Ball culture categories

[edit]

Hi CC, we don't categorize into groups that only contain one article. The cats for Houses who have multiple notable members are fine, but the others are best placed in Category:Ball culture (the parent category) than to be left alone in their own category. The aforementioned category isn't that big either, so there isn't much of a need to subdivide. czar 16:44, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay czar. Thank you.CultureCouture (talk) 23:13, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Papa Joe Aviance has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable individual lacking notability beyond WP:1EVENT. Subject is known for losing weight.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 00:42, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CC, I don't know whether you are aware but this discussion should have been closed yesterday since its last relist. I have pinged the two admins and asked them to close it. This is just to notify you. Senegambianamestudy (talk) 10:12, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CC, this is just to notify you that this article has been relisted three times in a raw which is a clear contravention of Wiki policy. In my opinion, this is a clear keep or no consensus. There is no rationale for relisting 3 times in a row. I have stated this to one of the relisters [1]. I understand this process can be very disheartening, but I hope you don't get discouraged and leave the project. We need you here. Senegambianamestudy (talk) 22:16, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your advice. I don't know why it was relisted thrice in a row. To delay closing by 2 days and now this! I'm over it. CultureCouture (talk) 03:19, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just to notify you that there is currently a discussion taking place at ANI

A tag has been placed on Category:Democratic Congress Alliance (Gambia) politicians requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Hello. Thank you for your message, but I have no connection to this artist than than my sheer interest in dance and the performing arts in general as you can see on my user page. I work on numerous dance and culture articles and currently working on Conrad Rochester as seen in my sandbox. However, I thank you for letting me know what I already knew.CultureCouture (talk) 01:04, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Further, I have just seen your edit summary here. I have no issue with you reverting my edits, but please be mindful of accusing editors of COI in the edit summary, as it is extremely dangerous and not assuming WP:Good faith.CultureCouture (talk) 01:18, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
