Happy Birthday!

Happy First Edit Day!

Edit to Indigenous Peoples Wiki Page

Hello, The edit in question was done because the "Turkic Peoples" section was listed twice under "Eurasian Steppe" as well as "Eastern Europe". The Turkic Peoples section should only be listed under "Eurasian Steppe". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunnyziggler (talkcontribs) 21:44, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

"Theloderma" andersoni

Your deletion tag at Template:Taxonomy/"Theloderma" has introduced "Lua error in Module:Autotaxobox at line 156: attempt to index a nil value" at "Theloderma" andersoni. If you know how to fix that, please do so. Otherwise, perhaps remove the tag and think about adding it once the issue is sorted out. Johnuniq (talk) 07:23, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

@Johnuniq: I have made a temporary fix. Any addition to a taxonomy template outside the allowed parameters of {{Don't edit this line}} screws up the automated taxobox system, sometimes in multiple articles.
@Logan: if you add such notices to a taxonomy template, you must (a) delete or fully comment out the {{Don't edit this line}} template (b) alter any articles or other taxonomy templates that use the taxonomy template you have changed. Otherwise every article or other taxonomy template that uses the affected one will display errors. Fortunately in this case only one article was affected, which I have temporarily fixed. Peter coxhead (talk) 07:41, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
That template is way over my head. I see you posted at Loopy30's talk. Thanks. Johnuniq (talk) 07:49, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Articles for Creation: List of reviewers by subject notice

Hi Logan, you are receiving this notice because you are listed as an active Articles for Creation reviewer.

Recently a list of reviewers by area of expertise was created. This notice is being sent out to alert you to the existence of that list, and to encourage you to add your name to it. If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.

To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!

Sent to all Articles for Creation reviewers as a one-time notice. To opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page. Regards, Sam-2727 (talk)

Grylloblattodea classification

Hi. Just FYI, the classification in ITIS dates to 2000, but in 2006 Grylloblattodea was relegated to a suborder of Notoptera. ITIS is very badly outdated for this and a lot of higher classification. Peace, Dyanega (talk) 22:14, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Requests for Kentucky peer review requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! The kitten of mistakes past

I'm 23 years old now and signed into my account that I haven't used in a long time. Looking through my 5 or so previous edits, 12 year old self vandalized a few pages because it was funny. Now Wikipedia is by far one of my most cherished sites and I'd like to thank you for helping keeping it moderated since then.

WP:AFC Helper News

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:00, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vysokyi Zamok (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
