tried to rename the article and link it to "Yongzheng Emperor" under the subsection "Yongzheng Emperor#Yinzhen's quote," but it would not allow me to do so. I receive an error message saying "You do not have permission." How do I resolve this matter and not to have my article declined and deleted again? If the username contains character unrecognizable to the software, preventing user to redirect the page, then could you reassign a username? It was not able to change my username after I created the account. Thanks.

Hi Timmyshin, FYI I have been working on the article for Golden Lotus (musical) and found many sources that were not previously used in that article. The article is now up for review for reposting. While working on the article I found sources for the articles for George Chiang and The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing and intend to work on those as well to justify general notabilityJohn99Wick (talk) 13:19, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey. In July 2016, you created a stub page for the town of Yingzhou in Hejian, Cangzhou, Hebei. The town was officially disestablished at the end of 2016 by 冀民函【2016】275号. I made some edits to that page and to the Hejian page; please let me know if you are satisfied with the changes. Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:16, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, I moved it to Yingzhoulu Subdistrict to match the zh.wiki article. Timmyshin (talk) 02:55, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
I have made some changes to the Yongchang County, Zhelaizhai & Liqian pages, the ones about the Roman soldiers in western China. Let me know what you think of the edits so far, and please make some edits if you are interested. 有一个网站说者来寨和现代骊靬村是一个东西 ,但我最后还是搞不明白是不是这个样子,求助Geographyinitiative (talk) 13:04, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Mothershappiness.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mothershappiness.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 19:12, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

- (talk page stalker) @ShakespeareFan00: I've removed the deletion tags for the two images because they are PD. Timmyshin, please consider transferring them to the Commons and uploading old film screenshots there in the future. In China and Taiwan, photographs and cinematographic works enter public domain 50 years after publication. -Zanhe (talk) 22:14, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Incense (film) added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. Gao Bo listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Gao Bo. Since you had some involvement with the Gao Bo redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 22:06, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

Hello.
In your article Jing (Chinese opera) you make a reference to "Wichmann, Elizabeth (1991) p.12"... Which book or article or whatever is it from?
Thanks. --Hienafant (talk) 18:46, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

- Hi, thanks for catching these bloopers. I don't have these books; I copied and pasted these paragraphs from the article Peking opera because I believe they deserve independent articles. Timmyshin (talk) 20:03, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Li Wei
Hi Timmyshin, thanks for moving Li Wei (PRC politician), you're right that my original title was imprecise. However, having done some disambiguating on Li Wei, I've realized that we probably are going to have to be more specific still. There are at least two or three other relatively prominent PRC politicians named Li Wei who will probably need articles in the future (see my recent edit history for examples). Would it make sense to just name the article Li Wei (born 1958) in preparation for this? --Danaman5 (talk) 14:34, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
- User:Danaman5, that would be a good idea if you know the birth years of the other PRC politicians. However, I believe the correct naming practice is Li Wei (politician, born 1958), per WP:NCPDAB. (I know many other articles on Chinese politicians simply use the (born 19XX) format, and I honestly don't care that much, but I'm just telling you what in my opinion is correct. We don't know the year of birth for Li Wei (linguist) but he most likely was born in the 1950s. Timmyshin (talk) 18:41, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
Follow-up on page moves
You moved these two pages:
- Qiao Zhang (architect) -> Qiao Zhang (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
- Zhou Shimiao (architect) -> Zhou Shimiao (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
However, it may have escaped your notice that both of these pages are currently at AfD:
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Qiao Zhang (architect)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zhou Shimiao (architect)
Will you also take care of modifying the AfD discussion pages to reflect the moves, along with the AfD listings at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/People, Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Architecture and Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/China? Thanks. General Ization Talk 02:13, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't know how. Timmyshin (talk) 02:46, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- OK, I believe I've taken care of it. Most, but not all of it, was updated automatically by transclusion. May I suggest you not move pages that have active AfDs or other administrative actions pending, as indicated by the template on the page? It can create a mess, since the page identified at the AfD was no longer the actual page nominated for deletion, but the redirect you left behind? General Ization Talk 03:59, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
