- Can you give me some idea of what was wrong with the page and which policies the page doesn't conform with? Kps2015 (talk) 21:12, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Centenary Action
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Centenary Action requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:02, 22 October 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Centenary Action

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Centenary Action requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Centenary Action. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - This recreation of a deleted article in Wikipedia space was bad behavior for multiple reasons. Consensus has already established this subject is non-notable as an article. Recreating it in draft space would normally be acceptable. Recreating it in Wikipedia space is disallowed under any circumstances. BusterD (talk) 12:34, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- No, that is incorrect. The page was rejected because it was not properly referenced. Those references have now been added. For example, the organisation is referenced on the BBC website:
- How can you argue that it is not notable?
- To suggest that this page should not be allowed because a different, previous page, was not allowed makes no sense. Kps2015 (talk) 09:46, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- That's a nice article about Helen Pankhurst, which makes some mention of Centenary Action but not enough for the article you are presumably still being paid to write (I see no evidence that you have declared any WP:COI or WP:PAID status, but it came up in the previous deletion discussion). It isn't "significant coverage" in multiple reliable independent published sources.
- A page exists at Draft:Centenary Action, largely the work of another editor. Please work with them on that and submit it to be considered for approval through the standard process when it is ready, rather than trying to bypass the system by creating a page in the wrong place ("Wikipedia:" is for admin stuff about Wikipedia, not for articles).
