Request on 00:22:33, 21 August 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Stagename2020
Hi, you just reviewed my article about Articles of Unity. Thank you so much for taking the time to review it. I wanted to clarify some things to make sure I can resubmit the article and have it accepted.
You said that Twitter, Soundcloud, and Youtube are not considered reliable sources. I was curious if you can clarify some things.
1. The citations "Rising - The Hill TV- Unity 2020 Plan". www.youtube.com. Retrieved 2020-08-19. and "Bret Weinstein Introduces the Unity 2020 Plan on Tucker Carlson Tonight". www.youtube.com. June 29, 2020. are links to videos from mainstream news sources, the Hill TV and Fox News, respectively. Can youtube be considered a reliable source when it is a video of a mainstream news source or do I need to cite this another way?
2. Citations 11-15, including one twitter citation and some of the youtube videos, are links to messages or podcasts where different public figures endorse the Articles of Unity. Are twitter and youtube considered reliable sources in this case or do I need to cite these endorsements another way?
I will make sure to flush it out with more media sources if they arise. Thank you for your help :)

Hey Theroadislong, I know that you must be busy with the work you are doing within and outside of wikipeidia but I just wanted to follow up on my questions in case they got lost among the other questions. Can you please help clarify the questions I had above? Thank You. Stagename2020 (talk) 23:14, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Stagename2020 As commented by another reviewer the draft needs independent sources, far too many of the sources are primary such as Bret's own YouTube channel. You are free to re-submit, I will leave it to another reviewer to look at. Theroadislong (talk) 07:05, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Review of Yasmeen Williams Page
Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestions. I've paired back even further, added some additional sources, and fixed (fingers crossed the external links in the text). I think (hope?) it's in good shape now and I'm going to resubmit!

Question on a comment you made
Hello. So recently you commented on Draft:Elijah Joyce. I would like to discuss it with you. I do not see how you can approve of the deletion on a draft. There is so much more information on Joyce that I am working on adding, but I can't add it all in 7 days. Like in my mind, it is worthless to try to fight a deletion, even when I know he is notable. In a sense, I can't even work to prove he is notable without it being deleted. It is the same as if I went to your most recent draft and started the deletion process a few hours after you started the draft. Can you possibly recant that comment so I can attempt to prove his notability before the deletion process? Thank you. CurrentWeather (talk) 11:00, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- CurrentWeather You can offer the sources you have in the deletion discussion, even if you don't have time to write up the article content they will support. 331dot (talk) 11:02, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- CurrentWeather the discussion takes around 7 days you have plenty of time to provide the sources that establish any notability. Theroadislong (talk) 11:09, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- I understand it takes 7 days, but I am so frustrated. My draft shouldn't be complained at UNLESS I haven't edited it for 6 months. Look at Draft:Poundz. It has almost 0 content but it won't be deleted because they author has 6 months to edit it and make it good. My draft has 7 days to become an amazing article otherwise it is deleted. So stupid why people don't give others a chance. CurrentWeather (talk) 11:13, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- It should take you less than 5 minutes to find sources if he is notable. Theroadislong (talk) 11:29, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Maria Mallaband
Hi
you have just messaged me as i am trying to update our Company profile. I am unsure how to do this as it is factually incorrect and is showing an old logo. There is also reference to a tragic incident in 2012. This is really upsetting our residents and staff, that is is published on Wikipedia. Thank you Jackie Hallewell — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackie Hallewell (talk • contribs) 11:37, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn't have profiles, it has articles about notable subjects, if you would like any changes to be made, you will need to discuss this on the article talk page, but the content you want removed is very reliably sourced so is unlikely to be removed. There is no logo showing in the article? Theroadislong (talk) 11:44, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Cedar Point peninsula
All three of you “reviewers” just now proved my point 100%. The Cedar Point peninsula is obviously a verifiable geographic location. Your personal dispute about my lack of formatting knowledge on here, is in no way, whatsoever, applicable to the truth-worthiness of that article. (If the formatting issues were a problem for YOU, then why didn’t you...an EXPERIENCED FORMATTER.....simply expend a few seconds to fix the formatting, rather than kill the whole article????) [Nor did the other two reviewers reasoning for the ‘declining’, take into consideration the actual truth-worthiness of the article, itself. So I give-up attempting to reason with the entirely false reasoning from you (plural) reviewers. ]
- Nobody is doubting that it is a verifiable geographic location, but Wikipedia articles need to be notable and we show they are notable by providing sources which cover the topic with in-depth coverage. Your draft Draft:Cedar Point peninsula (Ohio) had one link which was a passing mention. If you are not prepared to do the work, why are you here? Theroadislong (talk) 16:10, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
That reference indeed mentions Cedar Point pensula IN-DEPTH...(but not if you already prejudiced yourself against my formatting skills). WHERE exactly in wiki’s regulations, does it say that contributors must become fluent in every aspect of Wikipedia, to be able to contribute? (In fact, contributors don’t even need to be ‘members’ to contribute here. Despite your own apparent confusion to the contrary.)
- The link [1] is most definitely not in-depth coverage. Theroadislong (talk) 17:27, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Perhaps instead of you making obviously ill-informed comments....instead, why not simply try using the google-books search-box (for that very book), by using the search term “Cedar Point”. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1009:B16D:882D:C878:174B:40C1:DDD4 (talk) 17:35, 25 August 2020 (UTC) In case you don’t understand how to use the book’s search-box: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=wNMyAQAAMAAJ&q=%E2%80%9CCedar+Point+Pleasure+resort%E2%80%9D&redir_esc=y#v=snippet&q=%E2%80%9CCedar%20point%E2%80%9D&f=false — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1009:B16D:882D:C878:174B:40C1:DDD4 (talk) 17:39, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Article: Centrinian Publishing
Hi,
The article Centrinian Publishing was rejected with the following reason: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.
Can you please what this means please as the company is a book publisher, but there has been no glorification of the company, just the description of what the company does?
Is there something that needs to be done to have it approved?
Draft Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Centrinian_Publishing
- Wikipedia only publishes articles for topics that have received significant coverage in reliable sources your draft has none of these. Theroadislong (talk) 17:39, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Article: Centrinian Publishing
Hi,
Thanks for your response. I'm not sure if I'm replying in the right place, but I just wanted to respond to your message. I'm one of the owners of the company. This is not a paid editing. I created the article so the company can have a page where people can find out more about the company. There is definitely no payment for creating the article. As I stated, there's no glorification of the company, just a simple description of the company and the kind of material we publish. If you see anything that needs to be changed, I'm happy to do so. ( Eldermagus (talk) 18:22, 26 August 2020 (UTC) ).
- That is considered paid editing on Wikipedia and you will need to make the required disclosure on your user page. Wikipedia doesn't host "a page where people can find out more about the company" it has articles about notable topics. Notability of a topic is judged by looking at the depth of coverage in independent, reliable, secondary sources. Theroadislong (talk) 18:40, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
I am not advertising
Hello Theroadislong,
I am Sasi Praneeth Reddy Sadhu, a b.tech persuing student. I want to tell you that I am not advertising in Krishna University page if you think that it is advertising the page of Andhra University and other universities will not have any information. In what kind the text I have added in Krishna University comes under advertising. The text I have added is just the details of the university and also I want to tell you don't think all will advertise in Wikipedia. I am adding details about a Government university which is a non profit university and you are telling that it is advertisement. If you think so, block my account I have no objections because I will edit it, not only it I will add details regarding other universities and colleges in Andhra Pradesh as a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
So, waiting for your response and I will again re edit it. Thank you, Sasi Praneeth Reddy Sadhu (talk)Sasi Praneeth Reddy.SSasi Praneeth Reddy Sadhu (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:45, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Content like “committed to producing high-quality scientific minds with global academics.”, “infrastructure is good with labs, neat classrooms and all essential amenities”, and “This brilliant insignia highlights the equal emphasis laid by Krishna University on Humanities, Life sciences, Science and Technology” is just blatant promotional adverting all sourced the university’s own website, we have no interest in what they say about themselves ONLY what independent say. If you keep on adding inappropriate content you will be blocked. Theroadislong (talk) 15:51, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Sonz Of Thunder UK - Re- review
Good afternoon,
I have taken on board what you said out my draft article on Sonz of Thunder.

- The band would need to pass the criteria at WP:NBAND. Your draft has zero sources. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with them have chosen to publish about them. The article should be limited to a summary of what such independent reliable sources have said about them.
My article declined
I am new in Wikipedia. Where am I doing wrong I become confused. My article on Success Point College has declined again and again how can I fix the issue please guide me. - Please be aware that writing a new article is difficult, and start by reading your first article: You need to show that the college meets Wikipedia's requirements for notability - Wikipedia is only interested in what people unconnected with the college have published about it in reliable places such as major newspapers. Theroadislong (talk) 12:22, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
Please take note of in-use notices and check when they were added (and by whom!). Fair amount of time spent on that to no effect. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 12:24, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

How many independent sources do you need for an article to be published
Hey Theroadislong, I realize that there may not be an exact number, but can you tell me how many independent sources you would like to see for a wikipedia article before it is published? I just want a little guidance on the number of citations that I should add before I attempt to resubmit the article for publication. Thanks and I hope you have a good weekend :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stagename2020 (talk • contribs) 17:46, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

A question on the draft article 'Pomogailo Anatoliy"
Dear Theroadislong, You have added a comment the draft article "Pomogailo Anatoliy". Unfortunately, it has been declined. I have a question - why are the references not enough for Wikipedia? They do show the texts of publications concerning the subject of the article. In addition, the reference to the web-site "math-net.ru", the reference to the web-site of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the reference to the web-site "lifelib.ru" and the reference to the "Intellectual system of the thematic research of the scientometric data" - all of them are the independant and publidhed sources of information in Russia concerning the subject of the article. All these web-sites are the international data bases of the articles and details about their authors. The subject matter of the article is the Soviet and Russian scientist - so, the information about his articles are the main part of the references. I do not understand - why are they not reliable and not enough for Wikipedia? Could ypu please clarify it? So that I could fix the draft of the article. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you!
Kind regards, Rhodium66 (talk) 20:14, 29 August 2020 (UTC)Rhodium66
- Rhodium66 The sources you have included do not demonstrate that the subject meets our guidelines for notability. Normally, this is done by showing that the subject has received sustained in-depth coverage in reliable secondary sources. Theroadislong (talk) 20:31, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi--thanks for checking my Wikipedia edits. I am a novice and counting on the community to help get this right. However, the notability concern is unwarranted. Good Afternoon
Thank so much for the feed you gave me again. I looked at everything you said and added some sources to the article and I have reworded it as well. I also bear in mind what you said about the author of the article and that wiki prefers the author not to be directly related to the Artist.
I am directly related to them. I saw the group perform and I was impressed and really believed they were fantastic artist. at the time I did not realise my brother's Godmother who I knew since I was born was their auntie. some of their relatives knew my mum from London from the church we used to go to. when I met them, took avid interest in their music and started making sure nothing was neglected on the social media but I never knew them personally and I discovered there was no wiki on them so I decided to right a Wikipedia article on them, I have built a rapport with them having discovered I knew some of their family but I am not directly related so there is no biasness in the article
I have re submitted it would it be possible for you to re review it.
Kind regards

- JabrielAtOmoMusicGroup Articles must show with significant coverage in independent reliable sources how the person meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable person or in this case, the definition of a notable musician. Not every person merits an article on Wikipedia. If the person does not have significant coverage in sources, coverage that goes beyond brief mentions, routine announcements, etc. they would not merit an article at this time. You may find it helpful to read Your First Article, successfully writing a new article is the absolute hardest task to perform on Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 12:59, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Edit on "Is Genesis History?"
Hey Theroadislong,
I made the edit on the page because, having just watched the film, they do actually specifically employ the scientific method in their presentation. They merely reach scientific conclusions contrary to other notable scientific works.
- You can discuss this on the article talk page, good luck with that! Theroadislong (talk) 17:17, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Re-submission of Motive Partners Draft Page
Hi Theroadislong,
Hope you are well!
You gave very good feedback on my Motive Partners contribution recently, and I just wanted to say that I have updated the page with a less 'advertorial' language and removed some of the articles so that they are now all written by fully independent journalists. Hope that is helpful and that you can this time approve the page.
Let me know if there are questions regarding the content.

Christopher Tadgell
Hello! Thank you for reviewing the draft of Christopher Tadgell (found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Meredith0209/sandbox). I'd just like to query the notability, as according to WP:NACADEMIC his election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Antiquaries fulfils this requirement? Should I rearrange the info to foreground this? Thank you for any tips! KerstingFan (talk) 12:39, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that being a a fellow of the Royal Society of Antiquaries fulfils that criteria? Theroadislong (talk) 12:49, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for a speedy reply! The bit I was referring to in WP:NACADEMIC notes that an academic is notable if they meet 'any one of the following conditions... (Condition 3) The person has been an elected member of a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society or association or a fellow of a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor'. From the SAL's website, it notes that Fellowship is a competitive election process where excellence in the field is required, which I would interpret as 'highly selective', especially with only 3300 living members https://www.sal.org.uk/our-fellows/becoming-a-fellow/. However I wasn't sure, so I don't know if there's anyone out there who would confirm/ how to confirm the SAL fellowship qualifies. What would you suggest as next step? Thank you! Hermann Gross re-edit
Hi again - after your comments on language neutrality and sticking to "facts" rather than subjecture, could you possibly pass your eyes across a re-written entry to see if this is more along the right lines? It seems pointless to try to publish again if I am going down the wrong road again
Much appreciated

- I'm afraid it does not read like an encyclopedia article it reads more like a book which isn't surprising as the only sources you give are your own books, there is far too much original research and conjecture. Theroadislong (talk) 07:13, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Hermann Gross re-edit
I note the tone comments. Can you give me an example of what/where I need to edit please, as I have read the Wikipedia guidelines, and cannot see where it now violates language guidance. Also the pictures. How does one upload images if not to Wiki commons? eg the pictures of paintings, for example, under Picasso's entry? I have the original photographer copyright agreement, but it would appear you are referring to the actual artist?
NiborJacks (talk) 07:12, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- The photographs of Picasso's work are in the public domain in the United States, this means that they were first published prior to January 1, 1925. Your draft has large amounts of original research, each and every substantive fact requires an inline citation, your draft has just a list of your own books at the end, this is not sufficient. Theroadislong (talk) 07:25, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
As the subject matter has never been studied, I doubt he is going to be able to get any of those citations, as nothing exists. Reviews do, of course, but I dont think you mean that. Would it be better just to limit the entry - for now - to birth / death and what he did ie painter etc??
NiborJacks (talk) 07:35, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's guidelines for notability require that the subject has received sustained in-depth coverage in reliable secondary sources. If reliable sources do not exist, then we can't have an article about him. Theroadislong (talk) 07:46, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Regarding your review/decline of my article; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Clicks_hair_controversy This information is being updated in many different articles at the same time, with some articles being more up to date than others.

Walter Feldman artist
With all due respect, this artist is way more notable than many you have written about. Famed art critic More Ashton called Feldman one of the most significant new modernist artist in a 1950s review (I just can't find the original Art Digest citation because they went out of business long ago). But that is OK Wikipedia's loss and I'll stop donating or contributing.ArtResearcher1955 (talk) 13:35, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible to get inappropriate articles by us, and the fact that they exist does not mean yours can exist too. I have reached a consensus with the Wikipedia company and Wikimedia Foundation to remove the misleading part from the article.
The misleading part of the article demeaned my loved one's image. People misunderstood my loved one due to the misleading information in the misleading part.
