Proton freezer
Hello, Please ref: Creating User:CalderBenson/sandbox/Proton Freezer. I want to edit my submission to comply with the concern that it may be too promotional? The technological innovation discussed is called proton freezing and this term is widely understood in the commercial/industrial refrigeration trades. It is differentiated from flash or blast freezing in part because it employs an electromagnetic field as well as frigid air. The company offering the patented product calls it a Proton Freezer. How can I discuss the product or the technology without using the "brand" name? Can the page title even be "Proton freezer?" This is my first Wiki post ever. I would like to provide important generic information about this technological innovation without it being a commercial. Also, can you please assist by at least restoring my draft? I made edits to it that I have not saved elsewhere. I will be most appreciative of any suggestions or assistance you are able to offer. Thank you kindly. Calder Benson CalderBenson (talk) 20:25, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks a) that freezing protons is a real activity and b) that your device to do it is notable. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:19, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello, Please ref: Creating User:CalderBenson/sandbox/Proton Freezer. I rewrote the entry to be objective and non-commercial, and added academic citations and footnotes in support of the article. Do you contend that anyone with a COI is incapable of writing a page that will fly? A similar freezing method called Cells Alive System (CAS) has a Wikipedia page with manufacturer links prominent. How do you account for their success at Wiki? Can you advise what I need to change or delete to solve this issue? If not, can you at least steer me to an editor who can assist me? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. CalderBenson (talk) 03:38, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
- Steer you? No mate, follow this advice and do your own research. Clearly the contibutors to the CAS article are a good starting point. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:29, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hi I am trying to learn to navigate Wikipedia and I responded to the Oniontalk today. I am so disappointed I had ensured all claims were verified through court docs and transcripts I believe the article was not bias – I do not know how to use sandbox – so disappointed almost feels like an attack as I tried to rectify the previous article in line with Wiki criteria – is there an area that can guide me? Deletion of page – Justin Pearson (Stuntman)
Good evening, I am writing with reference to the page that I was in the middle of creating, Justin Pearson (Stuntman). I was about to add more content in relation to notability. This is why I had it set in draft mode. I am new to contributing to Wikipedia so can you explain why it was deleted with these tags in place? As far as I am aware it was not in the article namespace. If possible I would like to retrieve what I had already done to save me writing it all again. Thanks! Andy — Preceding unsigned comment added by BlueTempus (talk • contribs) 20:37, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Socking?
Hey, I saw that you previously blocked PCruiser and tagged Adolescentfiction as a sockpuppet of that account and of MetlifeWP, who was blocked by Diannaa. The reason I'm mentioning this is because recently I blocked Moredecai for posting a bunch of OR navel gazing content and I'd initially thought he was just here to use Wikipedia as a webhost until I saw that he tried to create Legal idealism and Category:Umhoefer's Rule & Axioms, topics that Adolescentfiction tried to create.
Do either of you (since I also tagged Diannaa) think that this is a new sock? I've tagged the new account accordingly with the sockpuppet tags, but I wanted your opinions on this. Also, was there an SPI? It might be worthwhile to open one if not. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:54, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of page
Hi. Today you deleted ECOVACS ROBOTICS. I used 29 references and I paraphrased most of the text; however, some of the keywords such as window cleaning robot cannot be changed and I think that is the reason why it got tagged as copyright infringement. I may be wrong though so can you please explain to me why the page was deleted and how I could correct it in order to publish it? Thank you in advance. Rafaellicious (talk) 12:11, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) It doesn't matter how many sources you used, any article that copies from another site or publication without adhering to the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL (as seen at the bottom of the edit window just above the "Save page" button) has to be deleted. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:47, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
I paraphrased almost every phrase. I checked with the Duplicate Detector and the results tagged were the product names such as DEEBOT SLIM which I cannot change. Rafaellicious (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:59, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

- Roger, do you understand what occurred here? There are people all over the Internet selling our (vinyl) albums. This has nothing to do with copyright issues. If it did, you better remove pictures for all groups from the 1960s, 1970s & 1980s (Simon & Garfunkel, Paul McCartney, etc.). Please correct this. File:I will remember you 1999 sarah mclachlan live.jpg. The image was discussed at Wikipedia:Non-free content review/Archive 34#More than one images in specific albums and singles. However, that was before the NFRC was deprecated. Now that I think about it, I really think that consensus for this image no longer flies. I did request a speedy deletion on this image; now I want it undeleted and then, per WP:IAR, reinsert it as the extra image. Therefore, I can put both images up for discussion at FFD. You selected F7 as violating non-free use policy for deleting File:Tales of Eternia psp.jpg, or maybe that was not a reason. You probably intended to select G7, which is what I said. Hi RHaworth, I was the original uploader of File:Dat Boi Frog.gif, which was deleted due to having an incorrect fair-use rationale. The image was from the Animation Factory website as a preview of the animation to be downloaded, and I believe I incorporated that somewhere into the file's rationale but am unsure exactly what I added. I haven't uploaded or tagged many images on Wikipedia, so do you know how I could go about reinstating the image (which is necessary to the Dat Boi article)? Specifically, what would be a valid fair-use rationale for the image? Thanks, Capcapandgengen (talk) 22:07, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- It may have been deleted before you had a chance to see it but the speedy tag placed by McGeddon (talk · contribs) said 'db-badfairuse|reason=This was not "released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media"; the source linked is actually heavily watermarked and a smaller size, and asks you to pay $60 before downloading the original'. Cavesluts
@RHaworth: I was wrong, the article is not an attack page, the original creator linked a page to establish their existence. May be worth googling "Chinese band cavesluts" it may establish notability. They're also mentioned here. — Mr rnddude (talk) 12:07, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- Hello! I am not an experienced editor, but when I was looking at what was available on Chinese rock in English, I came across a band I had never heard about, namely: Cavesluts. I had never heard of them before, and seeing that there wasn't anything but a name on this page Chinese rock, I decided to see what was available in Chinese to see if it was a real band at all. A search on baidu.com, a Chinese search engine, revealed that the band did exist and seems to have put out quite a bit of music. Here is a link to evidence of this.
- Since I was already on the page, I decided to enter a few basic details about the band. This is when the page was flagged for deletion. I am happy to see that the Wikipedia community is vigilant about taking down hate speech. I am in no way condoning their choice of a band name I personally feel is offensive, but I don't think we should delete everything that is negative or offensive from our collective memory either. If that were the case, there are many articles I'd like to slate for deletion.
- I was wondering if you could provide a bit more insight into why this page was still deleted in the end. I would also like to know why the band name wasn't also removed from the list of bands on Chinese rock. Thank you! wuyan (talk) 17:28, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Even if you felt that the title was incorrect, you could have moved it to the Kairana exodus page instead of deleting the whole page. Three hours ago you deleted Talk:/DRIVE with the explanation "Very short article lacking sufficient context to identify subject of article". I don't know what was there when you deleted it, but the accompanying article was originally at Drive (web series) before being moved to /DRIVE a few hours before you deleted Talk:/DRIVE. I'm not sure that starting a page with a slash is appropriate. You can see the issue from the link above, which tries to point to User talk:RHaworth/DRIVE. Hi! I am curious why you decided to send this draft I started through AfC? I am pretty sure it is not ready to be an article! Just curious what your reasoning was. Thanks, phoebe / (talk to me) 00:54, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
- phoebe, see my comments to Unscintillating above. You had not touched the article for two years. Did you ever intend to bring it up to scratch? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:17, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
- RHaworth: possibly. I've been an editor for 13 years -- I have a lot of ongoing projects. At any rate, don't do things like this without at least a talk page message to the lead editors. Your dislike of drafts is your personal dislike, not something shared amongst other people. Please stop taking action on draft articles, it is not helpful or appreciated. -- phoebe / (talk to me) 14:07, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- I would add that sending an article to AfC that obviously isn't ready to publish just wastes your fellow editors' time. If you care about it, send me a message or just work on improving the article yourself. -- phoebe / (talk to me) 14:15, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
You got rid of my article
I was working on that darn article. I want you to fix it back up no questions asked! — Wikikid16 (talk) 23:08, 24 June 2016

Deleted sandbox
Hi Ref: Sandbox page. I thought that sandbox can be used for experimenting with Wikipedia syntax. I do not believe the tool was used for mailicious purposes. It also wasn't intended to be published at this stage. Would you mind restoring it, so that I can continue using my sandbox? If you do not believe it should be created there, would you telling me where I can test the Wiki syntax without offending the rules? Thanks a lot! Pegrew — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pegrew78 (talk • contribs) 12:42, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- You are correct: Sandboxes can be used for experimenting with Wikipedia syntax. They cannot, however, be used for advertising or promotion. -- Launchballer 19:13, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- Just for once, I have taken pity and restored. Clearly you are going to need independent evidence of notability before it satnds any chance of survival. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:44, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, yes, lots of work needed indeed! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pegrew78 (talk • contribs) 20:44, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

ANI thread close
Hi RHaworth, I've closed that thread – just though I should drop you a line notifying you, and thank you for bringing that to everyone's attention. The WMF emergency team are looking into it now – if there is anything I can do please let me know -- samtar talk or stalk 11:33, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- Should we just take these kind of suicide notices at face value because otherwise we risk looking like awful people? For one, I don't believe this one to be true but I'm not sure what better way there is to deal with it.--Atlan (talk) 11:39, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Atlan: nor do I, but treating it like this is the lesser of two evils, I think? Either way, the user making a statement like this should be seen as a threat of sorts, at least in my book. -- samtar talk or stalk 11:43, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- Was apparently an account compromise @Atlan: -- samtar talk or stalk 11:56, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Samtar:Yeah I think you handled it fine, but I was just wondering out loud, if we are not too easily trolled by these kind of messages by the way we handle them. Now the "account compromise" seems a bit convenient. Now we have a retirement, a suicide note and a compromised account message all in 1 day's time. Again I don't really buy it and again it makes me seem like an awful person.--Atlan (talk) 12:14, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

- I think we were right to contact the emergency team – while my guess is that they were not needed, they should let us know if we are over-using them. --S Philbrick(Talk) 13:55, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Would you mind restoring this draft, its talk page, moving without redirect to Draft:FuturLab, and removing the AFC tag? There's evidence this topic is notable, but I'd like to keep it in the VG project's drafts category. -- Izno (talk) 16:16, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- Done, except that I disapprove of stuff in the draft: namespace without an AFC tag. If you want it kept indefinitely, apply {{AFC postpone G13}} every three months. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:44, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Recently deleted page – PNPLine
Dear Mr. Roger Haworth, This is Shsdol. I recently created my first entry for a page – PNPLine – and saw that it was deleted. I would like to rectify the situation and make the proper corrections so that the page may be listed without any issues. I visited the Teahouse and read a question & answer section that seems relevant to my post – here.
Now, I feel that the references portion for the Wikipedia page seems to be the issue and I would like to re-list the entry with this portion omitted. I read the rules and guidelines and understand that this is not a proper source of reference to be using. I came across a company page that I deemed as brief and unbiased and was using the page as a reference guideline for my entry as well. This is the link
In summary, these will be changed:
- References section removed
- External Links changed to Official Homepages with API and Online System Manual Removed from this section
With that being said, are there any other issues that you see which may prevent the entry from becoming a legitimate Wikipedia page? Thank you very much for your time. I look forward to hearing back from you. Best, Shsdol (talk) 12:45, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- Shsdol, yes, the references section was a problem but it was the lack of them that mattered, not their presence. But kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:25, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Edit request
Hi, could you please make the following edit to Wikipedia talk:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia/Housecoat 3: {{film|class=stub|American=yes|category=no}}
to {{WikiProject Film|class=project|American=yes}}
This will simply allow the WikiProject to track this as a relevant non-article page. — PC78 (talk) 00:18, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- Done. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:21, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Article moves
Hi RHaworth. Trying to figure out the reason behind your recent moves which left pages like Draft:The Zeitgeist Movement created. Can you please explain? -- NeilN talk to me 01:12, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
And the move left the talk page in draft space. Might want to check your other moves. -- NeilN talk to me 05:51, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- NeilN, I noticed that Draft:The Zeitgeist Movement and The Zeitgeist Movement both existed. The options were:
- simply delete the draft as stale draft material
- merge the edit histories
- do nothing.
- What would you have done? I apologise for messing up the talk page move. What I meant to do was [2]. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:21, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- I cannot figure out how the draft page was created in the first place or what it contained. --NeilN talk to me 02:58, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

Circumcision
Re File:Cached copy of the 2006 NYS circumcision protocol regarding the prevention of neonatal herpes.pdf: I am not on Wikipedia very frequently. I have just seen that you deleted this page. This was a cached copy of a public information page on the New York State Dept of Health website. Exactly what did you imagine was copywritten when you deleted this information that was publicly disseminated on the NYS DoH website? — pikipiki (talk) 07:21, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- pikipiki, did you actually look at the given deletion reason: F10? In my view "no foreseeable encyclopedic use" covers the matter fully. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:21, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Undeletion request
Hi, OpenAIRE is an article stub, and need time (! it is new) to improve. It is a relevant European Comission project, see its official link https://www.openaire.eu
... So not make sense to say "no evidence of notability". To avoid conflicts I am merging all its contents to the Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development#Illustrative projects page. Please not delete its entry, I am using it to redirect to the merged page. -- Krauss (talk) 10:20, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Krauss, I see: a link to an official website by itself is sufficient evidence of notability. See this list of Seventh Framework and associated projects. One of the reasons I voted for Brexit is that these twenty or more projects have been using my money and most of them have not produced any results notable enough for Wikipedia. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:59, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Undeletion request for File:Puttingondog2.jpg and File:Puttingondog4.jpg. I tried to upload these images but they were empty. Could you restore it them? — Marole3 (talk) 16:55, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- Creating empty file description pages for these two images was pointless and little better than vandalism. Both restored. You now have seven days to use these images in articles and provide valid fair use rationales. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:59, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
"Move vandalism"
Good day! I notice that you SPEEDILY deleted Howie Lake, Howie Lake II and Salamoni without a proper RFD. Lake and Salamoni are officers involved in the Shooting of Alton Sterling. Bots are in place to fix double redirects that are the result of moving pages, and these redirects do not fall under the category of Page-move vandalism. -- Jax 0677 (talk) 16:58, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
Deletion of page – Expway
Hi Roger, I was in the middle of writing the Expway page when you deleted it for what seems to be lack of credibility. Please put it back on so that I can add the proper information, links, and references to show credibility. Why did you submit this AFC
Why did you tag Draft:Biosystems Architecture with an AFC submission template? After I moved the article to draft space to allow the user more time to develop the article, the user has not made any improvements to it. But it has been less than 24 hours. Why not let the author take the time to develop whatever sources might be available? (Personally, I doubt the article will ever pass muster, but it certainly won't in its present state.) Gesundheit
Hello, I recently had an article deleted. It was called Wikipedia:Daniela Gesundheit. I am not sure how to post any kind of link to it now because I cannot find it anywhere or the article that I wrote with all the references and everything. I am 100% sure that everything that went wrong is my fault...but if there is anyway you can help me or restore the article so I can work on it or anything I would be in your debt. All I want is for the article to be posted as Daniela Gesundheit. I had it named as Draft: Daniela Gesundheit as well as Wikipedia: Daniela Gesundheit. I could not name it simply Daniela Gesundheit because there was an article with that name already which was just a redirect to her band. Please help me! I am a good guy I swear. Thanks, Thom Rice (talk) 21:07, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
Jordan Fisher, create protected
Hi Roger, I was trying to create a new article for Jordan Fisher and I saw the name has been create protected. I think you may have been the admin who create protected it, which I assume was because of the numerous poor attempts to create a page for him over the years. There is a draft of the article, and I recently revised it to bring in more sources and clean up the formatting. My submission was declined, which I don't agree with, as I feel my revision demonstrates the subject's notability. The user who declined the submission, Tseung Kwan O, informed me that either way, before the article can be created, the create protection for Jordan Fisher needs to be removed. And so I come to you to request that you remove the create protection. If you take a look at the draft, you'll see that at the very least the subject is on the cusp of being notable. Thank you for your time. -- Bernie44 (talk) 21:41, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
Irish cheese
You deleted list of irish cheeses, which I created on October 4, 2015, per WP:CSD#R3. I don't think that meets the bar of recent, though that part of the criteria would do better with some clarification. Secondly, I created approx. 10 others of the same nature (e.g. List of french cheeses and List of german cheeses). I presume I thought they were reasonable {{r from alternative capitalization}}s at the time (also taking WP:RTYPO into account; WP:RCAPS wasn't codified until two weeks later). Would you mind restoring it? I wouldn't take any issue with you listing it or the lot of them at RfD, but I feel that is the proper way to go. I may even take a hard look at them and agree that they should be deleted. Please ping me if you reply here. Best Regards, —Godsy (TALKCONT) 10:12, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
Second Deletion of page – Expway
Roger, This is getting real annoying. I reported the Expway company page, and you deleted it again. The company is 100% valid, and very significant in its market place. It has major partnerships with tier-1 telecom providers, and mobile device makers. I provided plenty of reference for each fact. Please put it back up, or tell me EXACTLY, and I man EXACTLY (not just a link to some long guidelines) why YOU think it is not worthy.
