Hello! My name is Joseph R. P. (you can call me Joseph, Joe, WaddlesJP13, or Waddles) and I am a car enthusiast and geography nerd living in Woodbridge, Virginia, United States. My work on Wikipedia usually consists of working on pages for cars, towns, roads, and historic sites as well as creating and editing disambiguation pages. I volunteer with reviewing new pages, drafts, and pending changes in my free time. I also like to make userboxes (I have made hundreds of them to choose from!), and I can make one for you too.
I should clarify that I am not an admin. I can't delete your pages nor can I un-delete them. I also cannot block or un-block you from editing, either. If you got a message on your talk page telling you your page was tagged for speedy deletion then notice it was deleted, consider contacting the admin that deleted it by clicking on the red-linked page and viewing the displayed deletion log. Further note that I am a human with human emotions, decisions, and real life schedules that affect my abilities to edit on Wikipedia and respond to messages. I always edit in good faith. I make mistakes sometimes and I give my best effort to correct them. If I make a mistake or you have any other concerns regarding my actions on this site, just let me know. Personal attacks, and legal threats will most likely be reverted by me or someone else and thus ignored, and can result in your account being blocked from editing.
That aside, I wish not to come off as dismissive or passive aggressive towards anybody. If it seems that way, I do not mean it and I apologize. Furthermore, I hope that any negative interaction with me (or anybody else) does not sway you from further contributing to Wikipedia. We all have made mistakes before and I am a strong believer in that people can both quickly learn and change from their mistakes and adapt to an unfamiliar environment rather quickly as I have over the years while contributing here.
I was born on March 10th, 2005 as a first child in Fairfax, Virginia, lived in Manassas for about a year, and spent about half of my life growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving back to Virginia to Woodbridge where I currently reside.
As immature I am around my friends, family, and elsewhere on the internet, I take contributing to Wikipedia seriously as I have spent countless hours creating and improving articles. Wikipedia has also introduced me to OpenStreetMap, which I also spend a lot of time contributing to alongside Wikipedia. I joined April 19th, 2018 at 7:58 PM (however I have contributed since 26 May 2017 as an IP user) as a 13-year-old and I usually create and edit pages for cars, towns, and roads as well as create a number of disambiguation pages and helping with page reviewing. When I was new and inexperienced on Wikipedia, I did make a few mistakes here and there, and would be confidently incorrect with some of my edits, but then eventually I learned how everything worked and I then created my first article on 4 May 2019. Apparently, I'm a Wikipediaholic, and got a 388 on the Wikipediholism test.
If anybody wants to know how I came up with my username, the 'Waddles' nickname dates back to 2013 when I signed up for Club Penguin at age 8 with the username 'waddlesj8'. 'Waddles' is the name of a plush penguin toy I had (and still do somewhere in this house), 'J' stood for 'Joseph' and '8' was my age. Since then, I've tweaked the username to include "JP" (first and last initials) as well as capitalization and change the number at the end to be my age of account creation.
I am a huge car enthusiast. I'm one of those guys who could name (almost) any car by looking at the taillights in the night. Now there are a lot that I have trouble with, mostly older cars, such as some classic American cars and a lot of European cars. I do stumble with identifying modern German cars such as BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes-Benzes, more specifically those built from 2000-2015. Newer models have started to differentiate themselves a bit in my opinion. Staying on topic and not rambling off about cars... my knowledge and interest centered around cars has really influenced what I do here on Wikipedia.
I absolutely love playing racing games such as those in the Forza series, and I enjoy reading news articles sites like Carscoops and CarNewsChina and watching YouTube videos on cars. More productive than digitally driving cars or reading and watching videos about them is actually writing about them on Wikipedia, as you get to share that interest in cars with the world all while educating them on the things you know involving them. Specifically, I like to create articles for Asian cars, usually Chinese cars and occasionally Indian and Japanese ones. I've got a userpage and even a WikiProject both dedicated to cars in China.
My first article on Wikipedia I've created was for the Aion S, a Chinese electric sedan, though the first I ever TRIED creating was for the BYD Yuan (might've been located here as a draft), when I was a dumb little 11 year old and didn't even know how Wikipedia worked. I've since learned how a lot of things work on the site and I now dedicate a lot of time on here creating articles for obscure cars from China and other countries.
Aside from what I do on Wikipedia, I have a section on my Wikimedia Commons userpage where I upload pictures of cars I see that interest me. Feel free to use them if needed!
I make simple, clean, and fun userboxes. You can view my created userboxes here. If you would like me to make you one, leave a message on my talk page. If you do not care for my style of userboxes I can make you a personalized one, just be descriptive when describing what you want it to look like. You can send a photo you like or I can find one for me to put in there. I will reply to you with a few userboxes fitting your description.
Here are some signatures that I've created that you can use for yourself too. Feel free to alter the colors, symbols, font, etc. (if you don't want to be confused for me at first glance). Make sure your username isn't too long, since the code is already quite long enough on this series of signatures and it may not fit when you enter the code in your preferences. Also note that some icons may not render properly, especially if you have some fonts installed. I use Google Chrome and have no fonts installed, so they render just fine for me.
Example🗩🖉 — Original signature. The blue used is the same used for wikilinks and other buttons (such as the publish button, checkboxes, etc.).

Nice to see that someone is dedicated to doing the same stuff that I'm doing, expanding the articles on Chinese automobiles. I know it's probably more difficult for you considering that you're not in China, but nice work! Keep it up. Jengtingchen (talk) 02:37, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diligence
This seemed appropriate given your efforts at AfD, ANI, and on your own talk page. The civility with which you handled having one of your own closures reverted was especially impressive. St★lwart111 23:44, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
