New article and don't know why it got deleted

[edit]

I created an article, was trying to change its name and all of the sudden it gave me a red box with some info about redirects. I'm no expert at wikipedia. I'd like to delete that article make sure it's not published or be able to get it back and make the final edits, was just missing a couple of references. I'm not entirely sure what information you're looking for. Your draft is at User:Maria.viquez.mca/sandbox/Michael Cizmar, which was moved because you originally put it in the wrong place (it's now a subpage of your user space). You can continue working on it there, and submit it for review when you're ready (I've added the AFC draft tags at the top). If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. To reply directly to me, start your message with {{u|Primefac}}Primefac (talk) 15:05, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Maria.viquez.mca. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 15:11, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

Primefac

Thank you! I'd like to move this to a place where is public, not under my personal space or anywhere private. Or if it's easier, I'd like to know how to simply delete it so I can start it over in the right place. This bio is meant to be read by anyone searching that name.

  • Your draft is in a space where it will be reviewed and then moved into main space, if the reviewer thinks it's ready. If I were the reviewer, I would not think this is ready: there isn't a single secondary source verifying any of the information or proving that the subject is notable, and the tone is not neutral or encyclopedic. It reads like the kind of biography one writes up for LinkedIn. In addition, you still need to declare your COI; that you have one is obvious. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 16:29, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) At this exact point in time, that page is not acceptable for inclusion on Wikipedia. It currently fails The Golden Rule, in that you have no independent reliable sources that talk specifically about Cizmar. The Fortune article is perfectly fine for verifying that he works for MC+A, but that's about it (in other words, it's just a passing mention). Even if I were to move this to the Article space, it would be deleted. As it stands, you are better off editing the draft and improving it to meet Wikipedia's standards.
