Bot report
Hello Cyberpower678, first of all sorry for my bad english. I think your bot InternetArchiveBot must have a report system available for non registered users, even for registered users like me (I have got a «Permission error», so I will report here). This is a wrong edition. The bot only changes a space in the access date? Why? The bot should have done it this way. Regards. -- Leoncastro (talk) 20:29, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Leoncastro: Two things. First when you went to the tool, you may have been on the wrong wiki, thus it pulled the permissions you held from said wiki. Make sure you are on the Spanish Wikipedia next time. You should have the permissions there. Secondly, the report false positive tool would not be the right place to report this anyway. You need to report it as a bug at https://tools.wmflabs.org/iabot/index.php?page=reportbug. You need a Phabricator account to do so. Thirdly, it's a known bug, and I plan on getting it fixed in the foreseeable future. Hope this helps. :-)—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 13:34, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for the answer, maybe you are right and I tried to access to the tool from the English Wikipedia. Sorry for that. But this is not a valid system according to the local policy in eswiki. You must accept comments and reports of unregistered users. I do not know the English policies, but on Spanish Wikipedia, everyone can edit, comment and report. Even without an account. -- Leoncastro (talk) 13:45, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Then all they need to do is leave me a message on my talk pages as you did. I use Phabricator because it helps to keep track of the bug reports and so they don't get forgotten or lost. It's a central place. Phabricator is also the official bug reporting tool of the WMF.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 13:47, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

Filter 384
Hm. So you recently changed filter 384 to also look at the edit summary. Was there a reason you put that outside of the exceptions? Not criticizing, just wondering. There is already a false positive where a new editor was prevented from removing vandalism because he explained what he removed in the edit summary. Thanks. Someguy1221 (talk) 03:43, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Addendum, I now notice it was not vandalism, the video being referenced really was uploaded by "what hte fuck". Someguy1221 (talk) 03:47, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Someguy1221: An LTA was prolifically harassing and attacking another editor by covertly undoing another user's edits with the summary "What's up chicken sh1t". I was forced to add that to the filter to put a stop to it. Also, it doesn't matter in this instance if it's bundled with the remaining conditions or not, the filter would have still tripped.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 14:58, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
Cyberbot 1 creating adminstats for non-admin users
There have been a few discussions on this at TfD suggesting that the behaviour of Cyberbot 1 of creating adminstats pages for users who are not admins or account creators with an error message is undesirable, as the pages spam the unused templates database report. BU Rob13 has deleted a number of them multiple times, and I've just deleted another batch today that the bot recreated. Please adjust the behaviour of the bot so that if it would create a new adminstats page with the error message, it will instead not create the page. For background please see Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2016 September 11#Template:Adminstats/!dea4u and Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2018 June 18#Non-admin adminstats. I would have pinged you in the latest discussion but I didn't realize this was something done by the bot until I started deleting the pages and seeing the deletion logs. The adminstats pseudonamespace also seems to be being used for spam, so not having these error pages adding noise to the report will help us deal with that problem. Thanks. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:05, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Ivanvector: Think that we can put a full creation protection so that bot can't create these any more. Hhkohh (talk) 05:10, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hhkohh That seems backwards — why bother protecting pages forever if Cyber can (easily?) change bot behavior? That doesn't help anything going forward, either. Moreover, we can try and find the offending use of {{Adminstats}} by a user, and remove it. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 12:17, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- We could protect the pages that have already been created and re-created, but it would be one-by-one and would not prevent new non-admin/AC pages from being created. We can't protect a subfolder of a namespace, and we can't regex salt "adminstats" (for example) because then this bot task wouldn't work at all. If it's to be fixed properly the bot needs its code tweaked. Another issue is that as far as I know the way to get the bot to run is to put {{adminstats}} on your user page, but the bot is running for users who have never had that code on their user page, for example Jazzy Prinker (talk · contribs), so maybe something is more broken than we think it is.
- Courtesy ping RHaworth who has re-deleted some of the pages that the bot re-created since I deleted them just yesterday. It's probably best to just leave these alone until the situation is resolved. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:27, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Salting them? Waste of time. Blocking the bot? Good idea - I have done it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:14, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- @RHaworth: Blocking the bot is NOT a good idea because the bot will not archive requests in WP:RPP, it is better to use User:Cyberbot I/Run/Adminstats to shutoff instead. Pinging Ivanvector and Amorymeltzer, thanks. Hhkohh (talk) 13:23, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- OK, I've tried it that way though I see no instructions about what I should do. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:52, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- RHaworth, you should disable in User:Cyberbot I/Run/Adminstats, not in User:Cyberpower678/RunI.js (I think) per User:Cyberbot I#Shutoff Procedure. Hhkohh (talk) 14:13, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- @RHaworth: No disrespect intended, but you just demonstrated yourself to have a "block first, ask questions later mentality". You claim there are no instructions to shut the bot off, but the user page very clearly lays out instructions. I have no idea how you landed on the bot's master switch, which essentially shuts the entire bot down, but as Hhkohh pointed out the run page is located at User:Cyberbot I/Run/Adminstats. I have disabled the bot task.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 14:24, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think we even want/need to do that. Until Cyber changes the bot, we might as well let it run — it should be straightforward to find any it creates, and we can find the improper transclusions and fix them. Basically, if we turn the bot on, any that are still being transcluded will get recreated in, what, 12-16 hours? Any blue links on the TfD page can then be tracked down and fixed. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 14:45, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Amorymeltzer: See this list which RHaworth deleted Adminstats today and you can temporarily restore it to track it if you need. Hhkohh (talk) 15:00, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Cyberpower678 or Ivanvector, either opposed to my comment above? A number of the transclusions have seemingly been taken care of, and any that get (re)created we can track down and remove. Not super urgent that we need to wait for code changes. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 19:38, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

- User:Jazzy Prinker/sandbox transcludes User:Fox/l which transcludes User:Fox/d, which (incorrectly) transcludes {{Adminstats}}, which I think is why the bot created a template for Jazzy. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 12:40, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Aha, solved that one then. I commented out the transclusion. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:49, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, all cases are probably caused by the userspace transcluding {{Adminstats}} at the time. I have removed a current transclusion for many of them. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:26, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- OMG! I just logged on and found I was trending. It seems my sandbox here has caused some problems but then hey, it gave you some food for thought. And then I didn't like it that everything was wiped off my sandbox... the fact that I don't have freedom to do 'whatever' on my "sandbox". I hope there could be some other solution. Cheers! - Jazzy Prinker (talk) 14:33, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Amorymeltzer: I am not opposed your solution, but if the bot recreate the templates again by accident, what should we do the next? Hhkohh (talk) 14:59, 23 June 2018 (UTC)

Cyberbot I not updating admin stats
Cyberbot I seems to have been down. The last update on my stats was June 19:
- @Maile66: See top section.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 23:33, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I read that. I don't exactly follow how that relates, unless it's that the bot is having issues that need to be worked out. — Maile (talk)

Question about IABot
Hello, while I using the bot via the IABot Management Interface this edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=847215733&oldid=845379743&title=I.O.I&type=revision was made. The section bot=Redalert2fan was added. I am not a bot so is this working as intended? Thanks Redalert2fan (talk) 18:36, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes it is. An automated process was used to add that on your behalf.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 18:38, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
InternetArchiveBot and example.com
Hi1 Looks like in some cases InternetArchiveBot thinks example.com is a dead link. See:[[3]. Probably need a wildcard at the end. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:20, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Not a problem. As that diff shows, IABot stay clear of anything inside nowiki tags.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 20:23, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- It seems unreasonable to require everyone who uses example.com as an example to use nowiki just because a bot cannot tell a valid rfc2606-compliant URL from a dead link. The bot should be fixed. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:44, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- It’s not unreasonable at all. You can put a formatting tag around it or append
{{Cbignore}}
behind the URL. Granted example.com should probably be ignored, IABot has a lot more higher priority fixes waiting to happen.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 21:29, 23 June 2018 (UTC)

IAbot on spanish Wikipedia fixing link that can't~be fixed (and I'm unsure wether it should be fixed)
So, I founda link on Yata no Kagami that couldn't be fixed by the Internet Archive due to robots.txt, and reading up on the broken link template, apparently one should avoid fixing anything other than links used as citations or references, which this link wasn't. So far I've deleted the template and left the link and decided to cntact you, as you appear as the bot's operator, but I must admit I'm in over my head here and now I'm not really sure wether I'm contacting the right person, nor if this is even an actual issue or not. 78.30.26.29 (talk) 10:58, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
Use bot in all pages in a category
Hello @Cyberpower678:,
Is it possible to add all pages in a category (like this one for example) in your bot submit page ? Because I would like to use it for some categories but I don't know how to set all pages.
Cordially. --Niridya (talk) 16:14, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- You should type in "Catégorie:Portail:Nucléaire/Articles liés" into the page list. But the bot queue is currently broken right now. Sorry. It will be fixed soon.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 16:29, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

Bot wars
See this edit. It caused Twinkle to fail on automatic posting of the next AfD nomination because it put the new item on the same line as <!-- Add new entries to the TOP of the following list -->. Solution: the Mathbot initialisation of a new AfD day should end with a newline code. (Also Twinkle could be changed to look for the "add new entries" without including the new line code.) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:03, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

Book report, found a ray of light
Cyberpower, I think I found a possible solution of the Cyberbot failing for book report. If you see, in {{Book report time}}, the bot starts by updating the timestamp. Last it updated on 00:00, February 23, 2018. However, the same day, Primefac full protected the template. Since then the bot stopped updated book reports. Also as per the code trunk, it would probably begin from there. What do you think? Pinging @Headbomb: also. —IB [ Poke ] 15:22, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Cyberpower678: you're an admin here. I take it you could grant CyberBot template editing rights? Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 15:38, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- Pinging @Richard0612: since they're looking into the bot as well. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 16:37, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yep, seems logical that that's the problem. Granting the bot TE rights seems the logical solution. ƒirefly ( t · c · who? ) 08:17, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Firefly and Headbomb: and Cyberpower, The bot started updating the report again. Thanks all. —IB [ Poke ] 04:11, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- What is the issue that you are seeing now? —IB [ Poke ] 14:35, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Unban request for file and file talk namespaces
I am here to request an unban for the file and file talk namespaces, under the current conditions I can't upload any images to Wikipedia and could I get permanently banned if I were to move a file on Wikimedia Commons (note that I want to request the file mover user right there), also I've had over 20.000 uploads and only a very small number of my uploads were deleted with most of them being requested by myself. And for the record I've never had any issues in either namespace. --Donald Trung (talk) 07:15, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

InternetArchiveBot
Maybe you would like to operate with InternetArchiveBot on hr.wp (changing dead links with archived ones)? It would be helpful on hr.wp.--Ma▀▄Ga 17:21, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

- Starting on July 9, the WMF Security team, Trust & Safety, and the broader technical community will be seeking input on an upcoming change that will restrict editing of site-wide JavaScript and CSS to a new technical administrators user group. Bureaucrats and stewards will be able to grant this right per a community-defined process. The intention is to reduce the number of accounts who can edit frontend code to those who actually need to, which in turn lessens the risk of malicious code being added that compromises the security and privacy of everyone who accesses Wikipedia. For more information, please review the FAQ.
- Syntax highlighting has been graduated from a Beta feature on the English Wikipedia. This feature can help prevent you from making mistakes when editing complex templates.
- IP-based cookie blocks should be deployed to English Wikipedia in July (previously scheduled for June). This will cause the block of a logged-out user to be reloaded if they change IPs. This means in most cases, you may no longer need to do /64 range blocks on residential IPv6 addresses in order to effectively block the end user. It will also help combat abuse from IP hoppers in general. For the time being, it only affects users of the desktop interface.

Cyberbot section header
I just came across this edit, which used the following text as its section header on a user talk page: "Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. What still needs resolving is for former sysops, i.e. whether they should retain the use of the template or not. Is making this type of code change something you would be able to look in to? — xaosflux Talk 22:39, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

- OK, so it looks like {{admin dashboard}} may have been the culprit for "asking" for stats for people that were not able to have them. I removed it from there and will try enabling this again. Not sure how many stats users were only getting because of the dashboard though, but we can use this as a good first round - feel free to ping me if there is cleanup needed. — xaosflux Talk 14:18, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi! You probably know this but please make sure you have requested and obtained the bot flag (Wiktionary:Bots) before running any large-scale automated processes there. Thanks. Equinox ◑ 20:10, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

Limited permission request
I am asking when I might be allowed to tend to the following articles of mine which have been deleted since my topic ban. In none of these has anyone tended to merging what is useable in the deleted articles with the article I list below each. I would like to tend to this when allowed. I suggest that my ban was for a very limited activity that I only came to understand after the ban: consensus itself as the determinant in content disputes. I would not be editing any high school articles, only eight universities and two church sites.

- The wording of your ban includes "broadly construed", which suggests something contrary to your argument. I can't unilaterally overturn the scope of the ban. With that being said, IMO, you would be in violation of your topic ban if you were to edit these articles. AFAIK, you need to appeal your ban to the community, which based on your response, might be accepted.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 19:04, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Requesting your input (and other Obi-Wan Kenobis of botdom)
Posting here where you're more active, than at Commons. This actually has to do with a proposed process going on at Commons, but they probably need bot technical input on this discussion. Recent blocking events have resulted in a discussion for a notification process for blocked editors, and providing information about requesting unblock. The general discussion is Proposals to improve the appeal options for blocked users and making sure they're properly informed. CaroleHenson has drafted a c:User:CaroleHenson/VP proposal regarding user talk page templates. Commons apparently doesn't necessarily operate with the same technical details as Wikipedia. But I really think it would be helpful if some bot-gods from WP would offer some technical advice. — Maile (talk) 00:18, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, that would be lovely! As a heads up, someone from Commons did work on the formatting to make it look as much like the existing templates as possible, thinking that would make them more acceptable.–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:58, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- This looks like a policy discussion regarding behavioral limits of sysops there and the block appeals process. I'm not sure what input is needed from me.—CYBERPOWER (Around) 03:34, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
Supercount
Did you discontinue the supercount tool and redirect it to xtools? I preferred that tool so much more over the xtools version. It was faster and did what I wanted to without all the extra information that xtools provides that I find useless. If so I just want to voice my gratitude for keeping that tool running for so long. It is a shame that it is no longer usable. --Majora (talk) 02:43, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Bot failure
This edit [7], the zip-archive is there. Jeblad (talk) 12:34, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Jeblad: Are you referring to http://www.informatik.tu-freiberg.de/xboole/XBOOLEMonitor.zip?Submit=XBOOLE+Monitor ? I would say it's placing the default flag when an archive URL is present, but the template right before that has the deadurl parameter set to no. :/. So obviously something inconsistent is happening here. Would you mind filing a task on Phabricator?—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 13:30, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

I found that the settings for IABot has deadlink=yes by default if the archive URL is present in the template, which I believe is the template's behavioral default. So now it doesn't explain why the first one has been set to no. Like I said, there's an inconsistency somewhere. As for the settings, should I set it to no? I believe the template's default is to classify the URL as dead if the archive URL is defined without the dead-link parameter.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 15:02, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Cyberbot and RfPP
Cyberbot often makes edits to alphabetize the requests with no apparent reason, and makes the edit without archiving any of the numerous handled cases there. Additionally, it keeps the backlog notice up when there is no backlog. See this edit where virtually every request has been handled, but the bot only archives a few of them, and leaves the backlog notice up. Enigmamsg 23:15, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- Cyberbot sorts it in chronological order following a discussion when RfPP was restructured. As for archiving, Cyberbot follows a timer. As for the miscount in pending requests, no idea what's causing that.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 23:23, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- See User:Cyberbot I/RFPP—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 23:27, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- If you look at the page as of my comment now, you'll see multiple cases that were handled over 2 hours ago but not archived. Enigmamsg 23:54, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- Still the same. A bunch of stuff has not been archived, the bot erroneously marks it as a backlog. [8] Enigmamsg 00:41, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- Bot still making edits to declare a backlog, all the while not archiving many of the old cases. [9] [10] Enigmamsg 02:06, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

InternetArchiveBot question that FAQ didn't address
Hello! I encountered an older edit by InternetArchiveBot (v1.6.1 at the time) where it attempted to rescue a dead link but was not able to and tagged it as permanently dead (diff). However, the link is available in the Wayback Machine. I am an inexperienced user and I wasn't sure after reading the FAQ if it was appropriate to submit this as an issue, as it is an older edit and did not fall under the false positive category. I also haven't read up on how article citations should be edited yet... I mostly just fix typos. :P —Undead Shambles (talk) 11:11, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
PR so CyberBot I won't make non-sysop Adminstats
I know you're likely sick of this whole subject, but I've taken care of all the non-sysop adminstats templates that folks took issue with. Just to put a bow on it, I opened a pull request that I think would stop non-sysop Adminstats from getting created, as that seems to be the desire. Not urgent, but just figured I'd alert you here to that here as well. Thanks, ~ Amory (u • t • c) 17:12, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
Unban request
Several days ago I created a page because I thought it should be a disambiguation but apparently I used the wrong template and prefer to ask about such conventions in the help desk or similar "Help:" And "Help talk:" Pages, as I have no right to ask these questions under my current restrictions I'm afraid that making another one of these mistakes could be seen as "disruptive" which could lead to permanent ban. Also if possible I would like to participate in WikiProjects again (specifically just "Wikipedia:WikiProject" and related pages) as people there can help with more specific questions. I don't see the use of adding collaborative templates if I'm not allowed to collaborate on this project, or what a ban from help and WikiProject pages have to do with an emoji signature. --Donald Trung (talk) 17:03, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- No issues with the Help and Help talk namespaces, but I recall you being problematic in the Wikipedia namespaces.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 17:06, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- That was with a signature, and you can check all my edits to WikiProjects, as I'll be allowed to participate in AfDs after 6 months where most of Wikipedia space edits were it would make little sense to ban me from WikiProjects, just curious by why a ban from all non-Wikipedia spaces if the issues were isolated to there? That seems to be WP:PUNISH rather than any preventative measure. --Donald Trung (talk) 17:14, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
Unrelated, but User:Жирная корова бля contains a swear word, maybe it would be wise for a sysop to hide that name from the records. --Donald Trung (talk) 17:26, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
AfD Somatemps
I have removed the AfD tag in Somatemps because the user who put it did not warn in the talk page. I have read in the template that a user can remove it if the talk page is not used to put a notice. Filiprino (talk) 00:06, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

IABot question I didn't find addressed in the FAQ
That might sound like a stupid question but I cannot find an answer: How come when I click "repair dead links", the bot makes edits under my username but when other people use it, I see the bot edits the article under its own username. Is that because of the +sysop flag? Regards SoWhy 12:11, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @SoWhy: When you use "Fix a single page" (repair dead links) it makes the edits with your account, but you can also submit a bot job via the IABot Management Interface by using "Queue bot to run run on multiple pages" under "Run bot" this way the bot will analyze the list of articles you have submitted and in the edit summary it will poste a note by which user the job was submitted. If I'm correct the bot also runs from A to Z by itself so then there won't be any user. Hope this helps, Redalert2fan (talk) 12:27, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- Ahhh, that does make sense. Thanks @Redalert2fan! (nice username btw ;-)) Regards SoWhy 12:31, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Cyberpower678, I ask for an intervention of your bot (InternetArchiveBot) in co.wiki: there are few external links but some of them are wrong. Can you do it? --Jumpy01 (talk) 22:07, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

An issue and many thanks
The bot InternetArchiveBot made two errors in an edit on the Swedish Wikipedia here. First, it got the title wrong and used the name "Arkiverade kopian" (perhaps because the Swedish parameter in the previously used Wayback-template is "titel" and not "title"). Second, it used a parameter without a name. There is no parameter name to the left of the equal sign before the original url. Last, 99 thanks for running the InternetArchiveBot. It performs a very important task and I appreciate it very much. --Bensin (talk) 07:17, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Bensin: The failure to carry over the title correctly is a known bug that will be fixed in the next beta. Also fixed in the next beta is the empty parameter issue. Thanks for the report.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 23:08, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

Archive an entire domain
Hello! After deploying IABot on the Hungarian Wikipedia, I think we can deal with this request. In summary, Magyar Nemzet's last edition was published in April and its website (mno.hu) can die anytime. Would it be possible that we archive these links? I am just guessing, but probably “Manage entire domains” is our man, right? Furthermore, can I ask that when v2.0beta4 will be available for us? Best regards, Bencemac (talk) 07:07, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @Bencemac: InternetArchiveBot doesn't archive pages, as far as I'm aware; it just fixes dead links. If the website still hasn't been entirely archived, maybe you could try asking the people at https://archiveteam.org (not affiliated with the Internet Archive). Jc86035 (talk) 08:39, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Jc86035: I know it, I mean IABot should archive the links if there are archived versions (like the domain would be dead). Bencemac (talk) 08:52, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- IABot can submit pages for archiving if it needs to but it's much easier to submit domains to the Wayback devs and have them run their crawlers. In case I forgot, I submitted a request to the devs.—CYBERPOWER (Around) 12:33, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- Does this mean that IABot will archive these links if it finds their archives? Bencemac (talk) 19:15, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- If Internet Archive has the linked archived, and the original is dead, IABot will add the archive to it.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 23:10, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- It looks like I was not clear enough. The original links are not dead because the domain is still alive, so IABot is not archiving these links. Could it be possible that IABot archives these link (inserts archiveurl etc.) even thought they are alive? Bencemac (talk) 12:23, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- Unless set on the configuration, no it won't. It will only add archive URLs to dead links. You can also use the tool to add archives to live URLs with the Single Page Analysis tool.—CYBERPOWER (Around) 12:25, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

InternetArchiveBot
Hi Cyberpower, the "InternetArchiveBot" started working in the ptwiki, but is causing some minor problems:
- The "Wayb" is a parameter that performs the same function as the "archiveurl", but with more practical functionality for those who file the references.
- Therefore, the robot archives sources that are already archived and results in redundant parameters, and this results in errors in sources, see this article. In the references, the problems presented in red
- Another problem is that sometimes the robot is archiving with the parameter "archiveurl" and the link was already archived in the reference itself about the parameter "arquivourl"
- Results in the same problem, see

Curious
This edit added the archive link to a citation that already had it. This resulted in the citation showing the following error messages: "More than one of |archiveurl= and |archive-url= specified (help); More than one of |archivedate= and |archive-date= specified (help); More than one of |accessdate= and |access-date= specified (help)".
