You've got mail! [2]
apologies for the second talk page message, however it has been 2 weeks since I sent the original email to you and I never received a response or acknowledgement of having read the email. Darling ☔ (talk · contribs) 15:50, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- The tool admins have seen your email. There is no need to email a bunch of us individually. — JJMC89 06:28, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- I only emailed you and the other tool admin when you didn't respond to the email I individually sent you for about another month (plus I've spoken to Oshwah since the other admin redirected me to them and I assume they made you aware of the email) and nobody else; I appreciate your response. - No, they didn't. That reference is still used nine times in the article. I suggest you read Special:Permalink/1188454731#Allegations of threats, misogyny and bribery. — JJMC89 07:32, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Fighting game tournament categories
Hi there. I noticed your bot deleted two categories for fighting games used in the Super Battle Opera and Evolution Championship Series tournaments and updated linked articles accordingly, but only linked to the day those discussions were held instead of to the actual discussions themselves. Trouble is, these discussions doesn't seem to actually be on the log page linked, nor do they exist anywhere in the page's history. I tried checking every log page for November and December in case the date was wrong, but I don't see a discussion anywhere there either. I'm not going to disagree with the decision if there was a discussion had, but I'm not sure why the bot didn't seem to pull from the correct place. Could you please point me to the original deletion discussion? Thank you very much, and sorry for the trouble. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:29, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- The discussion was at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2023 December 5#Category:Fighting games used at the Super Battle Opera tournament. Fayenatic london mistakenly put the instruction under the wrong date. — JJMC89 01:47, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Cool, thank you! -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 05:21, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Cyberlink420 I apologise for that, and have added the correct link in the deletion logs for the categories. Would it be useful for me to similarly leave a note in the edit history of any of the member pages? – Fayenatic London 11:24, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I don't think so; the notes in the individual category pages should be sufficient. Thank you for the correction! -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 18:32, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

Contested speedy deletion for images
Hello, I would like to contest the deletion of File:Shorouq Dwayyat Facebook.png, File:Haranfamily268.jpg, and File:SamirKuntarEvidence.png. These three files have important value in their respective articles, and have no commercial value. Can you remove the speedy deletion template? Marokwitz (talk) 06:12, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- I will not. The template specifies the appropriate palace to contest the deletion (not on my talk page). — JJMC89 06:22, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- I already contested on the talk page of File:Shorouq Dwayyat Facebook.png but you didn't respond. Marokwitz (talk) 06:27, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- You asked a question. To contest it, you need to explain how the policy is satisfied. — JJMC89 06:43, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- The fair use templates already explain how the policy is satisfied. In any case I added explanation in the talk of all 3 images. Marokwitz (talk) 07:04, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry to bother you again, I've added an explanation to all three files as requested, but I haven't received a response yet. If I understand correctly, the files will be deleted in a couple of days unless you remove the speedy deletion template. Marokwitz (talk) 07:17, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Non-free image: File:Can you look them in the eyes Poster.jpg
It's kinda hilarious that an image that people tried as hard as possible to make invade every single moment on my life on bill boards, bus stop signs and internet advertisements (like all over the guardian) is considered "copyright" particularly when it was produced by the government for propaganda. But I guess you are but a robot with no brain and the rule sare the rules.
Talpedia 14:12, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) Lots of copyrighted content is intended to invade every single moment of someone's life, but that doesn't negate its copyright protection or how such content is treated by relevant Wikipedia policy. Non-free content isn't allowed to be used in the user namespace per Wikipedia's non-free content use criterion #9 and Wikipedia's user page policy. If you feel an exception should be made in this case, you can request one at WT:NFCC or WT:UP. Another one of Wikipedia's copyright-related "rules" is WP:COPYLINK, WP:ELNEVER and WP:YOUTUBE. Generally, it's OK to add links to YouTube videos to Wikipedia pages as long as they are to official YouTube channels that host video/audio content under the control or created by the original copyright holder of the content. The link in User:Talpedia#while working to the music video of "Purina hall of fame" seems like it could be in violation of this policy and can be removed if it is; so, you might want to take a look at it and see if you can find a replacement on the band's official YouTube channel to use instead. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:20, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- I don't disagree it's just very depressing in the case of of things related to lockdown. I don't think an exception is merited here; but it's sad for... complicated... reasons.
- I've fixed up the link. Have a good new year.

United logo historical logos
Hello how is it going hope you’re having a safe holiday? I want to ask a quick question if you don’t mind. How come the United globe logo from 2010-present day on the history of United airlines tab was erased? I thought it was rational because I think it next to the logo brands throughout its history and people want to know about their history and it was used in at least one other article and was considered encyclopedic. I didn’t mean any harm when posting it so I’d like to ask what exactly went wrong and what can we do to work something out and get it published again a different way. Thanks for your hard work and contributions and merry christmas to you and your friends and family 2600:1007:B032:51CD:686C:8758:1284:F8EA (talk) 23:54, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

File:United Airlines logo 1974-1993.png
Hi JJMC89. I saw that you tagged File:United Airlines logo 1974-1993.png for speedy deletion per WP:F7 because of WP:NFG. I'm wondering though whether this file might be {{PD-logo}} given that essentially the same logo was uploaded as File:United Airlines logo (1973 - 2010).svg to Commons. Of course, the Commons file might need to be deleted, but I'm not so sure that's the case. Any thoughts on this? -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:26, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
- It could be – feel free to relicense it. The 1973 logo was also licensed as non-free from 2006 to 2017, when it was changed to {{PD-textlogo}}. — JJMC89 18:54, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
advice about sound file removed by your bot
Hello, firstly, Merry Christmas! I'd like to seek your advice. Your bot removed a sound file from the page Airat Ichmouratov, which is a non-free audio sample—a 29-second Ogg Vorbis audio file of reduced quality. I'm curious about what I might have done wrong. I made an effort to adhere to Wikipedia standards, but there's a possibility that I missed something or used the wrong template. Any advice on how I can improve it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance , Happy Holidays and Happy Editing, all the very best! Patrick0506 (talk) 13:29, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- There is only a non-free use rationale for Three Romances for Viola, Strings, and Harp (Ichmouratov), not Airat Ichmouratov. Each use must have its own rationale per WP:NFCC#10c. — JJMC89 18:54, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your answer, I was following an example of sound file on Jimmy Hendrix page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Jimi_Hendrix_performing_%22Machine_Gun%22,_1_January_1970.ogg
- this non-free use rationale is used on two different pages Band of Gypsys and Jimi Hendrix. How does it work, what did I miss? the file is added by senior editor. Thank you again for your help. Patrick0506 (talk) 14:32, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- I think I started to understand, you talking about usage of different template for non-free use rationale for different page. The sound file could be used on different pages, but each page need to have its own non-free use rationale template. Is it correct? Patrick0506 (talk) 14:46, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
