WikiProject Yorkshire Collaboration of the Month Project
The November 2024 articles selected below are an editor choice as there were no nominations on the project talk page.
The project is subscribed to a clean-up listing which lists articles tagged with various clean-up tags that need attention. The listing is refreshed by a bot on a regular basis.
Monitoring is essential Use the watchlist to keep an eye on changes to the project's articles so that vandalism and spamming can be removed as quickly as possible.
Moves Please be careful when performing articles moves and ensure that you also move all the talk sub-pages and update any image fair use rational. Otherwise the archives, to-do lists, assessment comments and GA reviews get lost and the image may be deleted as it has an incorrect FUR. You will also have to check that the Commons link is set correctly.
Thanks
A very big Thank you to all the editors who labour away quietly and help make this WikiProject what it is; no edit goes unnoticed.
To members who have added suggestions to the ToDo list at Yorkshire Portal.
To the football and rugby editors who have done sterling work in keeping abreast of the top clubs.
To all the WikiProject Yorkshire editors who have been busy on vandal patrol at watchlist.
Great!

Reminder to participate in Wikipedia research
Hello,
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.
Saqib has been blocked by WP:ArbCom. I don't know the reasons behind the block - my guess is that it involved confidential evidence that can't be posted onwiki, but that is literally a guess - I know nothing about the situation. You didn't respond to my last question on your talk page. You have been editing for 14 years, and have made about 27,000 contributions. You've written loads of articles. How is it that you were posting on the talk page of a one week old account (which turned out to be a sock), asking them about making drafts? I'm not accusing you of anything, I just can't understand what was going on there. GirthSummit (blether)10:53, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
Not defending this editor GS but they also asked the same at my Talk and Izno's so I think it's less sock and more CIR. The asking randomly about Saqib to multiple disparate editors though doesn't help with the sniff test though, which I raised at SPI. StarMississippi23:25, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
i didnt know that i talked to one of sock accounts by asking allowed by add drafts of pasktiani dramas, i had grammar issues, i do have misktakes in pasts, yes i add indian movies and korean dramas and actors during 2010s include Ha Jung Woo during my 14 tenue in Wikipedia. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
Hi Girth,
I like your edits and pages a lot.
Thank you for enriching Wikipedia with your dedication and passion. Your contributions inspire others and make a lasting impact. 156.57.86.117 (talk) 10:39, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I saw you deleted Udne Ki Aasha under the G5 criterion. This article has been deleted a few times before for the same reason, but it is currently at AfC. I was thinking of accepting it now, but before I do, I just wanted to check if there are any issues. – DreamRimmer (talk) 15:33, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
Based on past performance, further "Matty [A-Z]anks" accounts may be along to repeat the edits soon. A search by name doesn't reveal any obvious sleepers: Matt-Banks3 appears to be an unrelated good-faith editor. Certes (talk) 21:01, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
I hope you are doing well. It seems my email, which I had sent you some days before, landed in your spam folder. Do you mind replying to it? Maliner (talk) 05:07, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi Maliner, sorry I've been quite busy over the last few days. I see that you've added your name to the list of prospective clerks at the SPI Clerks noticeboard, which is the usual first step. Your application will be considered in due course, please be patient - we're all volunteers, and reviewing potential clerks' contribution history takes time. Happy Christmas
It is time to wish all members of the project a Happy Christmas and many thanks for all of the work done on articles relating to Yorkshire over the past year. A milestone for the project as we reach 20,000 Yorkshire related articles this month, also it is the 200th edition of this news letter.

Invitation to provide feedback
Inspired by Worm That Turned's re-RfA where he noted administrators don't get a lot of feedback or suggestions for improvement, I have decided to solicit feedback. I'm reaching out to you as you are currently one of the users I've selected as part of my recall process. I hope you will consider taking a few moments to fill out my feedback form. Clicking on the link will load the questions and create a new section on my user talk. Thanks for your consideration. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 15:58, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
Following an RFC, the policy on restoration of adminship has been updated. All former administrators may now only regain the tools following a request at the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard within 5 years of their most recent admin action. Previously this applied only to administrators deysopped for inactivity.
Following a request for comment, a new speedy deletion criterion, T5, has been enacted. This applies to template subpages that are no longer used.
