Not that the songs aren't encyclopedic, but posting the lyrics are. You can discuss the song like what I did with De La Salle University-Manila's, but unfortunately we can't save lyrics since it's covered by copyright, I think. --Mithril Cloud 23:53, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- Mithril is correct on this one. We cannot paste entire lyrics of songs unless we know they are out of copyright. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 23:59, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
By the way, even vision/missions are also considered unencyclopedic. --Mithril Cloud 04:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Native name fields
By the way, I took out the acronyms from the native name fields for obvious reasons. The native name field is used for the local name of the school in Filipino or in the native language of the area. --Mithril Cloud 00:05, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- But that's how that template field is used. I'm just conforming to established standards. However in that case, you might opt to use this instead:
- The Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran (HSS, or simply Holy Spirit) is a private, Catholic, secondary, co-educational institution in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines. It is run by the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit, also known as the SSpS congregation or Holy Spirit Sisters. It has preparatory, elementary and high school departments. The high school department was originally exclusive for girls, but has been changed to co-ed since 2001.

Re: Just in case
You wrote: Hello! In case you come across this essay, or know how to access it, please please let me know: "Critiquing Filipino modes of thinking" by Jaime Polo. Thank you. --Pinay (talk•email) 17:16, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi Pinay06. Never heard of any Jaime Polo's writings. Haven't seen any book at the National Bookstore with the above title either.
Perhaps there is a copy of that work at the Phil National Library? I tried to check their website but my prepaid server is experiencing technical difficulties (its running very slow). Maybe you can check it yourself? If you want to search the National Library for a particular author, thesis, article, book etc. just click this url:

I hope this helps. By the way, I copied some of your user icons. Thanks! --Iandres 06:18, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Eskaya
Oh my goodness... What fascinating photos! I am thinking of writing a blog entry on these Eskaya for my Salita blog. You could use this in the "External Links" section, I am thinking. With blogs, from my understanding, the main concern is information and not pictures. However, I would suggest getting in contact with the owner of this blog and ask him permission to upload them into Wikipedia. You would have to ask him if it's OK to put the pictures under a license. I did the same with the Freddie Aguilar photo. My friend from Germany visited him and snapped a photo, and so I asked her if she would allow me to put it on Wikipedia. Good luck.
BTW if you find anything as far as Eskaya grammar goes or a way of reading what is written (It's taking me forever to read what's on the blackboard) then let me know. I want to see if I can connect it to other Philippine languages. The consonant clusters remind me of Tboli and Blaan. --Chris S. 19:45, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually I found another picture where the language is written in Roman letters. Wooooow. Why were these photos top secret? Do the Eskayans not like outsiders? --Chris S. 19:48, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
--Chris S. 02:15, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
About J.B. Polo
I came across an article with a brief introduction on Prof Jaime Polo. I never heard of this Filipino Scholar until you ask me about his book. Let me share you what the article says about the Prof:
Dr. Jaime Biron Polo comes from the University of the Philippines (Diliman). He is currently a Fellow of Pulse Asia, Inc., at the Philippine Social Science Center, Diliman. From August 2001-April 2002, he was Philippine Fellow (under the sponsorship of the Asia Scholarship Foundation or ASF) at the Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. In Thailand, he undertook his field work for a research project on Thai conceptualizations of power titled "Interfaces Between Southeast Asian Traditions and Cyber Spaces: Thai Concepts of Power". He is now on a three-month attachment with the Asian Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore, also under the sponsorship of ASF.

By the way, I always wanted to check the Filipiniana Archives and Photo Archives of the Phil. Heritage Library. Do they have vintage phonograph recordings from the 1930's and 1940's of classical Kundiman music of the Philippines? --Iandres 06:45, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

I like popups, and have gotten used to using it already. 'Makes things a bit quicker. I just discovered Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts. Hmm... SWAdair | Talk 04:51, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Redundancies
I scanned the portal and fixed three that I found could be renamed (no article already existing at the non-redundant name). The difficult cases will be where an article already exists by the simpler name. In those cases I guess a merge and redirect will suffice. If you merge then you can't delete the article you merge from, for GFDL reasons, so merging requires redirecting the source article. If no merging is necessary (i.e. the target article already contains the information present in the redundant article) then the redundant one can simply be deleted. It might be a good idea to create a naming conventions section at Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines. SWAdair | Talk 09:31, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Swslogo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Swslogo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 17:50, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! I will tag it db-author. I replaced that with Image:SWSlogo.JPG – logo that does not have the 20years – with permission from Social Weather Stations. I will check the file to make sure proper documentation is there. Thank you for the reminder.--Pinay (talk•email) 18:29, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

- The image File:SWSlogo.JPG appears to be fine. Unless the permission granted is to license under a GFDL license or other free equivilent, the image has to be tagged as a fair use logo, as it currently is. It is very unlikely that it is released freely; to much value to the corp to protect it.--Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 18:43, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Naming conventions
When a certain type of article has multiple ways of being named, members of a project often will decide how articles in the scope of the project should be named. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions for some examples. SWAdair | Talk 04:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Disambiguation
Where the pre-existing articles were about non-clergy with the same names, I changed the wikilinks to include the word "Reverend", making them red-links that won't be confused with the others. In cases where more than one person (or item, or whatever the article is about) has the same name, the usual method is to create Disambiguation pages, but since this information is of a more transitory nature and the clergy mentioned might never get an article of their own, I decided it wasn't necessary to create disambig pages for them. Instead, I just changed the links so the article name would be different. This is more the exception than the rule. Usually disambig pages are the way to go. I was not sure about LeBreton's book; it was missing quotes at the end, and I made them italics, as "volume" indicates a book, not a chapter. That sentence is might lumpy, and might be better with "Dominique" moved before "old Jupiter". Chris the speller 01:33, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Let me check on this Chris. Thank you, as always. --Pinay (talk•email) 01:38, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- The excerpt says, "Both the pioneer Creole priest of Louisiana, classical poet, missionary among the Choctaw Indians, and his happy-go-lucky brother, "old Jupiter in a black blanket," as Mrs. Dagmar Renshaw LeBreton styles him in her splendid volume Chaht a-Ima — Dominique, who was a master of lyric poetry — made Bonfouca their haunt." --Roger Baudier of CAS (see Ref 2) appears to have made the actual quote from LeBreton's Chaht a-Ima rather than LeBreton herself. From what it appears, LeBreton simply called Dominique "old Jupiter in a black blanket." There is certainly lumptiness of the sentence of Baudier but not in the way language is spoken in the southern part of Louisiana. Also keep in mind, the "creoles (locals), like the French Cajuns, has a way with words (and mighty proud of it!) that is only acceptable at home and no place else. Where else in the world would you hear someone ask you how you're doing with, "Where you at?" except in the "city that care forgot," New Orleans. --ChicogoN 10:08, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

- That is ok but the whole history as presented here is a bulk excerpt from the article itself as published in the Catholic Action of the South, no more, no less. If anyone wants to change the original newspaper article, then so be it.)--ChicogoN 00:47, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

I just remembered about this since one of my other interests is creating comprehensive discographies of some artists (andami nito, so I'm focusing on one album at a time).
- Re Fr. Arnold, most search engines will produce only about 50-70 links to him (or his namesakes), so my next move is to do a good search on albums (not on the 'Net, but on my own CD collections) where his songs and arrangements have appeared. --- Tito Pao 18:14, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I saw your contribs. Way to go. You must also have seen the revision in response to my "communique". BTW, I have already informed Wiki admin re your much expected choral/vocal rendition version. List of IHMS alumni Paring Bol-anon
I need the List of IHMS alumni Paring Bol-anon be retained as the corrected title of the list, while theList of IHMS alumno Paring Bol-anon (typo) deleted per {{db-author}}. This was originally from List of Paring Bol-anon which needs to be changed/moved to distinguish it from Paring Bol-anon – which include those that are not alumni of IHMS. Thank you so much for the help! --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 10:02, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- Why would alumno be more correct than alumni? Waitak 10:21, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry? - that is what I need deleted. Please retain as title of list List of IHMS alumni Paring Bol-anon instead of List of IHMS alumno Paring Bol-anon. Thank you so much for the speedy reply. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 10:23, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, okay, sorry. I'm afraid that I'll have to leave this to an admin, since it requires:
- Removing the alumni page
- Renaming the alumno page to the alumni page
- thereby making the alumno page a redirect. Doing it manually by swapping the content (which is all that a non-admin can do) would lose the history. I'll pop the {{tl:helpme}} back in. Sorry I couldn't help! Waitak 10:31, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- that's okey. Thank you for the speedy response. I am turning in now. I hope the admin can follow our conversation. Best regards --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 10:43, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello! I need the above article kept as is because the List of IHMS alumni Paring Bol-anon are ALL priests while the other one has people who ARE NOT priests, did not become priests, are lay (staff and faculty), are out of the priesthood. Please undo. Thank you again! --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 16:50, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- There was nothing to undo. That was a redirect to a page that itself was a redirect to alumno. It never had its own identity as far as I could tell. See http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_people_of_the_Immaculate_Heart_of_Mary_Seminary&action=history and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_notable_alumni_and_professors_of_the_Immaculate_Heart_of_Mary_Seminary&action=history -- Avi 16:52, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

- I lost the list which contained alumni that are not priests but belong to the public sector and private sector. I am very sure it is the List of people of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary. Can you help me find or restore it? Since it is hard to re-construct that again. I need the information from there on those who belong to the private and public sector (not priests) which is the major distinction between the above title and this other list. Thanks. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 17:51, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- All these moves made a royal mess . What you want is buried in the history of the current page under Private Sector, I believe. I added what was in the old history of THIS VERY page (due to the many moves and merges). More than that, I'm afraid you will have to reconstruct manually. Last(est!) favor, please
Now,can you please help me make the List of people of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary as the one with the the priests + the private and public sector while the List of IHMS alumni Paring Bol-anon has ONLY ALL PRIESTS with no public and private sector. Thank you. I don't know how to return the favor...--Ate Pinay (talk•email) 18:42, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- What I will do will make the Heart list have only private and Govt/public, and the alumni list have everyone else, and put a see also on top pf each one. It doesn't make sense to have one list to be completely contained in the other. -- Avi 19:38, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Chris
Please spell-check Arnold Zamora and Chorus Paulinus for me? Thanks. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 23:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
The biggest change was putting songs and singles in quotes instead of italics. See WP:MOS-T for details. They'll get you for stuff like that. (While in the realm of nit-picking, your talk page has "Respect other peoples views", which is lacking an apostrophe.) :-) You might want to go over the Career and Notable choral arrangements sections, as I could not in all cases be sure which were songs and which were albums. I changed a phrase to <<Theme Song of Loboc Children’s Choir>>, as Loboc Children’s Choir doesn't seem to need any markup; it would get italics if it were the theme song of a weekly TV show named Loboc Children’s Choir. Some sections seemed a little heavy on capitalization; e.g. <<"Nanay at Tatay", Words and Music: Arnold Zamora>> might be better as <<"Nanay at Tatay", words and music: Arnold Zamora>>, but I leave that up to you. Chris the speller 17:28, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- Re Arnold Zamora – Thanks as always. I will remember. Most likely, you will find exactly the same errors in Chorus Paulinus. I just know it. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 17:32, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- As for Loboc Children's Choir, they were the interpreter or singer of "On Angels Wings"...--Ate Pinay (talk•email) 17:36, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Notable songs
This section is not really encyclopdic – listing individual pieces or performances thereof is excessive and somewhat trivial and mars what could be a fine article – the article should be from a neutral point of view, not from the point of view of a fan or member of the group.-Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 03:44, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, the same goes for the extensive list of every performance the choir has ever given. When other readers and editors see sections like this, they may automatically think this is a vanity page and not take the article seriously. -Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 03:46, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the comment/s. Do you think it best to transfer the list/s to a separate List of notable songs of the Chorus Paulinus page ? Please give me some feedback. Thank you. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 04:39, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, to be honest with you I don't think that stuff needs to be on wikipedia at all. Wikipedia is a place for the major, salient facts, providing a good overview, not a collection of everything related to the subject – thats why organizations like choirs have their own websites! Also, the list of concerts is, while excessive, at least patently factual; but the list of "notable" songs is not; who says they're notable? Why list them specifically and not every song the choir has ever performed? Is there a third party source to confirm the notability? Probably not. This is what I mean by writing from the point of view of a fan or member. -Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 04:47, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- I beg to disagree with you on this. Yes, there is a third party involved in this article. I , and Wikipedia admin User:Zscout370 are actually collaborating with the founder and members of Chorus Paulinus on this article. I am not a fan writing this article nor am I a member of Chorus Paulinus. I am just a Filipino who believe in the notability of this church based-choir. You can confirm my statement here with User:Zscout370 because he has copies of the email exchanges and permissions sent, and with the founder, Fr. Arnold Zamora at his email address: arnold_zamora@yahoo.com. If you click on the sample songs as well as the images, he has been gracious as to release the copyrights of his songs to public domain. Also, in the history, you will see the editors of the article. Several of them are member of Chorus Paulinus. I appreciate your comments. But please confirm your facts first before you issue or write base-less comments or statements. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 04:56, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, I may have been unclear in my comment. I did not mean to say that the article was written entirely by fans or members. However, the article is written from the point of view of a fan or member. I am also not disagreeing with the notability of the choir or its founder. What I am saying is that a list of "notable songs" begs the question of who deemed them notable – did a third party source (not a third person) identify them as notable? Like, is there an article in a major Filipino newspaper that identifies these songs as being notable? Otherwise, it reads as though it were written by a member or fan, because who else would have the wherewithal to compile such a list, if it's not located in a third-party source? --Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 05:14, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- A good example: one of the songs on that list says that it is Zamora's most popular arrangement and has since been performed by choirs all over the world. What is the source for that statement? Is it an email from Zamora himself? Or is it a third party source, like the music's publisher? Statements like that are problematic and appear to be vanity even if they are not intended as such. The entire list is problematic in the same way.-Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 05:16, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Just to give you some context for my opinion, I am a musician who has sung with a lot of famous and not so famous choirs in the United States. I have been working a lot on a number of articles about choirs in order to make them as neutral and encyclopedic as possible, with lots of citations and sources and an absolute minimum of vanity language (like "Choir X is famous for Y song" or "Choir X gave a great performance of Z" and so on) and a minimum of stuff that is meant to boost the choir's reputation rather than give a neutral overview of the group. I want to see all of these articles written neutrally and encyclopedically so that other users and editors will take them seriously.-Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 05:21, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Chocolate Hills for GA on hold
GA on hold — Notes left on talk page. Nehrams2020 23:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you soooo much! I will work on these ASAP. Indeed, your comments/points are very valid. I guess I would miss those after having spent soooo much time on the article. Hmmmm...these were missed during the peer review? Anyways, I will let you know once I am done with the corrections and addressing your suggested points. It shouldn't take me 7 days. I will get back to you soonest. Best regards. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 00:21, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good, I know what you mean when you spend so much time on an article and new things pop up. I spent the last week working on Oklahoma City bombing and I learned that I misspelled the a word in the first sentence of the article, among other things. It's always good to have outside people take a look. Just let me know when you're done and I'll take a look. There may be more mistakes, as I just did an initial sweep, but I'll let you know if there are any once you fix the current ones. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 04:14, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Bohol Marine Triangle
I think you could create this article. It has some news coverage and is even protected by notable organizations like the United Nations Development Programme and DENR. Its marine biodiversity alone is notable enough. Judging by the sites that I saw so far, info is really lacking but sufficient to assert notability. I may not contribute a significant amount to Wikipedia in the next couple of months. I have to have a good thesis manuscript by the end of Feb and defend it by March. ---- Lenticel 06:39, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Thesis
My thesis concerns bioinformatics for the Dengue Virus or Malaria (depending on my adviser's whim). Mainly computer work really yet very tedious (more computer science than molecular biology actually). Thanks for the offer but I think I'll face this one alone. I'll be working soon and should try to stand on my own this early.
- The Philippine Tarsier is the standard that I would like to reach for the articles that I created. Off all the articles I made so far, I think the Philippine Mouse Deer has this potential. Lenticel 08:01, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- O, okey. BTW, I did not mean to reduce your research experience at all. Just offered a "third research eye", since I also did some thesis advising before, while I did some research projects too. The USAID-DOH Project used EPI-INFO software for their epidemiology studies. Dengue would be very relevant. Malaria, too, but isn't that last more studied? I would be interested in dengue, as a member of my family suffered of it back in 1998! And believe me, it wasn't a very pleasant experience. Thankfully, his blood count stabilized and didn't really need any blood transfusion, though donors were on standby with type AB blood! More sharing later. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 09:02, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

- Ok will see what I can whip up. Just gonna go to mass. =) Berserkerz Crit 08:53, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
reverting vandalism at John Grisham
Dont know why you think I was playing with the article, when in fact I was removing many obscene words that someone had inserted in between the lines. Felt my duty to clean it. If doing this was wrong, then wont bother to do it again. P.S. Have a look at the page before I edited it. Special:PermanentLink/107596552 Nigerianhunk 18:55, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, since I don't edit manually, but use popups, what you were doing escaped me. The best way to revert vandalism is to revert to the earliest possible version where ALL the contents are correct or accurate. It will be shown in the history. As the case, I just reverted to an earlier revert of mine, thus ensuring that I have all the accurate information and data. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 18:58, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- I hope you understand and learned something today...--Ate Pinay (talk•email) 19:00, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, will be exploring all the options. Didnt know the easy way to clean it up at that time.Nigerianhunk 19:03, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's good to hear that! Thank you for the help. You will see on the history today how I have been reverting vandalism at his page. I strongly suggest that you download popups because it will be useful for you in editing and reverting vandalism. Feel free to leave me a message in my talk page for anything. There are tools that I can also share with you. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 19:11, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

My Goodness Pinay... how far you've come
PhilipDM here. Wow... I'm only away a month and you got hundreds of articles published. Definitely getting an award from me.. I'll just have to pick one...hmmm... anyways.
About Fr. Arnold Zamora, I was going to write something about him since you brought him up. Definitely a good guy you work hard on the article, man. But during that week something came up about kulintang music and that the music companies (BMI and Sony) are claiming copyrights to the music... so I had to blast them on that. Also I was updating my online textbook so I was totally busy... it's like almost... 100 pages now... almost done.
But glad you mention Zamora. surprisingly enough, I pass his parish every week in the City when we are going to clement st. Star of the Sea parish is a really quaint church.
Peace out girl. PhilipDM 23:33, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Pasensya na po ate pero baka hindi po ako makatulong sa inyo ng mabuti. Internet in UP Diliman is free but agonizingly slow. I already made a stub Lake Buhi, fixed some things in Phil-related articles to pass time yet my journal article in pdf is still not downloaded! And my adviser wants results by the end of this week :( Pero may kaunti po akong inayos doon. Here it is: quarrying to quarry, removed extra karst link, added a link to kisses and fixed (hopefully) the grammar Lenticel 12:38, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- There are still some things that need to be fixed, I found one thing that was crossed of that wasn't fixed. Please fix these by the deadline I put on the talk page or I will fail it. You have significantly improved the article, but I have already put it on hold for too long. If you can't fix them in time, let me know and I'll fail it early. You can easily renominate it again later once all of these are fixed. --Nehrams2020 00:05, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Those look good, now get to the other parts. Fixing the inline citations shouldn't be too hard. Finding the sources for the other statements should be your main focus right now. --Nehrams2020 00:56, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Good job over the last few days improving the article. Make sure to keep improving it with any other new information you can find. Consider working on other articles to nominate for GAC, using this article and others as a model. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of the articles you contribute to later down the road. Have a great day! Nehrams2020 01:49, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Not a problem glad I could help, please let me know if you ever need anything else. Templates and layouts are kinda my thing.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 18:57, 16 February 2007 (UTC) No problem I'm working on it right now and should have something to show in maybe an hour since it's lunch time, lol. Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 19:21, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Other GAs
With just a quick glance over the articles, I would say that you need to add a lot more sources and inline citations to the articles. Look both of them over and if there are any statements that somebody could say "Is this verifiable?", then add an inline citation. It is usually very easy to pass an article once there are a whole bunch of inline citations within the article. --Nehrams2020 02:11, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Portal
Just wait I'm not finished yet. I'll message you when it's done.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 21:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ok I have pretty much finished with the portals layout. I have added Rotating content to the portal so you won't always see the same thing on each visit, I have added the portal to the portal directory, and make sure you always add the code {{portal|Bohol|Ph seal bohol.png}} to the "see also" or "references" sections of any Bohol related articles. That code will add the box below. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 22:23, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you! I will make an announcement in WT:PINOY as well as in emails to the Bohol congressmen, gov, notable people, etc. Perhaps a newspaper release is also in order for the local weekly this Sunday. Thank you sooooo much! Let us keep in touch. I will send you a copy of the launch announcement via email. Again, thank you for the people of Bohol...--Ate Pinay (talk•email) 22:26, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Just wanted to say thank you for the barnstar and also let you know that I created a ribbon for receipients of the Philippine Barnstar, I also added it to the WikiProject.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 02:32, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- If you take a look at the ribbons at the top of my userpage. I usually add a star when I receive the same award twice.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 02:42, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
You'll never get the portal protected for just that you will need to just pay close attention to it. Also one of the images on the banner you gave me had some problems around the edges when compressed so I edited the problem areas are recreated the image as a PNG file you can the orininal is File:Citilogo.gif and here is the one I created File:Citilogo.png Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 03:20, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- I added the Philippine nav bar the problem is half of the categories don't excist so theywill have to be created and then article will need to be added to that category.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 20:22, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well never mind. I created the Philippines its own template so everything matches up. Hope that works for you.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 20:46, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
...has passed GA. Congratulations and good work. - Mocko13 05:02, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Um, ate hindi po ako tumulong sa article na ito. Pero po tumulong ako sa Chocolate Hills ng kaunti. Pasensya na po pero hindi po ako deserving for the award. GA na nga po ba yung article? Lenticel 01:33, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your posting in Talk:Inabanga, Bohol. I am interested in whatever information and images you have of the town. You can email me through the Wikipedia mail by clicking on email after my name here -->--Pinay (talk•email) 00:36, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
I can send you pictures of the town of Inabanga if you like, I am from North Carolina, USA but travel routinely to this city in Bohol as I like the pleasant people, the nice scenery and the feeling of the town.
To get from North Carolina, USA to Inabanga is an 8 hour plane trip to San Fransisco, a 12.5 hour trip to Manilla, 1.5 hour trip to Mactan Airport in Cebu City, a 2 hour ferry ride on a super ferry, a 2 hour jeepney ride and to get to Inabanga and to get to Buena Vista another 30 minutes on a motorcycle taxi.
Not to mention the typical 8 hour lay over in SFO airport.
16+12.5+1.5+1.0 (taxi to ferry)+2+2+.5 = 35.5 hours total.
Not exactly a quick ride, and yet I can get a Starbucks coffee 20 minutes from my house here in North Carolina, or 20 minutes from Mactan airport, Cebu in the SM mall.
I can in 20 minutes get to a Western Union here, or in 20 minutes get a Western Union there.
I can walk 5 minutes here and buy a Coke and I can walk 5 minutes there and get a Coke.
I can travel 20 minutes from Mactan Airport and go to an Ace hardware store or I can travel 20 minutes here and go to an Ace Hardware store.
Over 90% of the things you can buy from Sonny's Pharmacy in Inabanga I can buy from CVS or Eckerd drugs here.
Now you can even buy Gatorade in both places.
35.5 hours away from each other, and yet common history, common things, common emotions, and common people trying to get by day to day.
We truly are all just people, trying to get by, living by whatever means we can and holding on to our handful of joy, and living with our small cup of sorrow. All of us love and, hopefully, have been loved. We are one big, jumbled messy, powerful, colorful, stupid, dysfunctional, sarcastic, complaining, blessed family.
Let me know if you'd like some pictures, you will need to tell me how to send them to you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.211.247.57 (talk) 03:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC).
