Census updates

Make sure to properly update links if you're changing the title, as done at Westport, Washington. Also, I'm not sure that it's an appropriate time to run these changes, as the complete dataset is not yet released for cities and thus the unequal presentation between different years might confuse readers. SounderBruce 23:31, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Sounder Bruce, thanks for posting. I clicked "diff". You changed to "United States Census Bureau". Not U.S. Census Bureau. You changed to city's name for not capitalization. Etc. --Rossdegenstein (talk) 19:28, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
I was referring to your use of 2020 census. Note that the two don't match up. SounderBruce 22:03, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Adding population estimates

Hello, I noticed you added some 2021 population estimates to some list of municipalities. Generally estimates are not considered encyclopedic as they are often way off the actual census counts, so it's best to just stick with census numbers. There are quite a few lists that need updated to the 2020 census if you would like to help there! Mattximus (talk) 01:18, 3 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello, where I add "adding population estimate"? In the Edit summary line? I do not add "2020 Census and 2021 Estimates" and/or "2021 estimates"? You got a notification in Dayton, Minnesota? --Rossdegenstein (talk) 04:02, 3 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for posting. I read copyrighted, permission, donating copyrighted materials and copying text from other sources. What is wrong? I was confused. I cannot put store locations for a list. How many QFC are there. Now, there are 59 QFCs. Next time, I will not edit QFC on Wikipedia again. Thank You. -Rossdegenstein (talk) 08:20, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
You cannot copy and paste an entire paragraph from the QFC website, simply put. It was obvious from the amount of promotional material left in there. SounderBruce 08:39, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

Image sizes

Per MOS:IMGSIZE, do not set the fixed width of images, especially in infoboxes. The default size is set by the user and is preferable to arbitrary sizes. Also, what's the deal with erasing non-breaking spaces in monetary figures? SounderBruce 01:13, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi Bruce, thanks for the update. You reverted in Bothell and Stanwood. I read and saw Image Sizes and Controlling line breaks. Against the Wikipedia Policy. I encouraged you to change number of populations in the 2020 Census and the 2022 Estimate. You fixed multiple cities in several states. You removed 275px. Next time, I will not edit all the cities in Snohomish County. Then I saw Controlling line breaks. I was confused, viewed and noticed some dirty sentences. I found Template Spaces for sizes for NBSP. Line separated from line. What is wrong? Two months ago, I read the Everett Herald. I saw your photo. You used the computer at the Marysville Public Library. You work at Wikipedia in Seattle, Lynnwood and Marysville. You have over 100,000 contributions. --Rossdegenstein (talk) 02:45, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
Also, avalara.com is not a reliable source and information about sales tax belongs in the body, not the infobox. SounderBruce 04:21, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Census edits (again)

Don't undo fixes made to both citations and syntax in the Demographics sections. In particular, edits like this that replace "2010 census" with "census of 2010" are not helpful. SounderBruce 06:11, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

City infobox name

Concerning your recent edits, reminder that the name above the infobox should be <CITY>, <STATE> per WIKIPEDIA:USCITY, if you disagree then please discuss at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline. • SbmeirowTalk19:52, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi Steve, thanks for posting. Yes you edited Aberdeen in Idaho and South Dakota. Yes, I got two notifications. I read and saw WIKIPEDIA:USCITY. I must put State's name on the top of the infoboxes in these cities across the United States. Why did I delete states? I saw the other people edited a lot of cities in Idaho, Minnesota, Oregon and Washington. Next time, I will edit a lot of cities. I won't delete state's name. I will put city name, state name on the top of the infobox. Thanks for discussing. --Rossdegenstein (talk) 20:14, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
Thanks! • SbmeirowTalk20:16, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Area figures

Per MOS:UNCERTAINTY, the area figures should be rounded to a more conservative significant digit. In this case, it's preferable to go no further than the hundredths place. SounderBruce 22:17, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mobile County, Alabama, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Madison County. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 06:11, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi. I was confused why is disambiguation page? I saw my contributions. Tag showed up. Yes, I edited "Madison County, Alabama" on Wikipedia. I checked diff list. Nothing. I edited it the 2020 Census and 2023 Estimate. It is Madison County, Alabama. Too many Madison County in AL, AR, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NY, OH, TN, TX & VA across the United States. I encouraged you to edit Madison County, AL. Thanks, --Rossdegenstein (talk) 06:24, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

ACS script

Please do not create new subsections for the ACS, as has been explained several times. It is an estimate based on surveys and should not be given undue weight and importance when directly compared to the decennial census. The script you are using has many grammatical errors that need to be corrected before further use. SounderBruce 08:04, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
