Yahoo IMAP Connector
I'm having serious issues with mail.yahoo trashing my messages for the past two days & was delighted when DuckDuckGo said there was more on Wikipedia at "Yahoo IMAP Connector", only to find you trashed like yahoo trashed my messages. DuckDuckGo also says there's a youtube tutorial, which
- tells me it's anything but simple
- but I can't get youtube on my backwoods connection
I just spent an hour saving old messages from Trash to Archive at Yahoo! Any chance I can save the one you trashed from the Wayback Machine? --Pawyilee (talk) 02:58, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

The page entitled "Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE)" was deleted last April. I just passed my CFSE test and I was wondering why you deleted the entry. I cannot seem to find the reason documented anywhere. Can you fill me in?

Hello, I'm user icberry, and I see there is a G8 listing for my userpage, which was deleted. Deletion/Undeletion requests
1. Please undelete The People (Zenna Henderson), which you deleted as an expired PROD. I would have objected had I noted the nomination; the subject received enough critical attention in the genre to justify an article.
2. Please review your closure of the FFD discussion regarding File:Flora Martirosian.png[1] as "keep". As I noted at the time, the "keep" !votes were not grounded in policy, and the outcome is inconsistent with the more recent, more thoroughly argued Chris Kyle [2] and Steenkamp Tropika [3] FFD's, and the closer's rationale for the latter is particularly well-thought-out and convincing. Deletion of "William Lennon" page.
Explicit,
I am contacting your help service due to a deletion of a page on William Lennon.
The URL that the page existed is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Lennon. This page was linked to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lokring_Technology. William Lennon is the president of the company.
If need be, all information assigned to this webpage can be verified by document proof or however else needed. Please feel free to email me at djrampersad@lokring.com with any questions. deletion of File:Walkers point 1960's.jpg.
I uploaded this image a while ago and it was deleated for copyright reasons. The statement on my talk page said "there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it" I am the creator of the "file" but the photograph was taken by my grandfather. He died 8 years ago so I don't know could provide proof that he gave permission for it to be on here as he was never asked and I didn't even know the picture existed when he was still alive. I was told by an copyright attorney that his next of kin (my father and uncles) would have legal rights to the material and the authority to grant permission which had already been done at the time it was uploaded. I had believed the information I provided was sufficient. How should I proceed for this picture to be undeleted?--T1980 (talk) 02:40, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Mark Knoop
I see you have deleted the page on the pianist Mark Knoop. As I am unable to see this page I cannot comment on whether this is fair or not, but it does seem drastic. I am letting you know that I am going to create a page for this significant contemporary musician, and I sincerely hope that you do not think you have some sort of personal ownership of the page, as I have encountered often on wikipedia, which is contrary to the principles, spirit and guidelines. I am also somewhat disturbed that somebody whose expertise seems limited to popular music deigns to make judgement on pages relating to contemporary classical performers of the highest rank. Perhaps the original article was not well written, but Mr Knoop fills all the guidelines for being notable as defined by Wikipedia, and deserves a page.

Florida Music Educators Association
You deleted the FMEA for "lack of notability??" Really. It's the fifth largest music educator's organization in the nation, in one of the largest states for high school and college music in the country. It has hundreds of members who educate more than a million children throughout the state of Florida. It produces an annual meeting and the All-State honor bands for high school and college students selected from around the state to play. In turn they go on to the national music education conference, which you list, along with the music education associations of other states. I'd qualify this as "notability." I will put it back on. If you remove it again, I will appeal to a higher source. There are organizations of its kind far smaller listed on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theclevertwit (talk • contribs) 14:17, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello
Hello -
I hope I am typing this in the correct space. I am new to the wiki world. I just wanted to drop a quick note first to say thanks for all your hard work on wiki maintaining a level of excellence and accuracy, specifically within the realm of music entries. A number of months ago you deleted my wiki page which had been set up (as I understand) from one of my fans. I noticed today that you cited that I had only written a few 'marginally known songs'. I think that statement could be indicative of your lack of knowledge of Christian Worship Music and the its subculture. One of the songs I wrote was a #1 on Billboard for two weeks on the Christian Inspirational charts and a handful of them are sung in thousands of churches across the world every weekend. I appreciate all that you are doing, but I just wanted to challenge you on your reasoning. Perhaps if you feel like your deletion of my page was indeed the result of being misinformed in this specific sub-culture of Christian music you can get in touch. My assumption is that there is no way to restore the page but hopefully by expressing myself, I may help prevent future deletions from happening for misinformed reasons. If there is way to restore my page, even if it's under certain conditions, that would be very helpful as the media and other Christian organizations frequently refer to it. Many of the citations supporting my biography came from media outlets and news outlets at Liberty University where I worked as Adjuct Instructor of Songwriting and Music Theory. Again, I do appreciate all your hard work and empathize with you as music tends to be a very subjective topic. I encourage you to google my name if you need to learn more about me or the career I've been fortunate enough to have so far. All the best, and thanks for reading this.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Fifi,Babs,Shirley.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Fifi,Babs,Shirley.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 08:23, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
WikiProject Good Articles Recruitment Centre
Hello! Now, some of you might have already received a similar message a little while ago regarding the Recruitment Centre, so if you have, there is no need to read the rest of this. This message is directed to users who have reviewed over 15 Good article nominations and are not part of WikiProject Good articles (the first message I sent out went to only WikiProject members).
So for those who haven't heard about the Recruitment Centre yet, you may be wondering why there is a Good article icon with a bunch of stars around it (to the right). The answer? WikiProject Good articles will be launching a Recruitment Centre very soon! The centre will allow all users to be taught how to review Good article nominations by experts just like you! However, in order for the Recruitment Centre to open in the first place, we need some volunteers:
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing this program bring new reviewers to the Good article community and all the positive things it will bring along. A message will be sent out to all recruiters regarding the date when the Recruitment Centre will open when it is determined. The message will also contain some further details to clarify things that may be a bit confusing.--Dom497 (talk) This message was sent out by --EdwardsBot (talk) 14:45, 9 June 2013 (UTC) |

You can reinstate the image "Grotto1.jpg" on the Breaffy page.
Hello Explicit. Deleted article SIMON THOMAS STOCKER
I was late to reply to the warning for deletion. I was late to reply, as at that time I was busy and was not very knowledgeable about the ways of wikipedia. I think you took took it upon the wrong article, BELIEVE me, that short stub of an article had all the merit to exist, though I do not deny you acted within proper parameters of judgement and that it was indeed my fault the article was brought down. Before I re-write the article again I wish to clarify something that you might have been impervious to nonetheless it was explicit even in the stub: the merit for thee article and its subject.
For the sake of the book "Trujillo: The death of the goat" by Bernard Diederich, the author had to interview SIMON THOMAS STOCKER, the man who stored the weapons provided by the CIA for the coup which ended with the death of the dictator.
He had to visit Stocker, in his house on Avenida Independencia in Santo Domingo (then Trujillo City), an enormous reinforced concrete residence built in 1960's international style and flanked by two enormous mango trees (which fed me well, Stocker was like my father). A house built in a gutted tract of land, then, quasi-rural land along the west-east dirt road leading to the main gate of the stone walls of colonial Santo Domingo, a tract of land where the scent of the Caribbean sea did, as it does, perennially grace the air. The land, previously site of a 1920's villa, a luxurious Victorian style villa. The villa, a remnant of the "country-club" pretensions of the minute local aristocracy of early 20th century Santo Domingo into which Stocker married, shortly after being appointed by the US Navy to spy upon the potential flirting of dictator Trujillo's regime with the prowling U-boat fleet of Nazi Germany...
I will start the article again, your opinion is more than welcome. In the case you reply within the next 10 years I have one question...Thanks for your attention....
Luxgratia.
you deleted my biography
I have been alerted that you have deleted my biography and have found this to be true. I have no idea why you would delete such an item and request that you reinstate it at once. Here is the message on my page now: 01:38, 5 November 2012 Explicit (talk | contribs) deleted page J. David Markham (Expired PROD, concern was: Poor sources and dubious notability.)
I never received an indication that you proposed removal. As I am the source of the information on me, it do not understand how that can be considered a poor source! As to notability, I am president of the International Napoleonic Society, author of numerous books, and quite well-known throughout the world in my field of Napoleonic history.
David Markham imperialglory@comcast.net
Imperialauthor (talk) 18:21, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with Mr. Markham above. I am actually a professional historian who teaches at universities and has authored two books. Markham is a giant in the field of Napoleonic history; he is pretty much one of two or three go-to historians for appearances on televised history documentaries, wrote Napoleon for Dummies, etc. He is in the top five of current living historians of that period. To suggest he is of dubious notability is patently absurd. Whether the sources were off or not, the guy gets numerous Google News, Google Scholar, hits etc. Heck, just check him in Amazon.com for all the books he wrote and the numerous reviews alone. I second Markham's comments above and strongly encourage you to undelete this article. Whoever proposed it for deletion clearly is ignorant of this aspect of history. Thank you for your time and consideration. --24.112.187.219 (talk) 22:37, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

The Sith Code
It would be really nice if exclusionists would slow down and think things through before blasting away at pages. Did you pay attention to the fact that this article was listed and linked to dozens of others? Did you take into consideration that it may have been useful in the greater scheme of things? Did you consider Wikipedia as a whole? Or did you just delete it because you felt that "in universe" is undeserving of an article which quite possibly could have properly referenced considering it's (The Sith Code's) cultural and historical importance?!
I'll leave aside the discussion over Wikipedia's deletion policy; which many, including myself, feel needs a MAJOR overhaul, but this deletion really hurts things. It's broken two Wikipedia Books, dozens of related pages, ...! Oh well.
Please use some caution in the future; checking how /you/ could enhance a page before simply deleting it. If the frustration comes through it's because the Wikipedia Star Wars Book now is missing a page referenced multiple times in other articles. Lostinlodos (talk) 21:01, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

The Snow Lion Publications page was deleted as "No reliable sources to establish the notability of the subject". Snow Lion was one of the world's major Tibetan Buddhist publishers. That can be easily verified. There are still a good number of Wikipedia pages pointing to this article, there is information on Shambhala Publications' web site (who took over Snow Lion). Re: Alan Juristovski
Hi there,
I'm reaching out regarding the deleted page for Alan Juristovski in hopes of having it reinstated. I see that the reason the article was deleted was due to a lack of "significant coverage" so I'm providing a list of applicable press coverage of Alan Juristovski, which details his success as a notable entrepreneur. Alan recently passed away, which I would like to have reflected on the page if/when it is reinstated.

Is there anything else I can send you that would help ensure this page is reinstated?

Template talk:Translation request
Explicit, why did you tag Template talk:Translation request as G8-exempt? Ego White Tray (talk) 03:50, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
- @Ego White Tray: (talk page stalker) I don't know if you checked, but Explicit hasn't edited in over 10 months. If you think it should be deleted, you could be WP:BOLD and remove the G8-exempt tag and nominate it for deletion or take it to WP:MFD so discussion can take place if necessary. I cannot see a good reason to save it, except for if Explicit was wanting to preserve some discussion pieces. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 12:19, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for deleting Zydeco Zinger
Hello Explicit, my name is Starship9000 and thank you so much for deleting a article about a ride called Zydeco Zinger because i do not want it on wikipedia and I putted the proposed deletion and the concern was "that the ride was not notability". I also added "it could be seen in the SBNO rides section of Six Flags New Orleans. Thank you alot. Leave me a message on my talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starship9000 (talk • contribs)
Red Aril
Hi, I see you have deleted article about my company with this reason:
Expired PROD, concern was: No significant coverage in reliable sources, neither demonstrated in article (regardless
The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines for companies and organizations. (November 2010) |
), nor to be found elsewhere
But it is not true, you can't find information, because it was renamed to Core Audience. You can find some articles in adexchanger.
Please return it back and rename to Core Audience.
Thank you!
You deleted File:Slimeballs1.jpg because "F6: Non-free media file with no non-free use rationale." Would you mind restoring the image? If you notify me, I will add the image back into the article and put the right rationale on the image file. Thanks. --evrik (talk) 19:00, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hello? --evrik (talk) 16:55, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- @Evrik:(talk page stalker) Explicit has not edited in over 10 months. I would recommend heading over to WP:REFUND or finding another administrator if you haven't already. Good luck! -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 03:31, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Deletion of: Customer Service System
Hi there,
I tried to read up on this article again only to find it has been deleted. I don't recall the article ever being a "blatant advert for Logica". The article contained good information about BT CSS, such as details about the size of the database etc.
I also feel the comments "Try listing it on Craigslist instead" to be unhelpful, ill mannered and not required for such a website like this.
Full comments were : "Blatant advert for Logica and the developers, not encyclopedic, just an inhouse system."
Would it be possible to have the deletion of this article reviewed? Thanks. --— Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.53.225.21 (talk) 09:57, 2 April 2013
Question about page deletion
I've seen that some months ago you deleted the page about "i'm Watch" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27m_Watch). I'd like to know if you can undelete it in order to make us able to edit this page content and make it compatible with all the wikipedia guidelines.
Thanks in advance
Historic article about Claude Marcel
Hello Explicit, I'm making a short research about Claude Marcel, a character from France's history, and I would like to get more information about his history. You said something about your ancestor, in this case about Claude Marcel? If you can, I would like to get the information that you could have about him...
Eder A. Brazil - SP - São Paulo
Thank you very much! See you!
How to Upload an Image
I have a question. How do I upload an image here on Wikipedia that is not orphaned such as the original release of the Wiggles' Yummy Yummy video with a missing chef played by Anthony's father and a short story of "Dorothy's Birthday Party" that lasts 10 minutes. Dcelano, 01:49, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
It is probably PD. Could you email me a copy (piokon at post pl), I'll see if I can find a source? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 15:10, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- @Piotrus: (talk page stalker) I don't know if you checked, but Explicit hasn't edited in over 10 months. If you think think the image is public domain, I would see if another administrator could restore it for you, or you could try going to WP:REFUND. Good luck -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 15:35, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
1965 – Through the Looking Glass
Undelete thanks. Sa cooke (talk) 02:10, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- @Sa cooke: (talk page stalker) Explicit has not edited since February and therefore most likely won't undelete the article 1965 – Through the Looking Glass. You would be best going to WP:REFUND as the your request makes it a contested WP:PROD. You could also try finding another administrator who may be willing to help you out. Good luck, -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 02:18, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- @ТимофейЛееСуда: Thank you - I've gone to Request for undeletion. Where do I find admins please? Sa cooke (talk) 02:30, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- @Sa cooke:: Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to provide copies of deleted articles might be a good place to start. There are many others of course, but that's where I'd go for deletion, or just wait on your request. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 02:59, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity
Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts.
