Speedy deletion nomination of Category:UK MPs 2015–20 stubs
A tag has been placed on Category:UK MPs 2015–20 stubs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Cabayi (talk) 15:53, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

Hibernian FC
Hi there,
Please pardon me but can I ask what your issue is please? Numerous constructive edits have been made to which your response seems to be just to back it all out. The edits I made consistently add improved:-
- structure
- sequencing
- content and detail
If you have any specific issues with anything could you please either:-
- endeavour to improve them further
or
- be specific with what the concerns are that you feel are there
repeatedly just backing out other people's efforts is not constructive, it's vandalism
Hi again,
Just for info to try to be transparent; I'm going to try to request someone else's opinion in this for a calm view on. I don't suggest for a moment that my edits are perfect (nothing else in my life is perfect so I don't expect my edits to be). They were though all intended constructively. Just having them blanket thrown out with minimal (near zero) constructive explanation of why the edits should be completely undone feels a bit like poor form. I hope you can look on third party involvement as constructive.
Hi again,
Thanks for these replies re Hibs:-
The problems with the edits
- "this was the last time Hibernian threatened to win a tournament until Turnbull became manager in the early 1970s." -- not true, they seriously challenged for both the league and cup in 1964/65, falling away after Jock Stein moved to Celtic.
- "the Scottish Football Association (SFA) put forward Hibs forward to participate in the first season of the European Cup. Harry Swan was Hibs chairman and part way through his presidency of the SFA.[1] Hibs were put forward ahead of champions, Aberdeen, and third placed Rangers who had floodlights." -- That might be Aberdeen's suspicion. Stick to the facts (which are already presented).
- "Lawrie Reilly was forced into early retirement in 1958. After four years at Manchester City, Johnstone returned for two seasons in 1959 but did not make the impact he had before. Turnbull retired from playing in 1959 and the same year Smith left for Hearts after paying for surgery himself to address an injury. In his first season at Hearts he won both the Scottish League and Scottish League Cup. He was also a future Scottish league winner with Dundee. Willie Ormond stayed at Hibs until 1961 when he moved on to Falkirk." -- excessive detail, the article already mentions that the Famous Five had been broken up by the sale of Johnstone in 1955.
- Joe Baker might be worth mentioning (including his selection for England while playing for Hibs), but his goals record with Arsenal is irrelevant.
Hope this helps. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 17:15, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
To reply to these individually:-
a) "this was the last time Hibernian threatened to win a tournament until Turnbull became manager in the early 1970s." -- not true, they seriously challenged for both the league and cup in 1964/65, falling away after Jock Stein moved to Celtic.
Please pardon my innocence; if that was the case then why couldn't you have improved the article by adding that correction?
b) "the Scottish Football Association (SFA) put forward Hibs forward to participate in the first season of the European Cup. Harry Swan was Hibs chairman and part way through his presidency of the SFA.[1] Hibs were put forward ahead of champions, Aberdeen, and third placed Rangers who had floodlights." -- That might be Aberdeen's suspicion. Stick to the facts (which are already presented)."
Again please pardon me. The facts include that Harry Swan was Hibs Chairman and also President of the SFA at the time (I believe from 1954 to 1956). The facts also include that Rangers finished above Hibs and already had floodlights fully operational at Ibrox. If you take a look at this for example you get an idea of his assertive and influential a personality Harry Swan was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOfiYuChD4Q
As for the facts already being presented, not when I look. When I look at the reference provided in the Hibs article, when I try to load it I am just taken to the sport home page on The Times website https://www.thetimes.co.uk/#section-sport . It doesn't take me to an article with the title that is supposed to be the source. Nor does it take me to a page with info backing up the assertions made in the article.
c) Going back to this point again, "Stick to the facts (which are already presented)." If I may politely say so, that isn't a constructive statement. Anybody could try to justify a position with a statement like that. Constructive critique is healthy and that includes a questioning attitude to see if what is already listed somewhere stands up to examination when additional info is presented.
d) "excessive detail, the article already mentions that the Famous Five had been broken up by the sale of Johnstone in 1955."
"Excessive detail" is a matter of opinion. Since the subsection is titled "The Famous Five (1939–1959)" then detail on the actual five would seem pertinent. Also info on the break up of the five would balance the considerable info on the five coming together.
e) "Joe Baker might be worth mentioning (including his selection for England while playing for Hibs), but his goals record with Arsenal is irrelevant."
Then why not include the useful info rather than taking a sledge hammer to all of the edits? Also Baker's goals record for Arsenal is relevant to the distinction he has of being the 1st person to score 100 league goals in both Scotland and England. This is worthy of mention on the Hibs page since it was his goals at Hibs that gave him that achievement.
To add to this; there is much that is wrong with that article in it's current format. The sub-section names for example are terrible (e.g. "The Famous Five (1939–1959)" is used to cover a 20 year period when the five only played together for 5 and 1/2 seasons. "Turnbull's Tornadoes (1960–1989)" covers a 29 year period yet Turnbull was manager for less than 10 and Turnbull's teams were only a side of note for half that period. There are numerous other constructive pieces of info that were added that have been removed without consideration. As mentioned above I don't for a moment suggest my edits are perfect and can't be improved upon. There was one point at which you provided a re-write and that was much more constructive and collaborative than just undoing things. However since you obviously feel the page is now in some sort of optimal state then it can stay as it is. There's better things to do in life than try to be constructive just for someone else to rip it apart. All the best for the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.236.148.157 (talk) 06:26, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Unionism in Scotland
Offer "I will forget all of the above unpleasantness if you could make some suggestions as to what you would like to include in the article. The whole thing needs a fundamental rewrite - it jumps about with no consistent narrative. I think it could be reorganised into something like a bigger history section (integrating text about devolution and the indyref(s)), then talk about the organisations for and against, and then the current political position (most recent elections)."
- Yes I think that could work. Some general things I would like to include in the article would be:
- Status of the term (including links to monarchy?)
- History
- Scotland before the union (perhaps mentioning the partition of Ulster)
- 1707 Acts of Union (perhaps mentioning rise of unionist sentiment through empire and church?)
- 1800 Acts of Union (perhaps mentioning Ross of unionist sentiment through the Irish migration to Scotland following the potato famine?)
- Scottish devolution (perhaps mentioning decline of unionist sentiment in Scotland through de-industrialisation and collapse of empire and religion?)
- 2011 Scottish Parliament election (brief summary of SNP achieving majority government allowing for referendum)
- 2014 independence referendum (brief summary with results table included?)
- Demographics
- British national identity (brief section on British identity through time using census data?)
- Religion (ties to Protestantism and North Ireland?)
- Recent elections (basic vote/seat summaries of most recent election results in Scotland, perhaps with maps?)
- Unionist organisations
- Political parties (mention of different dynamic between more federalist Labour and Lib Dems and more centralised Conservatives)
- Orange Order
Just a quick list as I don't have access to a PC right now, I would be prepared to contribute to a major rewrite of the article though. Brythones (talk) 16:42, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
I have a question. What is the Niall Pronunciation of these players? /ˈniː.əl/ or /naɪl/ Footwiks (talk) 09:53, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Footwiks: The first of those. The only famous person I can think of who uses a different type of pronunciation is Niall Ferguson (he says his name more like "kneel"). Jmorrison230582 (talk) 10:03, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks but I have more question. So You mean, these footballer's pronunciation is /naɪl/? I checked out Niall, This article said /ˈniː.əl/ is general, sometimes /naɪl/. Do this article have wrong information? In Football Match Broadcasting, These players's Name Pronunciation like Nile?Footwiks (talk)
- @Footwiks: Yes, it is similar to the river. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 10:28, 4 July 2017 (UTC)

Terrible Trio
Heh, at first I thought it was maybe a bit harsh of you to blanket-revert the "incomplete history of Hearts" updates on those articles, since the writing was decent with a decent amount of (bare) referencing, but I now see that 'another' IP had tried to add even more 6 months earlier and been politely declined by you then too! So it looks like that lot in July was the short versions!
Am I right that it's mostly copied from the Hearts article? Should that maybe have a separation of the History section due to its length? Crowsus (talk) 19:57, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi there, Jmorrison230582. I appreciate Wikipedia's deletion policy and that technically, Conor Hazard does not satisfy the criteria yet. That said, even though he hasn't played a competitive first-team game, he has played international football at youth level and is considered a first-team player by Celtic (http://www.celticfc.net/team). It might be worth holding off deleting the page until his role at Falkirk has been established (http://www.celticfc.net/news/13871), as he may well make his first-team debut in the coming weeks. I would like to say sorry about the Bobby Collins page.
I added, the trivia fact about his mention in Still Game for added fun trivia. I should have,

2. Added link to back up, trivia fact.
3. Or, not put it, at all, since it is only trivia and helps no-one.
Anyway, thanks for the correction.
All the best.

New Page Reviewer Flag
Hi, Jmorrison230582.
I've noticed that you are an AfC reviewer but don't yet have the New Page Reviewer flag. Would you please consider heading over to PERM and requesting it? (check the flag requirements HERE)
As part of a larger plan to increase cooperation between New Page Patrol and Articles for creation, we are trying to get as many of the active AfC reviewers as possible under the NPR user flag (per this discussion). Unlike the AfC request list, the NPR flag carries no obligation to review new articles, so I'm not asking you to help out at New Page Patrol if you don't want to, just to request the flag.
Of course, if it is something you would be interested in, you can have a look at the NPP tutorial. Please mention that you are an active AfC reviewer in your application.
Cheers and thanks for helping out at AfC, — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 06:28, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
