The file File:Scott Brown edited.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
"List of MPs for constituencies in England 2015–20" listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect List of MPs for constituencies in England 2015–20. Since you had some involvement with the List of MPs for constituencies in England 2015–20 redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. My bad sorry, Haffey was the 'template' for the others although he didn't need the dab, forgot to remove that so it created the redlink, and when I saw the redlink I added the symbol since all capped players have an article thanks to your good self, so that was all a bit of a mess with that wee bit. I think the rest of it is right tho! Crowsus (talk) 15:52, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Talk:Eddie O'Hara (politician) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Old news
Hey. You may not remember this, but I've stumbled on your issue with an IP from 2015 regarding James McKee (I was trying to add to William Watson (Scottish footballer), the other subject of the research which caused the problem). The article was originally here, I actually tried to find the proper version in an archive but doesn't seem to be there, probably because it was up for so short a time. You may be aware of the football historian bitchfest that accompanied the situation on their forum. I am so disappointed reading that, I can't really rationalise what these folk are wanting to achieve with what they collate, "I got the information, so it's mine and I'm putting it on my own website that gets 50 hits a week. Nobody can ever use that information from now on, even though I got it from somewhere." I also like the comments near the bottom, akin to "I'm collecting everything there's ever been about Scottish football and I'll put it all in a book, I've been writing it for 20 years but I'll finish it soon, very soon, and I'm sure at least 5 people will buy it. That makes it all worthwhile." I'm not aware of such books but if you are, let me know, I might even buy a copy - to help correct Wikipedia. Personally, I just want the accurate info to reach as many people as possible, and Wiki is definitely the best modern way to do that. Writing books etc is a noble cause but who is going to buy it and read it? Even dedicated websites cater to a very small readership in some cases, whereas on here there are all kinds of people floating around dipping into different subjects, and they can then look into the references for more detailed information if they so desire. What you added to the wiki article was completely proportionate - not his entire story, just the discovered facts on his birthplace etc - and properly referenced, so it's difficult to understand how an academic who must have referenced lots of research by others in their professional career) could take such issue. I have recently spoken online to Andy Mitchell (ScottishFA / Scottish Sport History / huffy IP) about a few things and he was very pleasant and helpful, I mentioned I was active on Wikipedia and although he said something about how it was difficult to know what was true on it (I know mate, I'm here reading it every day) he didn't shut the door on me afterwards, so maybe his attitude has changed - maybe he noticed the traffic to pages on his (excellent) site increased after it was referenced in a wiki article, as I'm sure it would. He apparently has a fully researched book (long in the making and as yet unpublished, of course) in the pipeline on all Scotland internationals, so I'm looking forward to that coming out. It will obviously be interesting to actually read, and there will be many opportunities to correct the player bio inaccuracies on Wikipedia - I hope he realises the McKee and Watson stuff along with all the others, would be amended on there as soon as it is seen by us, and you can't delete a book! Nor can you get more money from links to a book compared to a website, maybe he has realised that now. Nobody here is stealing or copying his work, just attributing it as a reliable source. Still trying to get around why people would go to the trouble of finding out the truth about something but then not want it to be shared on the most widely accessible platform, while it was being correctly acknowledged as their findings. But then, I'm just a Wiki editor (no skill or effort —involved in that whatsoever!!!) and not a "real" historian. Well, keep up the good work and definitely keep referencing that site, both because it's a good source and because it might be annoying to old school anoraks who don't want people to actually read their mountains of stats.
