Welcome to Wikipedia, Sairamb1407! I'm Ozzie10aaaa, and I've been assigned as your mentor. About half of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.

You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.

If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

Again, welcome to Wikipedia!--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:29, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Republic TV, you may be blocked from editing. Black Kite (talk) 12:57, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, all the changes were made with adequate sources and explanation. Many parts of the same are not even related to Republic. How is removing those parts wrong? Sairamb1407 (talk) 13:29, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You cannot simply remove cited material without discussing it on the talk page first. Please see the verifiability, not truth essay, which opines in a nutshell: Editors may not add content solely because they believe it is true, nor delete content they believe to be untrue, unless they have verified beforehand with a reliable source.
Also see the WP:BRD essay. These are explanatory essays, but please note that they reference the WP:V, WP:NPOV, & WP:CON policies Peaceray (talk) 19:20, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sairamb1407. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page News Tap One, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. RA0808 talkcontribs 15:54, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article News Tap One has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

News website with no indication of meeting notability guideline for web content or general notability guideline. Only sources provided are links to articles written by the same site. The creating user's name also matches the claimed founder of the site, raising conflict of interest concerns.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Mike Cann, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Unfortunately, almost all your linking so far has not been helpful. Please be sure to see the aforementioned guideline. I have revoked your extended confirmed permission as you gamed the system to obtain it. The system exists for a reason. You can request the permission at WP:PERM once you have made 500 actual, legitimate contributions. It sees that you did so to be able to edit Republic TV; if you have an association with that channel, it must be disclosed, see WP:COI and WP:PAID. 331dot (talk) 09:48, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you have an edit you wish to make to a protected article, you may use the edit request process(the edit request wizard can facilitate this). 331dot (talk) 09:50, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

My edit requests have not been responded to since a very long time. I have no association with the channel. There are many false informations, which should be changed. Details of the channels owned by Republic TV and other information. I have mentioned them in the Talk Page and as well requested edits. I wish to edit and contribute in keeping wikipedia pages up to date. Sairamb1407 (talk) 09:56, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
