RE: Casualty (Marcus Fidel)
[edit]Hi Soaper1234, hope your well.
Just to clarify that Marcus' last appearance was just under a month ago, and he is not credited to appear in any more episodes since then, and considering that the new characters are joining, and that the storylines are moving on, as well as a six-week timejump in the next episode, I think it's safe to say that Marcus isn't returning any time soon, obviously, therefore he has made his final appearance for now, he can remain in the departed recurring characters until he returns, just like other recurring characters such as Natalia Malinovsky and Luca Malinovsky who make sporadic appearances, but are billed as recurring characters.
Kind Regards, MediDude4345 MediDude4345 (talk) 21:15, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- @MediDude4345: Do we know for certain that Marcus has left though? If he has then that's fine. Also, characters like Natalia and Luka should be included in recurring characters as they are making "sporadic appearances", aka being recurring characters. Soaper1234 - talk 20:18, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- In my eyes, a recurring character is a character who appears continuously. Natalia last appeared in June 2022, leaving six months between her last appearance, Luka last appeared over a year ago before last week. And it's not exactly certain, but highly likely, given that it's now been five episodes without the character, which would constitute their final appearance (for now). Personally, a recurring character to me is someone who appears in at least two of the four episodes a month, with some gaps, but none longer than a month. MediDude4345 (talk) 20:41, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- @MediDude4345: As characters who have been proven to appear here and there, I think it would be best to keep them as recurring characters. Plus, with Faith's new story, it is possible that we could see more of them. A recurring character is a character who "frequently appears from time to time during the series' run"; this seems like an accurate description for Faith's children. Soaper1234 - talk 20:44, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- Faith's episode was a flashback episode, and the two don't make any other appearances within this month, if you read the cast list. I think they may well come back in the future, and I'm happy for them to be listed as recurring. But Marcus Fidel should remain in Last Appearance as his last appearance aired a month ago. MediDude4345 (talk) 20:51, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- Marcus' last appearance was a month ago? You can continue to include characters in lists for more than one calendar year if there is no source to support an actors permanent departure. There is no source confirming a permanent departure, is there? I had to comment after reading your edit summary stating it "will remain as my edit for now until a conclusion is reached." Says who? You or the consensus of countless Wikipedia editors?Rain the 1 23:09, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- @MediDude4345: If Marcus' exit is sourced then he can be moved, but I don't think it has been reported in the media. As Raintheone has said, without a source, he can remain there, per the general consensus. Soaper1234 - talk 15:00, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- Firstly, this comment wasn't left to cause offence or anything like that, it simply wasn't meant too. What I meant by that was until we had discussed it. Being fairly new to Wikipedia, mistakes can happen, so I apologise for that. If you all agree, then it can be changed back, apologies for any inconvenience caused. MediDude4345 (talk) 16:04, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- @MediDude4345: Don't worry. I know it wasn't intended to cause offence and it is understandable to make mistakes. All sorted now though. Soaper1234 - talk 13:52, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Jodie Whyte
[edit]Hello Soaper, I hope you're well! I just wanted to let you know that I plan on making a article for Jodie due to the sheer amount of dramatic content she's already had within 4 months, I've never seen anything like it. Depending on the content I can get in, it may be published soon or it may be a gradual work in progress like my drafts for Anna Knight and Nina Bulsara. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were planning on it (or let me know if you already are and I'll abandon plans) - my first Casualty character article! – Meena • 19:39, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Meena: I'm sorry. I thought I had replied to this! Great plan for an article. Looking forward to reading the finished product. Soaper1234 - talk 19:02, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

Soaps improvement drive
[edit]Hello, I pinged you on the WP:SOAPS talk page about this so sorry to double on the message but I want to get as many on-board for this as it's ambitious, even for me. Due to the recent surge in scrutiny on soap articles, we all need to come together and improve soap articles, so I've created an improvement drive with dates and articles for the soap WikiProject to focus on improving articles each week. Right now, it's focused on Hollyoaks, but the plan is to keep it going until we get to each soap. I did not include a section to sign up as I didn't want editors to feel that they are signing their life away and are expected to edit the articles mercilessly. I hope for some level of dedication but it's not a drive with huge pressure. Are you interested in joining in? – Meena • 11:41, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Meena: Yes, it is a shame that this is happening to WP:SOAPS. I'll respond on the talk page, but I would like to say how some articles have been included on the clean up that are not in need of a clean up. I'll try to help where possible, but I'm not online lots. Soaper1234 - talk 19:04, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
DYK for Chantelle Atkins
[edit]On 29 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Chantelle Atkins, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that EastEnders producers decided to kill off Chantelle Atkins at the conclusion of a domestic-abuse plot after learning of the high statistic of women killed by a partner? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chantelle Atkins. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Chantelle Atkins), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

A question about your recent edit.
[edit]I can see why you reverted some of my edits, but why did you remove the redirects of Chris Clenshaw? You remove the redirects for Chris Clenshaw for both when it was the first time his name was mentioned in a segment, and when his name was mentioned in the references. So, what was the reason you remove the redirects?
Happy New Year's Eve tomorrow in the meantime. 174.44.191.134 (talk) 23:30, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

Warren Finn
[edit]Hello there, I will perhaps make a third attempt of writing a section on the EastEnders character Warren Finn when he has appeared a few times and when potentially there is more to be said about his character by cast members and critics. EmmerdaleFan2001 (talk) 09:37, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- @EmmerdaleFan2001: Hello. I think that is the best idea. As it stands, there isn't enough information about the actual character. If more information appears then by all means, please create a section. Soaper1234 - talk 20:13, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- I did create a section and I believe you made some changes to it. However I must ask, how come the info boxes of certain characters aren't allowed to be shown. Is there a reason for this? - out of curiosity. EmmerdaleFan2001 (talk) 14:45, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
