This article in NO way is neutral as it stands now. As it stands now, it is VERY one sided, and DOES contain FALSE information from sources which I don't know how a person can consider as creditable

First, yes Bushman is a member of the Church, but NOT a General Authority of the Church or authorized to declare what its doctrines should be. That really is not the issue though. The issue is that although the article has been written by both Mormons and Non Mormons alike, the only part of the entire article that is accurate is the general time line and general story line. The article is full of events that plainly did not happen, and other events that are explained by severe enemies of both the Church and of Joseph Smith, many of which could be easily dismissed if a person takes the time to LOOK at the personal account of Joseph's life written by his OWN hand? Hum, how much better a source can you get than that? The article doesn't just give the "neutral" facts as you have stated it does, but is EXTREMELY one sided, making, yes, blatant lies about things that never even happened. But I guess that is just my being a research assistant for some time speaking now, huh! Ya, I guess when you have actually READ THE REAL FIRST HAND DOCUMENTS OUT OF A SPECIAL COLLECTIONS LIBRARY THAT IS JUST MEANINGLESS, ISN'T IT....! Your site stinks! I will not donated to Wikipedia in the future.

CSD for Test Patterns for Living

So, you tagged an article I had just started (within four minutes of creating it). That's kinda quick off the mark, isn't it? When you tagged it, all I had so far was the infobox, so naturally it didn't have any context. I have since fleshed out details of the EP, the personnel, appearances of songs, etc. It may only be a stub, but it's at least got context now. Might you retract the CSD request now? Hi. When considering tagging a new article with CSD:A1 (no context) or CSD:A3 (no content), it is generally advised to wait at least 10 minutes from creation, as editors cannot reasonably be expected to satisfy such criteria with their first edit (there's a guideline somewhere, but I can't remember where it is right now). It's well worth spending some time really getting to understand the categories at WP:CSD. I only recently noticed the repeated vandalism you countered from Portugese IP 79.169.235.214 [1] at Paulo Pires. Good looking out. The lastest batch of nearly identical vandalisms[2] from Portugese IPs 89.153.224.102 [3] and 81.84.141.67 [4] appear to be of the same type and nature as those from IP 79.169.235.214. Is this enough quacking to block the second set of IPs as well? As the page protection from the article has just been removed,[5] I am expecting another onslaught. Have you considered requesting assistance from WT:WikiProject Business? A relevant WikiProject (if one is active) is often a good place to start, and if there are some experienced editors, they may have seen this sort of thing before.

I'm a little leery of posting at the Village Pump (miscellaneous), because you might end up with too many people. Collaboration frequently works best with a rather small number of people, and I believe you've already got three active.

As a next step, I suggest that you take anything out of Chicago's sandbox that you think is all right and add it to the article. It's usually best to get the non-controversial stuff out of the way first.

I've put the article (but not Chicago's sandbox) on my watchlist, and will keep an eye out for it, but I no longer systematically check all pages on my watchlist, so don't hesitate to ping me if you think I missed something important. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:45, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

TAGteach

Hi, I'm new to posting on wikipedia so I'd be grateful for any help. What I'm trying to do is to post about TAGteach. You are correct that it is problematic that this might mean promoting the company TAGteach International. However, the methodology of TAGteach is spreading rapidly and lots of people are searching for information about it outside the company's web page, which I think is a good thing. Since the use of this teaching technology is now spread worldwide, subjected to research published in a peer reviewed journal, and discussed in several books, I definitely think it should be searchable on wikipedia. Just a quick heads-up: On Quora [7], you were recently praised for your work on mitigating COI problems, and recommended as a go-to person for others who have such problems.

Myself I'd like to commend your recent work on Vector Marketing (having had that problem article watchlisted for years). In my observation COI editing is a big and growing problem, and there are too few Wikipedians who take care of it.

Ciao, the speedy deletion criterion G4 does not apply to articles that have been previously deleted speedily, say as A7. Semibeings

Since I've seen you in the copyvio area recently, you should be aware GFDL has not been a compatible license for importing text since 1 November 2008. We require CC-BY-SA or compatible now. You can read Wikipedia:Licensing update for all of the gory details.

In this case it's a fixable problem because the text was here first and instapedia is just a mirror, it just had to be restored from a deleted version of the article in order to get the attribution back for the original authors. Cheers! VernoWhitney (talk) 21:05, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

The Potter's House, UK

The article I created yesterday has been deleted. I can't fully understand/accept why this is the case as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abundant_Life_Church seems to 'promote' far more than I did. I have been purposely neutral when writing the article. One user did actually post some advice for me on the page, which was very helpful, but I never got time to alter anything as the page was deleted. Can you help me out? Give me a few pointers about how I might get the article back online and working, even if requires some adjustments? Compute Canada

Hi. You did a speedy deletion of my Compute Canada page within a hour or so of my creating it. I can't see the reasons anymore, hence this note. I thought I understood the issues you raised (as best I recall now that I am home)but you really didn't allow much time for me to correct them. Compute Canada is not a company promoting a product, but is an umbrella organization for the seven national high performance computing centres in Canada. Each of which, except for one I believe, has a Wikipedia page to which I added an appropriate link. While I grant there was considerable hyperbole in the paragraph I grabbed to start the document, I was trying to edit that out. I would think a national organization supporting a couple of thousands researchers would to be able to meet the basic requirements of relevance and need not be deleted before an author had a chance to really edit it. But perhaps I am incorrect and I wanted to ask for the rationale for the very rapid deletion.

Your behaviour here is bitey and needlessly terse. Please refrain from leaving "lol" edit summaries and sardonic replies to a good-faith contributor trying to write an article - particularly when your reply misidentifies what policy says. A7 applies only when there is no claim to significance, not when there is no claim to notability. Significance is a far lower standard. Maybe you can handle this one. User:Jslipscomb is the son of a famous chemist. This editor has spent much of his editing energies building up a biography for his father and inserting information in many pages that enhances his father's legacy. I have doubts about the WP:NFCC#1 replaceable claim because he is still alive and we don't usually accept images of living people where a freely licenced image might be possible, even if it is not immediate. Hello phearson Im writing to you as I saw in my talk page that the article that I have been writing about taino has some issues. Im not a company affiliated to Taino. The reason for writing this article is due to the fact of Taino's importance in the Puerto Rican Community as a composer of a major song thats is part of puerto rican history. Their is a documentary inspired on this song and he happens to be the composer and singer of it. This song is constantly sang at major cultural events and sport events. I decided to add more info on his career so people would know how he go started and what he has done. I have looked at pages for other artists in wikipedia to get Ideas on how to best word this article. Im willing to work with you in order to make the article to wikipedias standard.

Well, generally we don't include hat-notes to warn the reader that they may be reading incorrect information. Everything on Wikipedia to a degree should be correct and Verifiable. Sorry to bother you, but i have found your advice helpful in the past, and I was wondering whether you could assist me with a problem in relation to Peter Nelson.

The link i just posted is an article about an actor. Recently i created an article about a cyclist with the same name Peter Nelson (cyclist). I have recently discovered that there are several other articles about people called peter nelson, including Peter Nelson, 9th Earl Nelson and Peter Nelson Mwanza.

The problem that i am finding is that whenever you search for Peter Nelson, you find the article about the actor. I believe that the search for Peter Nelson should be redirected to a disambiguation page of the same name where links are presented to each of the individual articles.

My problem at the moment is that i dont know how to do this. When i search for peter nelson i find no red link to create a disambiguation page. At the same time when i try to redirect the Peter Nelson page to Peter Nelson (actor) it tells me i am not allowed to.

I would like to request your assistance to at least give me instruction on how to fix this problem.

Of course you haven't made a mistake. It was an orphan. But I am the one working on the article, and I don't need to be told it's an orphan: those tags are irritating. You are not obligated to fix the articles you mark at high frequency, but you are also not obligated to operate your bot. At the very least, I hope you won't throw "SOFIXIT" around as the justification for your bot, and I hope that you won't forget to edit by hand, which involves judgment and an assessment of context, which your bot lacks.
