Why was this deleted? Your edit summary "redirect to a deleted or non-existent page" was not factual. Perhaps you clicked the wrong button? I would appreciate if you could restore it a.s.a.p. Rapido (talk) 13:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Financial Data Vendors
hello, please could you restor the apge Financial Data Vendors. I shall update it and rewrite it to prevent it looking like advertising and bring this hidden industry into the light. Thank you. Rgnewbury (talk) 13:39, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Could you tell me why you contested the prod? I'm trying to do my due diligence before (if) I take the article to AfD, so if you have some insight that I don't, I'm all ears. Katr67 (talk) 17:01, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I see you were referring to the previous removal of the prod tag. I thought the user who added the death info, who has a history of adding unsourced info to articles, might be doing a hoax edit. So I disregarded the prod removal. Turns out that Morse's MySpace page announced that he had indeed died. Not a reliable source but I'll wait a decent interval before I take it to Afd--I'm still not convinced he's at all notable. Restore the page Mitr
Hi closedmouth. I respect the terms and policies of wikipedia, whatever you are doing is completely under the restrictions. I have submit a article Mitr which has been deleted though i have given all the required references but still i was unable to prevent it. I just want to ask that is there any possibility so that article can be restored or part of it can restored. Because this is really a very nice article it can help much for the software developers.
Thankyou--Nandssiib (talk) 09:47, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

TorontoIrish F.C.
Seems you deleted Toronto Irish F.C.'s page, can I ask the reason for this please?
The club was set up as a meeting place for all immigrants to Toronto who wish to partake and socialise in football related activities. We have links to the Irish Society and to various different organizations in Toronto. The page was a useful tool to get our message out and have a bit of information about the club in the public domain, thus making it easier for complete strangers to look us up and then to come and join the club.
I ask that you reconsider this deletion.

Fastmail.fm page deletion
As an IT professional, I would like to state my opinion that the deletion of the page for Fastmail.fm is very unfortunate. The service is not heavily advertised but, among those in the know, is recognized as one of the most robust and feature rich email systems around, and a bigger service than many are aware. See, for instance, the recent slashdot.org article
http://tech.slashdot.org/story/09/10/03/2131247/Interview-With-Jeremy-Howard-of-FastMailfm?from=rss
I appreciate that the article needed editing to remove some advertising-like content. However, the removal of the article in total was a mistake. --58.8.248.130 (talk) 09:43, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't delete the original article, I merely deleted some redirects to the deleted page. I would suggest taking your objection to Fastily (talk · contribs), the deleting admin. Thanks. --Closedmouth (talk) 10:20, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

- Wow! A hardcore Admin doesn't know how to do a rangeblock? Maybe you aren't J.delanoy (Who needs to get a life), so that's fine I suppose. Well, I'm studying Computer Networking, so here's a bit of layman's help: Do a /24 range block means that you are blocking up to 256 possible IP addresses, do a /16 range block means you are blocking up to 65536 IP addresses! The number of usable IP Addresses should be deducted by two, since the first and last address of the subnet are often reserved for special purposes. But maybe you are struggling with the Wikipedia software interface instead of the the theory, so if you got a problem, send me your password and I'll show you how it can be done ;-)
- P.S: You might wanna try a /16 range block for 5 years on my ISP to see how much collateral damage it can result.

Atlassian
Hi, I wanted to ask if you might restore the Atlassian article. First, it's not a new article and the speedy request was the only edit of the user who did it. The article did need a lot of work, but the company is extremely notable as far as software companies go. Their products, such as JIRA and Confluence are popular with developers, and they're even considered a serious competitor with Microsoft in some respects. A quick Google News search shows tons of hits in reliable sources, and the article really just needs work to be less promotional-looking, which I'm willing to do. What do you think? Steven Walling 00:31, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Copyright inquiry
Hey, I received several messages concerning copyright issues about the pictures I recently have uploaded to the Encounter_(game) page. The thing is I have copied these pictures from the Russian version of the page, where those pictures' copyrights are ok. Is there any way i could transfer the copyright from their Russian version or maybe I could input them from there somehow. Please assist me on this Thanks for your concern Atknot (talk) 14:30, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, hmm, seems to be available under a free license. Which means it can be moved to Commons which means you don't have to worry about copyright tagging a local file. I think Killiondude watches this page, he can help you with that, I'm busy IRL at the moment. http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A4%D0%B0%D0%B9%D0%BB:Logo-encounter.png --Closedmouth (talk) 12:39, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Copyright AceReid.jpg and AceReid2.jpg
I own both of these pictures. I can't for the life of me figure out how I'm supposed to tag them. It is fine to give them Fair Use status. I just can't figure out which tag or where to put the tag. Sorry for being so dumb. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justamovie (talk • contribs) 21:56, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
- That's okay, it can be pretty confusing at the best of times. First we have to know if you own the copyright to the images themselves; if you don't, they can be claimed as fair use/non-free and someone can tag them appropriately. If you do, and you wish to release them under a free content license, you can just tell us which one (public domain, creative commons, etc.) and we can do the tagging for you on that too. Like I said above, I'm quite busy at the moment, so I can probably dump this on Killiondude as well. He's better at this stuff than I am anyway. *nudge nudge* --Closedmouth (talk) 12:48, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- If you didn't take the main pictures with your own camera, it is likely that you don't own the copyright to the pictures. If you did take the pictures yourself, then you can assign a license. You can see here for more info on the licenses available to you. Killiondude (talk) 01:42, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Protection for Flocke
Hello, Closedmouth, I saw you protected Flocke for several days, but it's today's Featured Article; per WP:TFAP "Wikipedia's Main Page featured article should not be fully protected; and should only be semi-protected for short periods if there is an extreme level of vandalism." Oh, and I didn't mention it in the prot summary because I prefer to WP:DENY on-wiki, otherwise it just becomes even more of a game for them. --Closedmouth (talk) 16:03, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Speedy Delete of Crucible (software)
Hello. Just wondering about the speedy deletion of the page Crucible (Software) - 12:22, 20 January 2010 Closedmouth (talk | contribs) deleted "Crucible (software)" (Speedy deleted per CSD G8, redirect to deleted page "Atlassian". using TW). Crucible is an actual product from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlassian like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FishEye_%28software%29 It isn't dependent on a non-existent or deleted page. Thanks! Tbuntel (talk) 02:29, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- Restored. Thanks. Killiondude (talk) 01:05, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
I noticed that you have deleted the Andy Raleigh article. Now obviously this was only a redirect after someone accidentally incubated it, but I was wondering if you could restore the original article of the Super League veteran. Many thanks in anticipation. This deal is getting worse all the time. (talk) 16:36, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but any chance one way or the other. This deal is getting worse all the time. (talk) 15:19, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- If you follow the move log for that page, I think the content you're looking for is at Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Unreferenced BLPs/Andy Raleigh. Killiondude (talk) 01:02, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
This should not redirect to pelvic pain. It should redirect to rectal pain. The fact that we do not have a page on rectal pain yet does not change the matter. Please discuss first.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:01, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- No. See WP:CSD#G8. Either it redirects to a real article or it is deleted. Killiondude (talk) 20:05, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- Rectal pain now exists.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:03, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
You Deleted Sonic120's User Page
I am using Sonic120 as my alternate account, so don't delete the redirect to my user page because it is my alternate account. If you want to talk to me, please do so on my talk page. Keyboard mouse (talk) 22:55, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- Redirected to your talk page. See WP:CSD#G8. Redirects to non-existant pages get deleted pretty quickly. Killiondude (talk) 00:50, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Sitefinity Page
I noticed that you have deleted the Sitefinity page on January 25, 2010 due to the fact that it is an orphaned page. We would like to edit and publish the Sitefinity page again. Could you please send us the previous version so that we can revise and update it?
Thank you very much!
--Sitefinity (talk) 12:34, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- It was deleted because it redirected to Telerik, which was deleted. Because it was deleted as being primarily of promotional material, and non-encyclopedic, I would recommend that you start from scratch and create a new article if you're interested in doing so. See WP:Your first article and WP:AW2. Killiondude (talk) 01:00, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your feedback. We prepared a new Sitefinity page from scratch as you suggested. The article is currently waiting for review. User:Sitefinity Could you please review it and help us publish it?
Thank you in advance.

User:Iulia e/Popfax (internet fax service)
Hello,
I am a newbie in posting info on Wikipedia, and I really need your help man.
I have seen from the deletion log that you deleted the post "12:51, 22 February 2010 Closedmouth (talk | contribs) deleted "User:Iulia e/Popfax (internet fax service)" (Speedy deleted per CSD G8, redirect to a deleted or non-existent page. using TW)"
I wanted just to present the company as many other companies do, please consider the following service competitors that are listed on wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EFax_%28fax_service%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efax_%28software%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RingCentral
Could you please suggest me some ideas, how to publish info about the Popfax service, not to be deleted?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards, Iulia

AfD
Hi. Thanks for your edit summary for the article Neuralyzers. The fact is the creator of the article simply removed the original PROD tag, without explanation, shortly after it was placed there (this being the only contesting of said deletion). After being told I could not restore the original prod tag, I renominated it, the article is listed here accordingly: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Neuralyzers (2nd nomination). Do I need to modify this nomination on AfD now that the second PROD tag on the article has been removed? Or will it be sufficient to leave it like it is? I apologise for the trouble, I'm finding this all new and a tad confusing. Freikorp (talk) 07:01, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- Seems fine as it is. For future reference, if a prod tag is removed for pretty much any reason, it's considered contested, and if the nominator still wants it deleted, they should take it to AFD rather than restore the tag. Prod is designed for pages that nobody would care about having deleted, so if someone removes the tag it means that's not true. Now I'm just rambling, I should sleep. --Closedmouth (talk) 12:58, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Autoreviewer
Re this grant, I'm a little concerned about the articles created by this user. I'm somewhat biased, I suppose, given that I nominated one for deletion (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tiffany's, dancehall)...so take this as truly a question rather than any complaint. My concern regards communication ability as well as whether or not the article is appropriate, and I see more articles being created that are similar. That's not to say that nothing created like these articles would be appropriate, but I'm not sure the autoreviewer bit is appropriate either. Your thoughts? Frank | talk 23:10, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- That article's pretty bad, I must say, and his English is rather wobbly. The autoreviewer status was requested by another user and after my own quick perusal of his edits, so if you think it's inappropriate, please feel free to remove it yourself, I don't mind. --Closedmouth (talk) 13:34, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that would look rather personal and possibly abusive, as I nominated that article for deletion. My main concern is that granting of autoreviewer gives the impression that articles created don't need review...and now there are more being created (such as Rafters (nightclub)) that may escape scrutiny because of it. Frank | talk 18:16, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
- That makes sense, removed. Although I thought the Rafters article was pretty decent, haha. --Closedmouth (talk) 13:50, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

blp
I've been going back over BLP deletions. Please restore Christopher Andronicos which you deleted as an expired prod. I think it makes a good case for WP:PROF. (I know I have the ability to do so myself, but I want to ask you first.) DGG ( talk ) 01:04, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Zugangserschwerungsgesetz
Hey there. I wanted to ask you what exactly happened to the article Zugangserschwerungsgesetz. Last time I checked (something like 1,5 months ago) this was a legitimate article about a subject of major discussion here in Germany. It seems that some idiot called User:Sydbrooks redirected it and turned it into nonsense, which led to speedy deletion by you. Is there a way to restore the article, cause its older version do not seem to qualify for speedy deletion. (here is the German article on said subject, it's really a big deal over here...)

Club100 Logo
Thanks for your message re copyright for the file Club100.png. There is no concern over copyright as I took the image with full consent from Club100 themselves. I'm still learning my way around Wikipedia so probably just ommited the necessary tags/information. I'll make any changes necessary. I just wanted to let you know that there is no issue with Copyright though.
Thanks

- They probably need to email permissions-enwikimedia.org (OTRS) to verify that they have released it under a free license. But I didn't search to see what file you're talking about specifically. Killiondude (talk) 22:25, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

TeamDynamixHE page
Hello. I'm new to Wikipedia and I contributed the TeamDynamixHE article. I did my best to follow all the directions -citations, copyrights, etc.- and I submitted the article for feedback. After two weeks without any feedback, I went ahead and posted the page out of my userspace and, when I was notified that it was being targeted for deletion, I posted the appropriate tags to be allowed to plead my case. I was not granted that request, and the page was deleted. I'm not hiding the fact that TeamDynamixHE is a company. AtTask provides software to address similar needs, as do all of the companies listed at Comparison of project management software. If any one of these companies is allowed to have a Wikipedia page, shouldn't they all be allowed? I'd appreciate your help so I can put the TeamDynamixHE article back up; I'll make every possible effort to make it Wikipedia-compliant. Thanks. Jhuber08 (talk) 20:57, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't delete the page, Fastily (talk · contribs) did; please take any objections you have to his talk page, thank you. --Closedmouth (talk) 00:13, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Will do. Thank you. 174.46.88.194 (talk) 22:21, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Help on range-hopping vandal.
Sorry to bother you and I don't know if you could do rangeblocks. But an Indonesian vandal who constantly puts misinformation into production studio articles, Digimon related anime, etc. has used the following three IP addresses just today with the same modus operandi:
- 202.70.58.34 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log)
- 202.70.58.6 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log)
- 202.70.58.110 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log)
A block 202.70.58.0/25 might be in order, although I might suggest 202.70.58.0/24 because the could appear anywhere in the 202.70.58.* range. Thank you. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:56, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
