Regarding the post which I mentioned at my Talk page
Hello,
I have requested an update which I expect to be have to an article → [1].
Thank you. The_Featured_EditiorTalk17:20, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
Please
I know you mean well, Blaze, and I so appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia and you as a person. You have helped myself and others on my talk page more times than I can count and for that I am grateful. As you have requested, I have stayed away from interacting with you on every level in order to honor you and your concerns. To my knowledge those concerns have not been addressed nor have I been relieved of the request you made. I ask that you honor me by not interacting with my user talk page until your concerns have been resolved or you relieve me of the request to not interact. I respect you as the amazing individual and editor that you are. I hope that one day we can go back to interacting with each other here. This is a request, not a discussion. --ARoseWolf 17:40, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @ARoseWolf: Hello RoseWolf. I'm merely avoiding interacting with you as a person. I'm not engaging in discussion on your talk page (or at least, not discussion that doesn't involve me) to do the same, however I'm keeping your talk page on my watchlist for 2 reasons, 1. I'm thinking this will merely be temporary and 2. To undo any unconstructive edits to your talk page (Which in this case, was a vandal that may have a compromised account based on their contribs). However, if you still would prefer me to unwatchlist your talk page to avoid interacting with your further then I will do so. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:44, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Rollback
2 doesn't appear to be blatant vandalism? Is this user blocked and evading or something? Perhaps just a regular revert would have been warranted? Unbroken Chain (talk) 18:09, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Unbroken Chain: I didn't say it was vandalism in my edit summary. I reverted it since it appeared to be non-constructive based on the user's other contributions. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:10, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- Understood but WP:ROLLBACKUSE use would imply that it should only be used in certain circumstances. Disliking a presumably good faith edit isn't. I could be wrong just sayin. Unbroken Chain (talk) 18:15, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Unbroken Chain: While yes that is true, I have Redwarn set to use Rollback which means that if I revert something using RW it will use Rollback, even for good faith edits. I can't choose what kind of edits RW uses Rollback for. It's either it uses Rollback or what Twinkle uses which is a rollback-like function. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:18, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- My apologies, you are all good. I didn't see the addendum below. It was my own flawed view of rollback. Thanks for the reply. Unbroken Chain (talk) 18:19, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Unbroken Chain: Yep no problem! To be honest I didn't know that addendum was even there. I just knew that even though I was using rollback, I was fine since it added an edit summary (and if I choose a specific option I can add my own) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:20, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

- Here's the kicker " If a tool or manual method is used to add an appropriate explanatory edit summary (as described in the Additional tools section below), then rollback may be freely used as with any other method of reverting. " My bad. Unbroken Chain (talk) 18:16, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

EF/FP/R
Hey, thanks for helping out at WP:EF/FP/R. FYI, there are some plausible reasons why someone might have an empty filter log. (1) They might have tripped an account creation filter. For privacy reasons those are logged under the account name, not the IP that was trying to create the account. (2) The IP might have changed. (3) The log entry might have been oversighted. (4) They might have encountered some other error but found their way to WP:EF/FP anyway. Now I rarelyget answers to questions like [3], but it doesn't hurt to ask. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 21:51, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Suffusion of Yellow: Yep I saw your edit summary. I usually use the reply tool which, for whatever reason, doesn't display the notice containing all the reply templates used there so I didn't discover them until just today. Hopefully that can be changed so the notice can display in the reply tool because I know it can (i've seen it on some people's talk pages). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:56, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- I wouldn't worry to much about the reply templates; they're mostly to control the bot archiving times. If nothing fits, you can just reply without using a template. One thing to remember is that users are sometimes at peak frustration when they're at EF/FP, so if they're not an obvious vandal or troll, try to be as helpful as possible. And if they are an obvious vandal or troll, consider also using uw-attempt2 (or higher) on their user talk page; they won't be reading your reply at EF/FP. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 22:11, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Suffusion of Yellow: Gotcha. Usually if they're just vandalizing I'll report them to WP:AIV with the additional info of "See also filter logs" ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 22:13, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, you'll find a wide variety of opinions as when vandals can be reported to AIV without warning. If it's just one or two cases of silly childish vandalism, I won't go to AIV just because they also clicked the button at EF/FP. But if they were stopped from adding a racist rant to some page AND are coming to EF/FP to repeat the rant, yeah, they're not going stop on their own and need a block IMO. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 22:41, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Suffusion of Yellow: I have a question about an edit filter and if you can't answer it that's fine. When I checked the filter logs for ऐक्टिवेटेड् to see what they were trying to do (in this case the filter was private so I couldn't see), I noticed that alone with the LTA filter, they also triggered a test filter that is for testing private filters. May I ask what the purpose of this test filter is and why it was triggered (if you can tell me)? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 23:43, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- Before setting a filter to disallow, or making tricky changes to a filter that's already disallowing, we like to test our changes first. With maybe 100,000 edits coming in every day, there's always something surprising. 2 (hist · log) has been used for all sorts of such tests; what it's looking for right now is unrelated to what it was looking for a year ago. So, you can basically just ignore anything with "test" in the filter name when figuring out a FP. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 20:49, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Suffusion of Yellow: Ah alright. Thanks for explaining. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 22:11, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Fazran fayad on User talk:Fazran fayad (17:09, 18 February 2022)
Bro, Is it possible for me to gift a cat to another user in here. (does it meet any criteria for the action?) --TFETalk..! 17:09, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fazran fayad: I would assume you're referring to Wikilove? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:11, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Some thing like that? 🤔 by the way if someone helped before any problem come in here. SO for the appreciation which gift is useful?
- whether Template:Kitten or something else?. --TFETalk..! 17:15, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fazran fayad: THat's up to you to decide. Some barnstars have a specific use case but there is a general one. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:17, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- oo, is there any valid policy to be followed or else it is allowed to give away? 🤗 --TFETalk..! 17:22, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fazran fayad: To my knowledge there is no policy regarding barnstars. Just.. don't overuse them or else they lose their meaning and special feeling. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:23, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- NO bro, I'm not using any barnstars; but some thing from this. like cake or kitten or anything.--TFETalk..! 17:25, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fazran fayad: They fall under the same category as barnstars so the same thing applies. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:26, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- oh.. is it?,Fine I got it. While I was thinking that there would be any policy to use them, Thank you for solving this concern. 🙂--TFETalk..! 17:29, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Personal user awards after reading this article this was asked.😎 other than that I thought there would be any policy for the usage 😄 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fazran fayad (talk • contribs) 17:33, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

A little discussion
First of all thanks for removing the tag. As you know all the things happening with Ayan's topics these days can you say what's actually going on? Particularly 1or2 IP's harassed me and by their editing habits it's clear that they don't want Ayan's article to come in the mainpage anyhow they wants to delete it whether it's in the draft form or in userpage form. ... २ तकरपेप्सी talk 19:34, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- @२ तकर पेप्सी: Couldn't tell ya. But just so you know, most CSD criteria do not apply to drafts or user sandboxes. Only speedy deletion criteria G2 (drafts only), G3, G4 (unlikely it'll apply to either drafts or sandboxes but it can happen), G5, G6, G7, G8, G9 (never seen this one but clearly it can happen, but probably not to a user sandbox), G10, G11, G12, and G13 (only applies to sandboxes in certain cases, and a bot will usually handle deleting drafts that would apply for this) along with U1, U2, and U5 (highly unlikely this would apply to a user sandbox) apply to drafts and user sandboxes. The rest do not apply at all to pages outside of their specific namespace (Article space for the A criteria, Redirects for the R criteria which CAN apply to a sandbox or draft but only if it's a redirect, File space for F criteria, Category space for C criteria, and Portals for P criteria). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:42, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- I understand but why some IP continuously waiting for deletion of him particularly. (It's clear that they don't want Ayan's article ever moved to the mainpage) even after Wikipedia polices allows him to have a self article. ... २ तकरपेप्सी talk 19:53, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- @२ तकर पेप्सी: I don't know. But if you end up finding out that person isn't notable then you can request it be speedy deleted under the appropriate criteria. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:28, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

The 61500 figure I got in the article was sourced (reference 48), but that is now a dead link. 209.201.121.4 (talk) 17:47, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hello IP! If the link is dead then how did you get that number, or were you able to find a working archive of the ref? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:52, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- It said so in the article. Look closely. 209.201.121.4 (talk) 17:54, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- Ah alright! I'll have the InternetArchiveBot run on that page and attempt to add the archive link (if none is found it'll tag it as dead). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:05, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- An archive was found for that link and was added. You should be able to reference it now using that. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:11, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks! Can you just make it so the refs aren’t duplicate in any way? 209.201.121.4 (talk) 01:25, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- I'm doing that right now actually. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 01:28, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Question from Superwillychen (17:07, 22 February 2022)
Wonder how to added a "Newbie" template to your User Talk page. --Superwillychen (talk) 17:07, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Superwillychen: You don't add anything to my user talk page except this. If you're referring to your own talk page then that would depend if said template even exists. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:08, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) @Superwillychen: You can put the This is a new user tag at the top of your user page to indicate you are a newbie, if that is what you meant. Best regards, Vukky TalkGuestbook 17:19, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- I never knew that template existed. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:21, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
Tails Voice in Sonic 2
I notice each time someone added Colleen O'Shaughnessy to the Sonic 2 movie billing list, it's removed. But just out of curiosity, would this newly released poster of Tails alone, posted by the official Twitter page, qualify as a source? https://twitter.com/SonicMovie/status/1496122773542158338 Mark RaceFan (talk) 22:39, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Mark RaceFan: No. We base that off the official billing block, which they are not on. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 22:41, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
Alright, thanks :) All I can say is maybe they'll rectify that for the third movie. This all reminds me how the first one didn't bill Ben Schwartz even though he literally played the title character. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark RaceFan (talk • contribs) 23:01, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

- @SkyeWolf369: I see what you're saying. A lot of the sources are either reviews for the DLC or not a review. Maybe try asking at WT:VG for assistance? I"m sure people there would know what to search for to return the results we are looking for. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:38, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

About the non-free image quality
I do my best to resolve it, but I just can't find a way to do it. You guys throw a hissy fit about image quality to the point where in most cases it's understandable, but in other cases it's laughable. Maybe you guys can show me what you guys use to minimize the size of non-free images. Is it a website, an app, or whatever it is. Show it to me, send mea link or something because I don't want to deal with these notices that my file is getting removed because it's in high quality. ChallengeCick (talk) 20:30, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @ChallengeCick: The images are already reduced size. You are uploading a higher quality version on purpose. If it's the first version of that image, a bot will add a tag to the page requesting it have the size reduced, and then another bot will come along and reduce the size automatically. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:33, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

- @NeoBatfreak: I'm not really a fan (I haven't even seen the movie yet!). I've made one copy edit but I'm not going to do any more copyediting to that until more sources get added since a lot of that section is unsourced, and it might just be WP:FANCRUFT. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 03:07, 25 February 2022 (UTC)

What makes me eligible to decline/accept edit filter requests
Just like the title, what makes me eligible to decline/accept edit filter requests? I'm asking you this because you said A quick search on Wikipedia using the search box shows he has no article, so no he should not be added to the article
on Wikipedia:Edit filter/False positives/Reports. Also, I pinged you on edit filter false positives because you declined a lot of false positives lately. Rusty4321 talk contributions log 23:28, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @Rusty4321: a lot of it boils down to having a understanding of edit filter syntax—you need to be able to understand what the filter is legitimately trying to catch before you can advise on potential false positives. -- TNT (talk • she/her) 23:57, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yep. Usually it's pretty self-explanatory (especially if you see the edit), however usually if it's not, the edit itself tends to explain it, and when it's not I wait for someone else to handle it. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 00:33, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

Blaze,
Thank you for your reply. Totally understand the importance of not self-editing. But not being wise in the ways of Wikipedia, I was unaware. Now that the deed is done, what is the remedy? Femme identity
Hello Blaze ! (idk if you will receive this message or not but i'll write it anyway, I hope it will worked !).
I answered to yo for this message => "without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted." on the femme identity.
Here what my first message (and so on the actual valid reasons (because lesbophobia is a VALID reasons) towards the one who censored me at first for defining my own identity :
Hey Im french so Im not very fluent in english. I only removed the problematic term which are not a part of this identity and which are implicitely provoke lesbian erasure. Femme si a lesbian identity, this is why i made this modification. I hope I made it clear, and sorry for my bad english.
NB: (and Im also a beginner in wikepedia so yeah Im may not know what I can do to protect my identity and the contrary). Thanks for you reading ! ^^ — Preceding
2nd message: You didn't responded me (?) so I will just modify again and I hope you won't change it for this time.
That's the whole message so Im kinda confused that this person just ignore me or what ? I coudn't have a discussion with him/her and I feel my writting is not respected at all (the irony is that it's literally a lesbian identity and bec Im a a beginner in this plateform i can't do anything to protect my own culture, I feel completely invalided).
Nonaupolitiquementcorrect (talk) 20:36, 3 March 2022 (UTC) Do you think you could remove it now I explain you the whole story ? ps: sorry for my grammar, english is (unfortunately) not my first language.
- @Nonaupolitiquementcorrect: Hello Non! I would suggest starting a discussion relating to this on the talk page of the article. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:40, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- 2 things also. 1, you removed statements that are properly referenced without providing a good reason in your edit summary. 2, you have said that you are French. There's a French language Wikipedia that might be better for you since you have said that you aren't very good with English. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:46, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the reponse ! I will try to write on it, I hope to have an answer for this time (but Im not really convinced about it). The good reason is bec of lesbian erasure, the thing is that it's even written on the wiki page (the fact that reclaiming the word is problematic) so it could be more logical not to have the definition recovering by other people when it is also written literally in the own page that it's not okay for doing it (it's kind of paradoxal). In the french page, the identity is defined by it's original meaning (before the recovery), so the fact that it's changes to different countries is a bit odd (and not very neutral but insist just on a subjective mind). These will be my arguments for making the modification. I guess I will post it on the page ! I think it's better too. Nonaupolitiquementcorrect (talk) 08:27, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
Best wishes

- @Tryptofish: Yep. And unfortunately I'm really only interested in making articles on video games, which is hard when a lot of video game articles for more well-known video games have already been created. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:16, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

Typo fix
Hi Blaze Wolf. You "corrected" gruit to fruit by using some kind of tool. This, thankfully, has been fixed: [6]. Would you do what is necessary to fix the tool so it doesn't repeat the same mistake. It looks like a useful tool, though there may well be other examples of it making mistakes - it appears to need human awareness and common sense to avoid simple errors. In this case there were two uses of gruit in the article, and it curiously ignored the first (which is linked), while highlighting the second (unlinked) use. It appears that it requires the human operator to cast an eye over the article before confirming the change. SilkTork (talk) 18:39, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SilkTork: Hello Silk! This is unfortunately something that is out of my control. The tool I'm using does require a human to look over it to make sure that what it is suggesting is correct. I have no clue how the tool works but you might be able to ask at the appropriate place at WP:CTI1C. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:54, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

With PAGENAME being the name of the articleand to link to a specific section, just add a # with the name of the section exactly as it appears inside the brackets, so to link to this section of my talk page, it would be User talk:Blaze Wolf#Charley RossUser talk simply just specifies it's a user talk page) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:28, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

- So this is a live discussion? RodMil612mpls (talk) 19:08, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- You are partially correct. While conversations on my talk page will generally stay here, if they might be relevant elsewhere then they can be mentioned elsewhere. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:02, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Every user has their own unique page for discussions called a Talk Page. (See WP:TP ) SkyeWolf369 (talk) 18:50, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

- I was wondering if a CSD would work then I remembered that educational institutes are exempt from CSD A7 lol. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:06, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Question now should I have used the PROD button or XFD? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:09, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: PROD is fine. If someone declines the PROD (or it was PRODed in the past) then you would use XFD (which will allow you to nominate it for deletion at WP:AFD). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:11, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: Interesting. I did not know that. I would've still gone with a PROD even if A7 did apply since that's generally safer (unless it's obvious that the subject isn't notable whatsoever, for example if I just made an article on myself and all it said was "Blaze Wolf is a Wikipedia editor" then that would make it obvious that there is no notability and A7 would apply). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:10, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- I would assume that A3 would apply though and schools arent exempt from A3. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:12, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: Actually you're wrong on that part. WP:CSD#A3 says "However, a very short article may be a valid stub if it has context, in which case it is not eligible for deletion under this criterion." so it would only apply if it just consisted of the template at the bottom or was completely blank (blanking the article probably wouldn't be allowed just so it would apply for A3). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:16, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

A friendly word
Hi Blaze. I've seen you pop up in a number of places recently where I've kind of gotten the impression that you were just commenting because you felt you were supposed to comment, or just because you wanted to, without really having much to say. For instance, here you replied to me to say that you didn't have any feedback on a technical change that had already been made and that I hadn't requested feedback on; here you replied to someone to say that, while you couldn't see their edit, you would assume good faith about it (which I don't think you intended as a criticism of me and Suffusion of Yellow, but which did come off that way, since the two of us had just chosen to not AGF about the edit); and here you responded to a notice about another user's sockblock. I've also seen you respond to several EFFP posts regarding private filters, making your best guess of what the issue was.
In all of these cases, I think maybe there's a disconnect, and it's one I understand, because I was also a neurodivergent younger Wikipedian once. I know that for me it's helpful to be told directly if I'm misunderstanding a social norm, so I'm hoping that the same is true for you. In short: Not everything needs to be replied to. Not everything is meant to be replied to. Sometimes there's nothing for you to say, either because you lack knowledge of the facts (as with the EFFP posts) or because you lack sufficient expertise in the subject (as with the JavaScript thing). Other times there's something to say but it won't benefit anyone (as with the reply to the block). In all of these cases, it's best to consider whether anyone else will benefit from hearing a thing.
I'll let you (and all of your talkpage watchers) in on something I've only told one person before: Several times per week, I write a long comment in a discussion somewhere, read the whole thing through, preview it, copy-edit it, preview it again, and then realize that for one reason or another I shouldn't post it, and close the tab before I can change my mind. That's probably not the best way to handle it, but that's my safeguard against saying things that others might not find constructive. I'm sure I'm wrong sometimes, in both directions. Some posts that I've spiked may have been totally fine. And I'm sure there's posts that I have made that have been unhelpful or unwelcome. (If this post numbers among them, what an irony that would be.) But my point is, it's good to build in some sort of "quality check" as your last step before posting something—considering whether it needs to be said, and whether you're the right person to say it.
All the best. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 02:38, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Tamzin: Hello Tamzin. Thank you for the feedback. I had been doing that previously (writing a comment and then not posting it because either I struggled to word it correctly or because I felt I couldn't provide a good enough answer), however for whatever reason I have noticed that I have stopped doing so. In the case where you and Suffusion Yellow weren't going to do the edit, I didn't know that when you were saying you were uncomfortable making the edit that the edit wasn't good and not that you were simply just not comfortable with what was contained in the edit and that it wasn't bad. With some private EFFP posts, I mainly only make comments when I feel the filter description accompanied with the page the attempted edit was on (and the description of the edit when there is one, although I do always take those with a grain of salt because the user could be lying in the description) give me enough info to make an educated guess as to what the user was trying to do. I do not understand my reasoning for no longer doing this "quality check" (i notice that I tend to have a hard time understanding why I am/am not doing something, probably because I usually just integrate some things to my daily "schedule"), however I will try and remember to do this. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 02:53, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Well, glad to hear you'll work on it. As to EFFP, I think it's safe to assume that if two EFH/EFMs aren't willing to proxy an edit, that's because there's a serious issue with it. In this case, you should be able to get a good idea of what the issue was based on what page they were trying to edit. More generally, I'd say the only time someone should respond to a private filter report even though they can't see the filter are:
- If the edits that hit private filters also hit public filters, and the private filters don't say anything like "LTA" or "sock". A common case of this would be hitting one of the public vandalism filters while also hitting the private "Indo-Aryan expletives" filter. If the private filter does say "LTA" or "sock", best to leave it even if it's a clear "not done", since it's important to know whether someone is "just" a vandal or actually an LTA.
- If the private filter hits are for "rapid disruption" and you verify that the editor's edits prior to those filter hits were indeed rapid disruption.
- Otherwise, it's best to leave it be. I try to check EFFP daily (even right now, while less active); SoY does at around the same frequency, I think; and there's an assortment of other EFHs, EFMs, and sysops moving through there. We will get to any private-filter reports. This is a case where someone helping without the full set of facts is really no better than no one helping.
- Even more generally, you might want to read an essay I wrote a while ago, Wikipedia:There's a reason you don't know. It's an important thing for anyone who works in anti-abuse fields to accept. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 03:12, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Tamzin: Alright sounds good. I remember that a few days ago (or was it a week?) I encountered a user who triggered an LTA filter with an admins username appended to it, so I had pinged the admin in the edit filter description since 1, they would probably know if it is an LTA or not and 2, they would be able to handle it properly. However, the admin never addressed it and it eventually got archived so I would assume the user ended up not being an LTA. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 03:15, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Wiki Page on “Lul Icey”
Hi I noticed there is no wiki page on Wisconsin rapper Lul Icey. They’re are tons of accomplishments and a really interesting timeline of his life so far that should be on Wiki. Article Quality Assessments
Are article quality assessments usually updated much or not because if not I would like to know how I would be able to get someone to reassess the quality of some articles I have added onto. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 13:55, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: They are updated occasionally. I myself use a tool called WP:RATER which helps me do it automatically. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:57, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Would you be available to update the assessment of some articles? Primarily Pocomoke High School and Stephen Decatur High School (Maryland) SkyeWolf369 (talk) 14:01, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Primarily because I do not want to do it myself because of the fact that I was one of the people who contributed to it and wish to avoid bias. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 14:12, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: The rating won't change since those articles need some more refs. Also, the rater tool usually uses a robot to determine the rating of an article and suggests that rating with a robot symbol next to it. THe first article is now rated as low importance for both Wikiprojects though since it was an unknown rating for one of them. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:18, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- So in order to get it a better rating I need to add references? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 14:30, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Also Blaze do you revert vandalism much? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:16, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: To your first question, yes. There are some things in that article that don't have any refs and should have them. To your second question, also yes. NOt as much as I used to since I"m trying to focus more on article work but I do still revert vandalism. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:34, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Blaze you know I am kinda struggling right now. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:37, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

- @SkyeWolf369: That would help. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:41, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Well ok then. Some of my goals on wikipedia are to help contribute as much as I can. I hope to be able to obtain rollback permissions soon as well as possibly AWB and some other permissions such as Extended Confirmed. I hope to one day also become a mentor and help others. But more then anything I would love to be able to do the Counter Vandalism Academy and maybe even become a Trainer for it. I plan on my primary focus on wikipedia being Anti-Vandalism. Those are some of my goals. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:46, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: Well I can tell you that you won't get AWB perms unless you have a reason for needing AWB. I remember I requested to have AWB a while back and when I was asked what I would use AWB for, I realized that I had no need for AWB and that I just wanted it because I had seen others use it and thought I would make good use of it as well. It has nothing to do with your behavior, but simply that you might not have a need for AWB. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:00, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

- Blaze what about the other goals I have? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 16:51, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: Extended confirmed I'm sure you'll get soon. As for becoming a trainer for the CVUA I have no clue. I had started some training in anti-vandalism with Vermont, however he became unavailable often so I never actually completed it. I don't know what the guidelines for being a trainer in the CVUA are because I've never had any interest in becoming one. Also, having your primary focus on Wikipedia being anti-vandalism is good, however I think it would be nice if you took a break from it occasionally and did some article work, not because it can get you blocked, but because anti-vandalism can be rather exhausting having to deal with vandals making similar edits. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:01, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

It has nothing to do with your behavior, but simply that you might not have a need for AWB. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:00, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: That would help. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:41, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Well perhaps you could help me better if I explained to you some of my goals? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:40, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: I know and I'm attempting to help you. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:39, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Blaze you know I am kinda struggling right now. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:37, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Also Blaze do you revert vandalism much? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 15:16, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- So in order to get it a better rating I need to add references? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 14:30, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Primarily because I do not want to do it myself because of the fact that I was one of the people who contributed to it and wish to avoid bias. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 14:12, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Would you be available to update the assessment of some articles? Primarily Pocomoke High School and Stephen Decatur High School (Maryland) SkyeWolf369 (talk) 14:01, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from Fazran fayad on User:Fazran fayad (18:15, 11 March 2022)
Bro, Is there any way to undo the edit in Special:Diff/1076498895 as in here he had undid my edits and then again I revert them Special:Diff/1076522402 but later he had again revert it Special:Diff/1076541092 with a threatening. Later I had explain it at here about this issue. By the way this is an on going show and how it would faces the wikipedia policy? ; and my other question is Bigg Boss (Tamil season 5) was also recently finished show, but this didn't face any challenges like in Cooku with Comali (season 3) , how is it possible?. --TFEPing 📝 18:15, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Fazran fayad: Well, I'm fairly sure that first diff was already reverted. Also, you must provide reliable sources when making an edit. It's not the task of other editors to do so. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:26, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, I had already given sources but still again had been undid it. So what am I supposed to do?. TFEPing 📝 19:45, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- But how uncited material been defined?.🤔 TFEPing 📝 19:49, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Confusion
How does the edit warring thing work and would it apply to like reverting vandalism 3 times in a row by the same person? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 13:04, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: If it's obvious vandalism then 3RR does not apply. See WP:3RRNO for exemptions to the 3RR rule. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:07, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Charley Ross Article
I wonder if this location is more private discussion and more appropriate but I don't really understand how Wikipedia works. I have appreciated all your replies and information on my efforts to edit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley_Ross. Dave notMD's comment Charley Ross has been dead a long time is true, but I hope to publish our research before I die and find his all very frustrating. Also, can you give me instruction about signing my profile? I found the Wikipedia page and what seems like hundreds of links to supporting articles. Can you simply tell me if and how I should sign my profile? You commented on that a while back. Thank you! Rod — Preceding unsigned comment added by RodMil612mpls (talk • contribs) 14:42, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- @RodMil612mpls: What exactly do you mean by "how should I sign my profile"? Wikipedia doesn't have profiles. The closest thing we have to profiles would be WP:Userpages, and even then those aren't true profiles in the essence that you can't post anything you want on there. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:46, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- You mentioned I had not signed a posting. I used a foreign word for Wiki, i.e. "profile." I'm referring to my "preferences" where a signature is requested. Do I type why name as the signature? Is it required or essential? Does it matter? if so how? Thanks! RodMil612mpls (talk) 14:57, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- @RodMil612mpls: Oh! That is done automatically by adding 4 tildes (this character: ~) to the end of your message like this ~~~~. You don't need to do anything else outside of adding that to the end of your message. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:00, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Mario Kart Wii screenshot rationale
Hi, I was editing the fair use rationale for the Mario Kart Wii screenshot, but I noticed you beat me to it! I went ahead and changed it to the video game screenshot template anyway because I figured it was appropriate. If you don't think this was correct feel free to revert my change. Have a good day! Bluecrystal004 (talk) 20:25, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Bluecrystal004: I think that's good. I've changed the template very slightly since the text for the low resolution parameter made mention of a "cover" which is not what that template is for. The word "cover" was replaced with "screenshot" ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:38, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
Username Change
So in order to get my username changed would I have to request it on this wiki or metawiki? Also what should I change my username too cause I am currently trying to move away from the username SkyeWolf369 due to personal issues.. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 18:08, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyeWolf369: You can request it on this Wiki at WP:CHU/S. However are you trying to say that you no longer want the username "SkyWolf369"? If so then I'll remove your request to usurp your old username since you no longer want that username. I don't know what you should change your username to however. That is a choice you get to make yourself. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:10, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Code
So I noticed on Levi's talk page you were talking about a parameter for the programming template thing. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 12:40, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
- I think this might work. Test it if you want. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 12:46, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
{{#if: {} | {{#switch: {learn} | yes = but would like to learn how. | no = and does not want to learn how. }} | | }}
- You don't need the first #if statement if you are using a switch; if there is no value then your switch as written will not return anything anyway. Primefac (talk) 12:49, 17 March 2022 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
- Sorry! Its a habit from other programming languages where a null value screws everything up so I am so used to just testing if a parameter is null. SkyeWolf369 (talk) 12:51, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

Some questions
I recently got extended confirmed (yay!) what can I do now that I have it? SkyeWolf369 (talk) 12:44, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- Blaze is on WP:Wikibreak: Congratulations! Extended Confirmed doesn't give much in comparison to auto confirmed users, but it does give you another layer of trust to know you've stuck around for 500 edits. Thank you for your contributions! You also now have access to extended confirmed protected articles; I would advise you that you need to be careful going to these articles, because the blue lock is reserved for content that is usually controversial or under high levels of vandalism, such as Jerusalem or Arab–Israeli conflict. You now also have access to the Wikipedia:Content translation tool, if that interests you. Panini! • 🥪 14:29, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Most likely around the time Summer starts here in the US (or rather, in the northern hemisphere since when Summer starts there, it's Winter in the southern hemisphere). As you've probably noticed I have made some smaller edits that are more on the maintenance side of things, however I'm mostly not actively watching Wikipedia so I"m not fully back. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:32, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
Teyora - Development first look!
Hi! I'm Ed6767, the original creator of RedWarn, now one of the most popular tools on the English Wikipedia that's been used by over 1,000 Wikimedians to make over 300,000 edits since mid-2020 that's been praised for its user friendliness and ease of use, but criticised for its limited functionality. I'm leaving this message as I think it may be of interest here - I left the RedWarn project in November to develop Teyora, my successor to RedWarn (alongside Chlod's UltraViolet). It's a new in development web app that uses some of the latest web technologies to create a highly extendable all in one editing tool with a focus on administration, counter vandalism and general patrolling - not to mention, it'll work on every Wikimedia project without any prior configuration and can be used by any user with at least auto-confirmed rights*. Now, I'm ready to give the Wikimedia community a first look at what I've been doing over the past six months and what to expect going forward.
You can check out the 20 minute first look at the in development version on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzlpnzXdLP4.
There's lots more to expect too! Why not read the full details page at meta:Teyora and leave any feedback, comments or wishes at meta:Talk:Teyora (please leave any correspondence there to keep discussion centralised). If you're interested, you can leave your signature
*with basic features, advanced features require configuration. To prevent abuse, auto-confirmed users will be in a restricted mode until approved by an admin or via rollback rights.

- @SkyWolf369: With the first one... I honestly don't know. Editing articles and stuff is really the only way I can think of. With your second question, that requires you to change your global preferences at Special:GlobalPreferences. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:13, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
- Also is there any way to make the styles I have on this Wikipedia apply to all others? SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:09, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oh hey I didn't expect a response if I am being honest so um what can I like do to be more involved in the community. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:05, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
Wikipedia Library
Whats this Wikipedia Library thing I havent figured out the use for it. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:04, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyWolf369: WP:TWL explains it. It allows you to gain access to some sources that are normally paywalled. I would just sign up for it in case you encounter a paywalled source that you can access through TWL. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:09, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oh so I can find more sources to list for a Wikipedia article. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:10, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
- @SkyWolf369: Yep. For example, The New York Times tends to be paywalled. I do actually know of a Chrome extension that just allows you to ignore the paywall, however it doesn't work all the time as sometimes even when you get past the paywall, you're either locked where you are on the page, or the rest of the content is still hidden. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:13, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
- Ah ok. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:15, 22 April 2022 (UTC)

- Oh so you do work! ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:05, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
- .30 Super Carry? I have never heard of that. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:49, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Looks like some kind of pistol attachment or something. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:52, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Its a type of bullet but I have never heard of that variation. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:55, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Well what do I know? I'm not some kind of gun geek. I prefer cars and video games. Hence why there's Subaru Forester, Pontiac Grand Prix, GMC motorhome, etc on there as well as Mudrunner (which is the predecessor to an article I"ve worked on, Snowrunner) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:57, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- I like guns and all like military stuff. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 13:59, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- I know Mudrunner and Snowrunner have some military spec vehicles (and I also play World of Tanks Blitz which is a game about shooting other tanks with your tank), but they don't specify in them. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:00, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oh world of tanks. I play War Thunder like daily. I have spent a lot of money on it. Thats primarily where I got my interest. SkyTheWolf (Talk) 14:02, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- (this is getting a bit off-topic so this'll be my last reply to this convo) I've tried to play War Thunder but I haven't really been able to. Can't exactly remember why. I've heard that it's a bit more realistic as unlike where in WoT where you have a set amount of HP and each bullet can do a certain amount of damage, War Thunder just has it realistic. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:31, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
