Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bella da Semana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brazilian. Thanks for doing that-I think I noticed that it was changed but I was so tired that I didn't feel like seeing what has happened. Goes to show sometimes smaller missed articles might have had something happen years ago without being caught. (Well I did catch something a vandal did on a page I made but by the time I caught it, it was months later I was going "I'm pretty sure this guy is not a professional squirrel wrangler") But yeah thanks for getting it back to English! - You're welcome! I'd overlooked that kind of thing a couple of times previously, where an existing article had been de-anglicized, so by now it was in my head to check the details given the circumstances that you'd pointed out. I like the bit of mischief about the squirrel wrangler. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:51, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Christopher von Deylen
You tagged Christopher von Deylen with {{BLP sources}} and {{unreliable sources}}, but both are incorrect. These templates claim there are at least some citations ("needs additional citations") and sources ("this article's listed sources"), but there are no citations or sources. Your edit that removed the {{BLP unsourced}} template was therefore also not correct. The entries in the External links section are not formatted and identified as references, thus they are not references. They could be reformatted as references, but currently they are not. INresponse to speedy deletion
This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... Our intent is not promotional, it is historical. These are facts: Sean Did start his own practice while in his 20's and did grow it to 120 employees on his own. He has ventured in to many other professions since then to include, public speaking, business coaching, TV show production, and is currently writing a book. We hired an outside person to write the page for us as we thought an internal person would have an obvious conflict of interest. We will consult the writer immediately and start revisions immediately to ensure Wikipedia compliance. We respectfully request time to fix and ensure compliance as this is our first attempt at creating a page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scallagy (talk • contribs) 16:06, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- As I just replied on the article's Talk page: If you are Sean Callagy or from his firm and if you are paying someone to write this article about him, then that writer inherently has a conflict of interest. If the article exists at the behest of its subject then a conflict of interest is at hand. Besides that, article topics have to meet the notability guidelines, taking into account the additional guidelines for people. Based on a Google search I don't see evidence of the sort of substantive coverage in independent reliable sources that would be required. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:15, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Bhante Indacanda
Hello Largoplazo. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Bhante Indacanda, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: possibly notable, if translated - I will list at WP:PNT. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 16:00, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, John. Really? The article is about a person who translates classical texts, which doesn't strike me as an occupation for which people become noted, and I didn't see anything in the article that I could interpret as a claim of significance. Google finds only ten hits for his name, all but maybe one of them from wikis and one WordPress blog and social media sites. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:25, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe you're right, we'll see. At a first look I thought there was just enough there to get it over A7. Maybe I was just tired of deleting things - there were 245 in the speedy-deletion queue this morning. JohnCD (talk) 18:28, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

On the deletion of Valguard
In what ways can I improve upon the article to not make it deleted in the future? It was written as objectively as possible and I tried to show notability by outlining the role of a Valguard security officer in a recent robbery. Can you give me any steps for improvement in the future? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pinkfloydfan97 (talk • contribs) 12:55, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hello. Right up to the point where you related the report on the robbery the article read pretty much like an ad, describing in great detail all the services the company provides. Regarding the robbery, I see what you were getting at, but it didn't really convey anything substantial about the company. The article was about the robbery; the company that the guard worked for was fairly incidental. Take a look at the notability guidelines and additional guidelines for businesses to see what level of direct, substantial coverage (not WP:ROUTINE or incidental) is required to demonstrate notability. —Largo Plazo (talk) 02:09, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
Lutino cockatiels
Hello, Largoplazo
the cockatiel is very known as small-sized Companion parrot such as rosy-faced lovebird.
about article i tried to add it as stub (with 5 references) in Wikipedia for improving and expanding it , is similar to Lutino rosy-faced lovebird mutation (only with one reference) or like Ino budgerigar mutation.
this article should to belong to Lutino Parakeet mutation category or bird lutino mutation category.
in the same way, i like to add this stub under the heading "Pied cockatiel mutation", as first colour mutation in cockatiel colour genetics.
I'm not shy to asking help
thanks

(content management taxonomy) vs. Tag management system (marketing technology) articles
Hello, These articles should be disambiguated, not merged. The subjects are entirely different: one is to do with with managing categories of content (a function of content management systems), the other with managing "marketing tags", which are the typically JavaScript snipped used behind the scenes to interface marketing tracking technologies. - Sorry, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and you weren't taking that seriously. I didn't bite you, I let you know that the articles were being deleted because they couldn't be allowed to stay, and I asked you not to post pages like that.
- Since you're so new that you didn't realize that animal humor isn't what Wikipedia is for, I'm surprised that you're so familiar with Wikipedia catchphrases like "Don't bite the newbies" and "Assume good faith".

Chase 'N Yur Face
Hello there
You earlier informed me that my Chase page was being Speed Deleted. As this is the first post I have attempted, I am not sure where I am gone wrong so I would really appreciate a more detailed explanation if possible.
If I am able to ensure the page better complies with Wikipedia rules, will there be a chance for it to be reconsidered.
Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sara Caroline Stewart (talk • contribs) 21:03, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello. Wikipedia calls for article to be about topics that are judged "notable" based on any of a number of criteria that are discussed at WP:Notability (with alternative criteria applicable to websites available at WP:NWEB). These typically have to do with signs that the subject of the article has achieved note elsewhere. I ran a Google search on this website and couldn't find much in the way of substantial mention of it in independent reliable sources. An article that doesn't meet any of the notability criteria is subject to deletion. Speedy deletion is provided when the article itself doesn't really indicate what's distinctive about the topic. Please don't misunderstand me: I appreciate what the blog is about, and the Baileys' situation, but that isn't the issue here.
- If you can demonstrate that the website does meet any of the applicable notability thresholds, and can identify them in the article (see WP:Citing sources), then an article about it will be welcome. —Largo Plazo (talk) 03:33, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Simio Page
This page should not be speedily deleted because it is in reference to a simulation software company. Other companies appear on your website as well with less citation and content: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flexsim https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arena_(software) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AnyLogic — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erichoward82 (talk • contribs) 16:12, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS for the pitfalls of comparing a page you've created with other pages. As I mentioned earlier on the Simio talk page, which you might not have seen before it was deleted, I looked at the Flexsim page--and it was FULL of subjective and WP:PEACOCK language, all of which I cut out, thanks to your having drawn my attention to it.. Based on the references it supplies as well as others I found, I can accept that the product might be borderline WP:NOTABLE.
- The article you wrote is for your own company and reads like an ad or like something a company would have in its own promotional material. Wikipedia is absolutely not to be used for promotion. —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:32, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
infoboxes-
An infobox provides information which can be easily converted to sentences. It is content for the purposes of speedy deletion, if there is actually come content present. to the best of my knowledge in the last 8 years of experience there all speedies on the basis of "just an inforbox" have been reverted at Deletion review. Ichanged the tag to a Prod, which is the best way to go for this. DGG ( talk ) 05:28, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Well, regarding "It is content for the purposes of speedy deletion, if there is actually come content present," where's that written? It seemed reasonable to me that the point of db-nocontent is that if you're going to create an article, let there be an article. An infobox has information, but it isn't an article. By any chance were the reversals at Deletion Review contingent on the petitioner agreeing to add content? If an infobox is a bar against db-nocontent, then the template and the details at WP:CSD A3 need to be revised, would you agree? Otherwise this is just folklore.
- As far as restoring the speedy tag is concerned, I figured it would get a pass on the grounds of its removal having been a mistake in understanding the guidelines, as opposed to a difference regarding the article itself. But I'm not disputing the outcome. —Largo Plazo (talk) 05:35, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank you Larzo
Thank you Larzo, for the proposal. Everything is being worked on to make the content better please however, i humbly inform you that all other existing information is valid and verifiable. - Hi. Just to be clear, the issue I raised was notability, which is independent of the content, though the content and good references can make a topic's notability clear where might otherwise not be. —Largo Plazo (talk) 02:45, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Picking speedy deletion reasons
Hi! I see you added a speedy deletion template to Pestatarian as a "blatant and obvious hoax", along with an author talk page message describing the article as "inappropriate". I agree that this article qualifies for speedy deletion as non-verifiable/non-notable, but this doesn't seem to be an effort at a hoax - it looks like the author tried to contribute a good-faith article from their own knowledge, probably about a term they use themselves. I would suggest leaving the hoax/inappropriate phrasing for bad-faith vandalism, to avoid discouraging brand-new contributors. Thanks! Dreamyshade (talk) 00:08, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- I understand your point, but I feel fairly confident that it was a hoax. —Largo Plazo (talk) 03:40, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- A while back I merged kangatarianism into kangaroo meat (Kangaroo meat#Kangatarianism) - it's a similar concept, eating no meat except an animal that is a pest in Australia, and it's documented as a term in several sources, along with other mentions of terms for people in Australia who eat other unwanted animals, like cameltarianism. There is also the word "invasivore" for people who like eating invasive species. Dreamyshade (talk) 05:29, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- Interesting. OK, so I may have been mistaken. Thanks for the explanation. I guess I'll make a point of saving db-hoax for articles that are clearly contradictory to reality. —Largo Plazo (talk) 11:21, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, that seems like a reasonable guideline. Dreamyshade (talk) 11:04, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Researching archived WP articles
Greetings, I saw that you found the DOB for Marion Christopher Barry. I'd been looking for that, but non of my Google searches were successful. Could you tell me how you came across it? I'm still relatively new and I suspect there are some resources I could have used which would have been more efficient. Did you just search the WP archives? Or is there more? Thanks. Bangabandhu (talk) 19:28, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, and welcome. Yes, I ran a search for something like barry effi christopher birth on the Washington Post website itself and then selected the option for an archive search. See this set of search results. Material like this is stored in databases, and Google won't have access to it unless a link to it appears somewhere on a live web page that would lead Google to it. In cases like that you need to bypass Google. Regards —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:34, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! That's helpful advice. Bangabandhu (talk) 18:46, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

its a shame that someone is continuously violating terms of registered trademarks.and my orginal article submitted by me has been edited as and when i edit it.

If you consider other people's edits of the article you created to be "violations", you may be misunderstanding how Wikipedia works. —Largo Plazo (talk) 02:07, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia's policy on account sharing is at Wikipedia:Username policy#Shared accounts. If Wikipedia policy makes an exception of which I'm unaware, can you direct me to it?
- You can certainly work on a project together without sharing an account. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:50, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Signs inviting deletion
I reckon a paragraph about the subject's infant and junior school career (if a person), or a lengthy mission statement plus a full set of profiles of the 'key people' (if an organisation), are both good indications too. Peridon (talk) 16:16, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Romai Sportswear
- This article was first speedy deleted by User:Peridon on 25 Dec 2014, following nomination by User:DGG
- It was created again on 1 March 2015 by User:Romaiwiki , probably on behalf of the company
- At 05.11 today DGG nominated the page for a speedy deletion
- At 06.44 DGG nominated for AFD, but undid that edit in less than a minute (same timestamp)
- It looks as if DGG's AFD was an error which he immediately reverted, but of course the AFD itself had been set up by the first 06.44 edit, and a bot replaced the template at 07.02
- I deleted at 14.50
I agreed with the speedy nomination, I've blocked the spam user name, and I think the AFD was an error, so I don't see any problem with my deletion. I am, of course willing to consider any points I may have overlooked Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:56, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I very nearly deleted it, but thought it better not to in view of the previous pairing on it... I've closed the AfD, anyway. Peridon (talk) 16:09, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I had placed the AfD without noticing that I had already placed the speedy. I tried to reverse it, but I may not have succeeded in time. Thanks for cleaning up. DGG ( talk ) 18:33, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I had no problem with the deletion, I just noticed that the reason given in the edit summary seemed awry given what I was able to observe at that moment, and wanted to touch base about it. Thanks! —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:45, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Dude, what the fuck. Why are you deleting my album page for mastamind? It's one of his legit albums..
- That's an interesting way to phrase a message to someone from whom you were probably hoping for a thoughtful response. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:34, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Thoughtful? You're the one removing a great article.. If there's a page for Mastamind, why can't there be pages for his albums? Makes no sense to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jespon (talk • contribs) 05:17, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
sports hall
Now I agree that there is no need to Capitalize. But I think it should be 'halls' instead of 'hall' since phrase says 'one of the'.

Patent nonsense
From WP:CSD#G1: "Pages consisting entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. This excludes poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, implausible theories, vandalism and hoaxes, fictional material, coherent non-English material, and poorly translated material." The Truth Behind Pancakes is not incoherent or gibberish, so G1 doesn't apply. It's really either a deliberate attempt to disrupt (G3, hoax), or there's not enough context to understand the work of fiction it's from (A1, no context.) The text doesn't show that it was made up by the author, so A11 doesn't apply. —C.Fred (talk) 03:04, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- It sure fits my definition of incoherence. —Largo Plazo (talk) 07:58, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
TrackingTheWorld

Please view the changes and leave a message if further items should be changed. We will cooperate and edit to avoid speedy deletion. Tlatoz123 (talk) 18:31, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- I agree, speedy deletion would no longer be appropriate. I've removed the tag. —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:33, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

ERC Institute
Hi Largo Plazo,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for reviewing the "ERC Institute" page.
I notice that the page I created "ERC Institute" has been recommended for speedy deletion by you. The writing was factual and neutral, leaving out emotional verbs and superfluous description of the institute. The page has been modeled after other Private Education Institutes in Singapore - PSB Academy, EASB East Asia Institute of Management. On top of that, the references and citations are not from ERC's website, unlike PSB and EASB which uses sources mainly from their own websites. The citations and URLs used were from government and various international university websites. These universities are internationally known, and have their own wiki pages as well.
Some examples of non-neutral description by EASB and PSB:
East Asia Institute of Management provide a "comprehensive" range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across major disciplines
PSB Academy is one of the "largest" private education institutions in Singapore
In what manner would the above 2 pages not be deemed for promotional purposes only and be deleted in the same capacity as ERC Institute?
Macwyn Liu (talk) 08:22, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Macwyn Liu — Preceding unsigned comment added by Macwyn Liu (talk • contribs)
- Hello. There is no article at PSB Academy, and EASB East Asia Institute of Management was deleted about a half hour ago for consisting of chunks of text copied from Facebook. It's a fair question, but also understand that about half the time someone raises it I find that the articles aren't comparable, and the other half of the time I find that the articles raised in comparison actually do merit deletion as well! See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS for more on that topic. In any event, I wouldn't be able to do a real comparison because I no longer have access to the ERC Institute article. —Largo Plazo (talk) 10:20, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Now that the article has been restored momentarily, I'm reminded of the marketing language it contains. This includes expressing the intentions behind its existence (intentions are not factually verifiable information) in a way that promotes it: "education with a difference", "raise the bar in education services in Singapore". One wouldn't expect a reference article to mention such trivia as that it's "located centrally at 30 Prinsep Street, it is near Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station and Bras Basah MRT Station". This is clearly intended to increase the school's appeal to potential students. The rest of the article reads like a brochure for the school, not like a reference article. —Largo Plazo (talk) 15:11, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
agh
hello! this guy NawlinWiki deleted my article. I asked some time to finish it but he deleted it...I do not understand in what was the problem...he said that article was promotion/advertising. Is not Bank of Georgia promotion/advertising?Gghonghadze (talk) 19:05, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- I didn't feel it was promotional when I nominated it for deletion, but he may have felt otherwise. My concern was whether the article gave a credible indication of why there would be an encyclopedia article on it. Holding companies are generally fairly anonymous anyway, I think, and having a portfolio of only three hotels doesn't seem to raise a holding company to encyclopedic status. I know you wrote that it's the largest and fastest growing holding company in the hospitality industry in Georgia, but that's a fairly constricted segment that you mapped out for it when you said that, so I wasn't sure I considered that to be an accomplishment per se. Also, being fastest growing is (a) relative and (b) temporary. It could mean that the business has experienced 25% annual growth for ten years running, but it could also mean that it's come out ahead only in recent months, experiencing an annualized growth rate of 1.5% in the last year while other businesses experienced 1.4%. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:29, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- As I generally do when I submit article for deletion for reasons like these, I do, in good faith, run an on-line search to see whether there's the sort of substantial coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject that qualifies the subject for inclusion under Wikipedia's notability guidelines. But there's hardly any mention of it, at least that Google finds. Compare the reference list at the bottom of Bank of Georgia.
- If you feel you can rewrite the article to make a better case for it, and in addition can find sources to cite that establish it as complying with the general notability guidelines or the additional guidelines for businesses, you're welcome to. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:26, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
