My apologies for the late response. I log in to Wikipedia irregularly since the last 4-5 years, but:

1. This image has no copyright issues. 2. It was a product of at least 12 hours of painful labor on Inkscape. 3. It adds tremendous value to a very important article, and is irreplaceable. 3. The sources listed on the page are sources of information contained in the map, not the source of the image itself.

There might have been changes in tagging policies on Wikipedia in the last 5 years, and this image might have remained unattended, but this image needs an urgent deletion review. After digging through some archives, I've found the original image here, and I think the main concern of the discussion was whether you created the image yourself, or if it was copied from the website. Deletion of Gregg Miller Page

Hello:

I am contacting you to see if my page entitled Gregg Miller can be restored.

This is a little confusing to me as I have not discovered why my page was eliminated- the link provided by Wiki explaining why it was eliminated was blank when I contacted them concerning this.

The article has been on Wiki for many years.

The information contained on my page was absolutely true and accurate. I created this page for my business as the media often refers to it for facts concerning me and my business.

I fear the page was not in the format required by Wiki. I wrote the page and would be happy to compensate you or someone else familiar with your guidelines to make the page acceptable to Wiki requirments. If this is not possible I would be happy to make a donation to Wiki for assistance.

If you click Gregg Miller Neuticles or Neuticles on Google there there are 5660 references on "Gregg Miller Neuticles" and with "Neuticles"- the product I invented -over 49,900 references. I have written a book Going Going Nuts about the invention of Neuticles which was published by Publsh America. Some of the numbers provided only I know- sales, participating clinics and hospitals etc. I have been on hundreds of radio and tv interviews over 17 years. If there are questions concerning any source or remarks made I will be happy to provide the documentation. Deletion of Glenorchy Air

The article was proposed for deletion by another editor and remained uncontested for an entire week. The rationale was clearly given: "Expired PROD, concern was: Notability has not been established, lacks significant coverage in secondary sources". What does it take to establish notability? In general all airlines are considered to be notable, See Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Notability which says "All airline companies". But if you want to delete one you can delete Aspiring Air which is no longer in business. Well, for starters, the article was deleted as a result of it being proposed for deletion by Navyworth (talk · contribs), and was endorsed by another user, Faustus37 (talk · contribs), who added the {{Prod-2}} template prior to the page's deletion. Secondly, my deletion clarification subpage doesn't address proposed deletions at all, so I don't know what you're going on about in regards about that. As a proposed deletion, you can simply request to have the article re-instated and the article will be restored at your request, as explained in the last line of WP:CONTESTED. It's that easy, and the option is still entirely open. Lastly, instead of trying to intimidate me (which you failed to do, by the way) with your message, you could have made an attempt to resolve the dispute by taking up the advice given to all of the editors on the article's talk page; if you want the dispute resolved, I'd suggest the latter course of action. — ξ^xplicit 23:58, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

Deletion of Page

Hello There,

I am disappointed with the deletion of a page that I wrote about as I noticed today that it has been deleted! The page was on Aquariumist and music artist Paul Talbot. The reason you deleted it were as follows the "concern was: Does not meet notability criteria, NPOV, much unsourced material, many unsubstantiated claims, suspected it is written by the subject" I know for a fact that the information was 100% legitimate and it was not written by the subject (I am not the subject- they are a collegue of mine and I am in charge of writing the data about the bosses/ figures in the company). Never before have I had issues with this and I don't understand how this one could be a problem when the others were not. Can you please inform me how to correct the page and have it re-established as he is a well known figure in our area and industry.

I'm a bit confused because you've deleted the Wiki page related to AMESim, the system simulation software. Hi, another had proposed for the deletion of AMESim, and was deleted seven days after that went uncontested. Basically, the article did not appear to met the notability guideline, as there were no citations that discussion the software in-depth. It also read like an advertisement, and if you have any relation to the the software (say, a developer or something like that), there may also be a conflict of interest on your part. The image was Photoshopped (i) to highlight Clive Langer who is in the background, (ii) to crop out unnecessary dark space and (iii) to convert from tiff to optimized jpg. How should we have achieve this without using Photoshop?

As to deletion, we were given to 12th December to provide permission. You deleted the file at 01:19 on 12th December - less than an hour and-a-half after deadline (and 3 days after we had provided permission).

Deletion Restoration from October 2011

Hi Explicit!

A sandbox article on Inspiration Cosmetics was deleted in October 2011. I came on to complete the article as we now have had coverage by major media to provide credibility points.

I'm pretty new to the article creation process. The notation on my page FredClaus!2389 mentions I should contact you to see if you could restore the page for editing and resubmission.

Can you please restore the deleted page of Gilbert Hitch, Artist? It was deleted in January of 2013. This decision really has important consequences for artists of stamps around the world. It sets a precedent for all artists of this category. I was hoping for an intellectual debate on the subject of "Is a designer of stamps notable for purposes of Wikipedia".

Sadly the decision to delete was based on a simple count of "Keep" vs "Delete". The following is an account of the debate before deletion.

"I have studied the WP:BIO requirements. I have referred to the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Common outcomes "Notability on Wikipedia is an inclusion criterion based on the encyclopedic suitability of an article topic. But it is my submission that he is worthy of notice for "significant, interesting enough to deserve attention or to be recorded" 1). If we examine the basic criteria for notability WP:BASIC "A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published[3] secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other,[4] and independent of the subject.[5] If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources may not be sufficient to establish notability.[6] Primary sources may be used to support content in an article, but they do not contribute toward proving the notability of a subject. People who meet the basic criteria may be considered notable without meeting the additional criteria below. Articles may still not be created for such people if they fall under exclusionary criteria, such as being notable only for a single event, or such as those listed in What Wikipedia is not." It is my submission that Hitch satisfies this. He is not the subject of an in depth study but he is listed in multiple independent secondary sources that demonstrate notability. The book "Norfolk Island Stamps 1947 - 1991" and many issues of the 'Australian Stamp Bulletin' identify him as the designer of stamps. 2). The criteria for any bio WP:ANYBIO "The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for one several times. The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field.[7]" It is my submission that Hitch satisfies this by virtue of his widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his specific field. 3). Creative professionals WP:CREATIVE "The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors. The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique. The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews. The person's work (or works) either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums." a) Hitch is regarded as an important figure by his successors on Norfolk Island for his philatelic contribution. The article was proposed for deletion by another editor with that rationale, and I came deleted the page because it went uncontested for seven days. In order to merit an article on Wikipedia, the subject must meet the guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning people. That means that multiple reliable sources of information on the topic must exist, and those sources must not associated to the subject itself. — ξ^xplicit 23:13, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
