LSE IDEASI'm attempting to create the page for LSE IDEAS that you deleted for blatant advertising. I wasn't finished with the page before you deleted it. Their publications are mentioned in the Times and elsewhere. What needs to be done to allow posting? Khoback (talk) 17:53, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

The Dirty WorksCurious why this page was deleted. I removed all reference to any previously published articles. It simply said "The Dirty Works are a 3-piece punk band out of Tennessee." Obviously I intend to expand upon this page. I will be resubmitting. erik Erikrotten (talk) 22:11, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
could I have the opportunity to expand on this article and ADD reliable sources? for example: Red Carpet Premiere for Dirty works Documentary "Rebel Scum" http://www.metropulse.com/news/2010/jan/20/red-carpet-premiere-dirty-works-documentary-rebel-/ Post-'Scum' Dirty Works has cleaned up its act http://www.knoxville.com/news/2010/feb/04/post-scum-dirty-works-has-cleaned-up-its-act/?partner=RSS Five years later, The Dirty Works still shocking, rocking East Tennessee http://www.thedailytimes.com/article/20090820/ENT/308209938 ErikErikrotten (talk) 23:28, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

It is the Online School for Girls, which is a non-profit school formed this summer by a consortium of four independent all-girls' school. It is the first online school dedicated to the secondary education of girls. We believe the information was accurate and striped of any marketing language. We are requesting that it be reinstated. deletion of page titled Professional Monitor CompanyI see that you have deleted my page created, describing the company PMC. I saw from the notes from another admin that my entry was considered spam or merely advertising the company. From a brief look around wikipedia I see there are entries for other speaker manufacturers such as Tannoy, Bowers and Wilkins and QUAD Elctroacoustics. I fail to see why these entries are deemed acceptable and mine is not. These other manufacturers are notable, usually due to a particular design philosophy of their products. I feel that the speakers made by PMC are also notable for their use and development of the transmission line design of speaker enclosure. I do not feel that my entry was in any way advertising PMC or promoting their designs over and above others, but was instead giving unbiased information on the subject. As I mentioned I have no links with the company and have nothing to gain by creating a wikipedia entry. Manufacturers such as Tannoy, B&W and QUAD are notable for various reasons and I feel PMC are too. Please can you advise why you do not feel my entry was suitable. Thanks. --Pyltn (talk) 09:44, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
PepsiHi GlassCobra, I am new to Wikipedia and am editing the Pepsi page for a college class. Could you please explain why you deleted my 3-sentence contribution to the "Marketing" section of the Pepsi page? The Pepsi Refresh Project is a brand new (just launched last month) already-popular multi-million dollar grant program that is definitely significant enough to be added to Wikipedia. I also added the Pepsi Refresh Project page...you deleted that because it was "unambiguous advertising". I rewrote my page and posted it again, but now you deleted it for "No Indication of Importance". How can I reword these edits so that this can be published on Wikipedia? Thanks, Wegotthehandshake (talk) 14:54, 9 February 2010 (UTC) Deleting Melissa Dawn Johnson PageGood Morning, I am Melissa Dawn Johnson's assistant and I see that you recently deleted the page I created for her on wikipedia citing "unambiguous copyright infringement" of the Melissa Dawn Johnson that is speaking at the Winner's Summit. However, that is the Melissa Dawn Johnson that is referenced in the wikipedia page. I wish you would've contacted someone first before deleting it, it took a while for me to gather that content. If there is another reason you are deleting the page please let me know so that I may correct it so I don't have to go through this again. Granny GearThe subject "granny gear" is well known among manual transmission operators. Yet a search on Wikipedia does not return any documents which relate the term granny gear to a transmission, but only to bicycle gearing. Why was the "Granny Gear" page deleted? Why not kept and linked to the full transmission article? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granny_gear 68.53.189.60 (talk) 09:18, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Rick
Appreciated, GlassCobra. The concept still doesn't define what a granny gear is. Can the redirect page include a simple text definition like: "An extremely low gear ratio sometimes available in transmissions. In vehicles, it is used for maximum power, for climbing steep hills, for moving slowly over bad terrain, or for driving slowly" or something similar (as derived from Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=granny%20gear))? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.42.224.2 (talk) 10:00, 2 March 2010 (UTC) I just found another one, from WikiAnswers: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_a_granny_gear. It reads: "granny gear is 1st gear. the lowest gear in transmission. it has the most power of all gears but is the slowest.in big trucks it is called granny gear ,because the the gear ratios are so low that the vehicle crawls along slowly like a granny.this gear is not used often on a road truck unless a start on an extremely steep hill with heavy load is required." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.42.224.2 (talk) 10:02, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Can I create a template? The template, called InOtherLanguages, would ease navigation between Wikipedia projects by taking the page's title and linking it with the same page in another language. For instance, the wheel page would have links to fr:wheel, de:wheel, and so on. It'd be displayed at the top of the page in a little green box. --Zero TalkContribs 22:45, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Lil WeavahI do not have an vested interest in Lil Weavah as a business, but I do happen to know his organization. Everything I present, is not opinionated, but merely facts. Previously there had been much mistaken information that I have tried to correct but people continue to change it. I have done freelance writing for many entertainment magazines and such, so I do feel qualified to present the facts on a non bias bases. I will change a few things that I know to be false or outdated news, and if you have any discrepancies, please write back and we will go from there. The article is a total violation of notability, i don't think anyone has made the slightest effort to improve it as i don't think they're notable at all. Now i'm a big Suede fan and i know that there are numerous articles online for The Tears, McAlmont and Butler and Elastica, who are clearly connected with Suede. I think they qualify for speedy deletion, now i wouldn't want to do it myself, i just thought it would be better to pass it by yourself, being an admin, and having previously looked at the article.Ian Bundy (talk) 16:21, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

You need to add my block to the Adam Kontras eletion discussion...Please be responsible and explain to the editors who are SPECIFICALLY ASKING ME QUESTIONS why you blocked me. THis is childish to say the least. If this has anything to do with me DELETING Chalres Groves slander - with the explanation "old vandalism" - you need to do a little more research before randomly deleting. I'm in the midst of a cyber stalking case with detectives in Virginia, Case # GC10000402-00 Charge: 'Stalking: Fear of Death or Assault' Orignial Court order 2-23-10 'No contact with victim'. He has actually admitted he is vandalizing and stalking (again, had you taken the time to do your research) and even did the most recent vandalism as himself. It has been a daily issue to undo his lies. He is publically linking to court records that don't exist but saying they implicate me in some crime. I erase those and you block me? Great site fellas. Kate's Birthday PartyWhy did you delete Kate's birthday party? it was a good page notifying of an internet sensation that erupted these past few days. Seriously... Yeah I'm wondering about the same thing. You don't find it funny? Same here also. Come on, live a little! All sorts of memes have articles on WP, how is this one an exception? I know, hey. How come you deleted it? It's a Facebook phenomenon that was actually successful. -LC +1 The event is actually worthy of a Wikipedia page. This is a huge mistake. Why delete articles like this? This is a very significant event in terms of web privacy/security.
I'm going to agree with every other person on this talk, this is a notable internet meme, that has made quite a bit of news recently concerning facebook privacy/security issues.
