Please don't create blank articles
[edit]Hello, please stop creating blank articles without any content, as they will be tagged for speedy deletion. If you want to develop an article gradually without pressure, please create them in draftspace, by prefixing "Draft:" to the article name. Thank you. Bungle (talk • contribs) 16:41, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you for that info! Will do! Jackspm10 (talk) 16:42, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Jackspm10 you should talk to your instructor about this, and sort out the way you should be doing things here. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:11, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Ian, yeah I've decided to go about this differently. I'll be using a bunch of sandboxes to draft these articles. Jackspm10 (talk) 17:20, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

Civil Practice and Remedies Code of Texas
[edit]Just to let you know, I moved this article to Draft:Civil Practice and Remedies Code of Texas as it was blank. You can work on the draft there and publish it when you're ready. Please let me know if you need any more help, or check out the Teahouse! eπ/💬 16:51, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
Links to user pages and sandboxes
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to user pages or sandboxes, as you did at Texas Code Of Criminal Procedure, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code and Texas Agriculture Code. Since these pages have not been accepted as articles, user pages, sandboxes and drafts are not suitable for linking in articles. and such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been deleted, please do not re-add any such links, thank you - Arjayay (talk) 14:46, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
Hello! I noticed that you seem to be interested in writing about Texas Law on Wikipedia. I would encourage you to check out the resources available at Wikipedia:WikiProject Law, to join that project, and to ask other editors there for assistance in how to structure, research, and write your articles.
At present you seem to be engaged in moving a lot of articles into mainspace that consist of nothing more than a broad outline of the sections of the law in question. I would discourage you from doing that until you have written some actual content about the law.
Take a look at the difference between this version of Constitution of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which is substantially similar in organization and content to your articles about various portions of the Texas code, and the current version, which is an actual encyclopedic article and is more fleshed out with interpretation from secondary sources, which is required in Wikipedia. Now, that article could still be better - there are large areas that are still in need of secondary analysis and it is overly reliant on the primary source text of the constitution itself, but it's an example of the minimum of what should be in an article about a law in mainspace. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 16:26, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Another good article for you to look at is Voting Rights Act of 1965. It is a featured article, meaning it is one of the best articles produced by the Wikipedia community. Featured articles are supposed to be the gold standard, and what you should (eventually) be striving for. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:39, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- For more featured articles in the topic area of law see: Category:FA-Class law articles. Not all of them are about specific statutes, but there are a few, such as Horse Protection Act of 1970. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:44, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Texas Parks and Wildlife Code moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Texas Parks and Wildlife Code, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A kitten for you!
[edit]Hi there. I regret that many of your creations have been drafted or nominated for deletion. It may be overwhelming or disappointing to have your work put aside or deleted, but please do not give up. I am a member of the Law Project and also a practicing lawyer here in Australia. I love to add law articles and welcome your contributions! However as an Encylopaedia, it is very important every topic we write on has significant coverage. Merely re-hashing the law and citing Thomson Reuters is not appropriate. each statute should have a history section and analysis of case law. A mixture of primary and secondary sources is required - journal articles especially. As you may now, the United States government has so many laws itself cannot state precisely how many there are! With SO many laws, we cannot have every code/statute on Wikipedia, otherwise we'd turn the project into LexisNexis. Only notable laws can stay. Most of your codes have been drafted, so once you think they are ready you can resubmit. Feel free to ask me for help if you need it! MC

[edit]Great job on this article—the child articles are impressive! From your selection of the articles to the start you’ve got on them, the breadth of work is significant! In terms of changes, I would say to continue to work on the child articles (but from my knowledge, it sounds like you’re going to focus on one child article as opposed to multiple child articles), the work so far is clear and informative about each article’s topic. Further details are yet to be specified as it would depend on what comes of your article. Great start! Jag223 (talk) 03:22, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
