Temple Grandin's book
Very nicely done article! The book itself is excellent and thought-provoking. I could not find enough notability sources to feel confident of meeting notability, and am very glad to see the article. Thank you. - Sinneed 22:00, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! We have Thinking in Pictures at home, but I haven't read it yet. I was actually looking for sources to write that article, I came up unsuccessful, however I found the ones for Animals in Translation so decided to go from there. Cheers.--kelapstick (talk) 22:20, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Bios
Thanks for the heads up. I like to think that with each article I learn something new. As to the DAmbP for Tom, I created that one as it was needed, due to several TH's. can you point me to a couple of Bio's you think are really well done? That would be even more help. At least partly because when I tried to edit one your way, someone else came back to me a told me to do it this way.Д-рСДжП,ДС 23:21, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
That's all very helpful, thanks. Except your version has the DC degree before the BA and that's the hearse before the horse. :) If you would like to be reallllly helpful, I would really appreciate someone taking the bull by the horns and redacting the bio I have on my user page at User:Drsjpdc/Stephen J. Press2, then moving it to a live page. I know its too busy, but everything is well referenced, and there's relly no notability issue anymore, especially since the FICS page is past AfD on that issue, and I was the founder. At the moment I am doing everyone else's bio's and no one to post mine :(
BTW: If you are interested, there's now 1 and the associated blog at 2. Love to have your input there too, on general matters.Д-рСДжП,ДС 00:02, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Several have looked at it; DigitalC, DGG (an Admin) and others; no one disputes the notability issue, some just feel there's too much there. Truly appreciate your doing that, it would be a great holiday gift.
BTW: if you look at Wikichiro, we got the blog working too. Love to have you visit and input there. Perhaps we can sort of use this site to sandbox further ideas for pedia? Д-рСДжП,ДС 17:54, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know exactly what Drsjpdc means by "no one disputes the notability issue", but unless he means "everyone agrees that the subject is non-notable" then it's not the case. Bongomatic 21:01, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- I would agree with you Bongo, I am not clearly on side with notability issues, however a case could be made that he meets Wikipedia:Notability (academics) as president of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic. I however do not like the "this person held this office, so they meet inclusion criteria" arguments, and am sketchy on chiropractic journals being independent enough to be used to establish notability for chiropractors. Regardless I had looked at Dr. Press' page a while ago and saw it was something of a Gong Show, so when I was asked, I performed some cleanup work. Regardless, I am not going to move it over until there is what I consider a third party reference included (again chiropractic journals are not enough for me), but I think I was able to tweak the tone and material enough to improve it should someone decide to take it live. --kelapstick (talk) 21:34, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Well, I appreciate the effort (I think). Though it may have been not a little disingenuous if the idea was then not to accept the basis that the "founding of, and serving as president, of an Internationally recognized agency that changed Sports Chiropractic forever, per se makes for notability, and then to tell someone who challenges virtually every positive article about chiropractic's "notability", that you have no plans on having it go prime time. You also removed at least a couple of the foreign NEWSPAPER's article that covered meetings in their countries WITH photo spreads, with their Ministers of Sport and top General, etc. that would have seriously contributed to the whole notability issue, thereby playing directly into the goals of those who would prevent this. Do you really think that a kindness? In Russian we have an expression for that; медвежа услуга, "a Bear's service". It means someone does something initially intended to be kind, and by dint of performing the kindness, manages to step on your toes. Regards. Is that what you really intended??? BTW: Are medical journals enough to prove an MD's "notability" ? If so, and I think there are plenty of examples out there, then this is an unfair double standard. See WP:ANYBIO criterion 2, and also 1, (i.e. the "FICS's Gold Medal".
"Highest International Award for a sports Chiro...
How does this not qualify, if the rules apply to us the same as for others? :( Д-рСДжП,ДС 22:02, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- Feel free to revert my edits, however I was going through and removing what I didn't see as pertinent to an encyclopedia article, such as
- During the trip, he met with the Sports Minister of Venezuela, Sra. Flor Isava-Fonseca, and discussed the future recognition of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic, by the IOC
- Maybe it's just me, but I don't qualify that detail as being appropriate for an encyclopedia article about someone. You went to Venezuela and met with somebody and discussed something. Who you talked to and what you discussed on a given trip is far to detailed a subject for an encyclopedia. As for winning the gold medal from the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic, I see it as this way, you were given an award by an organization that you founded, I don't consider that to be enough for ANYBIO. I'm not saying I am fighting for deletion should it go live, but I am not going to be the one to take it there. If you want to put in information that I removed, go ahead, but you asked me to review it and I took down what I thought was inappropriate. --kelapstick (talk) 22:21, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
What about my having been the ONLY DC ever to serve in any capacity on the Medical Commission of any IOC recognized international federation; and I was Chairman of one, and founded the other (and for 200 Countries) i.e., (FIDE)? I was the one who was put in the position to first tell the World Chess Champions that they ahd to pee in a cup? :) This really was a cause celébre, and you took all that out too, including the articles in the NY newspapers that mentioned that!! That night I was in Massachusetts at the USCF meeting, Jay Leno did his monologue about me. How is this not notable, unless is only due to my being a DC. If that had been anyone else, I daresay this would not be questioned. And, BTW: I didn't ask for the FICS medal, that was the Board of Directors, who had been duly elected by the representatives of the then 40 Countries in FICS. They totally surprised me with that award. Maybe these people acting independently on behalf of the Nations that elected them actually thought I earned that medal? Д-рСДжП,ДС 23:08, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- I was torn on the chess issue, and I am not saying that you were involved in giving yourself a medal. The key is neutrality, and as it sat it looked like a resume. Feel free to add it (in prose, not in list format), and I can tweak it (not simply remove it) as required, if you want. --kelapstick (talk) 23:12, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

SJP Bio and request for advice
Firstly, have you see the brouhaha that was created by 3 over the fact that I helped platinumphotog.. create a user page? All of a sudden he's my sockpuppet and the whole article which you more than anyone wrote is poorly written trash!! That's of course, only because he thinks I wrote it. He was judging me as a suspected sockpuppeteer, and violator of COI, not a respected colleague. Wrong! I have written him a full explanation asking his to withdraw the accusations. I hope that he reconsiders his erroneus position.
Also, I have wracked my poor brains, but I cant understand why Dr. Auerbach's page as well as that of Dr. Tom Hyde are showing up on the category lists under their FIRST names. Any ideas?? Д-рСДжП,ДС 04:56, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have been "out of the loop" for the last week, Christmas and whatnot, but I have been reviewing it at a "high level". There are a few things I think you should understand, I saw Platinumphotographer and was suspicious. The thing here is WP:DUCK, his first order of business is to exclusively work on articles that you work on, including moving your biography into the mainspace. I am willing to assume good faith here and believe that it is a colleague of yours, since they have a DC infobox on their userpage and in their signature, however even someone working on your behalf (i.e. moving your bio into mainspace so it isn't done by you is still not cool.) So here is my point, I can understand why people would be suspicious of sock/meat puppetry. As far as calling the article trash, I don't think it was my best work, and I should have spent more time working on it, but I was pressed (with the holidays coming up), and truthfully I should have waited until I had more free time, which I don't think is coming anyway. Also, look at this history, you did start the article, even if you copied a previous version from somewhere, I think you started the original. As far as the COI issue, you will always have a COI when writing about yourself, even if you try not to, the perception will always be there. Which is why it is always best not to write about yourself (or a family member). I think that the only way you will "clear your name" is to go through a checkuser to make sure that you two aren't the same person.
- Another thing is, I meant to tell you that the degree scans are not appropriate (it was brought up on a talk page), what you need is to find a source that says where you got your degree, and cite that.
- This might not be what you would want to hear, but it is the way it is here. As for the sorting of the two articles above, you need to use a defaultsort template, for example , so that it is always sorted by his last name. Hope this helps. --kelapstick (talk) 17:14, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. I see that you have made several edits to this article, including proposing it for deletion. I do have a question for you please, I see that many editors here have their user names in different colors, do you know how to do that? PamelaBMX (talk) 16:11, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- You can edit your signature by using the preferences link at the top of the page. Under User Profile (the default screen) there is a signature section. You have to put the code for your new signature in there. There is a discussion here with some examples of how to use colours, and you should also read Wikipedia:Signatures for the relevant guidelines as to what you should and shouldn't use (example, you need a link to either your talk or user page, and you should make sure that colours that you use will still be distinguishable by people who are colour blind etc.) I haven't done much myself, but this should get you on the right path. Cheers. --kelapstick (talk) 16:26, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Solidworks
Thanks for the help on the solidworks article. I am unable at this time to work any of the info I found into the article, but I was able to find a handful of books written independantly of RS Solidworks Corp about the software. It is therefore notable according to the Wiki:Notability guildines. I have attached a link to the book in the talk page and removed the notability tag. In my opinion the tag should never have been added. However, the article still badly needs some 3rd party references incorporated into the article. Thanks again! Edits
Hello Sir - Just wondering why you undid my edits. I am trying to create the Embedded Systems Conference page and was trying to link it to other pages. Thanks! Nherbw (talk) 00:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I meant to mention this on your talk page, but neglected to. Typically you are encouraged to write the article about a subject before adding it to a list. Further to that, the conference you had listed had 10,000 in attendance, and while there is no hard and fast rule, the inclusion criteria has been about 50,000.--kelapstick (talk) 16:09, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the Information! I noticed that the conferences on that page had a lot more attendees! Anyway, I'm still new to this so thanks for your help. Nherbw (talk) 17:59, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Tom Hyde. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tom Hyde. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for keeping an eye and making improvements to this article. There seem to be two POV factions at work. One, 67.77.205.62 seems to by from Reid's campaign making edits like this. On the Anti-Reid side, 98.180.237.122, (and probably a sock 98.180.233.57 as they have the same edit patterns and both have the same Ohio location) have been making edits like this. Thank you for your excellent points
- from user talk:ikip:
I saw your post on MQS's page about Wikipedia:Wikiproject new user welcome, but (in my opinion) the scope of the project is not related to the title of the project. I understand that you are looking for ways to preserve the articles in question, however the title looks like you are looking for ways to ensure the articles are sourced properly in the first place...My opinion is they are both worthy causes, just your nomenclature is confusing. Cheers (and good luck). --kelapstick (talk) 19:16, 27 January 2010 (UTC) It is related indirectly now, I agree. What would you suggest as a new name? I can rename it temporarily, and name it back later when the project is expanded. I am sure there is already a project like this out there, I just couldn't find it.
I have been thinking of starting this project for some time. By hosting it on a user wikipage, we can get this off the ground without the lurkers trying to ruin it.
I envision the project expanding well beyond BLPs, to figure out how to retain newbies, but for now, the focus will be the BLP only.
Again, I really appreciate your insightful, intellegent comments.

Bacon Explosion
I saw that you removed my edit on the Bacon Explosion page. You state that a forum is not considered a reliable source. I disagree as all of the threads are dated and contain photographic documentation of the creation therefore proving of their existance. I personally (and many others that I know) have made things very similar to the Bacon Explosion and long before their claim that they invented it. www.smokingmeatforums.com is one of the most highly respected forums on the topic of smoking meats and other food related items. This forum is a component of http://www.smoking-meat.com/ which is the number one ranked smoking meat website on Google. This should provide proof enough for you please reinstate my edit made earlier today. Your reply would be appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.162.60.70 (talk) 02:23, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- As a founding member of the Bacon Cabal I appreciate the gravity of the situation, and understand what an impact a scandal such as this can have on the integrity of bacon dishes in all forms. However despite smoking-meat.com's status as the forum of record for all smoked meat, as a rule, Wikipedia does not permit the use of user generated content for use as a source in articles. User-generated material includes (but is not exclusive to), forums, blogs, myspace pages, and Wikipedia itself (that is to say you can not use a Wikipedia article as a source in another Wikipedia article). If you can find a reliable source (newspaper, magazine, etc.) that claims that the Bacon Explosion had been invented prior to what is shown in the article, I would be happy to integrate it into the article myself. Hope this helps.--kelapstick (talk) 16:27, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- As the current head-joker of the Bacon Cabal, I cannot but agree with what our founder has to say. Such claims need to be gotten to the bottom of, but all subsequent statements need to be verified and scrutinized and must adhere to Wikipedia's standards--if not, WP may forfeit its status and reputation as one of the more foremost founts of bacon lore and wisdom. Errors on your userpage
Just ran across your userpage, and I wanted to see the links for references 2 and 3; however, they're broken, as they don't link to any diffs. Nyttend (talk) 01:24, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
- Here is 2 and here is 3 one was a page move issue, the other was just a mistake (I think). Thanks for the catch. Cheers. kelapstick (talk) 03:26, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
- Fixed links (now that I am actually at a computer), it looks like they just changed to main page links or something like that. Either way this BLP is now properly sourced...Cheers.--kelapstick (talk) 18:34, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Can you lend a hand at Crest Glide? I think given the origin and 30-year development cycle, there's a good hook in there if it's sufficiently expanded. Bongomatic 14:45, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

- I think the Gore-Tex will integrate nicely, is there a picture to go with it? I have to finish up stuff at the office before I take off, then the drive from here to Pictou County, ugh, five days....hopefully we can pull an all nighter to shorten it up. The movers come in a week, I will be on the road next Saturday, Mrs. K and the little guy fly out on Wednesday. I will likely boarding a plane to Mongolia on the tenth. The little guy had to come into bed with us around 3:00 last night, finally settled around 5:00, then the dog decided to change positions, and it was game over. Not a good start to the day. --kelapstick (talk) 16:38, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Diamond category
I've rolled back my edits (my contribution history is a real mess, now). I'll take it to CFD. The problem is that the RIAA doesn't issue diamond certifications for 10 million plus. That means the category is vague (as named) or incorrect (as described).—Kww(talk) 05:31, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- I take it partially back. The RIAA does describe album that are 10xPlatinum and up as "Diamond", even though they do not issue diamond certifications. I'll figure out what to do with the category in the morning.—Kww(talk) 05:42, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- If I may cut in, it's still worth taking to CFD. The RIAA is not the only company that describes sales as Diamond; Canada also has that as a certification, but it is for 1 million units instead of ten. I'm sure it's similar in other countries, so the the category should at the very least be renamed for clarification. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 05:45, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hello all .. i just happen to notice all of Kelapstick reverts to his own edits and ended up here to...yes like Melican says certifications are different all over -->List of music recording sales certifications..So yes i also believe it should be renamed!...Wow that was alot of work to revert all those LOL..Moxy (talk) 05:51, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:18, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Mark Cutifani
To tell you the truth, I haven't looked to deeply into his years in Canada, I was more focused on his time in Gold mining with Sons of Gwalia and Anglo. I know he left SOG to move to Canada but I don't know whether there was any time between him leaving there and signing up with Anglo. There would shurely be some TSX announcement to clarify this but I'm not to familiar at how to search for it. Calistemon (talk) 10:21, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- You don't have a picture of him by any chance? He was here earlier this year but I was on baby-leave and missed the photo opportunity. Not that I was planning an article on him at that stage. Calistemon (talk) 11:07, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Looking at the average tempratures and the most prominent building in town, I can sort of understand him not dropping by just to provide you with a photo opportunity. Your forgiven, also, looking at the place, I think you already paid for every sin you could possibly ever commit! Calistemon (talk) 11:20, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
New Project
- The Template:Barrick Gold is by no means restricted to the company's gold buisness only. I must have missed the nickel project, nickel is a bit of a dirty word here in Oz right now, with what the nickel price did in the last couple of years and how many people lost their job!
- Regarding the project you mentioned, great idea, I've never managed anything above a double-DYK, a quadruple certainly would be something! It would be a bit of a slow project, as my time here, similar to yours, is a little erratic right now. I propose you create all four in your name space and we expand them gradually till they have the right size. Calistemon (talk) 08:02, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've started to do a little work and had a look at the African Barrick Gold website. The official names of the mines are X Gold Mine. I propose, when we do move the articles to the main space to stick with ABG's choice. What do you think? Calistemon (talk) 03:48, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- I think, all four articles have come a long way. I've added the coordinates for Tulawaka and North Mara, but I'm not sure how precise the later once are, failed to clearly idnetify the mine on google earth. Have you given it any thought yet on how to phrase the hook for DYK? We could possibly expand the African Barrick Gold article 5-fold by adding information on the mines and a bit more company background info and make it a fiver-DYK! Whats your thought? Alternatively, I could try to develop Geita Gold Mine from a redirect into an article, something high on my priority list anyway, and make this part of the hook. Calistemon (talk) 01:51, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok. sounds like a plan, ABG it is. The coordinates are fine, if somebody wants them to be more precise, they can do their own research! Calistemon (talk) 02:03, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

- No worries, mate, i think its time for you to move the other four to the main space. I've got to sign off now, baby needs a bath! Calistemon (talk) 03:02, 24 July 2010 (UTC)).
- I've managed to add two more gold mining articles to the Tansania category, Sekenke Gold Mine and Geita Gold Mine. Apparently, the rights to Sekenke lay with Barrick or, more likely, ABG, but I can't find anything there directly pointing at it. Have you seen anything? Calistemon (talk) 02:42, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Francophone municipalities
Not necessarily a bad idea in principle, but definitely poorly named. For one thing, not all of the places it was added to are any class of municipality at all. (St. Boniface? Maillardville? Black Duck Brook? Pain Court?) And for another, I really don't think that "X in Canada-outside-Quebec" is ever really the most useful way to group any given topic. If this type of categorization is needed at all, grouping them by province would be much more appropriate than one cross-Canada category; for example, Category:Ontario communities with large francophone populations (which I've always thought needed a rename too) already exists.
And whether a category is justifiable in principle or not, categories also have to actually exist before we're allowed to go around adding them to 100 articles at a pop — a redlink is never acceptable in the category box. Bearcat (talk) 03:38, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Saw your invite to Bearcat to discuss this on his talk page. I definately agree with the municipality comment above. At least five of the Alberta places that were attempted additions to this category are not municipalities whatsoever. They are unincorporated hamlets. The term community would be much more appropriate than municipality. Hwy43 (talk) 06:27, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed, I wouldn't call any of them "francophone municipalities" anyway, and what would actually "define" a francophone community? Even the large francophone population category is ambiguous, what defines "large"? More than 30%, more than 50%, more than the average francophone population of the province in question? The joys of bilingualism eh? --kelapstick (talk) 15:50, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- In the case of Ontario, there is at least an objective definition that can be used, in that certain municipalities in the province are specifically designated as "French language service areas" under the 1986 French Language Services Act. That said, as currently constituted, Category:Ontario communities with large francophone populations doesn't exactly correspond to that set; places like Toronto, Brampton, Kingston and Windsor have French language service designations but haven't been added to the category. I've always thought that category should be renamed and reorganized; instead of using an arbitrary and subjective distinction like trying to decide what constitutes a "large francophone population", we should have a category specifically for the designated French language service areas, such as maybe Category:French language service areas in Ontario or something like that.
- Meanwhile, in Newfoundland we could probably justify a category for Category:Communities on the Port au Port Peninsula, and in the Maritimes we could probably justify something like Category:Acadian communities. But in some of the western provinces, it may not be possible to be objective and non-arbitrary about it at all apart from the few no-brainers such as St. Boniface or St. Albert, which is one reason why a single cross-Canada category is so problematic. Bearcat (talk) 16:28, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- If someone were to officially propose a concurrent renaming and splitting of the current category, I would suggest, in the Alberta context, a more generalized category like Category:Communities of francophone heritage in Alberta since there is no applicable provincial designation of such communities, such as there is in Ontario. Sounds like Aboriginal folklore or legend. I've never heared of it, unlike the Rainbow Serpent, which is quite well known. I would be inclined to remove the section as it is completely unsorced and I might just do that now. Calistemon (talk) 01:34, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

WP Bacon in the Signpost
WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Bacon for a Signpost article to be published November 15. This particular article will look at WikiProject Bacon as an example of how new projects get started. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Also, if you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. I'm going to cook some bacon now... -Mabeenot (talk) 20:52, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Rio Tinto iron ore mines
When I mass-produced those twelve Rio articles last night to then expand them in the next couple of days, who would have thought I would become the victim of a Wikihounder (when did Wikistalker become politically incorrect? - I'm out of touch!)? I might have to create the next lot, the BHP ones, individually. But just popping out those twelve factory-style and then expanding them was so much easier, except for the current hassle, of course. On the positive side, if I get enough done on them in the next few days, I could attempt a 12-DYK, given enough article lenght. That would be something for WP MIning! Thanks for the support from distant Mongolia, Calistemon (talk) 06:13, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
- Live and learn I suppose, AfD is always incentive for article expansion. I try to avoid using company sources for anything in articles, for exactly this reason. I have seen a lot of people say "mines are not notable", when in probably 95% of all cases (maybe more) independent reliable sources are easily found. Still mining is a pretty obscure industry for many people who don't realize just how much press an individual mine might get. I once saw an admin claim that individual mines usually get deleted by db-corp, which I have never seen. Only 8 more days and I get to go back from the mother land, even more distant to you than Mongolia!--kelapstick(bainuu) 12:42, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
- I guess you are right about the incentive to expand an article. In regards to the company sources, I disagree. With public companies, the rules on reporting stock markets impose to me means they have to be pretty honest, or risk major fines. The announcements mining companies put out on the ASX, or TSX, to me are pretty reliable sources, as long as we are talking about facts. Foreward looking statements are another matter, so. Hey, ever though about writting an article on food in Mongolia, while you are there. Or is that a touchy subject? Calistemon (talk) 13:12, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
- I am not saying that company sources are not reliable, we had this discussion at WP:MIINING a while ago, and while nothing formal came out of it, most of us were pretty happy to use the company as a source for it's own reserves, especially in cases where NI 43-101 (or the equivilent Australian standard) was in effect. I just know that company sources are often disregarded by editors as if they see no other sources, even going so far as to call the article "promotional" and assuming it will not pass the notability standard because nothing secondary was used. I don't disagree with the use of company data (in particular with regards to production data), I just choose not to use it myself.--kelapstick(bainuu) 22:06, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
- As for food, I don't eat much Mongolian food, although there are a couple things I don't mind, but all the meat has about a 90% fat content. The western food isn't much better...--kelapstick(bainuu) 22:07, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Have good trip home
Thanks, mate! Yes, its a bit of a development, from AFD to 12xDYK but I fancy, the second might not have happened without the first! It gave me plenty of motivation to develop the articles further. No, can't think of anything I need from Beijing right now. Last time I went there, coming on the train from Xian, I met my Australian wife on the train! But thats a few years ago! Usually, to someone going to Beijing in winter, or the start of it, I would advise to bring warm close. But for you, coming accross from Mongolia, pack out the t-shirts! In any case, have a safe trip home and a great break from work. Calistemon (talk) 11:32, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

I suppose because I am more polite in my arguments and try harder to improve rather than simply argue about such... this makes me less "rabid" and more "rabbit".
Fox 2000, and no doubt there will soon be either a seperate article or a section for it at Twentieth Century Fox, is a newer division from Fox's News Corp that deals with films that have a darker tone and more mature content. - I assume you are refering to User talk:Cactoblastoff/Temp, please see my comments at User talk:Cactoblastoff, but basically there were two things wrong with it. The content duplicated an existing article (see WP:FAKEARTICLE), and it had been "copy/paste" copied from an existing article, wit no atribution to previous authors, and thus a violation of our copyright policies. I believe that the edited information was copied to the main article, Cactoblastis cactorum. Hope this helps.--kelapstick(bainuu) 21:24, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Bacon Cabal Logo
Hi, when Drmies added his admin icon, I noticed that it clashed with the bacon icon. Since User:Kelapstick/Bacon Cabal/Logo had no customizable options, I rewrote it, in User:Mandarax/Sandbox2. The new version is more versatile, allowing the size and location to be specified. When used without options, it looks the same as the current version, except it includes rollover text and is shifted slightly lower and to the right. Would you like to use my version as the "official" version? MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 00:23, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, why not? I am all for anything that can improve bacan and its followers. Truthfully, the logo was my bush league attempt at being clever, I just pulled an Ali Baba (did you know that is Mongolian slang for theif/steal?) and grabbed it from someone else.
Feel free top copy over the code.I have copied the code over. I made a slight change. Much thanks Mandarax.--kelapstick(bainuu) 00:29, 29 May 2011 (UTC)- You're welcome. I didn't include any documentation since only about five people transclude it, but I could add that if desired at some time. BTW, I'm not a bacon "follower"; I'd say I'm cautiously tolerant. Are you a WWE fan? Because, everyone knows that Big Show is a lot stronger than Del Rio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiman1717 (talk • contribs) 22:21, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- I have not watched WWE in quite a long time, maybe 10 years, but when I watch it, I do enjoy it. I seem to recall that Mr. Show was a pretty bad mofo. This Del Rio gentlman however, I am not able to speek of, as I have never heard of him. These days I am more apt to follow Mongolian wrestling (one of the three manly sports), as Naadam is upon us in the next few weeks.--kelapstick(bainuu) 22:51, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- Watch Capitol Punishment. Christian was World Champ but then lost it two days later to Orton. People are giving the creative team the one-finger salute for that decision to give Orton the belt. Maybe he'll win it back Sunday. By the way, Del Rio was last man to face Edge before he retired. NASCARFAN1717 (talk) 23:04, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Wikiman1717
- Unfortunately I will not be able to watch Capitol Punnishment as I will still be in Mongolia. Unless it is on HBO Asia, the Mongolian Television Network, or China Central Television, I am going to have to settle for another episode of Universe Best Songs (it's like American Idol, but in Mongolian). --kelapstick(bainuu) 23:20, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
Invitation to the Bacon Challenge 2012
Hello! You have been invited to take part in the Bacon Challenge 2012. In case you don't know or need a refresher, the Bacon Challenge is an annual celebration of bacon on Wikipedia in which editors come together to help create, expand, and improve Wikipedia's coverage of bacon. The event lasts all the way through National Pig Day 2012, giving participants plenty of time to work at their pleasure. In addition to the Bacon Challenge is the Bacon WikiCup 2012, a side event to the Challenge in which all bacon-related contributions done by those participating in the Challenge are submitted and scored by the scorekeeper (me) based on the scoring chart. At the end of the Challenge, the user with the most points in the Bacon WikiCup will win a shiny trophy for their userpage. In addition, the users who score the highest in specific categories (not yet finalized, but the categories include most image uploads, most article creations, most DYK submissions, and more) will win barnstars. Finally, all participants will receive a medal. While the awards are nice, in the end, the important thing is to have fun and enjoy what we're all here for, which is improving Wikipedia.
If you decide to participate, great! You may add your name to the participants list at the main page of the Bacon Challenge 2012, and pick up the userbox for your userpage if you desire. Signing up for the Challenge will also automatically enter you into the Bacon WikiCup. If you don't wish to participate, that's fine too - maybe next year! In the meantime, if you know anyone who might also be interested in participating, feel free to invite them! The Challenge is open to anyone and accepts participants at any time, so feel free to let anyone who might be interested know.
Note that I, the scorekeeper of the Bacon WikiCup, will be on vacation starting on the 18th of June all the way up until the 5th of July. I will have limited access to the internet, so I may or may not be able to score users' contributions during this time. Sorry for any delay in scoring (but since the Challenge lasts for more than half a year, there's no rush, right? (= ).
I'm looking forward to another fun, successful year. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 22:46, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

(And I think, right, you used it this morning a few times, haha.) Anyway, I'm glad it's finally here--I feel less forgotten now. K, you alright? Mongolian Death Worm hasn't gotten you yet? Pascua Lama
There is a bit of a debate with a user who claims to be the true owner of Barrick's Pascua Lama project (see: User talk:Opressed Serf). I can't find much on it apart from a Canadian company having purchased the rights off him, subject to him actually owning the title. Have you heared much about this back there in Canada? Calistemon (talk) 08:33, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't heard a thing about it, although Barrick's website says they are starting construction, I believe of a processing plant, in Argentina. I wouldn't think they would start such a large capital project without being sure they owned the property, but I have been wrong before. --kelapstick(bainuu) 08:45, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- The CBC says it is Barrick's mine here, and here. here. And the CBC isn't a "privately held Canadian media company", it is in fact a crown corporation. --kelapstick(bainuu) 08:47, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- The whole thing reminds me a lot of Jean-Paul Turcaud and his claim on the Telfer Mine. There is really no reliable information out there that I can find even mentioning the dispute. The Canadian mining company that recently bought the rights doesn't even have a website! Must be a real big player to pull off a $3.6 billion project like this! Seems like a hoax or scam to me, the very least smells pretty fishy! Suerly, if Barrick had been told by the Chileanian high court that the project was not theres we would have heared about it. All work would have stopped and Barrick's share price dropped massivly. Calistemon (talk) 12:38, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- US$3.6 billion is chump change these days. Have you seen the state of the economy. Better off investing in Mongolian tugrigs. Anyone cam post a website and lay claim to a property. I might just claim OT. If Barrick was not the owner, it would have made the news. Ask Turgan, he mit know something. He's pretty clever. I'm talking to the guy from Perth tomorrow. kelapstick(bainuu) 13:40, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Go and delete
As the original uploaded of the images you nominated for deletion, I am giving you permission to delete ONLY THE IMAGES RELATED TO THE ORLANDO THRILL PARK as the article has been deleted. This message DOES NOT give you permission to delete the images regrading the Starlight Spectacular show as I am fighting against that.--Dom497 (talk) 13:32, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- I just thought I would mention that the Orlando Thrill Park images could have been speedily deleted because they are orphaned non-free images. You can tag them with

rather than nominating them for deletion at WP:FFD (you can also use the DI option in Twinkle to easily do this). I just thought I'd let you know this for future reference. Would love to, but suffering from a bit of a lack of time, not helped by 2.5 hour daytime naps with the little one! The mentioned template is a simple affair. Do you just want the mines in it or Chairman, CEO and Directors as well? Calistemon (talk) 06:18, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- See some early efforts here: User:Calistemon/Sandbox. Calistemon (talk) 06:27, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've worked the template a bit more but I'm unable to access the company website right now, just won't load. I'm wondering whether its worth having all the key people there at the moment, considering they are all redlinks and are a lot less likely to have an article then the mines. I'm also not happy with the Russia section, to keep in line with the rest it should either say Europe or Asia, depending on location. Calistemon (talk) 11:52, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi Kelapstick! Thank you for that very useful central access point for 'em. Don't worry, even at the best of times its a pain dealing with a visa for Oz. Bacon Challenge 2012 Update
Hey! It's been a good few months since the Bacon Challenge 2012 kicked off in June, and I'm pleased to say that decent progress has been made. While we were a bit slow to start, bacon-related contributions have been picking up again, and scores have been rising in the Bacon WikiCup. Here's a quick rundown of the overall positions as they stand:
- 1st: Silver seren
- 2nd: Worm That Turned
- 3rd: Rcsprinter123
- 4th: Doh5678
- 5th: Cirt
Currently, only a handful of participants have reported contributions: to those who haven't, remember, there is still plenty of time left to contribute and rise up in through the positions, as the Challenge and WikiCup run up until March. Just like last year, all participants will receive a shiny medal which they can place on their userpages, or use as a self-esteem booster if need be (just joking...sort of). If you need ideas for what to work on, a list is available here.
One last thing! Per request, we are bringing back territory representation into the WikiCup! Editors can now represent nations, states, or provinces, just to add a bit of fun and Olympic-flair to the event. Simply reply to this message with the territory you wish to represent, if you choose to do so.
Thanks for reading! Good luck! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 02:02, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Kinross DYK
I had a look but I can't think of anything that connects the three mines other then ownership. DYK is a lot stricter nowadays then it used to be, the hook and the reference for it have to be pretty good. I will keep thinking and looking.Calistemon (talk) 05:30, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't know whether a meet up is in planning or not right now. I had a look for Kupol and found a reference with some more on the rather interessting winter road. What about:
- that the isolated Kupol Gold Mine is accessible overland only through an ice road, which is open from late January to April and can only be constructed when temperatures are below minus 25 Celsius? Calistemon (talk) 05:49, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Kupol Gold Mine
On 26 December 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Kupol Gold Mine, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Kupol Gold Mine north of the Arctic Circle is only accessible in winter via an ice road, which can only be built when temperatures are below −25 °C (−13 °F)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Kupol Gold Mine. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. DYK for Desert Storm trading cards
On 13 March 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Desert Storm trading cards, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that a set of trading cards with themes and people from Operation Desert Storm was criticized for commercializing and trivializing the war? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Desert Storm trading cards. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. hello
I'm trying to get people who are willing to help me out with a pet project I've begun but realised that it will be extremely hard for me to even make a small dent in. First of all, I got your name from the list of active members on the wikiproject for mining articles. Please disregard this, if you're not interested.
So, here's what I'm trying to do and what you could do to help me. I noticed that there were very few articles that list mines. I've tried (to the best of my abilities) to create a sub-page that lists all of the probable articles for lists of mines that I could think of, you can review this here.
Basically, I need help. Suggestions on different lists to add, I need lists created, if the lede I've been using should be changed, I'd like community consensus on the standard layout (I've been going with listing articles like List of gold mines by country and List of mines in the United States by output. If someone would like to make templates for these articles.
Please, don't feel obligated. I came to you, and others like you because of your implied interest in mining articles. List articles are not exactly in everyone's taste. If you are completely uninterested, but think you might know someone who might be, please let them know about it. I could use all the help I can get.
Oh, and if you happen to create any new articles on mines, please add them to any of my recently created lists. Sorry for this being so wordy, have a good day and happy editing! Ncboy2010 (talk) 22:33, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

re: Eliza (magazine)
Hello Kelapstick, the speedy deletion request for Eliza (magazine) was due to the company having no significant importance. The sources did say that the company was founded or exists, which does not qualify as importance under Criteria for speedy deletion A7 as follows: A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content). An article about a real person, individual animal(s), organization (for example, a band, club, or company, not including educational institutions),[5] or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works. This criterion does not apply to species of animals, only to individual animal(s). The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines.[6] The criterion does apply if the claim of significance or importance given is not credible. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion. I didn't PROD the article an IP did so I don't know why you sent me a deprod message & not the IP. I had noticed the artricle had been at AfD before & tagged it with speedy G4 Recreation of material deleted via deletion discussion. 1999 and 2000 Demos (Avenged Sevenfold)
Hi, Kelapstick, you removed the PROD (or whatever) tags I added to 1999 Demo and 2000 Demo, suggesting that I send them to AFD instead. However, When I try to do the regular AFD for either (not just the 1999 one) it tells me that the page already exists, and will not process the request. (I suppose that could be through a redirect though). That's why I went the PRODS route. In any case, you linked the AFD page in your comment on my talk page, and I'm not really sure why, as the consensus there was to delete anyway (even though it was back in 2006). Given the issue I have been having, what would you suggest I do? --L1A1 FAL (talk) 00:58, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hello L1A1 FAL. Articles that have been subject to a deletion discussion are not eligible to be deleted via the Proposed Deletion method, that is why I posted the previous deletion discussion. I asked an admin to look at the history to see if the current version was similar to the deleted version, and it wasn't, so they are not eligible to be deleted via the Speedy Deletion method, and previous consensus will not apply, because the article is different. If deletion is the way you want to go, the only other venue available is via AfD. Because deletion discussions already exist, you have to use afdx template, which will create the deletion discussion page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1999 Demo (second nomination), or something similar. Hope this helps. --kelapstick(bainuu) 01:34, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Hello there. You mentioned it so I started it. Trouble is, it's sort of covered in Job safety analysis#Terms. Thoughts? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:45, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- Oh Anna, you're the best! I spent 20 minutes looking for the pyramid on a US government (public domain) sites, because I didn't have the ambition to make one (which probably took you less time!) The whole JSA article reads like a combination of an instruction manual and slapping together of government and corporate instructions. It really needs a complete overhaul, but I think that a "see also" hatnote in the terms section would be good, some of the info from there could be added. There are a few concepts that could be expanded on (if I can find sources), such as the more effective controls (the top of your pyramid) are also the easiest to implement (i.e. the fewest steps). I have an idea for an essay applying this to Wikipedia, just have to get my head around the analogies. Much thanks for the article. --kelapstick(bainuu) 05:00, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the kind words. I really don't know what to do with the article, though. What do you think?
- You seem very nice. I hope you come on IRC sometime soon. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:05, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- I will try to take a look this afternoon. See what I can drum up. I am sure that a lot of the government sites that you listed include a lot of information, so I should be able to get something to beef up the sections, rather than just the examples. Not likely to see me on IRC though, typically that sort of thing is blocked on the networks I usually edit from. --kelapstick(bainuu) 05:12, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Safety#See also is so large, it sort of begs for a navbox. Thoughts on that? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:48, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
Eh, maybe not really a good plan. Who at Bicycle safety would click a link to Toy safety? Nevermind. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:51, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

- Will look and see. Thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:05, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- I like it. Usually, I try to make complete navboxes, then hope others expand it. That doesn't work so well. I think I will try to make this one barebones to encourage others to improve it. Thanks for the suggestion. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:09, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- Occupational safety and health (article name) or Occupational health and safety? (common nomenclature) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:14, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- I think it depends on what country/company you are with. I don't think either is more common than the other. --kelapstick(bainuu) 05:15, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

I think that you should seriously consider taking a break before you start doing weird things of top level (though this edit was at the height of it) Yasht101 23:20, 12 April 2012 (UTC) |
- Haha, thanks Yasht, I love coffee, but I am fine. I did a page move from user space to article space, and the old system, all you had to do was delete the prefix of the article, now you have to select the prefix from a drop down box so it got moved from a subpage of mine to an unregistered user page, rather than the article space (the drop box is probably a better system, I am just not accustomed to it yet). When I tagged my pages for deletion, I forgot to uncheck the notify user (lately I have been tagging manually, as the last three years I had been editing on IE, not Chrome, so I didn't have access to Twinkle, just getting back into it.) Then I saw that I had warned myself, and here we are. At least I didn't tag my own edit as vandalism...Cheers, have a good weekend! --kelapstick(bainuu) 23:25, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Fashion 5.0 articles for deletion
You did not approve deletion of Eliza Magazine as they were sourced in a small local newspaper, however you vote delete on Fashion 5.0 when it was covered for it's notability with the largest magazine authority in the country. Mr. Magazine operates the Magazine Innovation Center at University of Mississippi and has published only three interviews in 2012, with the president of Hearst Magazines, the publisher of Food Network Magazine and also the publisher of Fashion 5.0. --Gracophilus (talk) 12:00, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Dick Clark
How is President Obama related to Dick Clark? The White House comments a lot but it is POV to become their wingman and insert all of President Bush or President Obama's condolences and comments into every Wikipedia article, I believe. What is the best way to discuss this? Auchansa (talk) 04:11, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- I believe they are third cousins. Replied on users talk page, where the discussion began.--kelapstick(bainuu) 04:25, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- In a way, it can be justified, if one is a lawyer and using legal technicalities. President Obama is America's rock star president and Dick Clark was a rock star promoter. Not quite related but, with a stretch, they are in related fields! Auchansa (talk) 05:21, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- See example. --kelapstick(bainuu) 05:26, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Just to make things perfectly clear, I am not opposed to Obama and don't have a strong opinion about including him in the Dick Clark article. I am slightly leaning toward not having it but am not violently opposed to a mention in the article. Auchansa (talk) 05:29, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Personally I don't think that articles should include what boils down to politician/celebrity eulogies in them at all. --kelapstick(bainuu) 05:35, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Want to suggest that there not be any eulogies? Auchansa (talk) 05:39, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't particularly want to, nor do I really care that much. They usually flesh themselves out after a few months I think, if you take a look at Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston, I don't think that they have them. Once the initial reaction dies down, the article gets improved and the get removed, I think. But if you want to propose it, you can go ahead on the talk page. --kelapstick(bainuu) 05:48, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

On 30 April 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article I Don't Want To Blow You Up!, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that, according to a 2008 book, Kareem Abdul Jabbar doesn't want to blow you up? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/I Don't Want To Blow You Up!.You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. How to get a woman out of her dress
Since you asked, and since I consider myself an expert on the matter (having successfully gotten a women out of her dress at least 3650 times in the last ten years - conservative estimate), I decided to share my secret with you.
Marry her. Then treat her nicely.
NB! Under no circumstances answer the question "Does this [insert article of clothing here] make my [insert body part here] look fat?". "Yes" will get you into trouble for calling her fat. "No" will get you into trouble for lying to her. My suggestion is to suddenly start crying because you have (once again) realised how beautiful she is and how lucky you are, or feigning a heart attack.

- Did you see that? 21,000 hits! Drmies was right. Indeed Lady we have been getting out and about, down to Yallingup (caravan camping), stopped at the Busselton Jetty on the way back, we were up at the Yanchep National Park this weekend and took the kids caving (on a short guided cave tour), the Perth Zoo has seen us quite a few times, and the Caversham Wildlife Park is quite awesome if you want to feed some Kangaroos. Aside from that we are out to the beach quite frequently (even now that winter is almost upon us, although it is still 25 °C (77 °F) most days) and the kids love all the parks that are around. Kings Park is a great place to go as well, lots to do there, we saw the new Muppet's movie at the outdoor theatre there a few months ago. We have also done a few trips into Fremantle, where we saw one of your aircraft carriers moored offshore, quite a sight to see, and of course we lunched at Little Creatures :) --kelapstick(bainuu) 01:45, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
I'm trying to get a wikipedia page up and running for my local roller derby team "North east roller derby". It's been deleted and from what i can tell you suggested it's deletion. What i had done was limited i admit, however i am new to creating wikipedia pages and was working on filling it out properly. It's my first time on wikipedia and this is not really a very nice welcome.
If I have done something wrong can you please tell me what it is.

Anthracite
Thanks for the welcome and feedback on the anthracite page. Not sure if this is the best place to reply, but wanted to address specifically the issue of spamming. That was not my intention when I edited the page anthracite, nor am I interested in boosting anyone's search results. The problem with the anthracite market is that it is generally very opaque - there is no spot price or readily available numbers as prices are set on a deal-by-deal basis between producers, traders and end-consumers. In this case I thought the website of a company that includes a succinct summary of the current state of play (about three quarters of the way down) could be acceptable. I don't work for the company in question, nor am I ever likely to. Will raise it on the anthracite page. Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pmorley1 (talk • contribs) 11:02, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello. Can I just politely remind you that if you tag a page for deletion - it's all the more important if you tag it for speedy deletion - you should inform the creator. Besy wishes, Boleyn (talk) 05:42, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- I didn't ucheck the notify original creator when I nominated it, Twinkle defaults to not notifying the original creator in the case of db-disambig (as it is asserted to be uncontroversial maintenance) so you may wish to take that up with the people who write Twinkle. However the DAB page that you created was only to disambiguate the two existing George Winston's and George Theodore Winston, which was speedy deleted as a blatant hoax (for your reference the pictures in the deleted George Winston article were actually of William Lundigan, he didn't appear in any of the movies listed at the bottom, and there was a claim to marriage that didn't check out on the alleged spouses WP page).
- At the time it was a completely valid CSD nomination as I had hatted the remaining pages in question, however I see you have added to the DAB since then. I don't particularly care one way or the other if the DAB is kept or deleted, and don't care to argue the merits of including a minor counties cricket player who's name is a Winston George but is known to everyone else as Mark on the list. Either way, thank you for the note, and I will keep it in mind in the future. Cheers, --kelapstick(bainuu) 06:05, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, I was trying to cover all bases by including Winston George, but I've now removed it. Boleyn (talk) 16:18, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: The Doghouse Diaries
Hello Kelapstick. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of The Doghouse Diaries, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: This is a quite borderline nom in my mind, and I think that it would probably be best discussed by the community at AfD, rather than on the talk page. I will decline this speedy, and nominated via AfD. Thank you. GedUK 16:16, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
