Deletion of Ledger (journal)
You made a non-administrative deletion of the Ledger (journal) article, even though the deletion discussion did not reach a consensus. The reasons to keep the article were very clearly outlined and appropriate Wikipedia rules on Notability and, specifically, Notability (academic journals) were cited.
You deleted the article without providing any reasoning whatsoever as to why both Wikipedia's notability rules and the lack of consensus were ignored. Please correct that. PaperWario (talk) 21:58, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
- Take this to WP:DRV if you want to. sst✈ 05:07, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, it would be more efficient if you provided an explanation for the deletion first. That way I could take that explanation to WP:DRV if necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PaperWario (talk • contribs) 05:42, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Last Voyage of the Starship Enterprise
Thank you for your close decision at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Last Voyage of the Starship Enterprise.
As it was nominated for deletion an admin, and closed by a non-admin, could you please do me a favor and greatly expand upon your "Keep" rationale closing decision at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Last Voyage of the Starship Enterprise ?
That way you can summarize your thoughts on why you closed the way you did, should others wish to refer to this discussion Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Last Voyage of the Starship Enterprise in the future.
Thanks very much,

- My rationale is clear. Since there is no way this article would be deleted, keeping this article early would be appropriate. sst✈ 01:32, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I happen to agree with you, but because it was nominated by an admin, and because I don't want to bother wasting my time on a useless Quality improvement project, I'd rather have an admin endorse it, and a much longer closure rationale. — Cirt (talk) 01:50, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- Another option would be for me to vacate my original closure and relist the discussion. sst✈ 01:56, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- Sure, can you do that? I haven't done a "relist" in a while so I'm not sure how to do it anymore, can you do it please? — Cirt (talk) 01:56, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

A kitten for you!
Thanks for being so easygoing and relisting the deletion discussion for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Last Voyage of the Starship Enterprise.
Normally I've got no problems with a non-admin close, but I just want a really really really solid close here that can't be disputed in the future.
I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time on a Quality improvement project that could turn out to be useless.
Once again, thank you -- your kind and polite nature has been truly a pleasure !!!

Rayon DYKs
Hi. Thank you for nominating that set of articles for DYK. I am usually too lazy, because it means I have to check another nomination and then respond to queries on both. Sometimes DYK can be rather a hostile place. But I still get a kick out of seeing an article I started on the front page. See Template:Did you know nominations/Johann Urban. Maybe the two nominations should be combined into one? There may have been systemic bias against articles on rayon manufacture, but I think that has now been amply addressed. :~) Aymatth2 (talk) 11:48, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
Would you mind undoing this NAC? It's relatively controversial and it's very clear that there is a consensus to only have one or the other rather than keep both. That's not to say your judgment is poor -- it's very possible an admin will close it the same way -- but it should be closed by an admin who has a range of options open, technically speaking. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 13:49, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

American Crane Corporation
Hi. I reviewed Template:Did you know nominations/American Crane Corporation. I wound up marking it as ready, however I did have to fix an issue with the article in order to do so. The hook wasn't cited, but I saw which source it should have had when I was checking for copyright violations, and put the source in myself. Disambiguation link notification for October 17
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Qatar Airways Flights 15 and 16, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Telegraph. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Question about DYK process
Hi there. Thanks for your input at Template:Did you know nominations/American Crane Corporation.
I have two DYKs that are waiting for review, Template:Did you know nominations/Golem Arcana and Template:Did you know nominations/Long War (mod). The first of those was nominated on 6 October. Is it normal for a nomination to wait for two weeks for a review? If not, is there any recourse available to me?
Thanks, The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 03:19, 22 October 2015 (UTC) P.S.: I also asked PFHLai this question.
- Two weeks is totally normal. sst✈ 05:10, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Query
Could you please reply to my email?
Thank you,

- This is the only email I received:
- Dear SSTflyer,
- Just curious if you got my prior email ?
- Yours,
- Cirt

- Received. As you can see, I am still fairly new here, and I thought it may be a good idea to polish a few B-class articles to GA status. When I nominated that article for GA status, I did not realize the MOS:NOVELS guideline and the importance of a themes section in novel articles. If you want to work with me to improve the article, let's try, but obviously I have much less experience than you do. sst✈ 04:20, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Ah. I was unsure if your (self-removed) comment referred to me personally ? — Cirt (talk) 04:21, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Nothing personal. I was thinking that I may lack the competence required to bring that article to GA status. If you want to work with me, sure. sst✈ 05:17, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Ahhhh okay, I misread your comment, totally my apologies. — Cirt (talk) 05:20, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi. You delsorted the above. I've seen a template on other AfDs that said something about "If you were asked to come here and vote, blah blah"....this one needs it. I have no idea what to look for. About 3/4 of the way down the page, you will see a hyperlink. It goes to a blog post whining about how this organization needs a Wikipedia article. Can you point me to what I'm looking for, or simply add it, as I have !voted in the discussion? Thanks! John from Idegon (talk) 04:44, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
